Yknow it's a good think Kakashi was like "Sasuke. Chill. Sasuke. CHILL SASUKE CHILL" in the land of waves arc because imagine Sasuke had gone through with his consideration to off himself. My god the way team 7 would be in pieces and Itachi would be spiralling. The way Hiruzen would be sweating it out when Kakashi returns with the announcement he's lost Sasuke on their first mission outside the country. Just. Damn.

Hello! Do you all remember the post I shared about Lucrecia’s scene here in the OG?

If not then let me share a very sad connection I made. In this Lucrecia moment she says about her baby (Sephiroth):

“watashi no kawaī kodomo”

This means along the lines of “My cute baby…” or “my sweet little child.” The use of “kawaī” by Lucrecia is the key point because it shows her affection. “Kawaī” is used for cute little things like a kitten or darling baby.

Now here is what the dream version of Lucrecia in The First Soldier calls Sephiroth:

可愛いセフィロス。こっちへいらっしゃい。

“Kawaī Sephiroth. Come here.”

She fawns over her son with a phrase like “Cute, little Sephiroth” and then hugs him. You can interpret it as “sweet” or “darling” as well and that’s how they came up with “my sweet little boy.” It works just fine because “kawaī” is for precious little things.

The point here is that they have referenced this OG piece of dialogue from Lucrecia about her son. It looks like they make a distinction for Lucrecia to always see her son as this innocent and cute child even in a dream. Let nobody doubt that Lucrecia loved her baby even after everything 😢

Forever thinking about Shisui trying to shield Itachi from things for as long as he could. Only to end up leaving it all to him in the end. With nothing more to give than a weak reassurance that he believed in his friend.

All I can imagine is just how guilty Shisui must have felt as he went over the cliff. How much of a failure he must have felt like hoisting the baton onto Itachi in a last ditch effort to save their home.

Shisui makes me so sad. Him and Itachi both deserved so much better.

The CC scene of him just...standing there is so depressing.

He's not even reading at this point. He's not moving. He's just frozen in complete horror and misery in realizing that his entire life since birth is basically a lie. His friends are gone. His caretakers violated him. He's not even fully human. He went to war for nothing. He killed people for nothing. He endured all that trauma for nothing. He was only ever a pawn, a piece in a larger, crueler game. A weapon. An experiment.

And he festered alone in this mindset for an entire week.

Kids start losing their baby teeth when they're around 5 and keep losing them by the time they turn 13 (generally speaking). And Itachi had, by that time, seen a war, been sent to a dangerous organization which made him kill people older than him, saw his best friend die, had to carry out the massacre, including killing his parents.

All before he lost his baby teeth.

I was just spitballing a number tbh but. Sitting down and doing the math if Itachi was ~12/~13 depending on if you count the light novels canon. Sasuke was ~7/~8. So yeah roughly 5 or 6 years. I think.

I am shit at math tho so you could very well be right tbh. But still. A long time for Kakashi to sit there going. Orders? What Orders. Send Better Kids Man Idfk.

So like if Kakashi was dropped from the ANBU and moved to be a Jonin instructor when Itachi left the village. That was a good 6 or 7 years before the start of the show.

And all I can imagine is the hokage going "Be a teacher" and watching 20 year old Kakashi proceed to go Get Fucked Hiruzen I'm Not Doing That and fail every fucking group he's sent for half a decade. Not like Hiruzen will do anything about it anyway.

//This is Kamiko, one of Orochimaru's experiments. She's one of his many pet projects involving the Akastuki's DNA and an attempt to create the perfect vessel.

She was made using Kakuzu and Hidan's DNA in an attempt to create an immortal one, but unfortunately procreation is a sin in jashinisism so Jashin was Not Happy with her existence.

He periodically possesses her in a sort of Yami/Yugi situation, using her as a vessel to slay others in his name. Usually her friends or fellow clones (read as: siblings/cousins), considering the whole Slay Thy Neighbor idea jashinism functions on.

So yeah. Not the most well liked amongst her peers, but one of Orochimaru's favorites.

All the gore and heartbreak of existing has left her a pacifist, which she. Tries her best to act on despite the god inside her Disagreeing. She's surviving and trying to be a good person on spite and stubbornness alone low key.

She also loves gardening but unfortunately is terrible at it rip </3
