i think it’s rather interesting how kishimoto chooses to draw this as a chapter cover right after kushina meets mikoto

it shows naruto and sasuke side by side as babies, way before they met in canon. i know the chapter caption says they were babies born in konoha’s chaos, but it’s an interesting choice, especially after kushina hopes naruto and sasuke get along when they grow up in the previous chapter. isn’t it possible of kishimoto to be implying with this cover what could be of them if the world they were born was less chaotic? as in growing up together.

I feel like @sloaners fic, Akatsuki Babysitter's Club is such a classic naruto fic, definitely up there in "the fics most ever" but I can recognize Im possibly biased and projecting my own experience w the fic onto the fandom

Either way, it's a classic in my heart <3

Anyways I re-read it yesterday, and it was just as much of a riot as the first time I read it. Then I laid down to sleep and stared at the ceiling then shot up and immediatley went to my tablet and the next thing I knew it was 8 am and I hadn't slept at all, but I did make this cute comic for the fic, so !!!

kinda funny how fugaku calls itachi a kind child, and then 5 minutes later, itachi tortures his 7 year old brother.

also itachi: tortures sasuke twice, manipulates and abandons him, and literally ruins his life.

yk that concept of werewolves just turning into silly doggos at the full moon? that but it’s the uchiha clan turning into cats

given the infinite tsukuyomi works by reflecting a genjutsu onto the moon via rinne-sharingan, which spreads its effects to those outside the range of the castor, one can say the moon has an amplifying effect on dojutsus, specifically the rinnegan/sharingan. so for uchiha who’ve awakened their sharingan? you could tangle them together more and say the moon enhances the strength of their eyes

if a full moon means don't fuck with the uchihas, then when there’s no moon? kitty cat transformation time >:3

it would probably be a pretty normal affair in the clan since most everyone awakens it, such is the life of a shinobi etc etc

(if there’s a civilian portion of the clan, the intersection of the two would be so fun. the swordsmith visiting their clan head’s house to drop off some fish bc the heir got their sharingan this month and in the frenzy of it all the amount of food that’s safe for cats got low)

((on that note, foodstuff cats can’t eat would only apply when they’re in cat form but i’m sure they have in-clan superstitions about how it should be avoided as humans as well but. there are differing levels of compliance to that))

anyways. cat uchihas in the clan compound = absolutely normal sight amoung themselves. nothing new. cat uchihas OUTSIDE the clan compound on a new moon. well then.

team minato on a weeklong mission and one night when obikaka are rooming together kakashi wakes up in a cold sweat bc obito suddenly smells like cat. taking getting along like cats and dogs to a whole new level w them lol

silly lads like shisui n kagami n mikoto (in my mind) are probably pushing things off shelves like :3c esp when crashing with their non-uchiha buddies

itachi n fugaku being grumpy/hissy/fussy asshole cats for various reasons (i’d pin itachi as being sensitive to the sensation changes meanwhile fugaku just wants to be unbothered. he knows his wife is terrorizing the clan kids who haven’t awoken their sharingan and he supports her, he’s just enjoying the one night of the month he doesn’t have to live up to any expectations by himself)

madara tries to be a dignified cat but he bristles when offended/startled (often n easily) and is LOUD izuna is that black cat which is just eyes in a Shape. somehow always there where u never expect him. watching. sometimes messing around w kagami. also loud but affectionate in the annoying way n he does it on purpose <3

hikaku is impossible to spot n looks like the normal one but he gets roped into whatever silly things kagami and izuna like to do on occasion. no one who doesn't know him suspects his involvement

man. now i'm thinking abt tobirama w his big cat summons and how people adjusted to this in early konoha.

it's probably not something they advertised, given that it's a possible point of exploitation, but would totally be brushed off as "it's just a thing we do," when people ask or turned onto others like "you don't transform w the moon?? weak."

edit: let’s ignore how i forgot sasuke but if u watched naruto in any capacity i think u can guess what sorta cat he is <3

Fic where the unjust death of the Uchiha and the subsequent horrific abuse to their bodies via blatant and indiscriminant eye theft results in Konoha being haunted by the spirits of several very angry Uchiha.

"You know... They say that so long as an Uchiha's eyes do not rest in their body, their spirit will never find peace."

When the husk of a woman who used to be Mikoto smiles, there is blood in her teeth.

"What do you think, Elder Danzo?"

Ft.

- Sasuke being repeatedly lured into the woods by the ghosts of his family (and notably, his parents) both bc some want to protect him and some, not powerful enough to retain their sanity in death, wish for him to die so they might take their eyes as their own

- Nara Shikaku, among others in the Hokage's tower, being repeatedly faced with the unsettlingly eyeless ghost of Fugaku as he appears sporadically and attempting to act as if nothing is wrong— always dissapearing when someone questions how he is there (whether he truly seems to keep forgetting that he has died is unclear, but no methods to purge the offices seems able to keep him away for long)

- the spirit of Mikoto taking on a spokesperson role for the dead, as she seems to have been the one to retain the most of herself in death while plagued with the corruptive everything that comes with being a spirit tied to the earth through nefarious means (with Fugaku being a potential second— if he wasn't so busy w convincing himself he hadn't died at all)

- Danzo being haunted by the more mindlessly violent Uchiha ghosts, driven mad in the afterlife at seeing their eyes in his unworthy flesh

- A surprisingly sane Kagami who has Thoughts and Feelings ab Danzo taking his eye— and the mystery of how exactly he had died

- A suddenly the most qualified person to deal with ghosts Kakashi, who's unfortunatley doomed both attract and to be able to see the Uchiha ghosts with his sharingan, and has them breathing down the back of his neck with talk of watching after Sasuke and GETTING REVENGE !!!!!!!!!!!!! which he is legally obligated to do now as the elder ghosts deem his service as their conduit to be his duty, since they gave him a pass on the eye thing. There's a lot of "see I TOLD you it was a good idea to let him keep the eye!! Clearly Amaterasu has left him here for us to use in our darkest of hours"

Aka forcefully adopted by Uchiha ghosts Kakashi who's "adoption" reads a little more like "indentured servitude to the afterlife"

(And he can't help but wonder why he hasn't seen Obito's ghost, after so many years with his eye in his head...

- Itachi being absoloutley hounded by the guilt of what hes done and the spirits of those hes killed, whove left the haunting of Konoha specifically to haunt him (He is not having fun) (The ghost of Shisui is doing his best to ward away the more volatile ones)

And more !!! Potentially, idk. This would be a fun one if I wrote it but I will not. Someone totally should tho , just, not me.

Edo Tensei Brainstorming!

So what do we know about Edo Tensei? Can they eat? Do they feel pain? Are their bodies functional, do they have bones, organs? Itachi seemed to be in pain when Kabuto blasted him with sound waves, but had no reaction to being cut in half.
