There's a woman in the den. Her presence makes your fur stand on end, your instincts screaming that she isn't safe. The harsh growl that fills the room only seems to amuse her, the woman kneeling a bit away from where you're sat.

"Aw, hey there, sweetie.." She coos, voice soft and soothing. "I know, I'm a big scary stranger, huh? Poor pup.." Nobody else is home, you don't think. Rowen definitely wouldn't be letting someone wonder in like this. "I'm Vivian," The woman smiles, bearing her neck. It's a vulnerable gesture, an act of trust, and an attempt to show she isn't a danger.

It surprises you, enough that your growl teeters into a confused whine.

Vivian hums, holding out her hand towards you. "Here, come on. You're ok, dear.." She seems perfectly content to wait, making no move to get closer. "It's ok.."

She remains perfectly still as you approach and sniff her hand, allowing you to investigate. The woman smells.. familiar, which only further confuses you. Her scent is the same that lingers on some of the blankets and pillows strown across the house.

"See? I'm a friend.." After a moment she delicately pets your head, "how rude of my husband... bringing a cute little one home and not telling me."

Caregiver!House and Caregiver!Wilson x Little!Reader

Prompt-"Who gave you the right to hit me?!”

“You really are a duckling right now.” House muses.

A smile widens across your face and you nod your head vigorously. You followed behind him closely with a slight bounce in your step. Every step taking the two of you closer to his office.

“Hey,” He leans closer to you. “If I asked, would you quack?” You giggle. “Preferably at Wilson.” He clarifies.

Giggling, you nodded. He chuckles a bit at your antics. Before getting distracted in front of his office. 

“Speaking of which, here’s your chance.” House pointed.

As you make your way up to Wilson your bounces become more frequent. Before he’s given a chance to comment on how happy you seemed to be, he’s cut off.

“Quak!” You shout playfully at him.

“Wha- haha- What?” Wilson laughs gobsmacked by what's happened.

House answers him quickly and quietly while you bounce into his office. Upon entering you gingerly toss yourself onto the couch while House and Wilson shut the blinds and lock the doors.

James turns to you first. “So they’re a kid right now?”

“Essentially.” House answers, walking over to you. He takes a seat beside you and grabs your face lightly giving it a squeeze. “But aren’t they just the cutest thing?” He dramatizes.

You giggle and lightly hit his hands away. Suddenly he gasps and holds his hand close to his chest.

“Who gave you the right to hit me?!” Gregory catechizes.

“You did.” Wilson tells him. “As soon as you grabbed their face you waived all rights.” He states while sitting on the other side of you.

“What’re you a lawyer?” House questions in feigned annoyance.

You laugh more as you look back and forth between the two. Wilson presses House on how long you’d been regressing, and specifically how long he’d been caregiving. House explains and pokes fun at Wilson. Wilson shoots back.

You’re  left out of most of their conversation, but you didn’t mind. Your younger mind made you talk less. Your need to have your voice heard incredibly lessened as you sat content to listen to every word thrown in earshot.

Eventually, however, you were bound to get bored. Which you most certainly did. When your boredom hits you push yourself into their conversation more. Not by talking, no, instead you climbed yourself into Jame’s lap.

“Well someone wants attention!” House playfully points out the obvious. “I’m just glad it’s not my lap for once.” He adds silently.

Despite saying this Gregory scoots closer to you and Wilson. So much closer that he’s able to take your legs and lay them in his lap. Which he does.

“Well, it looks like someone wants attention.” Wilson says to you.

You look over to House and wave energetically. Your arm moves and you open and close your palm repeatedly. 

“Hello to you too. Didn’t realize saying hi to someone you’ve been sitting with for an hour could be so exciting” He condescends.

“Hey, they’re allowed to be excited over anything they want to be excited about.” James scolds playfully back at him.

You exaggeratedly go limp, falling back with a fake pout and a sigh. You mumble something neither of the men truly catch, and you shove your face into Wilson's arm.

“I think they're done with your bickering.” House accuses.

“My bickering!” Wilson starts.

“Stop!” You shout, throwing yourself into Gregory’s lap now.

“Ahh, too much noise?” He asks and you nod. “Aand you’re bored.” He says and you nod again.

“Maybe they need a nap.” James offers, looking at you with your face shoved into House's stomach.

House hums as a response, and pulls you to the other side of the couch carefully to avoid his leg. The action effectively offending Wilson as he moves to hold your legs in his lap. You mumble more random things into House’s chest until your boredom seeps into sleepiness which seeps into sleep.

Both men couldn’t help but admire the now sleeping you that clung to Gregory like he was the world's best teddy bear.

Caregiver!wilson headcanons

(been obsessed with him sm lately, he is my cg and I won’t let you say otherwise :(

Headcanons!

⭐️A very empathetic caregiver! He is already sensitive and caring when he is not on full caregiver mode, but whenever his little cries or feels overwhelmed he just can’t help but be overprotective and feel a lot for his little, he might even cry just like his little is doing

⭐️Loves to watch the cartoons or movies you watch when you’re regressed with you! At the start he just wanted to accompany you while you watched your cartoons and keep an eye on you, but he can’t deny that he has grown to love them too!

⭐️Very worried! Wilson has an eye on you almost 24/7 whenever you regress, making sure you don’t do stuff that might hurt you, and making sure you don’t do stuff that you’re too little to do, and if you ever do get hurt he panics and makes sure it isn’t serious, if you guys are at his home then he will go over to his bathroom where he keeps the med kit immediately after.

⭐️Serious about bedtimes! He can be a little strict about what time you go to bed but it’s only because he cares about your well being and doesn’t want you to fuss when you have to wake up.

⭐️On the same note, he also makes sure you do the things you’re supposed to do everyday, like brushing your teeth, bathing and eating, if you’re big enough to do them yourself he will gently remind you to do these until you to do (he won’t stop insisting until you do, and no, he will not give up) but if you’re feeling too little he will help you through them or do the activities himself (he will brush your teeth and feed you)

⭐️As he is a doctor, he always gets worried whenever you present any symptoms of getting sick, a slight cough? He will worry, little headache? Tell him all about it. If you were to actually get sick enough to have to go to the hospital he will try to be by your side all of the time, holding your hand and helping you through the hard parts of it (for me needles!)

⭐️He tries to avoid taking care of a little while House is around, but it ends up being inevitable and he will just warn him a concerning amount of times to be nice to you (uncle house can actually be very fun, but he is also a big prankster, and if one of his pranks gets out of control you better believe Wilson will completely scold him for it)

⭐️Loves the nickname “kiddo!” One of his to-go nicknames for his little whenever he has to take care of one (not for a regressed house of course, he doesn’t like nicknames much)

⭐️PLUSHIES! It is canon that he has a cute doctor bear plushie in his office and he always lets you play with it as well as buying you new ones whenever he has the chance!
