Age Regressor!Hunter Headcanons

He’d always wished he could do more childish things back when he worked for Belos, and yearned for simple things like toys. It was only when he found a book about childhood trauma and it’s psychological affects, did he find the coping mechanism.

He was embarrassed to try it out but it became (almost) easy to him, as it was what he was already doing but with extra steps.

He involuntarily and voluntarily regresses, and started doing it more often when he joined Luz and her friends.

When he involuntarily regresses it’s rough. He has to be held and talk to for at least half an hour, sometimes up to two hours. He rocks back and forth and hugs his knees very tightly while trying to ground himself. Once he’s decent, he’ll still be sniffling for a long time.

When it’s voluntary he loves to giggle and play with everything he can. Although he has a few comfort items, he loves to go explore as that was limited in his time with the Emperor’s Coven.

He regresses to around 1-5 typically.

He absolutely loves to babble when he isn’t shy anymore; when he’s completely comfortable he’ll draw and show his picture to whoever is babysitting him.

His favorite activity is movie nights, even though he loves to babble he prefers to be quiet and be sleepy.

Hunter also loves praise and tries to help his cg/babysitter with whatever they’re doing. Cooking? He’s putting water in the pot. Cleaning? He’s clumsily sweeping the floors.

He has a stuffed bird for when he misses flapjack. But while flapjack was alive? The bird would sit on his shoulder the entire time he was little, and would occasionally bring him small toys.

I think Willow would be his CG while they were in the human realm (along with Camila) but after they return Darius would be his full-time CG and Willow would be his secondary one.

Him and Amity didn’t connect well for a long time, but now they have little play dates together and trade stickers.

Hunter likes to paw at blankets as if he’s a wolf, and curls up in forts he makes like his favorite animal.

In sunshine AU, Amity has visited Lilith's parents while she is in regress?

Amity was very nervous. Lilith’s parents were coming over for their once a month visit and it would be their first time meeting Amity. The girl was anxious for multiple reasons though. First she was nervous that her parents would be judgemental and think she wasn’t a good enough student for Lilith to teach. But another part of her was scared that they would be like Odalia. This anxiety was planted in her head after hearing from Luz that Lilith’s parents were neglectful of Lilith but were trying to be better. Even though they were trying, it still scared Amity.

It was still the morning and her parents wouldn’t be there until the afternoon so Amity had some time to prepare. Unfortunately, instead of trying to make herself look presentable and fix up the place, her brain decided that it would be the perfect time to feel little. This made it super hard for her to do anything. But she repressed it the best she could.

Amity tried to skip breakfast, as she was a bit too anxious to eat, and she was worried she would have a hard time holding her utensils, but Lilith made sure she ate. Luckily, she let her have a nutrition bar, letting her be able to hide her little feelings.

After helping Lilith clean up the house a bit, the little feeling was starting to get worse. Amity was dropping things, having a hard time with her speech and was having a difficult time keeping motivated. Lilith eventually caught on though.

“Why don’t you take a break, sweetie? I can get you a cup of appleblood and a snack?” Lilith offered. 

“Umm.. mkay,” Amity agreed. She was feeling a bit hungry and needed a break. 

Lilith led her to the kitchen and opened up the fridge and took out a banana and appleblood. She cut up the banana into small pieces and then took out Amity’s sippy cup. It was a cute pink one with handles, meant for really young toddlers. She poured the appleblood into the cup and screwed on the lid. She placed the plate and sippy cup in front of Amity.

“Lilith… I can’t regress…” Amity mumbled when she saw the sippy cup.

“Can’t? Or won’t?” Lilith asked. Most of the time, when Amity would say she couoldn’t regress, it was more of she wouldn’t regress due to anxiety.

“I-.... I don’t want to regress when your parents are here…” She said. If she regressed while her parents were there, she’d be a total embarrassment!She can’t do that to her. After everything Lilith has done for her, embarrassing her would be a horrible way to repay her.

“Dearest,” Lilith started, “My parents already know you’re a little. I explained it to them in a scroll call. They don’t mind if you regress while they're over,” She explained.

“But I don’t want to embarrass you…” Amity mumbled. 

“Amity, nothing, and I mean nothing you do will embarrass me. When you're that little, you can’t help doing things that may seem embarrassing when you're bigger,” Lilith told her, “Now, you wanna drink your appleblood and eat your fruit before I help you get changed?” 

Amity accepted it and nodded, allowing herself to finally slip. She ate her banana and drank her appleblood. When she finished, Lilith got her changed so she wouldn’t have to worry about the potty and they sat in the living room and waited for Gwen and Dell to arrive.

About half an hour later, there was a knock at the door. Lilith went to open it with Amity trying to hide behind her. 

“Lilith! Sweet flea, how have you been!” Gwen said before Lilith could even greet her. Then she spotted Amity, hiding behind her legs.

“Oh and you must be Amity! Lilith told us a lot about you,” Gwen said, crouching down a little. Amity whimpered and tried to hide more behind her Mama.

“It’s okay, dear,” Lilith assured her, “Say hi,” 

Amity let go from her Otabin stuffy for barely a second to wave before clutching it with both hands again.

“Aw, she reminds me of you when you were younger~” Gwen told Lilith. When Lilith was younger, she was always very nervous and shy.

“Yeah, she does,” Lilith gently ruffled her hair. 

Dell stepped inside and gave Lilith a hug. 

“Good to see you again, Pumpkin,” He said. Lilith smiled.

“Good to see you again too, dad. Oh, come inside! I’ll go get lunch started,” Lilith led them inside and into the kitchen.

Amity kept very close to Lilith as she cooked. The older witch tried to get her to go play with her toys so she wouldn’t get hurt if any hot food were to fall, but the young witchlet did not want to leave Lilith’s side.

“Mom, can Amity sit in your lap while I cook? If she squirms too much, you can put her in the highchair,” Lilith asked. Amity whined but was soon picked up by Gwen like she weighed nothing.

“Come on, sweet flea, your Mama has to cook,” She sat down at the table with Amity sitting on her lap. The witchlet was a little squirmy but started to settle down once she realized that Dell and Gwen were safe. 

“Oh, hun, show her the new thing you carved!” Gwen told her husband. Dell opened his bag of holding (Yes, d&d items exist in this universe and you can't stop me) and pulled out a wooden rattle. He shook it in front of Amity, making her stare at it and giggle. The noise was like music to her ears! It was a good sensory noise. The rattle inside of the wooden ball on the stick sounded a lot better than the rattles that she had. Amity stimmed and flapped her hands. At first, Dell was confused and stopped shaking the rattle.

“Sweet flea? Is it normal for her hands to flap?” He asked Lilith.

“Yes! She flaps her hands when she’s either really happy, excited, or when she’s overstimulated. It’s called stimming. She does it when her body has a lot of energy from her emotions,” Lilith explained, pouring stew into three bowls. Amity would have her bottle later since she had a snack not too long ago. 

Amity wanted to stay in Gwens lap and didn’t want to go into her highchair. Luckily, Gwen was okay with it and let the girl stay. She drew on a piece of paper as the adults talked about big kid things that Amity didn’t need to worry about.

After lunch, they went into the living room. Lilith set up Amity’s play pen and set the girl in it while she and her parents caught up and talked on the couch. Amity still felt a little nervous about regressing around Lilith’s parents. Especially with her bathroom situation. She had already used her diaper twice but didn’t want to interrupt the adults. She was told that it was very rude to interrupt when the adults were talking by Odalia.

Even though sometimes she found using her diaper a good sensory and self-soothing, it was starting to get uncomfortable. She whimpered a little and squirmed as she tried playing with her blocks. 

Lilith started to see this from the corner of her eye and knew something was up.

“Excuse me for a second,” She said before kneeling down next to Amity.

“Hey sweetie, is something wrong?” She asked. Amity nodded.

“Can you tell me?” However Amity shook her head. She did not feel like saying her problem out loud.

“Is it a sensory problem?” Lilith first guessed. Amity nodded.

“Is your onesie itchy?” She guessed. A head shake.

“Is it your diaper?” She asked. Amity’s face went red but she nodded. Lilith gave her a diaper check and it was indeed due for a change. She picked the witchlet up and bounced her on her hip.

“I have to go give Amity a diaper change, if you need anything i’ll be in the first room upstairs. Turn the crystal ball on if you want to,” Lilith said before heading upstairs to Amity’s room. 

She laid Amity on the dresser which also acted as a changing table. Once she got the new diaper taped up, she blew a raspberry on her tummy, causing her to giggle.

“You tell Mama when you need a change, okay? It doesn’t matter who I’m with, I won’t be embarrassed if you ask for a change,” Lilith told her. Amity still felt like that wasn’t true and that Lilith would be embarrassed. She remembered one time when she was really young, she had an accident at a dinner party and Odalia had been really angry, saying that she had embarrassed her. But Amity tried to remember that this wasn’t Odalia. So she nodded and the two made their way downstairs.

The rest of the day, Dell, Gwen, Lilith, and Amity hung out together. They played games, talked for a bit and even watched a movie together. Lilith was really glad that was warming up to her parents. Overall, it was a really good day.
