Yeah, we purposefully put a bunch of colour everywhere indoors and on exteriors in Norway so we don't lose our minds in that cold, grey/white void!! Fireplaces, warm rugs, comfy chairs, wood-browns and reds and greens and blacks!!

Another problem that's not often brought up is that it's still fucking sunny in winter here! It's bright as hell, cause fresh snow reflects a bunch of light from the ground to your face. Imagine the sunlight AND snow light bouncing around in your room first thing in the morning, you'd wake up snowblind!

Fun fact: Many nordic people actually genuinely hate the all-white minimalist ~Scandinavian Interior Design~ type of decor. This kind of thing:

You know why? Because for about half the year, the whole entirety of the Outside World looks like this:

The people are already so goddamn starved of colour that they are getting scurvy. And then some evil fuck decided that the indoors can't have colour in it either.
