The Wizard

Marvel gets smacked so hard he thinks he’s Shazam. That’s it.

Superman: *helps Marvel up* “Oh my Rao, are you okay??”

Marvel: *confused as to who the man in blue is* “Yes, I am fine.” *brushes himself off and sees a giant space ship in the sky* “What in the world is that?”

Supes: “It’s the ship?”

Marvel: “What ship?”

Supes: “The ship that’s invading us- you know the drill. Aliens come to earth, and we take them out. Marvel are you okay?

Marvel: “I already said I am fine, and my name isn’t Marvel, I am Sha-”

*they get shot at by the ship*

Marvel: “Never mind. Let me take care of this.”

Supes: “Wait, Cap!”

Marvel: *proceeds to ram himself into the ship leaving a Cap sized hole*

Said ship proceeded to start falling on the city below. The heroes then immediately rushed to try and stop it from landing on the city.

And before anyone says this is out of character, this is young, kinda old, but still young Shazam. This man was a shepherd. From like 9000 years ago. This man prayed to the Gods so hard they were like, “here, take these powers. Go nuts, freaky bro.” To which he then went on to murder all the people who murdered his family. He could’ve been unhinged because I don’t think you understand how much hatred that man must’ve put into his prayers for the gods to notice him.

Back at the Watchtower…

GL: You were a shepherd? Like a dude that herds sheep type of shepherd?”

Marvel: “Yes.”

WW: “How does one go from herding sheep to being a super hero?”

Marvel: “A gang of thieves killed my family. So I prayed, and the gods blessed me, princess.”

WW: “Oh… I apologize-

Marvel: “Then killed off the bandits.”

GL: *chokes on spit and coughs a lot* “What?”

Marvel: “I hunted them down and killed them all.”

WW and GL: *share a concerned look before looking back at Marvel*

WW: “We were all under the impression that you refrained from killing anyone. Regardless of whether or not they were a bad person.”

Marvel: “What made you think that? In this strange future, have I stopped?”

GL: “As far as we know!”

Then there was the inevitable time Shazam had enough of being called Cap, or a Marvel, or even worse Captain Marvel.

Marvel: “Why do you all keep calling me that?”

Supes: “No offense, but you’ve… Never really told us your name.”

Marvel: “I haven’t? Do I not trust you? Aren’t you all my future comrades?”

Supes: “We are! We’ve known you for four, almost five years. It’s just, whenever we ask, you kind of just shut down.”

Marvel: “Really? Then I might as well get it out of the way. My name is Shazam.” *gets lightninged into little billy and sees how little he is* “WHAT IN THE GODS NAMES?”

You know, for all the talk about the importance and coolness of adoption and found families, y’all sure love to sleep on the Shazam Family and relatives they got. I mean for real.

You got the Wizard Shazam/Mamaragan (let’s get some diversity in this bitch)

Then you have his found siblings:

His edgy bio demon children:

Another edgy kid he picked up (he’s actually called the “Son of Mamaragan”):

Another kid (DC writers have stated they have a father son relationship so bite me);

That same kid’s legal, foster parents (I’m tired of y’all forgetting Victor/Rosa and their existence for Superman, Batman, Constantine, etc. Also Billy can have more than 2 parental figures)

You got a very unique approach and connections with many characters to mess around, headcanon, play with, etc.

But like 98% of the time, people just wanna make Billy significant to Superman or Batman (because putting him with more black hair, blue eye kids that get treated interchangeably is smart) and Mary to the “Wonder Family” like they don’t got a family of their own.

You know, it confused me at first why Black Adam would even bother seeing Mamaragan as a father figure in any capacity if he was grown as hell by the time he met him.

But then it occurred to me Teth was likely MUCH younger than I thought. He could of been a teenager/young adult (18-19) when he became a Champion alongside his nephew shortly before killing him. And in the time he served Mamaragan, he saw him like a father figure he later wanted to kill.

I can only imagine young ass Teth with the personality comparable to Billy pointing 👆🏽at this guy while talking to people and saying “This is my dad”.

So... Black Adam in space...

So, the Wizard, realizing that Adam had been corrupted by power, couldn’t remove his powers and therefor banished him to the farthest star in the universe.

Adam spent 5000 years flying back to Earth to get revenge. ...

Anyone else finds it funny to think of Adam flying through space for thousands of years while being royally pissed  and looking for his planet? XD

Imagine you are an alien in your spaceship, just minding your own business as you fly through space.

And then a very angry dude flies up to you and demand that you tell him where to find Egypt. And you are scared shitless and have no idea what the fuck an “Egypt” is XD

How did Denki's first interaction with the Wizard go?

Denki: *going to sleep only to open his eyes and find himself in a cave*

Denki(confused): What the hell?!

???: Denki, Son of Inko!

Denki(turns in the direction of the voice): Huh?

An ederly man holding a glowing staff sitting on a throne: You have been chosen, to be Champion of the gods!

Denki(freaked out): Who the hell are you?!

Wizard: I am the Wizard, Shazam.

Denki(snickering): Seriously?

Wizard(annoyed): SILENCE!!!

Denki(frightened): OK!!!

Denki(curious): What do you mean I was chosen? And why did you call me the “Son of Inko”?

Wizard(sagely): You are noble of heart. Though the world has been unkind to you, you still put on a face of happiness to reassure others before yourself. This is a trait you unknowingly inherited from your parents.

Denki(shocked): Wait, you know who my parents are?!

Wizard(with a kind smile): Yes, know that despite your abnormal birth, once you reveal your relation to them, you and your sister will be embraced by your parents and brother.

Denki(stunned): I have siblings…

Denki(confused): Wait, what do you mean “abnormal birth”?

Wizard: Through my powers of magic, I have seen that you and your sister were made through science with your brother’s blood.

Wizard: Those who created you wished to use you and your sister as weapons with your parents’ might.

Wizard(reassuringly): But a kind soul filled with regret, whisked you both away to safety.

Denki(realizing): I was made in a lab! I’m a clone!

Wizard: Despite this, you still have your mother’s blood in your veins, the blood of Zeus!

Denki(struck with realization): I’m a Demigod!

Wizard(nodding): Yes, I have seen that you brother will face many obstacles in his future.

Wizard(getting serious): He will guide the world into a new age and to help him, I grant you my power to stand alongside him…

Wizard(surging with magical power): The wisdom of Solomon, the strength of Hercules, the stamina of Atlas, the power of Zeus, the courage of Achilles, and the speed of Mercury.

Wizard: This is the power of SHAZAM, do you accept?

Denki(seriously): Like you said, the world hasn’t always been kind to me, I’ve spent my life guarding others from injustice before myself.

Denki(looking him in the eyes): If I can help change it for the better and find out who my family is, then I’ll do it!

Wizard: THEN SAY MY NAME SO THAT MY POWERS MAY FLOW THROUGH YOU!!!

Denki(to himself): Just have to look for an Inko to find my family, shouldn’t be too hard.

Denki(shouting with determination): SHAZAM!!!

Denki:*struck by a bolt of lightning and wakes up in his bed feeling odd*

Denki: Was that all a dream?

Denki(walking to his bathroom): It was too good to be tru-

Denki(sees himself in the mirror): WHAT THE HELL?!?!

Shazam(sees that he is now wearing a red and gold armor with a lightning bolt on his chest and a white cape and hood, but what catches his attention the most is his face): I look like Midoriya!

His hair has turned black and curly and despite his golden yellow eyes of a different shape, he looks like his classmate.

Shazam(realizing): The wizard said I had a brother, but is it really Midoriya? And how am I supposed to change back?

Shazam(testing something): SHAZAM?!

Denki(after being struck and turning back): I DO have magical powers, I’ll have to test them out later. For now I should get some sleep and ask Midoriya about his family.

Izuku(introducing his mother to the class): Everyone, I’d like you to meet my mom, Wonder Woman!

Inko(politely): Please, just call me Inko.

Denki(thinking): IT WAS THAT EASY TO CONFIRM!!!

Denki(still thinking): But who’s our sister?

Mina(walks up to Inko, smiling): Its so nice to meet the Wonder-Mom herself!

Denki(seeing how much Mina looks like a pink, female Izuku): ITS MINA!!!

Happy 59 Birthday to Djimon Hounsou.

It’s cool seeing various parts of fandom want Billy’s “Champion of Magic” direction to be explored but that would require people to think of Billy beyond being a “whimsical 10 year old whose a good boi”.

It would also mean stop ignoring & projecting negative inferences on his PoC mentor, put some focus on his supporting cast, and consider the canonical responsibilities in how it doesn’t intrude on other people’s stations because he isn’t the purveyor over ALL Magic but those connected to the Rock of Eternity ( That gives him 6 unique dimensions while respecting the current Doctor Fate’s Egyptian/Muslim derived ties, Vixen’s African ties, Aquaman’s ties to various other mythologies, etc.).

What if Marvel got Amnesia

So basically, Billy as Marvel gets hit with a memory wipe spell. Only, the spell is so strong he gets amnesia so far back he now thinks he’s a former champion that came even before Adam.

In case you can’t tell, this is really bad, because in their eyes, they just suddenly woke up in what was practically another world. (They’d be from like 5000 BC) So, naturally, they brush off the rubble and look around what looked to be the aftermath of a fight. They fly out of the building, and holy moly, where in the God’s were they? They’re looking around the architecture of Fawcett in both awe and confusion. They’re also confused as to why all the citizens are looking at them strangely and whispering. (He isn’t smiling. Captain Marvel isn’t smiling. He’s always smiling, why isn’t he now?) Cue them whooping absolute ass, like wasting no time and turning themself into an human electricity bomb and blowing up whatever warehouse they and Sivana were in. This continues until the Marvel misses a JL meeting cause, you know, they doesn’t remember. Which, is rare for Marvel, but not uncommon. So Former Champion Marvel keeps handling business. Meanwhile, the JL is getting increasingly worried, Marvel hasn’t show up for his monitor shifts and They actually act a lot like Billy, they do the helping old ladies cross the road, helping cats out of trees, and helping lost kids find their parents. So, the Fawcett citizens know something is wrong, but something isn’t completely wrong. Their hero’s probably just having a bad day… or couple weeks… or couple months. During all this time, the champion went back to the Rock of Eternity and talked to wizard after figuring out the whole thing with the brazier, and the wizard is like, “okay, this isn’t that bad�� and if anything, it isn’t, he supposes. He gets to spend time with one of his dead kinda-kids. But he also has to figure out a spell to reverse this. Now, the whole thing comes to a head when the JL has had enough and sends Flash and GL, buddies of Marvel to ask him what’s wrong, because if the champion was mad, he certainly wouldn’t drag it out this long. This ends with Former Champion Marvel trying to fight the both of them (successfully winning, and dropping a lore bomb on Flash that he’s (Former Champ) met a speedster and dropping some cold ass line like “all over you are the same” or something like that) because he thinks their villains. Soon after the fight, the wizard figures out the spell, gets Former to cast it and boom, Billy’s back and has to explain why he beat the crap out of Flash and GL, and by extension, had to explain why he didn’t go to the Watchtower for a bit and stuff. (Also he had to explain to Freddy and Mary as to why he was transformed for like a good two months)
