since damian doesn’t really have his own green lantern, i decided to create one: tala >:3 more information can be found here about her but a very basic summary can be found here.

tldr version: tala is a 13-15 filo-american that uses her green lantern abilities to be a magical girl bc she’s a HUGE anime fan. with damian also being an anime fan… u can imagine the chaos that ensues

hal jordan is her mentor, so you can imagine the amount of annoyance damian holds for her. much like her mentor, she’s impulsive and acts before she thinks. but she has a big heart and always aim to do the Right Thing. much like batman, damian often insults her but unlike her mentor… she never really catches it. if she does, she’s left unbothered

damian follows her tumblr + ao3 acc. he did it to figure out her secret identity but she all she does is post about anime & write precure fanfiction. he does NOT find anything useful except what she believes is the Correct Ships for sailor moon

they discuss anime together. while tala leans more to the magical show genre, she enjoys shoujo. and with a lot magical anime girls being apart of the shoujo genre they are able to bond >:3 she makes damian watch anime and unlike hal, he’s able to follow up with what’s going on. she gets so excited about that and declares him as her “best friend” (he refuses the title but can’t help but feel warm and fuzzy inside)

being the youngest in the family… they complain about older siblings. while tala only has one, that one is equal to damian’s 5… her sister makes fun of her interest in anime (despite watching it with her in the past. so, if anything, her sister is a hypocrite)

damian actually enjoys some of the fanfiction she wrote. he actually makes fanart for her works. and when they get older & tala needs a job… she becomes an author and damian (who wants an outlet for his superhero work bc that shit is stressful!) is an illustrator for her works

i imagine they’d meet thru being apart of a team together, all with heroes their own age and NOT friends with damian’s other family members bc i’m tired of him being friends with characters that were initially the other batfamily’s teams (kory for jason, raven for damian, etc)

it’s great for both of them because neither have worked with a team before outside of their own mentors (hal jordan or bruce wayne/dick grayson) with other members they’re challenged to work with new ppl (which u often deal with in life threatening emergencies) + learn from each other

Also Williamson is leaving Green Arrow and a new creative team will take the reighs in november.

we need more runs with damian and his friends. and don’t say teen titans- not team, his actual friends. all the other batbros have gotten HUNDREDS of comics featured around them and their friends- why can’t we let damian have his friends back and let them interact? just have fun adventures and live like in the other batbros’ stories?? i just think it would be such a fun concept and that the writers r missing out by giving damian angst and forcing him into relationships and forcing him to make friends all over again. i would just like a run were damian has fun with his pre-established friends. is that so much to ask for?

Summary:

Talia is on the mission to save her family. If it extended to the Wayne family, then that would not be her problem. After all, when did in all known and unknown multiverses, in those in the living and the dead, did she ever asked permission to save her loved ones before? But first, she needed to correct her Beloathed’s misconceptions. Lots of them. And maybe, while she's at it, she might be able to reclaim her lost family, and pick up others, along the way. Nevertheless, her country is big enough to house all of them, and then some. OR. Pre-Morrison Talia got isekaid (vaguely) back to her old body after the events of RSOB, and she had to survive being the villainess of her own story, while saving her ex and son, and picking up discarded assassin kids. Thankfully, she is loaded and just insane enough to make things work.

it doesn't even have to be in Schrodinger's verse have damian accidentally just meeting all his team members and accidentally befriending/training them to some extent then when damian realizes he just rolls with it "if i cant get rid of them ill make them the best in the multiverse (because obvi his team deals with multiverse level threats) " then there is an all hands on deck call and demian deems it enough of a threat that he calls in his team and the jl ends up just watching as the team decimates the threat with absolute skill and professionalism until they dissolve into absolute anarchy/chaos as soon as the threat is neutralized and they know no one got hurt bonus points if someone got hurt and the team treats it so professionally the jl is stunned right before they descend into anarchy bonus bonus points if dan is mentioned as some kind of mentor/trainer during anarchy especially if someone recognizes dan or some terrifying epithet of dan's

Damian doesn’t have a middle name so to full name him it’s Damian al Ghul Wayne. Unfortunately they can’t say it in public just in case someone overheard (not that most people know of Ra’s, but just to be on the safe side). Also unfortunately they tend to start to call him al Ghul and have to quickly turn it around to make the worse middle names of all time. Everything from Alastor to Albert to Alligator. Once Barbara called him Damian Albatross Wayne and Jason got offended at the implication anyone else is allowed to hunt the narrative besides him.

This is so niche but aside from the kind of popular hc that Damian hates Tim bc he doesn't know how to show affection/awe/respect without murder being involved, which I do love, my secondary hc is just a rewrite of his titans team.

I looked at the canon one. And then I said 'mm screw you, no thanks'.

So in my head, Damian's Titans team has Superboy (Jon), Abuse (Colin), Princess Marvel (Darla), Jae and Irey West, Soulfire (Mari'ander), Lian Harper, and when I can swing it for an au Athantasia, as well. Spiritually Nobody/Maya Ducard is also there but in practice I don't feel comfortable writing her. :( I don't know enough about Maps to use her anywhere but if I did I'd shove her in somehow. Maybe as their Oracle Equivalent.

No one else uses this line up but in my heart they're there. I love them all to death. It's the team he deserves.

why is it that when artists change something about damian to make him more individually recognisable its always an irrelevant detail.

you can give him a middle part but you cant give him brown skin? idk! maybe its just me but with every feeble attempt to modern white boy-ify we stray further and further from damian being damian, characters change and evolve all the time both appearance and story wise but with damian it seems artists/writers just want to culture purge him and call it character development

btw thats not to say I hate the hair exactly I love a middle part dami as much as the next guy but you can definitely tell what theyre trying to do by white washing, sticking him in the new suit AND giving him robin default hairstyle number two
