I am not saying that zuko is sokkas substitute for kya. or they look in any way similar! The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!

I've never doubted shifting because my dad was a shifter for years.

He told me stories from his one reality all the time, about how he was a warrior that could transform into a giant black cat, called iekkrans.

About all the other clans of wolves and bears and lions, how he made me a princess that knew how to fight any man that tried anything with me. How the warriors fight with music and create it with the clash of their weapons.

He told me about a crazed princess from another kingdom that was so unstable you could probably find her running down a road naked and not be surprised.

He told me how when you married someone in this reality you formed a spiritual bond so strong that if you broke it, it could kill you, and that HE had his bond broken and barely survived it.

He told me about how in courting culture, the only way to win a mate was to prove to the father you loved them. And the magic knew if you were lying. He told me then about 2 brothers that fought for my heart, and how the older one won.

He told me about eternal cities that were created from exoloding worlds, how those cities were permanent and euphoric, and how if you dare entered one you'd never be able to leave again.

He's told me so many stories about the warriors of the universe and how they become stone cold and trained to kill EVERYTHING they're commanded to kill.

My dad is a fucking bad ass, and I'll never doubt reality shifting because of him.

I headcanon Sunstorm suffers from chronic pain due to his radioactive spark. The CR Chamber Shockwave keeps him in siphons his radiation so Shockwave can use him as a big battery to power his lab, with the added benefit that it alleviates the pain.

wangxians reunion is just ridiculous. best reunion ever in the entire world i think. imagine the guy you were absolutely inconceivably in love with dies tragically and youve given up hope of him ever coming back (youve been searching for him in your own way, and his brother has been doing everything except for dying himself to call his spirit back) and then one day one random day you run into some weird guy with a donkey who hides from you and you and think nothing of it but then literally one hour later you hear him playing the song, the song you wrote for him out of painful teenage love, the song you sang to him once while he was half-unconcious in a cave and you thought he didnt remember, the song that you have played but never where anyone (except for lan sizhui) could hear, and you know its him, hes back!

and he doesnt remember the significance of the song.

GS Umbra posting

DE hasn't given us much to go off of on how Umbra's been doing post the Sacrifice, so until they tell me otherwise, I get to make the decisions. Some thoughts below :>

Now that his mind is back, I like to think that the well venerated dax and the loving father are bleeding back through the some-odd thousands of years of madness. Idr if how long the new war era took was mentioned, but between then and 1999, no doubt he's had much time to process and heal, with or without the operator's presence.

The way I write him, he was the operator's go-to for missions, whenever he was up for it, and undoubtedly he would have been there when Ballas again took from him a child he loved, while orokin transference left him helpless to do anything about it. It must have set him back horribly, but at least he was able to process it this time.

In future Guardian Spiral chapters, I do hope to be able to get into the sort of mixed feelings he'd have about the parts of him that were willing to get attached to the drifter in the same ways, just because the drifter desperately needed it. Oh, the harrowing ordeal of loving, but having lost so much because of having loved. Hundreds, maybe thousands of years of grief will leave a mark, even if the one who's fault it was is long dead. The mind may know, but the heart doesn't forget the pain.
