hey! I just wanted to let you know that I indeed ended up watching Reanimator! I had to go on a family vacation soon after and everyone had to put up with me rambling on about it for the whole trip! I loved how incredibly visceral the practical effects were! I went down a rabbit hole watching youtube videos about it and took great offense when Herbert kept being described as 'the villain'. He really was a weird little guy who just wanted to do his weird little experiments! I love him! (wouldn't trust him with my cat, tho) I think my favourite part is definitely him dual wielding the syringes yelling 'OVERDOSE!!!' Anyway I am super sorry to hear about your injury. I hope the worst of it is over?

HELL YEAH! I am happy to hear you liked the movie!! The practical effects are amazing and, just like you said, delightfully visceral!

Herbert did so much wrong yet he isn't really "the villain", I agree! He is one of those main characters that make you go "oh yea, he should be locked up somehow somewhere so people wouldn't die but then I couldn't enjoy his bad life choices!! Let him be!!" aka Just A Silly Little Guy! I mean them opening the door and Herbert just standing there with that weird grin? Our first reaction was "Dan if you don't close the door right now you are to blame when everything goes to shit." He is so obviously trouble and I love it!!

The OVERDOSE scene is absolute cinema! I didn't find the post with my quick search but someone said here on tumblr that he yell's it like it's his special attack (like kamehameha etc) and I couldn't agree more!

And yes, I will be getting back to drawing now!

Doctor said I have to use my wrist support more for few weeks and that's that. I am good to go with drawing etc so I will be trying to doodle this week~

Not drawing for "such a long time" means I will have to fight to get anything finished that I like but at least I can draw without a worry. I just hate the numbness in my fingers, it keeps stressing me out even tho I know it doesn't mean anything bad atm.

Have entertained myself by watching the 4400. I've been meaning to watch it for years (I vaguely remember it from the tv) and Jeffrey Combs being in it was a great reason to start it. It's been pretty good, actually. Superpowers in a modern setting? Thank you, more please

Plus is it in Jeffrey Combs' contract that he has to be a weird little guy but also weirdly lovable little guy? Kevin is spitting sun flowers seeds everywhere and barely wants human contact but he is a nice fella. Good for Tess for bagging the genius yet insecure older man. She should be envied.
