Just a psa for fic writers who use the “trauma bond” tag, please make sure you’re using it correctly. A trauma bond is not two people who experience similar trauma and bond over it. It’s a carefully curated, manipulative bond between abuser and victim to keep the victim coming back because of the addictive highs and lows that come with abuse.

If you want to tag two characters bonding over shared trauma, a good substitute tag would be “bonding over shared trauma.” Trauma bonding is, by definition, an abusive relationship and may steer people who have experienced it away from your fic. Please spread the word and happy writing!

Lower Class Man's Hatefest Is Sympathized With, While Stolas' Hatefest Is Treated As Tragic

Seriously, it's really funny how the Blitzo hate party and Stolas being shat on are treated so differently. We think Blitzo deserves it for breaking people's hearts, while with Stolas we have to baby him that everyone hates him (because the narrative treats him as a good noble). And ironic enough, when Blitzo had a hate fest Stolas joins in it, while when Stolas has one Blitzo instantly becomes his guard. It really shows how one sided this relationship is. Blitzo is expected to always be his white knight while Stolas can join in on shitting on him even though one could point to him being the one who started all the drama. Again not beating the creator's pet accusations. And infuriating because one could say that Stolas deserves the hate due to how he actually is just a regular classist pos who doesn't care about other imps but just Blitzo. However,we are expected to believe everyone has legit gripes against Blitzo like Verosika. It's bs. It's again showing that Blitzo even if he can be coddled for some of his mistakes still is always treated more severely than Stolas does when it comes to consequences.

One thing I noticed in this shitshow of an episode is how fucking ungrateful Stolas was for everything Blitzø did for him since he came to his place.

Okay so anyway, I think Stolas said "Oh, when have you ever asked" bc Blitzø stole from him and his family 25 years ago. correct me if I'm wrong here but isn't it manipulative af to bring up smth that happened that long ago, also it's totally unrelated to the current situation. So... if Stolas still holds this against Blitzø, let me ask: why was he ever "in love" with him in the first place? Answer? He wasn't. Stolas only used this imp for his sexual fantasies and for him to get to experience his "fairytale romance"

P.S. Imps are a race his privileged ass has always been racist towards and he hasn't ever attempted to, uh... try to understand them better? Understand how they live? What I find gross about that sinner character is her two daughters don’t even seem to be mourning their dead mother. They’re just acting like she never existed.

Just like Blitzs daydream. He pretends Octavia’s mother never existed, she’s just this nameless faceless surrogate egg donor who’s gotten out of the way now. Has been replaced with a man which is an improvement. So Viv has to make the woman purely evil and unfeeling to force it to work. Then blitz throws the obnoxious straw man of a woman character out of a glass window for not liking the gay erotica stolas wrote and earlier stolas tells her to shut her mouth. Her young daughters don’t even care that she’s dead.

That’s messed up.

Vivienne’s hatred of women and obsession with gay men’s love as something “more pure” is so creepy and so poisonous.

Octavia and Verosika did NOTHING wrong. Octavia has the right to not like her dad who ignored and neglected her in order for his one-sided affair. Verosika has the right to hate Blitzo (to quote my queen Veroska) maxed out her credit card on shitty horse riding lessons and left her to pay for the hotel. Octavia got called a COCK BLOCKING SLUT by one of the CREATORS OF HELLUVA BOSS! And Verosika constantly gets called a bitch, slut, or whore. I love Octavia and Verosika, they have done no wrong and I am taking them from Vivziepop.

Also Verosika looks so good in the outfits the Helluva Boss team puts her in and I’m supposed to hate her? No fuck that I love her so much and she has probably one of the best or the best design out of all the Helluva Boss characters.

Octavia also deserves a better dad. She’s also got an actually pretty cool design, she’s just a little silly who has also has a great voice actor!

Also baby Octavia! She’s so cute :). I love her so much and she deserves so much more than Stolas. AND THEN SHE GETS CALLED A COCK BLOCKING SLUT. SHE’S FUCKING 17. Overall I love them, Octavia is just a little silly and Verosika is my queen.

"Well, the antis/critics wouldn't defend Stella if her and Stolass' genders were swaped!" - I heard this from the stans fairly often. Today I'm not going to disprove this claim though. However it inspired me for my current post.

What if the story wasn't revolved around two queer men? What if Blitzø was a woman and Stolass was a straight man instead? Would've the fans still loved this ship? NO. That's how the critics would respond. And I completely agree with them. Yet I decided to go further and visualize this crap... Why?!

In fact, it was just an experiment that turned out to something EXTREMELY revolting as a result. I mean Stol!tzø IS revolting the way it already is that's for sure. But this is becoming painfully obvious when they're depicted as hetero ☠️

So here are some screenshot edits with genderswaped Blitzø. At first I couldn't decide if I should hide this under the cut or not. Finally I've leaned towards the first option so...

I will admit to give credit where credit is due, Viv somehow made me not like her show with one season.

That episode was literally trying to justify cheating. Aparently "its ok to cheat if your cheating on your wife with a man!"

Like do I have to remind IN THE FIRST EPISODE OF THE SERIES BLITZØ WAD FINE KILLING A FAMILY WHERE THE MAN CHEATED WITH A WOMAN?

So Stolas literally abandoned Octavia to defend and die for a murderer

So this argument falls apart when they say this

And this is not an attack on Blitz's character, I'm just saying what he literally is.
