Too considerate fiancé ally
Siege and Storm- Chapter 21
Malyen skips his watch, gets smashed instead, and Alina almost dies. Nikolai finds out, when Alina sends for him to discuss her "lead" on the Firebird.
Why is Nikolai ~nice~ to him? Considerate?
Malyen's acting like an asshole towards Nikolai, Nikolai suffers him for Alina's sake, okay, but why is everyone kind to him?! It's not even passive-aggressive! He's not some baby to be coddled!
With all due respect... which is none, since this is a prince of Royal blood talking to a nobody drunkard, who just failed his one and only official task, effectively endangering the future of the whole country.
Nikolai is incredibly tactful, so he receives snide barb in return.
During this whole scene, Nikolai's acting like a perfect gentleman, letting Malyen's misbehaviour slide for Alina's sake. In return, she think him all too happy to exploit her weakness.
Y'no what? I want Alina to SEE the difference!
That perhaps she doesn't need to be treated like shit. She doesn't need to feel alone, while waiting for scraps of negative attention. It's about time she started to value HERSELF a little. If you need a love triangle quadrangle (and don't have the balls for twisted adoring ETL), at least let the girl pick someone who's kind to her.

I got $1,000 on Cephandrius/Hoid inventing the job of the King’s Wit waaaaayyyyy back in Rosharan history just so he could assume the role again & again every time he comes back.
I could cite some evidence and postulate more closely on theory in order to convince you… but come on… we all know I don’t need to.
This is the most absolutely in-character thing he could do.
Like who else would come up with a position at court, similar to the court jester but without the goofy clothing & other humiliation, where all you do is insult people without consequences?!?!?

Don't get me wrong I love the newer syndicates, but I think it would be cool to have a society-sized one again like the Solaris or Ostron that isn't just a few dudes stuck in the most extreme scenarios imagineable. Like hell yes that stuff is awesome but I also want to see more examples of "normal" life for the different peoples of the system, or at least whatever more we can glean while they're under siege from whatever force we would assumably be there to save them from.
I guess it's a bit if a challenge when Tenno specialize pretty much exclusively in dealing with weird shit, I doubt DE would develop a whole area and society just for us to show up and have a chat with no extreme conflict going on (as nice as that would be lol)
#duviri kinda counts towards a society sized amaount of people but it's not a syndicate#and duviri is still uneblievably far from the lived experiences of modt people in the origin systwm i would imagine lol#i guess we'll never get that true feel for ordinary life no matter where we go since it will always be under extreme and weird circumstances#the closest we can get to interacting with more “ordinary” peoples is when those people are under siege from something only tenno can fight#warframe#warframe lore#txt

From River To The Sea Palestine Will Be Free 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
-----
Edit 1: took the first video down because turns out the animator is a terf and it links to her blog. Really sorry for any distress.
Edit 2: All recommended readings + Haymarket recommendations + essential decolonization texts have been uploaded to my linked gdrive. I will adding more periodically. Please do buy or check them out from the library if possible, but this post was made for and by poor and gatekept Global South bitches like me.
Some have complained about the memes being disrespectful. You're actually legally obligated to make fun of Israeli propaganda and Zionists. I don't make the rules.
Edit 3: "The river to the sea" does not mean the expulsion of Jews from Palestine. Believing that is genocide apologia.
Edit 4: Gazans have specifically asked us to put every effort into pushing for a ceasefire instead of donations. "Raising humanitarian aid" is a grift Western governments are pushing right now to deflect from the fact that they're sending billions to Israel to keep carpet bombing Gazans. As long as the blockades are still in place there will never be enough aid for two million people. (UPDATE: PLEASE DONATE to the Gazan's GoFundMe fundraisers to help them buy food and get out of Rafah into Egypt. E-SIMs, food and medical supplies are also essential. Please donate to the orgs linked in the How You Can Help. Go on the strikes. DO NOT STOP PROTESTING.)
Edit 5: Google drive link for academic books folder has been fixed. Also have added a ton of resources to all the other folders so please check them out.
Edit 6: Added interactive maps, Jadaliya channel, and masterlists of donation links and protest support and of factsheets.
The twitter accounts I reposted as it was given to me and I just now realized it had too many Israeli voices and almost none of the Palestinians I'm following, so it's being edited. (Update: done!) also removed sources like Jewish Voices of Peace and Breaking the Silence that do good work but have come under fair criticism from Palestinians.
Edit 7: Complete reformatting
Edit 8: Complete revamping of the social media section. It now reflects my own following list.
Edit 9: removed some more problematic people from the allies list. Remember that the 2SS is a grift that's used to normalize violence and occupation, kids. Supporting the one-state solution is lowest possible bar for allyship. It's "Free Palestine" not "Free half of Palestine and hope Israel doesn't go right back to killing them".
Edit 10: added The Palestine Directory + Al Jazeera documentary + Addameer. This "100 links per post" thing sucks.
Edit 11: more documentaries and films
Edit 12: reformatted reading list
Edit 13: had to remove @palipunk's masterlist to add another podcast. It's their pinned post and has more resources Palestinian culture and crafts if you want to check it out
Edit 14 6th May '24: I've stopped updating this masterlist so some things, like journalists still left in Gaza and how to support the student protests are missing. I've had to take a step back and am no longer able to track these things down on my own, and I've hit the '100 links per post' limit, but if you can leave suggestions for updates along with links in either the replies or my asks I will try and add them.
Edit 15 10th August: added to Palestinian allies list and reworked the Help for Palestine section. There's been a racist harrassment campaign against the Palestinian Tumblrs that vetted the Gaza fundraisers based off one mistake made by a Gazan who doesn't understand English. If you're an ally, shut that shit down. Even if you donate to a scam GFM, you're only out some coffee money; if everyone stops donating to all the GFMs in fear of scams, those families die.

At this point raise the age of majority to 20. I'm serious. If a 18yo/19yo is basically a child in society's eyes, and does not have the full ability to consent / be responsible for their actions, then we need to hop the full way legally.
Yes, I'm well aware this will cause some havoc with certain families and certain events, but it seems society is evolving and netizens are increasingly treating 18/19yos as nearly full on minors, then let them be minors. Maybe you're right too, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.
I'm in my late 20's would never touch a person below 20 either. While I don't think it's inherently wrong for 25-27s to go for 18/19s seems like the consensus is this is that its weird. And yk... Weird means bad in this context. Wrong. Unacceptable. Even if not yet-- it's only a matter of time before real life people get full on, irredeemably, blasted.
I have irls. Friends. Who judge me a little for shipping a 19 and 26 year old. Shipping. Even if it's wholesome. But they do not hate me. Which baffles me because not too many years ago no one would really bat an eye on this. Some people shrug why I care this much about fiction. Judge me even. Say " just log off" But the damage is done. even if i " log off", leave that fandom or leave fandom forever, whenever i see a puritan i go alert, even if we don't morally clash, i avoid friendships with minors and avoid creating bonds with them, out of fear of accidentally grooming them. And at this point i'm almost ready to do the same to 18 and 19 yos.
Some people go as far as labeling this pedophilia, it isn't that but it is controversial -- does not meet the half your age + 7 rule which is no longer a guideline but a rigid rule, and maybe even too lenient.
It doesn't matter what "proship" used to mean, the meaning changed to "problematic ship" and it's increasingly more subjective and people's takes on it affect reality. it came to the point many people even those who believe in ship freedom or ship proships, adapted some gargantuan rules out of a ocd fear to hurt minors. Me too, honestly.
Even I'm afraid to write this. Because someone will come out of the shadows and call me a pedophile just for speaking my mind, even if i do not do this action. And it'll snowball till I get cancelled. Digital footprints are ruthless, too. ' Freedom of speech' bullshit...
Go on then... instead of yapping at me, go the full way. Then 19 x 26 WILL be "proship" . But at least -- actual minors, as well as 18/19yos who will now be minors too, will be protected with it. Right?
#“ just log off” my ass#cyberbullies affect reality#cyberbully siege and causes affect reality#society has changed#I thought that 18 and 19 should have responsibility for their actions#but if society coddles them too much#then fucks them up if they fuck up due to being coddled too much?#go one way or the other#either treat 18 and 19yos as adults or as minors but fully

solution nine discourse on the for you page. here's my input: 👎
#yeas yes yes its a dystopia the citizens arent equipped to deal with grief yes yes#however#they did not handle it at all lol#hopefully in the patches they might. try?#that would be nice.#but like it's really hard to feel for the people considering the conditions of their continued survival etc etc. how is it much different f#rom living memory...?#like idk. sucks to be you i guess? damnn. maybe your society is screwing you over. but uh. theres nothing to work with here#the most compelling thing of the entjre area was the lightnjng sickness concept#that was then dropped like a hot potato#frustrating#i just personally cant be made to care for a place so cushioned and sanitized so as to be unaware of reality like that#theres nothing THERE#to feel for...#it needed to be thr central focus of the msq there imo. there needed to be something to force the citizens into a reallt really tough spot#not just. end of entire story. oh noo! our qphene!#and then cut to black#tuliyollal getting the siege scene was fun but i feel like it wouldve gone much farther to see s9 in peril#to further the themes of idk#people are people everywhere! even these people who do not know loss can band together and#spread the liiight of hopeee amongst each other in order to persevere#idk idk idk idk idk IDK#and i GET that the seat of imperial power never suffers the same way their targets do. thats an interesting angle#but i donf know how much i trust them to deliver on this so im just left wondering why they didnt take the easy out to reinforce the themes#edit i literally did forget that there were eeevil soldiers raiding s9 LMFAOOOO Buf also. ghe fact that i forgot. is maybe poignant

According to the granblues rule Galleon could be a candidate too, and since Fediel got a summer unit....🥺 I wonder if people in the next granblues also count as new candidates
i did think of that possibility too, and while i'm not opposed to dragons alts in principle i kinda hope not :sob: like it still feels wrong to me that the skin rotation didn't even finish and we're getting alts instead
but yeah Grand Blues are usually a good indicator of possible new units, they tend to tease them ahead, so Galleon might be one of them. And now that i'm looking through the new Grand Blues it explains why the previous anon theorized Ippatsu and Silva, going with this logic they are strong contender. And Galleon is as well, as said.
Beatrix also makes a surprise appearance in the last one, so maybe she can come and join Zeta/Vaseraga/Eustace there (and it's been a while since she had a new unit compared to the rest of the gang)
EDIT: I TOTALLY forgot Bea had a Halloween SR though so maybe not???
So yeah keeping an eye out to the Grand Blues for clues, so far strong possibilities in Ippatsu, Silva, Galleon, and Beatrix imo. Let's see how granblue surprises us.
#tho i guess after the fiasco that was me hyping up grand sieg i think i'm not well placed for theorizing units#granblue decided to spite me#but yeah just seeing Bea in the comics kinda make me think an alt for her is long overdue all things considered#Cassius and Eustace got alts last year and Ilsa and Vaseraga got alts this year#Zeta hasn't got anything in a while but she has a halloween alt so might wait until christmas to theorize for her#so Bea is a possible candidate#wait i forgot she had a SR Halloween hold on -- maybe not then???#isaac and Gwynne are still possible picks though if we think about society alts#ichareply#ichafantalks gbf#anonymous

The UK government has revoked the student visa of a Palestinian student who lost relatives in Gaza after she spoke at a demonstration at the University of Manchester. Dana Abuqamar, a law student who heads the Friends of Palestine Society at the University of Manchester, said the UK government revoked her visa on “national security” grounds, after claiming she was a risk to public safety. “The claim they are making is baseless and violates my rights as a resident here in the UK. My legal team has lodged a human rights appeal against this decision to revoke my student visa in my last and final year as a law student,” Abuqamar said, speaking to Al Jazeera English, confirming that her visa had been revoked. Last year, Abuqamar revealed that she had lost at least 15 relatives in Gaza after the Israeli army bombed a three-storey building in the besieged enclave. “During this genocide, the UK Home Office decided to revoke my student visa following public statements supporting the Palestinian right to exercise under international law to resist oppression and break through the siege that was illegally placed on Gaza for over 16 years,” said Abuqamar. “Freedom of expression is a fundamental human right, but it seems to not apply to ethnic minorities, particularly Muslims and Palestinians like myself. We must reject the double standard in the application of human rights by public authorities and rise against this oppression.” A spokesperson for the UK Home Office said it did not respond to individual cases.

most western socialists have a very low level of socialist consciousness. they've learned that capitalism is exploitative and unstable, and how a socialist society could function better, but the idea of socialism they have in their mind is one of advanced socialism: there's no state, no poverty, and no money. it doesn't include the necessary adjustments to being under constant siege from the capitalist world. it doesn't include the problems that any society must face as it develops its economy in the middle of the global capitalist system. it doesn't take into account the history of the countries involved but demands instead that they meet the socialist's pure vision. they take their ideal and compare it to real world socialist projects, which are still early in their development, and reject the project for not matching up to their vision. the construction of socialism is messy and happens in real countries, with complex histories and complex current challenges. demanding purity means rejecting the only real world struggles for socialism that actually exist

well it's pretty darn hard to get laid when I'm actively avoiding putting myself in a situation where it's possible (:
"asexuality is just an excuse for people who can't get laid" guess who's under your bed.
#because i can't support a family while Denmark is under siege#sorry society but the ace agenda comes before “starting a family” or whatever
