It fucks with me that dog intelligence is tested with obedience tests, so there's a significant bias towards compliant dog breeds. Dogs that are intelligent enough to understand what is being asked of them, but are too headstrong and/or independent to go through with it, get lumped up with the dogs that might want to do what people ask them to do, but are too stupid to understand the assignment.

And it fucks with me that chihuahuas are actually quite intelligent. They're not stressed and angry because they're too stupid to understand what's going on. They understand exactly what's going on, and that's why they're so angry and stressed.

thoughts on cow cuddling? my family gifted me a session at a nearby farm and i am so excited. but also. is it like rly exploitative? i suppose it probably depends on the individual farm and their specific practices wrt animal comfort & consent etc... but do you have a take on this / things to ask or look out for? I don't want to support something that's harmful to the cows 🥺

not to worry!!! believe me u could not force a cow to do this if they didnt want to. they are.. so strong. and stubborn

lots of cows are super physically affectionate! the cows at cow cuddling places wouldnt lay down and cuddle with strangers if they didn't feel like it. you Cannot force a cow to cuddle with you.
