SELF RESPECT ASPECT ;

we cultivate self respect through making boundaries with ourselves and with other's and sticking to them. sticking to our word cultivates self respect and builds trust within urself to do what u said u were gonna do. some examples of boundaries with urself can include

♡ having a bed time ♡ having specific work hours and study hours ♡ boundaries that are formed on ur values/religion ♡ saying no when u dont want to do something

boundaries with urself and how u treat urself shows others how to treat u. it also lets others know that u dont play about urself and they can't push on ur boundaries. and if u communicate ur boundaries clearly with someone and they push on ur boundaries then they dont actually like u and its best if u cut them off.

SELF LOVE ASPECT ;

when u pour into urself and show urself the love that u deserve by taking care of urself in the best way that u can, ur cultivating ur self love. if u take care of urself and ur affairs, would the opinion of a nobody be relevant you? no ofc not. cuz u know that their opinion doesn't hold power over u. no one's opinion of u should dictate who you are, only your own.

Completely out of left field from what I usually post…

But can you imagine being a nanny for the Wayne Family. Bruce hiring you as a way to integrate Damien into being a normal child - but you just think it’s because he’s a busy single dad who wants someone to look after his kid - and spending your time in the manor trying not to die every-time you find out there’s more rooms. Even though you lied on your resume and had your friends pretend to be your references, you get the job and you want to do the best you can bacsuse it’s either this or working retail. Most of your time is helping Damien with homework, listening to him tell you the most effective ways to skin a human without killing them or running around after him as he seems to glide across the room with ninja like agility because he doesn’t want to do the mandatory 1 hour reading he had to do for English class.

You chalk him up to be a quirky kid with quirky interests. God knows you were into some weird things when you were young. (🫵🏼 looking at you yes, you)

You see his other kids come in and out, often coming over for Alfreds cooking. You keep a low profile, saying hello and having small talk occasionally- when you’re not running around after Damien - and they know your presence. You can sense the familt dynamic is a likes strained, but you’re hell bent on being a professional nanny so you keep your head low and enjoy that you get triple the minimum wage for Gotham.

But it seems like who ever enters the manor is cursed with the Wayne family secret. Maybe it was fate that your stomach started to act up just as you were getting ready to leave - and thank god you had found a secluded powder room in the end of the west wing that you claimed as your own - because you spent an ungodly amount of time there that night. You figured you’d apologize to Alfred or Mr.Wayne for staying to late if they caught you at the manor so late - blaming the Joker positioning the water supply for your stomach being upset, which was true to be fair - and you tried your hardest to move towards the front door without making a sound.

As you pass the double doors for the dining room, you begin to hear bickering coning from the other side. You loved job way too much to be fired for snooping on the Waynes, so you ignore it and keep walking until you see what’s happening inside from the small crack of the door being open. Your eyes landing on the sight of the Batman. His back Atleast.

You knew it was wrong - but god you needed answers. You wondered if the conspiracies were true, that Bruce Wayne secretly sponsored Batman and his gang. But as you peer inside, you realize that it wasn’t. You put two and two together when you saw the entirely of Gothams crime fighting heros standing in the living room, going over how they fumbled the two face lead. Nightwing, Red Hood, Robin… the puzzle pieces started to connect in your head.

You quietly exited the manor without saying a word. And what did you do after that? Nothing. You acted as if you saw nothing. You weighed your options. You could keep quiet and pretend like nothing happened, keep your job and enjoy the dental plan that came with it. Or you could blab about it on the news and be crucified by the Bruce Wayne Stans for suggesting such a thing.

The scariest thing in Gotham wasn’t the villains, it was the Bruce Wayne Stans. Every Gothamite knew that.

But it seemed like the more you wanted to ignore the problem the more you got caught up in the web. From walking into Jason cleaning his Red Hood mask in the dinning room, staring at him, turning around and walking out without saying a word to ignoring when Damien casually dropped the tidbit of information about how he was mad at his father because he was grounded from being in the batcave unsupervised.

It all came to a head on a random Wednesday evening when you weee getting water form the kitchen. “How long have you known?” You hear Alfred ask As he polishes the silverware. You tried to play dumb, asking if it was about Damien sneaking in ice cream after bed time - but he quickly cuts you off. “About a month now,” you confess. He nods, putting the polished fork back into the cabinet and picking up another one. “I cannot say that I am pleased to hear that-“ Alfred signs. “But I presume you’re more than capable of saying within the limits of your employment agreement-“ he asks as he looks up at you.

You did sign a NDA saying you wouldn’t leak information to the press.

“Not my circus, not my monkeys.” You reply as you turn around to the sink to rinse the glass you had used.

“I’m pleased to hear that.” Alfred smiles.

Uhhhh lower effort but it wasn't leaving me alone: My take on Giga Mac 😋

Basic info:

Mac doesn't remember or know how he obtained this form. At best he remembers the feeling of restrains on his wrists and ankles and the stabbing of needles, but nothing else.

It usually occurs when in a fight when he's badly injured and his brain enters "fight or flight" mode: it chooses fight. The biggest downside to this is that this is no longer a fight for the title, but for survival(ie to the death).

While there's the bonus of added strength and stamina, it comes at the expense of his mental: basically he becomes more of a wild animal. He can understand basic human speech but he can't talk, resorting to vocalizations(no sign language either so good luck with that)

Retractable claws: he has em. Id probably make him more fucked up tbh but I wanted to keep it low-key since he still gotta throw hands and claws don't rlly let you curl your hands into fists.

Transformation: painful, he can feel his bones snapping as everything shifts into place. It takes about a minute, maybe less. The longer he stays like that, the more beast like he gets, and the harder it is to get him back to normal.

The 1st Hour: absolutely vital, transformed and post transformation. Mac isn't meant to stay transformed for long, so try to get him back to normal within the first hour, or complications will arise (heightened aggression, more animal characteristics, loss of sanity, etc). The longest he's stayed transformed was 2 hours, and it's something no one wants to see again.

Post transformation: the most crucial. He's at his most sensitive and therefore most volatile. Small things can set him off, bringing you back to square one with Gigamac. Avoid anything that would annoy him normally, as even the sound of a radiator can get him back to the snarling beast.

He also retains some traits from transforming. He already has slightly longer canines than average, but freshly transformed all his teeth are sharp. He doesn't have traditional claws, but his nails are still sharp and pointed. The only thing that sticks is the hair, which he usually just cuts off and calls it a day.

Getting him back: there's two main ways to do it: exhaustion and pacifying. Exhaustion is the easiest method, as it usually just ends up with the bigger, tougher boxers to either just Duke it out literally or hold him down as he thrashes till he tires himself out. Pacifying usually just resorts to being like 🍔🥺 "quieres?". Much harder to do but it's what the boxers and Doc try to do first, cuz naturally no one is comfortable pinning down the 17 year old as he screams like a banshee.

Recovery: as stated, the transformation takes an absurd toll on Mac, knocking him out for the day. While he's never been out for longer than 3 days(which was already scary enough that Doc Louis right about had a heart attack), it's still something to worry about. When hes out, he's out and essentially nothing will wake him up.

And yeah I just think Giga Mac as a concept is pretty neat

A lot of you make statements pathologising or demonising lack of sex as physically, mentally or socially abnormal then slap 'asexuality is valid' & 'oh but I'm not talking about asexuals I'm talking about NORMAL people' at the end like it does something. It doesn't.

Any and every piece of rhetoric that treats human sexlessness as a lesser form of humanity throws ace people under the bus, even sex favourable aces. Whilst attraction =/= action a lot of aces lack of sex correlates with their identity and it puts the onus on sex favourable aces to be 'one of the good ones' and that's not real support. Plus, it implies non-asexual people are acceptable targets if they fail the sexual quota. They're not even if they're not asexual because bodily autonomy isn't an exclusive pass - it's for everyone.

So yeah, everytime you make them posts about the human brain being programmed for sex or how to be #really queer means to be a sexual being, or how being happy and healthy hinges on being horny or giggle about how everyone needs to have more sex to fix this societal problem and political problem or how real art needs to be horny or whatever then yeah, you might get a posse of those 'annoying' asexuals in your mentions. If anything, all this response shows is that you're not ready to accept your understanding of sexual attraction and what you've been taught it's supposed to be isn't the default, and when you come across sexuality different to it you feel then need to shut it down because it's a 'threat' to your idea of normal human sexuality. It isn't.

Stripped

This is a song about intimacy and sharing your true self. I find it SO fitting because of the following reasons:

The dark undertones. It sounds creepy as hell at times. "Stripped down to the bone" almost sounds gory.

The sexual undertones: it's called "Stripped" after all. ST5 will be much more mature.

Talk about escaping to another land: "come back to the land... where everything's ours... for a few hours".

Lyrics like "let me hear you make decisions without your television... let me hear you speaking just for me". This of course means being authentic and non-conformist. Again a huge overall theme of the show!

2. Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)

Dreaming is commonly referenced within ST. We know the show likely isn't just all a dream but... it's possible something similar is going on.

This song is about humanity as whole including the darker sides (like ab*se).

In my opinion, this song is about coping the best you can with the unpleasant sides of humanity "hold your head up, keep your head up".

3. Holding Out for a Hero

This one I think is fairly self-explanatory. With all the references to heroes! To me it ties in perfectly with both Mike being Will's hero, and also with my theory on Will having DID and many characters being his alters. For people with DID, alters are essentially their "heroes" protecting them from trauma and ab*se.

4. Enola Gay

Enola Gay is both a song about the first atomic bomb used in an act of war called "Little Boy" AND it's considered a GAY ANTHEM by many.

This song was what made me realize that the writers compared Will to "Little Boy". I talk about this more in this post.

Some VERY relevant lyrics to ST:

The mention of 8:15 and "that's the time that it's always been". Alluding to time being frozen.

Communication through the radio.

"Conditions normal and you're coming home" aka finally returning from the UD.

5. Always on my Mind

The lead singer of this band is openly gay. If you listen to the lyrics, they perfectly fit Mike's perspective and how Will has "always been on [his] mind" this whole time...

"If I made you feel second best, I'm so sorry I was blind. You were always on my mind. You were always on my mind."

6. Strangelove

So there's layers to this one.

First off the obvious: The title is about a "strange love" aka something that's not accepted by society and is considered a "sin".

Secondly, it's likely a nod to the movie Dr. Strangelove

Dr. Strangelove is about The Cold War, America vs. USSR/Russia (a common theme in the show).

"A film about what could happen if the wrong person pushed the wrong button -- and it played the situation for laughs. U.S. Air Force General Jack Ripper goes completely insane, and sends his bomber wing to destroy the U.S.S.R. He thinks that the communists are conspiring to pollute the "precious bodily fluids" of the American people."

Speaking of "precious bodily fluids"...

7. Tainted Love

Another gay lead singer! And again there's layers here:

Tainted love as in a sinful love/homosexuality

Tainted love as in an ab*sive relationship (I'm not talking about Byler)

Tainted love as in a partner transferring HIV/AIDs... they are "tainted". In fact, one cover of this song was created to raise funds for HIV/AIDs. x

(I also added Shake the Disease by Depeche Mode for similar reasons).

8. It's a Sin

Simple explanation: this song is about the religious guilt accompanied with being gay. The church set comes to mind...

9. Turn Back the Clock

I chose this one specifically for these lyrics:

I wish that I could turn back the clock Bring the wheels of time to a stop Back to the days when life was so much better

10. Policy of Truth

THIS ONE!

So I believe that when Will told Mike "it was a seven. The demogorgon got me." He was actually telling Mike a major secret in code. Him telling Mike the truth lead to everything happening within the show.

Will was terrified of the consequences of him telling Mike the truth and that led to him "vanishing". I'll probably elaborate more on that eventually...

11. Here Comes the Rain Again

(No more videos :( I've reached the Tumblr limit).

I chose this one again for a few reasons:

The rain mention. "Here comes the rain again... falling on my head like a memory". There's a frequent association with water and Will's trauma.

Alluding to the rain scene...

The song is specifically about depression

The mention of wanting to be lovers...

12. Electricity

This one is simple. It's about electricity. I theorize that sexual electricity will be a major aspect of ST5. I talk about that in this post.

13. Let My Love Open the Door

A perfect resolution to the associating Will and Mike's love with opening doors. Also with lyrics like this:

When people keep repeating That you'll never fall in love When everybody keeps retreating But you can't seem to get enough

It's hard to imagine this song won't be used. Again, I talk more about all of this in this post.

14. Forever Young

Self-explanatory I think. Will and Mike will find a way to be "forever young" aka remain themselves and keep their interests. This also would fit perfectly if they do symbolically "die" (I don't think they'll literally die to be clear).

Just a playlist of songs I think will make an appearance in ST5.

THIS was the first animatic i didn't know was coming cause Fleur didn't put it in the initial drafts they shared with me, and it blew me the hell AWAY. ABSOLUTELY DIZZYING EXPERIENCE. the CINEMATOGRAPHY of it, how well they worked with the song both lyrically and instrumentally, the PARALLELS. FROTHING at the mouth.

oghohohohohohohoh Fleur just FEELS Kenny so well and they do such an amazing range of raw vivid captivating EMOTION with his silly little bird face and it makes me so !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i could look at the little bit at the start of his verse forever..... also that entrance gjdhdjdjs..... Big Bird ass.......... AND THE REST OF IT!!!!! all the gestures and poses and expressions just SCREAM this specific wild energy and that makes me so PUMPED.

the whole thing is just such an INCREDIBLE way to wrap up a first chapter bc it's BREATHING build-up and promise and tragic thrilling EXCITEMENT!!!!!!! and they put SO many little narrative bits and hints in there visually and lyrically, so if you are the type to hunt for foreshadowing and make theories.... i'm just saying.... this is a goldmine 😏

"Who I'd Be"

oooooohhhhhhhhg Lochy my friend Lochy......... this one is just. so HEARTFELT. a BALLAD. says so much about this character that THIS is the first solo song we get from him gjdhdjdjs.... and the direction Fleur took with the animatic demonstrates such earnest understanding of what each one of the musical numbers needs to be and shows off their INCREDIBLE range!!!!!!!!! this truly feels like a PERFORMANCE and such a soulful one and i loooove the layers of emotion there...

him starting off sort of awkward or playing up the energy to step into a specific trope, the performance motif and how he makes it look charismatic and Fun to him, but the bow also indicates how it's something deliberately projected outwards with the purpose of getting a Good Grade In Being Social; but then also the like... true yearning heart of it all coming out with the transfurmation as the ultimate expression of authenticity he KNOWS will not garner him ANY social points at all!!!!! THE AUTISM of it. i am shaking him like a ragdoll in my fist

but but but even with the performance element there is still HEART there just on the downplay.... how he interacts with his environment, the rain and the moon and the sea, how nature echoes his heart back at him, the deep inarticulate vague elusive LONGING..... this is PEAK Romanticism and that means the world to me. he WANTS something and he doesn't even know what it IS but he knows it's about the world and connecting with it and finding himself, the truest part of him, and getting to express something there is no words for..... WHY is this so good!!!!!!!!!

also just REALLY love how his furform looks. eel boy. the big final line is illustrated so BEAUTIFULLY and dramatically.... AND!!!!!!! his and Babs' FRIENDSHIP in this!!!!!!!! she's so full of love for him and so ready to be supportive and is so open but also Confused and conflicted and worried, and cares so much about their adventures and so vulnerable to the idea of him not feeling the same... and he is so full of love for HER and sees Her love so plainly and doesn't leave her a CHANCE to think he doesn't want to be friends with her or continue journeying with her!!!!!!!!! HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. I LOVE THEM.

i love how this is the longest we see of Jin not in her lizard form cause her total meltdown has been going on uninterrupted since the murder oh no..... it's!!!!! so so FUN to see her animated because she is so small and so ANGY at times, and watching her hop around and swing her arms in the air is such a treat lmao..... i ADORE how Fleur worked with the song once again, they can just... truly make any part work of it for them, and work MAGNIFICENTLY, i cannot believe how good the second verse is and how they utilized the chorus and the instrumental build-up there!!!!! it's all SO beautifully impactfully cinematographically dramatic, i cannot believe these gals had a whole action movie past prior to the events of the comic fhdjks.

for a chapter that is so focused on Jin's character, too, there is just... so much heart she is given, we see her genuine quiet confused joy and her raw fear, dread and panic, we see her cute little huffy face and we see her putting on a perfect and elegant front to project a specific image of herself... she is such. a lady. and she is such a mess. and i love her so dearly.

Having thoughts about Davetrap... Honestly the fact that he's So sentient is so tragic to me. It's like he said he's still a person he just looks different. Even the fact that he still needs food and is eating rats (which he ripped foxy's leg to do so better, unforgivable) yet seems capable of leaving but thing is WHERE to, y'know... I think this is a reality for most non human characters in this game but him being in such a state of disrepair definitely doesn't help, i mean, he literally couldn't be sold off, something he was clearly upset about (I also like that he called the maze shit a gig like that's cute, that's just his job).

Like its just, Dave was never much of anything, at all, we don't even know if this guy has a fucking home, but he still had some things in his favor, he was still somewhat well put and social and shit, so for him to be left like this it's like... I said it like thrice but its tragic its just tragic, man OT2
