you don't have a personal responsibility to break stereotypes about your demographics. you don't have to be the perfect representation. you don't have to be a good representation. you are allowed to exist as you are, even if it somehow fits into stereotypes.
you're allowed to have your experiences, hobbies, expressions, traits, problems, symptoms, etc. even if they're stereotyped. you are not a living stereotype. you are a person. a person who happens to have some traits. you're not making the world less diverse. your existence already contributes to diversity.

PCOS is an intersex variation, full stop. The reason that's controversial is that just accepting it as one undermines the gender and sex binaries.
The idea that we're just rare mutants that need to be fixed, or can be ignored for the sake of the majority, would further begin to fall apart. Recognizing people with PCOS as intersex makes it harder for them to treat people with PCOS like broken women.
Doctors treat their intersex traits as a malady that needs to be fixed. Even in the case of a cis women with PCOS and gender dysphoria or health issues, the treatment is so often laced with intersexism and coercion. There is no real choice given, and no affirmation of one's body as worthy of respect regardless of what it looks like.
This isn't unusual in the treatment of intersex people - people do try to hide from us the fact we're intersex (entirely, or by saying we have a disorder instead). But by not even considering people with PCOS under the umbrella, they prevent them from finding community with people like them, and advocating for themselves.
This is all to say, people with PCOS are not less intersex than other intersex people. They are just as intersex, and face all the scrutiny that comes with it. But more than that, they are integral to intersex liberation - and queer liberation overall. Your story as an intersex person with PCOS matters. We need you, and we want you with us.
May you find peace, community, and healing. May you find comfort and home in your body. May you find health and wellness. You are loved, and you belong - just as you are, and have yet to become.
Sincerely, a trans intersex person who doesn't know if it's PCOS or something else.

Alright. I am fucking exhausted. I have been exhausted for years. But being pissed off and wanting to protect others has fueled me with more energy than I've had in the past decade.
I understand that this is a lot to take on, especially so suddenly. So, I'm asking for help.
If anybody, ANYBODY, is willing to spare a few minutes week to helping me-
I want to make a website for as many resources as possible. Think of it as a directory. There's quite a bit of planning to do, especially on the side of collaboration and digital safety, but anything you can offer- your time, your effort, will not be wasted. And no. I'm broke. I'm (mentally) disabled. I cannot pay anyone, even if ignoring my morals/ethics would let me.
I've been wanting to do something like this for awhile. I feel it in my soul, that now is the time to begin.
DM me.
Good luck, and may the force be with you.
Ain’t no way Trump just said the government would establish two genders: male and female, in his inauguration speech, and people are still trying to say that queer folks have no need to be scared 😭 fucking losing it

while its true that aromanticism is separate from asexuality, we should remember that we are each others closest allies. dont let anyone separate us, the way terfs did to trans people and cis homosexuals. we are different, but we have a common goal; freedom to live as we do

being cisgender is just not an option for a lot of intersex people.
i was never given the option to be cisgender anything. every part of me that deviated from what a girl or boy "should" look like spelled trouble. because i dressed and acted very masculine, before puberty, people called me a bulldyke, a butch lesbian, a "girl pretending to be a boy" and "not a real boy". i was never "feminine enough" to be a woman.
after puberty hit, i started growing a beard, and my shoulders and chest got broader and more square. my body became more "masculine", so suddenly, i was labeled as a "boy pretending to be a girl" and "not a real girl". after I started testosterone, i haven't stopped being called a faggot, a fairy, a sissy or a pansy because i'm not "masculine enough" to be a man despite being a bear.
there's no winning in the eyes of a society that's so focused on binary this-or-that choices. i had no hand in the matter, this all happened way before I started testosterone HRT. in fact, even when i was placed on estrogen HRT to try to "correct" my intersex traits and symptoms, i still wasn't gendered or seen as a cis woman. i was still the same tranny bulldyke. no matter what i do, my intersex and transsexual traits will always be weaponized against me; whatever sounds the "worst" at the time, or whatever invalidates what i want.
in order to liberate trans people from this struggle, we must also liberate intersex people, for our struggles are virtually one in the same. our fight for body and identity autonomy is shared. it will always be impossible for me and other intersex people to be viewed as cis anything while white American society remains focused on pointing out the "differences" between men and women, instead of embracing the similarities we all can and do have.
intersex and trans people owe it to one another to disassemble these dangerous attitudes and shut them down when and where possible. it's not only trans people who face this struggle- intersex people deal with never being able to pass or be clocked as their actual gender from birth a lot of the time. people MUST understand that women and men come in all types of bodies, shapes and sexes, whether or not they chose to look like that. and whether or not they chose doesn't matter, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect, which means being gendered correctly despite how they look or sound.

The commercial visibility of Pride over the past few years has often excluded the voices of those most marginalized.
Digital illustration of a large group of queer people. There are people of all different ages, sizes, and genders gathered around a sign that reads, ‘no pride for some without pride for all.’

Hi, I saw one of your latest posts talking about the gender "segregation" where you state that women's only spaces shouldn't exist. So, if that was actually real, do you think me, a cis lesbian woman, should I be using a changing room or a bathroom used also by people with penises?
I would feel very uncomfortable being naked near someone who is biologically a male and I have the right to say no, no matter how they react, cis women's feelings matter too and nobody can tell me when I should be uncomfortable, same thing goes for sports, cis women could get physically hurt if a biological male played against them and this had already happened in a school in the US.
This more confirms how you far left activists don't care about us
I do not care about people's disgust when it comes to means of segregation. Do you think that during the 1960s there was no white person who felt uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with someone with dark skin when desegregation hit bathrooms and locker rooms? Do you think there's no white person who feels that way now (hell, a big reason American suberbs are a thing is that it allows white people to live in white only places post civil rights laws)?
How is your desire to feel comfortable through segregation any diffrent? There is a group you feel uncomfortable with in a space so you want it segregated, I suggest you either not use that space or find a way to be more comfortable. Society may have a responsibility for you to be safe, but there is no responsibility for you to feel safe.
And do you think nobody wants to be segregated away from you? You're literally a queer person, there are people who do not want you in public because of the exact same uncomfortablity with you. You probably have way more in common with trans people than most cis people do. If many people were allowed to remove what makes them uncomfortable from society, you would be forced into the closet. This isn't a hypothetical, the same people pushing for removal of trans people from society have same sex relationships as their next target.
Uncomfortablity is not something society can or should protect you from.

Hey you. American queer/neurodivergent/disabled/immigrant kid.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry your country is betraying you. I'm sorry the people who promised you support and love stood by and let this happen. I'm sorry that the people being put into power right now are getting ready to make your life a living hell.
I'm so sorry.
But you HAVE to stick around, ok? Us older folks, YOU'RE the reason we fight so hard. We love you so much and so deeply and we are going to fight like hell to keep you safe. PLEASE please please stick around.
Your people are here and out there, and you are so very very loved you can't even imagine.
You've been so strong for so long and I'm so sorry, but you have to keep being strong. Be kind to yourself, check in with your friends, and DON'T lose hope.
Please. Don't leave us. We love you.

i feel like a lot of arguments WRT some queer identities having systemic privilege over others are fundamentally assimilationist in nature. it assumes that the default expression of queer people with any connection to otherwise "privileged" identities is to mirror the cultural ideal of those identities when in reality, the cultural ideal is not always attainable, or even desirable!
"trans women have male privilege before they transition" but why do you assume they all had the ability/desire to pass as cishet men?
"trans men have male privilege after they transition and pass" but why do you assume they all have the ability/desire to pass as cishet men?
"binary trans people have privilege because society already understands and accommodates their gender identity" but why do you assume they all have the ability/desire to pass as cishet he/him men or cishet she/her women?
"bisexuals have straight passing privilege because they can choose to date the 'opposite' gender" but why do you assume they all have the ability/desire to pass as straight, YES, even in MLW relationships?
*these are from the top of my head. please feel free to add more if you have personal examples.
