I thought this was less common that I believed, but it's apparently a thing so: If you have been raised or chosen to consume media only in English, and think your native language(s) aren't as good, it's never too late to change that attitude. Listen and sing to music in your language, do it proudly, from the heart. Read books from your country. Watch movies and series from where you are from. Write posts in your language, don't be afraid of showing off your dialect. And try to learn about media from other countries that aren't the US. You will find something enjoyable, promise.
English has many great things about it, and like it or not, it has taken the place of a global lingua franca -indeed I'm writing this post in English so I can reach a larger audience, in a way- but we should not let it replace global culture. So many languages are endangered, and so are their cultures. Don't lose a part of yourself just because English is "cooler". Don't subscribe to a monodiet of English-speaking media, don't let the world be a monoculture. Don't let artists from your place in life, who don't have the global reach of Hollywood or Silicon Valley, be unheard. Speak your language. Con orgullo, chamigo, con acento y todo.

HOLY SHIT
I didn’t think it would work... but I tried the chocolate mono yesterday and lost 2 pounds in 24 hours!!!! I do not lose weight fast AT ALL so I was so surprised and happy!!!! Idk how many grams I ate but it was a lot lol. 118.6 to 116.6!! And I’m almost at my first goal weight!!!!!!

Chocolate mono
So I'm doing a chocolate mono today for the first time. Annnd I've eaten almost 2,000 calories in chocolate... I swear if I gain tomorrow I'm going to die. Not even joking. Everyone says this works but imma be that one that gains on this. I'm calling it now.
So I didn't really track grams or water, but I know I've drank a ton. I've been running to the rest room every 20 minutes to pee. 😂 Also went skating for about 40 minutes before work- so at least I burned some calories off.
Well if nothing else, maybe I'll get sick and hate chocolate. Now time to fast until morning. Guess I'll find out the results tomorrow. I will update tomorrow 🙃

First post! Going to basically post results of my diet(s) and weight-loss journey here. Already completed a few days of mono-diets.
I’m 5’8” (around 175cm). I’ll post what has happened so far:
*2 days after doing a potato 🥔 mono I went from 183lbs to 175lbs. (-8lbs lost! My starting weight was taken kind of after a binge, though.)
*I then did 2 days of an egg 🥚 mono and got down to 172lbs (-3lbs)
*I attempted a watermelon 🍉 mono the fifth day, but ended up bingeing. Despite eating a whole watermelon and then some, plus rice and other junk during a binge, I maintained the same weight. (0lbs)
This is all despite:
-NO exercise (I’m a little sick 😷)
-Adding a LOT of salt
-and drinking coffee or energy drinks (they were 0-cal but it’s usually recommended not to drink anything but water oops)
Even had some cough drops on day 2 because of my throat.
So far this whole mono-diet thing has impressed me, with a total loss of about 11lbs. Yes, I know a good portion of that is water-weight... bitch, and? It still shows.

In :    853 kcal.  ✔
Out : 1 433 kcal.  ✔
And that’s a new record ! Today I’m done with the apple mono-diet. Honestly, it wasn’t so hard, or at least, not as hard as I thought it would be ! Usually, 3-5 apples kept me full. Today I’ll stick to just fruits and veggies to restart my digestive system properly. Only 1.8 kg left and I’ll reach my goal !
