Things are getting licensed fast enough that keeping a list like this up-to-date is basically impossible, but I saw someone asking in the tags so I figured I'd try. All titles are danmei unless otherwise noted (very little baihe is licensed so far). I've included Chinese titles, but sometimes publishers change the original titles so much that I can't track them down, apologies. I've hit the link limit on this post so I've had to remove NovelUpdate links, but they're still in the version of this post on Wordpress. Note that Taiwanese titles are not included on this list.

This is everything I know of as of December 11, 2024. There might be more. I tried. Resources used to compile this list: Danmeinews.com; this Carrd, last updated in March 2023; this other carrd last updated October 23 2024; list of danmei with official licenses on NovelUpdates; a similar list on Goodreads; danmei-specific list on Reddit that to my eye looks accurate for the larger publishers but isn't thorough for some of the smaller ones.

Seven Seas:

These titles are in various stages of publication, from "entire series released" to "license literally announced less than a week ago." As far as I know, all Seven Seas titles are available world-wide, through major distributors and libraries, and in e-book and print formats. Seven Seas translation quality varies but the editing is general strong and the editions are sturdy and nice. Note that Seven Seas isn't without controversy, especially for treating their contractors poorly resulting in them unionizing. Some people have also been unhappy with the fidelity of their translations compared to the original Chinese (I've been satisfied personally but ymmv).

Rosmei licenses are Singapore distribution rights only. There is a list of international partners organizing group orders here. I've personally placed my orders through Yiggybean, as discussed in reply to this ask. Most of these titles are only being released as print editions, tho titles that weren't originally on JJWXC (of which there are several here) WILL have e-book editions. My first book from Rosmei arrived, and I found the translation and editing to be very strong. I can't speak to how accurate it may be to the Chinese original, but it read smoothly and had very few errors. Overall, though they've made some mistakes, they've been communicative and responsive.

Was there any rationale as to who got what master in FSYY? Guangchengzi and Chijingzi teaching the two princes of the Shang Dynasty makes sense, as they have a reputation for being teachers of kings. Assigning Nezha to Taiyi also makes a certain amount of sense as Taiyi's main responsibility is saving souls from perdition. Nezha's two brothers train under two immortals with connections to Buddhism because of their syncretic origins. Wen Zhong, the chief Thunder God, learns from Doumu, the Daoist adaptation of Marishiten and the goddess of starlight. But then Qingxu-Daode Tianzun trains Yang Ren and Huang Tianhua, two powerful gods, but ones that have ambiguous reputations (all 60 Taisui and their lord Yin Jiao are perceived as very fierce, while Prince Bingling, in his role as a mountain god, has myths and folk legends of being lustful). And Yuding trains Yang Jian while Daoheng trains Wei Tuo/Skanda/Idaten, and Kakusandha trains the earth-affliated deity Tuxing Sun. Some matchups seem to be meaningful, others look more random.

In Yuding's case, I think it might be because he was mentioned as a sage of Western Shu aka Sichuan, the heart of Erlang worship, and thus they were made masters and disciples based on proximity.

Outside of Taiyi's relation to Taiyi Jiuku Tianzun, there's also a bunch of Song paintings of the sage, and the most famous one by Li Boshi featured him lying atop a lotus leaf, reading a book.

The painting itself did not survive, and we only know its content bc the poet Han Ju had written a poem about it, but this might be what eventually inspired the Lotus Resurrection Thing.

Aside from Wei Tuo, Daoheng has 2 other deified disciples, Han Dulong and Xue E'hu, who became the gods in charge of the addition and subtraction of fortunes, traditionally depicted as two young acolytes.

You are right that the matchup is pretty random, and I attribute that to the fact that the immortals themselves are pretty much OCs, whose only relation to any IRL deities/sages is their names.

And for the Chinese OCs in question, here is how they would react.

Haoyu would not like it if she disrespects his feelings and would definitely talk back to her about it. If she won't show him respect, then he is not showing her any respect too. He does not see why she thinks this is okay to do.

Hui Jin is upset by this. He does not think the girl had the right to disrespect him for a joke. It is not funny to him, so he will react accordingly. He would tell her that she is being disrespectful and that he will not tolerate that.

Jian-Yu would be put off by the disrespect he is receiving and start judging this girl for it. He does not see why he should have to put up with his feelings being disrespected like this. If she has the audacity to tell him that he needs to respect her feelings, he will laugh at her and say "that's a funny joke. Funny, because you didn't do that for me. Why should I respect you?"

This girl had said/done something that hurt him, so he is more cautious around her. He remembers what he has been taught, but this person did not respect him. He gives her judgmental looks any time she tries to speak to him.

YunLong would just sigh and tell her that she is not a good person for being so disrespectful. He would say he would like to be nice, but it does not seem like she deserves it. Whenever he sees her after this point, he makes sure to remind her of her actions and that she needs to change that if she wants his respect.

Zixuan looks at her differently from that point on. His feelings were just disrespected after all. "Treat people the way you want to be treated", he has heard people say. Since this girl was treating him disrespectfully, then he will not be nice to her. He ignores her as much as possible.
