Day 17 of my Halloween Countdown 2024!

How long has it been since anyone did a Jasmeralda (Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame's Esmeralda x Disney's Aladdin's Jasmine)? A while. Me too. But that's why I did them for my Halloween Countdown this year.

I did them as the Hazbin Hotel couple: Chaggie (Charlie Morningstar x Vaggie). Jasmine is Charlie, and Esmeralda is Vaggie. ( I added the Charlie makeup on Jasmine to make it accurate. Sorry if I didn't include the missing eye (X) on Esmeralda. It wasn't my intention)

==> A/N - yes I know... I still need to do the one that shows how Merc joined the ranks of Jasmine's Uncles. But I couldn't not do this one... 😁

Nora was nearly crushing Emerald in a hug, causing a small plastic tube to clatter on the floor. Jasmine being the inquisitive child she was, picked it up and looked at it.

"Mommy?" Jasmine asked her voice sounding even more whistly since loosing her other front tooth.

"Yes, sweetie?" Emerald gasped as she was finally released from Nora's grasp, due to the energetic bomber wanting to congratulate Jaune. Jaune of course was having none of that and soon Jasmine was watching Daddy racing about the house being chased by Auntie Nora.

"What's this?" she held up the plastic tube, showing a small oval window with two pink lines in it.

"Oh, um... that's a special tool used by mommies and daddies to see if you're going to have a baby brother or sister?"

"Oh." Jasmine replied, turning the window back towards herself, and cocking her head to the side as she studied the strange object. "So pink means sister?"

"Ah... maybe?" Emerald stammered out before yelling over her shoulder, "Honey... Assistance... PLEASE!"

"Call off Nora and I will!" Jaune shouted from the backyard.

"Not happening Daddy times two!" Nora cackled.

"Two?" Jasmine's eyes lit up brightly. "Two pink! Two sisters!"

"Ah... um... ah..."

"Help me!" Jaune wailed.

"You're mine Jaune-Jaune!" Nora cackled.

"Mommy? Two pink lines. Two sisters?"

"No, honey, you see this... tool let's mommies and daddies know if there is a baby on the way, not if it's a boy or girl." Emerald shot her daughter a hopeful look, that the baby questions were over for the day. She was wrong.

"So when will the baby be here?" Jasmine asked, pouting and scuffing her feet. "I thought the baby was here now."

"My back!" Jaune screamed from the back yard.

"Why did you think that, sweetie?" Emerald asked crouching down to look her ruby eyed , blond haired angel directly.

"Auntie Nora said you and daddy need alone time for the baby, so I looked and didn't fine one."

"Ah..." Emerald tried to think of a way out of this when Mercury and Ren came walking in through the front door of the modern two story home. Arguing about who was the better uncle. "Hey, sweets?"

"Yes, mommy?"

"Ask Uncle Ren and Uncle Mercury about babies. I bet they're so smart then can answer all your questions!"

"They is smart, but smarter than you? I though you and daddy were the smartest?"

"We are, but this a test, to see if they are as smart as mommy and daddy. Okay?"

"Okay!" Jasmine chirped, before turning about and bouncing her way into the kitchen area, as that was where her uncles' voice were coming from.

"Emerald stood up, smoothed her pants out, smiled, and then marched out into the back yard to save her husband, and broach the subject of how to tell their darling daughter about babies.

In the kitchen/dining room, Ren and Mercury had piled several shopping bags, upon the table and pulling various products from inside said bags.

"A herb garden? You serious dude?" mercury asked, a little stunned at Ren's choice of present. "She's five, what in the H-E-Double Hockey Sticks would she want with a garden?"

"It's a soothing and intellectual hobby." Ren defended his choice. "It's never too late to expand your mind."

"Well, it has nothing what I got her!" Mercury said with a smirk while pulling out the latest wrestling based console game. "Mega-Super-Ultimate Rumble Huntresses! She loved wrestling, so she's going to love me! So there!"

"Did you check the ESRB Rating?" Ren asked while taking the game case from Mercury's hands.

"The what?"

"Rated M for Mature." Ren responded. "This is unsuitable for someone of Jasmine's age!"

"Seriously? Rated M? It's a wrestling game!"

"Scantily spandex clad huntresses with... jiggle physics."

"Oh... that makes sense."

"Uncie Ren? Uncie Mercury?" came the small innocent voice of the little angel the pair of men would do anything for.

"Hey rug-rat." Merc greeted Jasmine, moving around the table and helping the bundle of innocence into a chair.

"Hi, pumpkin." Ren greeted Jasmine while setting the herb garden down onto of the video game to hide the cover from Jasmine's view.

"I have a question, and mommy said you and Uncie Mercury would answer it." Jasmine happily informed her two uncles.

"We'll answer any questions you have munch-kin." Mercury informed the small girl.

"Uncle Mercury is right. So what do you want to ask?" Ren inquired.

"Mommy said," Jasmine proceeds to put the positive pregnancy test on the table. "this means there's a baby, but that two pink lines don't mean two sisters. Is she telling the truth?"

"You're mommy is telling the truth sweetie." Ren answered. "This is a special test that tells mommies and daddies if there is a baby coming."

"Oh," Jasmine pouted. "I want two sisters."

"Well the baby could be babies." Mercury stepped into the conversation in an attempt cheer up the little angel. "That only says a baby is coming, not how many, so you could very well have two sisters."

"Yes!" Jasmine cheered, in her adorable way< "So when?"

"When, what sweetie?" Ren asked, starting to feel as if Emerald threw Mercury under the bus.

"When will the baby get here?" A second after stating that question, her eyes grew bright with excitement. "Tomorrow?"

"Ah, sorry munch-kin not tomorrow."

"Can we go pick the baby up?" Jasmine asked before Ren could say anything additional to Mercury's answer. "There's baby stores in the mall, is that were we go?"

"No, those stores don't sell babies, they sell items for babies."

"So when then?" Jasmine once again started to pout.

"Nine months." Mercury replied, also coming to the conclusion that Em had purposefully submarined him and Ren.

"Why so long? Is it coming in the mail?"

"Ah, no... um..." Ren looked to Mercury, with a very "How do we deal with this?" look.

"Jas?" Mercury stepped in, a smirk on his face. "Do you remember those pictures of your Dad printed off of your Mom? The ones in your special photo album?"

"Yes? Why?"

"Do you remember anything funny about how you mom looked in those pictures?"

"Mom was FAT!" Jasmine exclaimed.

"Yep!" Mercury had to suppress his laughter. A sideways glance at Ren told the former assassin that Ren was in the same boat. "That was you making Mommy fat."

"Me?" Jasmine's eyes growing wide with curiosity.

"Yes," Ren interjected deciding to just finally rip the band-aide off. "Those pictures when you mom was... fat, are also of you, growing inside your mom's belly."

"I was in mommy's belly?"

"Yep, that's were babies, are kept until it's time to... ah..." Mercury paused, not sure how to tactfully mention birth.

"And they hide there for nine months before Mommies go to a special place to... have them?" Ren ended up turning his statement of fact in a question.

"Any other questions rug-rat?" Mercury asked, making a mental note to have a chat with the Arc parents.

"Yes, um..."

"Just ask the sweetie." Ren commented.

"How does the baby get in a mommy's belly? Did she eat them? How do the babies get out? Was it Auntie Saphron's belly, or Auntie Terra's belly that Adrian made fat?"

Mercury and Ren looked at each other, the competition on who was the better Uncle, was put on the backburner through mutual agreement, as they decided the best course of action in this situation was a tactical retreat.

"Emerald, you're NEEDED in the kitchen!" Mercury and Ren called out in unison. "Like NOW!"

"Kind of busy!" Emerald voice drifted into the house from the backyard. "Can you guys handle it just for a little... longer? Please?"

Uncie Ren? Uncie Mercury?" Jasmine looked up at the pair, a hardened assassin and a veteran huntsman, with a pleading look, filled with questions.

"Ah... how about we go for ice-cream?" Ren offered.

"Then the arcade?" Mercury asked.

"Yes!" Jasmine cheered. "You the bestest uncies ever in then whole world!"

It is very apparent to me I have a type in both women and men. As well, yes, I still have major crushes on the live action character's thespian. I mean dang I was not expecting such types, but one of my friends did observe I tend to like Jewish, Middle Eastern, French, and Indian women, and men twinks XD (often Untied Kingdom). Dyed hair not picky on gender though, as a good look all around.

Disney Women in summer dresses

[Esmeralda, Mulan, Belle, Ariel, Elsa, Anna, Cinderella, Alice, Jasmine Kida, Aurora, Merida, Megara, Rapunzel, Tinkerbell, Nani, Snow White, Tiana and Pocahontas]

I thought I'd do a series of Disney characters as 'real' women in 'normal' clothes through AI. All were "text to image" using the 'digital art' style. All prompts were the same (they were to be in a summer dress with beach background), aside from switching their names each time obviously. I requested 2 images for each character and chose my favourite.

Things to note; generally there were no body parts cut off or noticeably awkward limbs, however the eyes sometimes had errors but I decided not to try again for anyone and just leave them slightly imperfect. I preferred the dresses when they veered off Disney-Princess territory and were more in line with my theme. Every time I AI-image Mulan, she's stunning, ditto Ariel. I love how Esmeralda turned out, often she doesn't work for me in AI. Anna dislikes the feeling of sand between her toes, I could make a joke about it not bothering her sister though. Cinderella is very 'live action' Cinders isn't she? Jasmine, they don't always get spot-on, her hairstyle is so iconic in the film so when that changes... she looks less like herself. I don't think Nani is how Nani would look in real life-I'm not sure why they decided on curly hair and I wish she was curvier. I wanted both of Alice's dresses. Pocahontas has a beach background but she's not changing her style. Snow White still hasn't learnt her apple lesson, but she's clearly using her SPF50, good girl. I thought Kida turned out really well and as always Merida's hair deserves a post/film/life of it's own.

You knew you shouldn’t have been out there. Shouldn’t have been the center of his emerald gaze. But you were…and it was no one’s fault but your own. You had spoken with your faceless friend in the bell tower.

“Quasi, why don’t we go out during the Topsy Turvy festival? We wouldn’t be judged…if we say that we’re wearing masks.”

“...No (Y/n) we can’t…its more than just a festival..”

“Then what is it? I’m tired of no one telling me why we can’t go?! We’re the same aren’t we? All humans aren’t we?!” 

You heard no response, further angering you as you stomped to your feet. Everyone was like this: avoiding questions, speaking cryptically. Could you really blame yourself for wanting to sate your curiousity. It didn’t matter now, not when the dancer’s eyes lit up at the sight of you. Somehow it stirred something in your eternal soul that something truly horrible was going to happen. You chalked it up to supersitition…the nuns of the church did plenty to exaggerate…that’s all it was….hopefully. The feeling never left even when he found you again, on your way out of the cheering crowd. He was gorgeous up close more so than  when he was dancing limber on the stage before. 

“Well hi there! I see your a new face!”

Hiding his face under a scarf did nothing to hinder his shining smile and the waft of jasmine that filled your nostrils at his proximity. You dumbly nodded, stuttering out something as you tried to remind yourself of your objective–getting back to the church. You swerved past him with a polite excuse me before continuing to push past the crowd. 

“Where ya going precious? The festival’s just started!”

You fought the willingness to go with his invitation, continuing to escape the crowd ducking into an alleyway. As if to taste your last bit of spntanaiety you stopped yourself. Turning back to the festival colorful and bright in the daylight, uncovered from the shadows of the alley it lit up the pained visage of the gypsy dancer. Despite the tug of his emerald gaze your desire to return home was greater. 

Esmerald watched as you disappeared within the darkness between the buildings. Letting his sadness fade into an angered scowl. He breathed inhaling to himself he plastered his smile discarding his hood to join the festivities once more. 

You took the scenic route already being avoided by any who weren’t apart of the festival. Spying at the guards at the door you also looked to the entry the bell tower provided. Hyping yourself for a climb you began to feel the side of the church, lifting your leg to climb.

“I hope you do not plan to enter your home that way!” 

You turned in shock as you were dwarfed by the shadow of the judge on his horse. Beside him the head nun who mirrored your expression. Shrinking into the cold stone of the churches walls you allowed your arm to be snatched by the judge, who had dismounted his stead, flinging you into her waiting arms.

“That solves your missing person case! At the very least you can be proud they returned to their senses before nightfall. We can only hope…that the other will do the same.”

“Other?” You whispered, unable to question as the nun checked you over quickly ushering you inside, sending you to your room. Easily you made your way to the bell tower eyeing the sheet that you’d usually use to talk through on the ground; revealing a table full of wooden carvings. Not just any wood carvings but carvings of everyone in the city, including a hunched figure representing Quasimoda. 

“Oh Quasi.” Holding the figurine in your hands you looked at the display���decorated in colored rags and the crowd gathered to represent the festival. Among your watchful gaze you spied the dark and faraway members of the church. Looking among them you found none that had any resemblance to your image. Finding it strange you looked all throughout the wooden town beginning to search in case it had fallen; bending down to find a peculiar scene. 

Copies of the citizens were gathered together huddled around a pile of red and yellow rags seemingly having another festival. But a little farther from the wooden crowd was a figurine that resembled yourself laying on the floor, you wished you could dismiss it as a mistake if it weren’t for the figure with green dots for eyes standing above you. It guarded your downed piece from a copy of the same wooden friend you were still tightly clutching in your hands. 

“Do you know what it means?”

The question had you reeling back and out from the table, looking to see Judge Frollo with an uncharacteristically sullen look on his face. Standing in the darkness of the bell tower he waited until you rose to face him.

“Maybe…she thinks something might happen in the waterways…maybe another festival?”

You feared to voice anything more letting the judge walk further into the orange light of the setting sun. His silhouette towered shadowed you as he looked to the town below with a grimace.

“I fear Quasimoda has done something…regrettable and is calling on you to correct it.”

His words hung heavy as your mind raced to reach a veritable conclusion. Stomach churning at the sight of the flare that the rags raised to represent and your downed wooden copy. You opened your mouth for guidance…only for Judge Frollo would know only for a raised hand to quiet you. 

“I’m not going to tell you what to do, this is a decision for the curious to answer. And it was not I who left the comfort of the church to pursue something more.”

You didn’t know if he was speaking about you or Quasimoda but it didn’t matter. Whether it was your hubris or hers it wasn’t a debate. You were going to her be there for her.

You made your way to the waterways, refusing to look back at the church where you knew Frollo was watching. You would be strong…if only for your friend. Ventured further letting the cold nip at your skin as you moved through the empty streets of the town. 

It wasn’t until you made your way to the underside of the grand bridge already displaying the shadows of bodies dancing. Flickering light that must have been made by a large source of fire all that was left to see was if it fit the image Quasi had made. Silencing your steps you crept slowly hugging the corner as you peeked over the corner. In a horrifying display a group of masked people danced around a pile of fire holding unrecognized flags and goat skeleton’s head on pikes. The whooping of the group let your fearful breathing go unnoticed. With no sight of your hunched friend you backed away, turning to run back to the church only to be fallen by the chest of someone familiar. 

“Well hello again beautiful! Happy you could make it.” 

The joyful greeting was given by none other than Esmerald sporting a warmer version of his dancing outfit, still looking as radiant as ever. His smile and lidded eyes had a devious glow as his shadow danced with the flickering fire. You moved to side step him preparing to sprint out of the waterways only to be stopped by Esmerald’s hand. Holding a cloth in front of you he smirked before beginning a dance. Shaking his hips and keeping eye contact with you he stretched his single cloth to many waving it in tandem with his body. You had to shake yourself out of the trance attempting to sidestep once again only to find yourself restricted. In the wake of Esmerald’s dance you were slowly being tied up by the unexpectedly sturdy string of clothes leaving you to buckle falling to your knees and thusly on the ground. Feeling the cold concrete against your cheek you could only look up at the smiling gypsy. 

He bent downm, bringing his face close to yours as he searched for something. You flinched at the warmth of his thumb tenderly rubbing the curve of your lip. Trying to back away you didn’t get very far as you pulled you close, whispering in your ear.

“I’ve been waiting for the longest time.”

He pulled away intensely looking over your face before moving to kiss you. 

“Stop! I won’t let you harm them!”

You looked past Esmerald’s head smiling at your dear friend’s appearance only to reduce to a grim look of fear as you watched Esmerald’s visage change. Eager bliss scrunched into an ugly snarl as he reluctantly released your head to turn to Quasimoda.

“You? It was you who thought it best to interrupt me?!” 

He growled startling Quasimoda but she held her ground standing as tall as she could. 

“Aye! I was wrong to make such a deal with you…especially before I knew what your kind does…” 

Deal? What deal? You wanted to ask but it didn’t as though you were apart of this conversation. 

“Ha,”Esmerald laughed dryly still sporting an angry scowl. “You want to go back on our deal do you? Than what will you give me in exchange?”

Quasimoda turned in on herself.

“What? Did you think I would let you jip me out of my proper prize? We outcasts need a Fool who do you bring in the absence of one.”

With a sorrowful look in her eye she mouthed an apology to you as she stepped forward.

“I will do it. I will be your fool…” 

“Excellent!” 

Quasimoda’s pained confession against Esmerald’s joyful one was sickening to watch. Not being soothed by the way the previously dancing party now surged forward menacingly as they filter around Esmerald and you. With jeers and laughs the crowd parted to reveal a wooden headlock around her neck, looking defeated as Esmerald waltzed up to her. 

Angled to the side so you could see you watched the pure joy that radiated off of emerald eye’d dancer as he mockingly bent to Quasimoda’s level. Grasping her face he let his nails dig into her cheeks as spoke, squeezing for emphasis.

“That’s real noble of you Quasi. Sacrificing your life for their’s! All for our dear (Y/n)!” 

He jerked her head to look at you, eyes full of shame and humiliation. You could only look on in bewilderment as Esmerald turned her away to look into his gleeful face.

“Just so you know…it was always going to be you.” 

The revelation triggered the crowd to pull her away resisting all her struggles to attack despite her bindings. Roughly pulling her past the corner towards the bonfire creating a horrible shadow along the walls. The big black mass that must have been the crowd seamed to heave before chucking, what must have been Quasimoda into the fire. You could hear her screaming confused and in pain you were unable not to imagine the true sight as you turned away from the shadow’s view, now looking to the beaming Esmerald. 

With her screams still persisting a chant began to which Esmerald hummed along as he worked to scoop you up, forcing you to rest upon his chest. Hearing the quick beating of his heart reserved joyous occasions you let the man carry you out of the water ways to an old building. Tossing you on a surprisingly soft matress, he quickly followed suit. Caging your tied self he made sure to get close; close enough for your noses to be touching before speaking oncemore.

“So darling? What shall we do with you? The festivities have all ended and you didn’t even get to witness the Fool’s burning?” He mockingly pouted pulling at the fabrics the church provided, his face looked at them with spite before lighting up in a wicked smile. 

“Oh I know darling! How about I show you a favorite dance of mine, huh baby? A dance I’ve been waiting to show you since I had your little figurine!

Don’t look at me like that baby, now pay attention! This is going to be our first dance together, it’ll be best if we both enjoy it!”

Day 18 - A Quiet Day

We spent a rather quiet day with the Disney Dormmates, a much needed reprieve after the close call with Ariel.

Shang and Phoebus have enjoyed playing chess together, and are now good friends! It helps that they can bond over being warriors. Aladdin and Mulan have spent some silent bonding time at the home gym, increasing their endurance and gaining muscles.

Jasmine has discovered a love of violin, and she's rather good at it despite being a first time learner. The house loves to gather round and watch her play. Esmeralda has gotten a few tips and tricks for swimming from Prince Eric and has put them to good use. Even though she was afraid of drowning, Esmeralda successfully swam a few laps in the pool.

Scene : A cheap motel in Argus

==> @cheeseeater2 - What if Nora and Ren find Jaune and Emerald with the kid and let them go if only for the child to be safe. Jaune says even if they hate him forever he loves them and hopes they can be happy one day.

Of all the things Ren and Nora expected after hearing that Jaune had left with Pyrrha during the fall, and then discovering that he and Emerald were on the run from Salem's agents. Finding himself held at gun-point by the man he used to consider a brother, was not one of them.

It had been a stroke of luck, finding out Jaune and Emerald were expecting. It was through idle chit-chat with the other tenants of the apartment building Jaune and Emerald had been living in for the last almost year... before vanishing days before a fire gutted the building. So as they continued their counter operations against Salem's machinations, they kept checking local medical centers and hospitals.

At a stop over in Argus, about a year after the last lead that went cold at the apartment complex. Nora had decided on a whim to check the local hospital, and much to her utter shock she caught site of Emerald leaving with a bundle cradled in her arms. So cautiously she followed the obviously new mother, tracing her back to a rather shabby motel.

A scroll call and Ren was beside her with in twenty minutes. A hint of intimidation and they had the room number. The flimsy wooden door was no obstacle for Nora. She was through it at the first hit of her shoulder. Ren was inside a fraction of a second after Nora burst through the door. The screaming of a startled child, and the yells of a young women, filled the room. But what Ren really focused on was the cold barrel of a rather nasty pistol being pressed against the center of his chest.

"You don't want to do this Jaune." Ren calmly informed his former team leader. "This will just make things worse."

"You right Ren, I don't want to do this, but to protect my wife and my daughter... I will." Jaune replied, his voice measured, and forced like he was fighting the potential of his own emotions surfacing. "Back away Nora."

"Jaune, why?" Nora asked as she stepped back away from the door she had just smashed in.

"I made a mistake." Jaune replied. "Both Em and I did."

"And what do you call this?" Ren asked nodding towards the pistol pressed against his chest.

"Protecting our second chance." Jaune replied. "Em, are you and her okay?"

"We are, she's just a little scared." Emerald answered, as she gently rocked the bundle in her arms. "Shush that's okay sweetie. It's okay, daddy will keep the bad people away from us."

"We're not... bad people." Nora countered.

"Really?" Emerald asked. "You've been trying to find us for years. Chasing us from place to place. Making us uproot, time and time again just so we can have a life away from all the bullshit."

"But..."

"We made mistakes. We were lied to. Led on." Emerald cut Nora off. "We figured it out too late to stop them, so we left."

"And have Ozpin's and Salem's minions dogging us all over Remnant." Jaune added. "We're out. We want to be left in peace. We know nothing, nor do we want to know anything. We're out."

"Jaune, you know..."

"Who says it can't be that way? Ozpin? Salem?" Jaune countered. "Fuck them and their little war!"

"Jaune, language!' Emerald hissed as she continued to placate the fussy infant.

"I'm sorry, but the point remains. We're out. We just want to make a life, for us and our daughter. A quiet life." Jaune expanded upon his original statement. "Both of you away from the door."

"Jaune, this isn't the right way. Come back with us? Ozpin can..."

"Ozpin is a failure." Jaune rebutted. "If he had any brains or sense he would have at least had an idea that Salem was trying something after the breach."

"None of us..."

"No, we didn't." Jaune agreed, "But we we're students, why would we have? The ones in power should have been protecting us. Like I will Em and Jas."

"Jas?" Nora asked as she moved as far from the door, as she could without getting any closer to Emerald or the infant. "Is that her name? Jas?"

"Jasmine Esmeralda Arc." Emerald informed the group. "She's named after our mothers."

Jasmine started to fuss more.

"Is she..."

"She's hungry." Emerald answered as she adjusted how she was holding Jasmine while lifting the left side of her shirt to feed her bundle of joy.

"I'm sorry it came to this." Jaune commented as he moved himself to be standing between Emerald and the now sitting Nora and Ren, his pistol still trained on Ren. "I never wanted to hurt you, either of you. You mean too much to me, but..."

"Jasmine and Emerald mean more." Nora finished his statement. "I can understand that."

"Are you truly happy Jaune?" Ren asked, keeping his hands flat on his lap, in clear view. "I mean really happy?"

"I am." Jaune replied. "I... we made our mistakes, but Jas is the best of both of us, and she deserves a future."

"A future you're willing to kill to protect?" Ren asked.

"You need to understand, Ren. I don't want to, but I will. To protect Em and Jas, I will put down anyone that comes after us."

"What are you going to do now?" Nora asked, trying to lean just enough to see Emerald and her baby.

"Same as we always do when you two or Cinder and Pyrrha get too close. We'll leave, and find somewhere new."

"That's not much of a life." Ren commented. "Always on the run. Is that fair to Jasmine? To Emerald? To you?"

"If I could change it. If I could fix it, I would... but there's fat chance of that happening, isn't there."

"Can I... can I hold her?" Nora tentatively asked. "I won't do anything, I swear, I just... I just feel this need..."

"I don't..."

"It's okay Jaune." Emerald cut him off. "I trust her enough not to hurt Jas. She's not the type."

Emerald stood, up after burping Jasmine, and slowly approached, keeping out of Jaune's line of fire. She loved him, wholly, and she understood is consuming drive and need to keep her and their daughter safe. She had the same compulsion.

"Watch her head." Emerald softly instructed Nora as she lay the precious bundle of joy. Jaune and her little miracle into Nora's arms.

"She's so small." Nora whispered, a sad smile on her face. "She's so small."

"Jaune, put it away." Emerald smiled at him as she crouched next to Nora who was completely enamored with little Jasmine.

Jaune hesitated for a fraction of a moment and then reached up and pushed the pistol back up into his sleeve. Ren heard the click of the mechanism resetting.

"Ren," Nora softly spoke. "We can't keep chasing them. We need to help them."

"Nora?"

"She's so small, and innocent. She shouldn't have to suffer for Jaune and Emerald's mistakes." Nora commented her eyes never leaving the beautiful if but slightly chubby face. "This is a fresh start for them... and us."

"Us?" Ren asked.

"I hate what Pyrrha did. How she used us all. How she broke our trust... but I want to help protect this little one. I want to do that more than chasing Jaune or Emerald." Nora made a kissy face as Emerald smiled. "Everything we're doing is about the future right? Protecting it?"

"I guess." Ren responded.

"Then let's help them. Let's let this little one have the family the Grimm robbed us of..." Nora's eyes started to tear up, emotions she thought long gone washing over her.

"It's okay, Nora." Emerald comforted her one time enemy. "It's okay."

"There might be a way." Ren sighed as he spoke. "Because to be honest I'm tired of chasing you Jaune."

"If it's any consolation, we're tired of being chased by you." Jaune gave his former teammate a soft smile.

"Would you stay in Vale, if we could get you in without anyone knowing? If we could help you get settled? Would you stay?"

Jaune looked to Emerald who was still hovering over Nora, rubbing her back in gentle circles as Nora tried to get control of her emotions. Emerald gave Jaune a smile and a nod.

"I would, if we can be safe. Unmolested?"

"Only Nora and I would know. Not even Ozpin will be any the wiser."

"Tell me why?" Jaune point blank asked.

"I want my family back together, despite the mistakes we've all made." Ren replied. "You're our family Jaune, and we miss you."

"I miss you as well." Jaune responded.

"So, can you really help us? Keep us secret and safe?" Emerald asked as Nora, at Emerald's urging, transferred Jasmine back into her arms.

"We can." Ren replied.

"No," Nora spoke her voice breaking slightly. "We will."

Jaune swallowed hard, and moved forward, his arms spread accepting Nora and Ren into a hug that had been forever in the making. A familial embrace they had all missed.

A little different to my usual Disney posts. There was a new art style on the AI photo editing site I use, so I thought I'd give it a go for the Christmassy theme I had planned. I had no idea what style of image I was going to get as it sounded very vague. It's called "Summer Meadow" (the example thumbnail was exactly that, a summery looking meadow), so it probably wasn't intended for a Christmas theme, but after trying a few characters, I really liked the style and continued. My results after that were...varied. Hilariously so, so I wanted to share them.

My prompt was something along the lines of "X" wearing a festive Christmas jumper with a Christmas tree and decorations in the background (two images for each person). Above are the 'good' i.e. recognisable characters [Snow White, Ariel, Mulan, Cinderella, Elsa, Merida and Jasmine], not so bad huh?

These are the questionable, i.e. they're not necessarily bad, but not instantly recognisable as that particular character. Did you guess Belle for the blonde? Didn't think so. Next two are apparently Esmeralda, then Megara. Pocahontas has the pose in the first one, but the flashes of blue in the hair and the earrings are giving Jasmine vibes. Tiana just isn't very Tiana-ish imo, the long, straight hair, the flashes of blue again, the hoop earrings, plus the interesting wording on the jumper! However, nothing will prepare you for the horrors of the 'definitely didn't work' category. I don't think I need to elaborate on the description once you see them...

You're thinking I've 'branched out' and tried Mickey Mouse pictures this time? Nope, I give you Kida. White haired, little Kida, who usually comes out so well in my AI images. That's her above. All four images! I tried her again because I was convinced I must've done something wrong. Maybe Kida is "mouse" in another language?!

These two, well these two are Lilo. "It's all in the hips", Elvis loving, peanut butter sandwich fish feeding Lilo...yeah, that one. I'm actually quite scared of the grinning, clown faced, mouse-boy, dog, thing. Actually both of them. Do you think "Lilo" is dog in another language?!!

I know AI can get a bad rep these days and for good reason sometimes, it's actually scary what it can do and how people use it or rather abuse it. However, I've always been honest in my use of it, I've never pretended that these are artworks created by my own hand or stolen an independent artists work (other than borrowing the likeness of the original illustrated characters by those at Walt Disney I suppose). I purely use it light-heartedly and for fun, it's a bit of a de-stress for me and a giggle (and frustrated sigh) every time a 3 legged person, 6 fingered hand or Kida-Mouse pops up.

My background is creative and sadly since becoming ill 22 years ago, it's something I had to give up and that's deeply infuriating. I know these images are created by typing words on a keyboard and that I haven't lifted a paintbrush or pencil, but if that's as close as I can get to anything arty these days, then so be it. I know a few words and a click of the mouse to create an image isn't rocket-science or even talent, it's more like a blind-box of art tbh, you never know what you're going to get. However I've never claimed it to be anything other than a collection of silly themed pictures, so please don't take these posts as anything else but that, there's absolutely no malice intended x
