The sabbath candles being in focus while wade's mom and knuckles fight off the bounty hunters in the background made me jump out of my seat (idk the exact word for it but I'm always gonna be amazed at camera work for these scenes)

The brief GUN lore exploration (its kind of funny with them trying to cover the mistakes from the events that happened in 2 and introducing two soon to be ex GUN members)

bruh the pachacamac reveal was the funniest shit they did with his character (especially with the bowling outfit)

I was kind of worried he was gonna be like his power hungry counterpart in sonic adventure 1 but nope he genuinely cares, especially being disappointed in wade for getting the overall message wrong

Watsonian reason: Someone needed to deal with the key and the foot. the turtles and splinter got wrecked by the krang fight. April is staying to help with their recovery and she still has college. So the Casey's are the only people that can drop everything and go to japan

Doylist reason: Didn't want to write them. They, as characters, wouldn't contribute in any way outside of the very end of the last arc. So they'd just be bloat. They're more useful outside the narrative than in it.

Also the original draft had casey jr be straight up non-existant.

i love it when bad is very specifically a good roleplayer by giving other people good prompts. like casually bringing up wilbur now to tallulah. or when he put missa in the petting zoo. or all those times he Tormented the Lesbians so they could protect each other from him. its just so !!!! I love watching roleplayers be considerate of other roleplayers and gleefully hand over something they Know the other person's character can react to. i've seen cellbit do it, too (that time he handed his knife to bbh. oh my god). it's not a rare thing, and it's possible to be a good roleplayer without keeping that sort of considerate back and forth in mind, but its one of my favourite things to notice. foolish does it too, sometimes- i haven't watched him much, but i did take note of when he Made Sure to bring jaiden along with him on a cucurucho quest. and basically every interaction he had with bad when the eggs were missing. its just so so good

They're elves of the shadowfell, normal human height. They specialize in teleportation and invisibility, with the casters among them throwing in confusion and fear and illusion. Be careful though, as any trained in combat start making non-elves slower and worse while within 10 feet. From depression, from the sound of it. Their angst about being more ancient and timeless than you wordlessly attaches to you like a parasite, slowing you down. Good for if you enjoy concepts like-

Shadows, but like DARKER than shadow, that lash out when they're moody

looking beautiful unless in shadow, in which case they're corpselike

ignoring pointless things like "comfort" and "morals" and "rules"

being the chosen of the Raven Queen, and on her behalf collecting dark tragedy, sorrow, and feelings of loss.

being corpse pale with jet black hair, pure black eyes, and covered with tattoos/piercings/anything that would make a generic white suburban mom in the 50's scream in terror.

Lumping them all together because they're all the same outside one having mage hand and such. Idc what weapon they're holding.
