can i be honest. the only issue is referring to mizuki with he/him pronouns. using she/her on her is not. a big deal. the ONLY reason they/them is ever used is to “obscure” her gender while colorful palette plays this “are they a trans girl or a boy wearing girl clothes 😱?!????” game with us all. and regardless of the writers’ actual intent, mizuki’s narrative is explicitly transfeminine in nature. people reading her as a trans girl and referring to her with she/her pronouns is not a problem and shouldn’t make you “uncomfortable.” especially if you’re TME, and especially because the only people i ever see doing this are transfem themselves. *does a really cool kickflip and fades out of existence*

#just saying because i caught a glimpse of a 'dni you use he/him OR she/her on mizuki' on a self-proclaimed tme person's byf and it's just #bestie... considering the context of this specific character and Why they/them is used on them. i don't think it's your perogative to be-#uncomfortable with she/her pronouns being used on them as a tme person.#and it's really weird to act like it's on the same level as using he/him on them because lol it's not #ESPECIALLY. My focus is shit in my astronomy lab section when we're going through the PowerPoint because my ta is after a second glance clearly into vamp play and I'm totally not distracted by how his canines are like. Actually rather sharp. 👀😳

My actual takeaway from iwtv is that claudia was right and lestat does deserve to die alone in a ditch

#thinking to a while back when i caught glimpse of discourse that grace was homophobic #which is textually not true but its also such a poor reading of her distancing from louis #like to me their storyline is so clearly meant to show a pattern #louis' sexuality pauls death and his early vampirism isolate him from his family #he tries to still see them and its clear grace cares about how he is #but lestat leverages the tensions to further isolate louis #and in turn his choosing that relationship over his relationship with grace creates further tension which becomes isolation etc etc #i think both grace and louis made mistakes along the wat but in a sense she was right when she declared him dead #because him choosing to stay with lestat was killing parts of himself #which is why lestat deserves to die in a ditch i will not allow him such nuances as i do other characters #i think claudia saw it that night she watched louis at the cemetary #saw just how damaging lestat had been to louis saw how much he had lost #and she loves him and so she resents lestat and i think she is entirely justified #lestat is a pathetic selfish emotionally immature man but what makes me hate him is how he acts on these things how he intentionally #manipulates people so as to isolate them from everyone but him

I mean, they’re both right! Lucifer was an ass and he was in character! :P But it’s hysterical all the same.

#the comment 'didn't see Chloe abandoning the kid' also delighted me #because I expected people to be surprised by that but also they shouldn't have been #Chloe ran away for a month and teamed up with the too-Catholic-for-the-Catholic-Church side of the Vatican #to permanently banish Lucifer to Hell after finally seeing his Devil face #She just caught a glimpse of it out of the corner of her eye and shot him in S1 #but -- and I'm observing from the outside still so please correct me if I'm wrong --#fans don't seem to integrate that into Chloe's characterization #They just get mad at her for not reacting the way they would react and then write it so she's more chill about everything in their fics #But this is a canon where Amenadiel can scare the shit out of someone with his wings #his ANGEL wings! Heavenly angel wings! We're not talking Lucifer's Devil face here #ANGEL WINGS scare the shit out of regular humans in canon #which means in this universe divinity of all forms is fucking terrifying #It doesn't matter that we the viewers are blase about it #In-universe the characters freak out when divinity reveals itself #so they should in fanfic too #I mean you can change that obviously in fanfic because that's the whole point of fanfic #Just don't act like canon was inconsistent here. It was VERY consistent on this point #That's all I'm saying
