Beginning of last volume of my 40’s I guess. It’s Saturday.

So, since Gay Pride Parade in San Fransisco is June 27, from now until my birthday on June 20th will be a study of my first 50 years and of gaydom at large!

Age and gay: Elephants in the living room.

Jim and I sit in the den and watch “Next Food Network Star!”

A commercial.

A man has a big mansion. A fancy car. A sining group entertains him

15 minutes of fame.

Next scene: The house is in foreclosure. The car is being towed away.

Jim said to me “It’s you! Ha ha. “Oh, I’m sorry.”

(After being fired from the Public Defender’s office in 1997, I lost my house to foreclosure and had to declare bankruptcy.)

Ellen Kushner’s National Public Radio’s show “Sound and Spirit is on now.

It’s theme is marriage.

“Marriage is full integration into human society, the wedding results in a social unit. The union is recognized.

My margin note to above dated 6/19/2006: (Regarding my relationship with Jim:) “ Our wedding is imagined. As if it happened and is vaguely forgotten."

Arlene's Flowers- fought to stop LGBTQ discrimination from businesses #Obergefell v. Hodges- case that legalized gay marriage #literally WAY MORE GUYS #so don’t fall into dispair! these are literally one of the good ones!

yeah yeah rainbow capitalism is bad and whatever but like. when I was a child, being pro gay was not the popular or lucrative choice. I'm happy that times have changed.
