Late, but here is my art piece for the Fiendish prophecies zine. I had to do the moment between Fig and Adaine in the mall episode because I love their shared connection. I did it in a comic book type style because I love exploring different art styles, and I thought it fit this moment.

Kay! (pronounced "kye" btw) my self-insert oc . . . inspired by @verdantlights alnst sona oc! the format of this post will be based off of zen's post that zey made about zeir sona

stats:

pronouns: he/him (transgender man) (gay & demi)

5'8'' (or 5'7.8'') and about 160lbs in freedom units

Guardian is Adre. Very Shine-esque parenting style.

Not a tube baby but he has undergone surgical/physical modifications (the red dots in his eyes haven't always been there)

Brand is above his right ankle.

Trivia:

White hair is because of my tendency to give MCs in games white hair when I play. I would've given him my natural hair color but that's not as interesting and I have enough redheaded ocs at the moment. Also my sona has light gray hair but Nyx has gray hair, so I just lightened it to like a bone white color. Dark brown eyes because my mum has dark brown eyes! she's also the reason I gave him a more olive skin undertone.

His haircut is literally. literally just mine right now. It is a grown out version of Ivan's haircut functionally (because I had Ivan's haircut earlier this year). His hair is very thick and prone to cowlicks and lately, I've been pinning back my cowlicks with a barrette so I added that to Kay's design, too.

Kay has sharp teeth because I have been told by my dentist (this is real btw, I'm not lying for the laughs or anything) that I have "abnormally sharp cuspids."

His talent is resistance to cold because I run very warm and by extension, I don't really have a problem with the cold. Unfortunately I overheat easily (which Kay does as well but that's more for a plot reason) so yknow! Evens out ig. Kay has a sleeveless uniform and no shoes due to the easily overheating thing btw.

I wear glasses and he would too but since his eyes have been modified I sincerely doubt that Adre would just leave that so um, his eyes have been fixed. No more astigmatism for you, gayboy.

Very rarely collared but that's a combination of his lack of disobedience and also plot reasons :)

honestly, all i can think about is the potential of azuresolei/soleiazure ever since @aurienneirua introduced to me to the idea cuz like think about it

they're opposites of eachother, in a way they are doomed, and they have the possible dynamic of 'im too far gone' x 'i want to save you' (actually maybe not cuz i dont remember if solei is part of a rebellion or not lol)

when I first read azure's whole philosophy I was so intrigued by it because it was the opposite to solei's whole thing. loving life and finding so much meaning in it that you do whatever it takes to survive x firmly believing in the quick inevitably of death and becoming apathetic to everything else because it seems like a waste. augh.

there are many other people in the garden just waiting to die (aurien, moran I believe? and some others) but the difference is that they still form connections, they still have something to make of their lives before they go. azure just straight up avoids it, only bothering when it can further his goals (im very intrigued to know what he's hiding beneath the surface. eventually)

I mentioned in a previous answered ask that if solei had the opportunity to, they'd try and save as many people as they could before graduation. even the ones who might have been content to just die. it seems that azure fits perfectly into that now. I can only imagine the kind of back and forth they would have.

in the future (after graduation) solei isn't actually in a rebellion/organization (at least not anymore) but they may or may not plan something in regards to the new season of alien stage....... the odds are stacked against them but they've decided it's better to try than to do nothing.

though I wonder if "I'm too far gone" is because azure's literally beyond saving or if that's just how he perceives himself? is there a part of him that secretly feels otherwise? we may never know.....
