The Jan Juc Studio is a new house and studio, conceived as a large deck beneath a canopy of eucalypts, the project is described as being marked by its simplicity of form and clarity of intent.

A veil of operable, permeable timber screens sheltering the spaces while admitting sea breezes and dappled light that shifts according to the time of day and position of the screen, the building is alive to the elemental qualities of the site.

With a sense of living on a platform among the bush, the house is experienced as a single space that can be separated into zones as needed, with function interpreted according to the task at hand. Creating a building that is intrinsically flexible and supports many modes of occupation.

The central core provides privacy and utility while allowing movement to circulate freely around the edge. The screens are simultaneously surface and aperture, encouraging engagement between building and inhabitation, transparency and animation are introduced, allowing the richer finish of the timber main structure and lining to become evident and light to gently radiate forth at night.

This is my preferred look for Green Arrow. I grew up seeing Batman: The Brave and The Bold, and this was the way Green Arrow looked on that show. Green Arrow just looks better like this, to me. Before Denny O'Neil sunk his teeth into him. Back when he was just a very fun hero, travelling around in his arrow car with his sidekick speedy. Speedy, who dennis o'neil used as a punching bag for his hamfisted drug story (which Stan Lee did first and probably better, by the way!). But I'll cut myself off before I get too angry at Denny O'Neil again. (Justice League of America #4):

Assigning random PJO characters book series from my childhood because I’m feeling nostalgic. These are all illogical and merely based on vibes (most of them probably wouldn’t enjoy reading that much because of dyslexia and ADHD… but eh)

Silena - Dork Diaries. Totally.

Chris - Diary of a wimpy kid. Say what you will about that damned book series, but I must honor my very brief interest in it somehow (sorry, Chris)

Annabeth - Warrior Cats! She would have loved it at 8 years old or so, and Luke would have managed to get them for her to read.

Piper - Those graphic novels by Raina Telgemeier I think, I loved them as a kid.
