I love when DC heroes just share codenames because it shows that the weird intensity about who can be Batman or Robin is just a them problem. Like there's 2 batgirls (technically 3 but I refuse to not call Babs Oracle). There are 2 Questions. Connor Hawke and Oliver Queen just agreed they could both be Green Arrow. There's multiple wonder girls right now. Jon and Clark and are superman at the moment, and Kenan is Super-man.

It's just really funny seeing all the intense beef between the guys in the bat family when it is 100% just a them problem.

WIP excerpt for skjia; "Jon gets cloned and is not okay about it". (( chrono || non-chrono ))

Jon wound up on Earth 3 when he was eleven, and two weeks or seven years later made it back home by . . . seventeen or eighteen, best he’d ever been able to work out. It’s been almost a year and a half since then, so now he’s–maybe nineteen, or twenty, or–probably nineteen or twenty. His fake ID says he’s twenty, because he’d needed to be at least eighteen, legally, because . . . because he’d needed a fake ID to have a civilian life, even if it’s not one he really gets to have. Really has the time to, or a place to, or the room to. 

“You are vastly underestimating Robin, my man,” Conner informs Kenan matter-of-factly. “Also, how much the average shitty dive bar actually cares past ‘does this dude have his wallet on him?’” 

“Are you trying to explain how to sneak into a bar to the kid already?” Kenan asks in obvious amusement. “You don’t think that might go poorly for us in the long run?” 

“Shit, good point, gotta wait on that kinda shit ‘til I figure out if this is a ‘new kid’ or a ‘new brother’ sitch,” Conner mutters, putting his hands on his hips and making a face at himself, and Kenan laughs again. Jon still doesn’t. Jon can’t imagine ever being able to laugh about anything about this situation. 

If the kid weren’t thirteen, being cloned would be–concerning, obviously. Dangerous, maybe. 

But he’s thirteen, and all else aside, that fact is the only thing that Jon can think about.
