Day 5 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Friday! 🙌🏽 I made it! So did you! I feel like we all deserve a pat on the back for getting here and working on ourselves in the process. I decided to reward myself with a ride in the Ferris-wheel at our local fair! (See above and below!) But first, I had to put in the work! So…
-I did a full body strength training routine with a dumbbell weight range of 8-12 lbs. Using a dynamic range of motion, I ran through compound exercises and add on static moves. No resistance bands this time. But, I did use the ankle weights for additional leg work.
-I capped off my week with a low-medium impact cardio HIIT routine. I put in 40 minutes, but put in additional minutes of stretching from all of the impact of the week.
Total calorie burn = 429 kcals 🎡
I did end the week on a strong note! 💪🏽 Time for a couple of rest days, some meal prep, and muscle recovery. 🫶🏽

Seeing myself in photos truly makes me want to die.
#I hate it. I put so much work into losing weight and keeping healthy and then?#I reacted SO badly to the forced vaccines and gained 50 pounds in 2 months despite exercising daily and eating under 1600 cals/day#And no matter what I do I haven’t been able to like. Shed the weight again#Seeing myself in photos other people took truly just has me going ‘holy FUCK’#And then I spiral.#I don’t know why but it messed up my hormones badly. I didn’t get a period for over six months#(INSANELY unusual for me as I have been regular like clockwork my entire life no matter my weight)#And then even once I started getting them again it took another two years for them to stabilise/get back to being like clockwork.#During that time no matter what or how much I exercise it’s just been a steady weight gain#Until I saw myself in a photo someone else took and yeah holy shit want to die I’m so fucking ugly it’s not even funny#text#chey.txt

which is worse, twilight or 50 shades of grey
Oh 100% 50 shades. I might have a bias given the twilight special interest, but I think even without my bias 50 shades is infinitely worse. It's literally like. twilight but without the vampires (and much hornier). like??? why would you not want the vampires!! if you're gonna write something horny vampires are so much fun for that
I will concede perhaps if you read 50 shades without having read twilight, it might fare better in your mind. but I have read twilight, and all I can see when reading 50 shades is how reliant it is on Twilight. It has the same characters (though some of them are a little switched/altered), but it also literally has the same plot.
In both, MC (Bella, Anastasia) meets a man who she's very attracted to (Edward, Christian) but is telling her to stay away from him, turns out he has a dark secret (is a vampire, is a sadist), they fall in love anyways. They break up after one book, leaving everyone shells of themselves until they get back together. They're being stalked by an unstable grieving individual who may hurt them (Victoria, Leila), MC is threatened to do something (come to a location, give money) because an individual important to them has been kidnapped (Renee, Mia). MC accidentally gets pregnant and Love Interest reacts poorly/isn't happy about it, but MC is fiercely protecting of unborn child.
I just. It's like when writing 50 shades EL James had a checklist of twilight plot points she was going through for her own novels. Which is like...yeah, you can do that, but the story doesn't stand on its own then. Like it's a little much at this point
And some of the qualities transferred over from one setting to another just...don't work the same. Like the post I made earlier about how Christian's anger and threats don't hit the same because he's literally just human. Yes, he's struggled with anger, but he's still human. Edward's a vampire. He can make much more important and impactful threats, and the threat of being near him is much more potent than being a sadist.
Anyway, point is I think, even taking into account my bias, that twilight's better. Because the characters and plot used in both were designed for Twilight. Everything fits and flows better, AND it's got vampires and werewolves. But this is only my opinion, so others may disagree :)

Oh my god could I stop being sick please? It's been two freaking months and I got shit to do!
#nasty bronchitis that ending up putting me in the hospital#I'm behind in doing real life things but also just so freakin tired#i wanna do dumb tumblr stuff#but i already have a post wrote up with links to all the info on shubble/wilbur situation so people don't have to look 50 different places#BUT I also don't wanna make every post I have time to make about... THAT#THAT'S DEPRESSING#but i said i would and I'm a person of my word so...#it's been over a month since I've been able to make a sound#you'd be surprised how bad it is sensory and emotion wise to not be able to laugh or make sounds when you cry or groan in frustration#I'm in PT too because I was so weak by the time I got in the hospital that I couldn't stand#was literally coughing so hard and so constantly that I couldn't keep down food#lost about 25 lbs in 3 weeks according to the doctors (I'm overweight but that is still a LOT for anybody that's not exercising to lose)#going to push myself today because my hair has gotten so thick and long that it's causing too many sensory issues#also a bit of gender dysphoria just to keep it interesting#the person who cuts my hair is aware of how sickly I am and is having me come in when she hasn't been doing a hair treatment before me#still there's a risk of an asthma attack or just collapsing from the short walk#literally do not care#my hair is thick and hot and too long#let me be an androgynous gremlin!#also my cat says hi (he is slapping my phone like No phone love me NOW!!! Hey y’all! It’s finally Fall for NorCal. Crisp 53F mornings.
My friend convinced me to do StepBet. I really do not like games like that but I agreed because I needed to resume a daily run routine and I wanted to support her. I’ve been at it for 2 weeks. She dropped out day 4. 🙄
My anxiety has been off the charts with my job. Understaffed so I’m picking up all the extra work for the entire team. No relief in sight before mid Spring. I’d make a lateral move but the grass is not always greener. So I guess more running will have to do.
Hall🎃ween is almost here. Time to kick off the holidays. I’m traveling in November and December. I’m finally going back to Europe after 4 years.
Keep going, Bunnies. It feels heavy now but we will persevere. Find joy in the little things. Eat the warm bread. Listen to the wind. Smell the rain. Feel the cool morning fog. Watch people and their pets from a cafe. Drink coffee while the sun comes up. Rest your mind and soul often. You deserve it.

Day 4 of 5 day workout week:
Happy Thursday! Fajita night around these parts! 😋 I was feeling pretty energetic, so kickboxing was on deck!
-I got in a full 50 minutes of high intensity cardio kickboxing with weighted gloves. I also hit the jump-rope for a few rounds! I finished up with weighted ab/core and a stretch on the mat.
Total calorie burn = 398 kcals 🥳
I’m feeling like wrapping the week up on a strong note! Bring on Friday! 🙌🏽💪🏽

im aware that this is just like,,,the nature of food. but it’s kind of galling when something takes 5+ hours to make and the family member who had the least to do with its creation eats seventy five percent of it in fifteen minutes
#this is about my father eating like 35/50 of the pot stickers my sister spent all day cooking (there are four people in our family)#but it’s also about my father eating approximately the same proportion of the peirogis we make on Christmas Eve#(we being my mother sister and i while my father plays video games)#and also how my mother made him dinner and made me a separate thing i like very much the other night and he ate both#pretty much every day i eat five potato chips for breakfast and then like fifteen more for dinner lol#that’s fine no need to get fat over the summer#im buying a bathing suit from an asian company so i want it to fit my large American body lol#i wouldn’t want to have sons for many reasons but one being that men eat too much and it’s gross#And no men you don’t really need to eat that much sorry you’re not Michael Phelps and being male doesn’t mean you automatically need 4x#more calories than the average woman. It’s like maybe a little more than 2x + whatever’s needed when exercise is factored in#(Like 1200-1400 vs 2500-2800 i think)#If I had a husband and more than one male child I would need to make an honestly insane amount of food and then still not get to eat anythi#because it doesn’t matter how much you make. my mom makes a lot of food. If there’s still dinner and it’s something my father likes#he will just take all of it. I can’t imagine if there were other men in our family I think my sister and I would have starved to death lol
