More things about the mfb x fe AU but it’s about archertype and class, and maybe troupe for the character lol. Kinda in FE mood. This army has no tactician unless you recruits Tsubasa. This army is cooked
Gingka: the MC type class. He went from Fighter -> Winged Lord. You’re gonna love his armor/Calvary piercing sword lmao
Kyouya: MC. Lord type class. He went from Lord -> Armor Lord. The angst lord archetype
Madoka: Healer. She also responsible for the convoy
Kenta: Beginner archer archetype. So sorry Kenta 😔 but hey Echoes archer class is good, so he’s gonna be bow knight with killer bow and curved shot lol
Benkei: Beginner Knight. He’s gone be the main tank archetype. Knight-Axe fighter
OTA: The Warriors. The ones with Triangle Attack
Sora: Your first horse unit beside Gingka, but he’s the trainee unit. Can either be flying horse or normal horse on promotion
Hikaru: Myrmidon. She’s gonna be your dodge tank
Masamune and King: They’re gonna be another horse units that somehow works better as any other class but horse. Cain and Abels archetype. Toby and Zeo are cooked in this AU
Yuu: Est archetype. He’s recruitable on the chapter where you encounter Tsubasa that, if you screw up, is gonna be the last time you see either of them. Mage. He gonna wreck the battlefield
Tsubasa: Was gonna make him as Camus and “trap” archertype. Ppl have sexual awakening around him. But eh kinda waver on making him a Lorenz archetype too. Sometimes needs a break from certain chapters because of his wounds. Griffinknight-Assassin
Yuki: Beginning mage archetype, also healer
Toru: Your one and only dancer
Watarigani: The only early thief recruitable unit archetype. You’re gonna need him. Also sometime some small amount of gold goes missing lol
Ryuutaro: Mage that either going to be stupidly busted or have u go malding as his atk stat won’t rise no matter how high
Captain Capri: Sniper that you can either recruit or kill him for a pair of boots. I know what you’re gonna choose you monster
Chris: Originally was gonna make him the Camus archetype but eh, Lorenz archetype. He’s gonna be the over level bitch who chase after your ass until a certain event where you can recruit him. Hero
Aguma: General. The second heavy tank of the army
Dunamis: Gotoh archetype. You gonna need to beat his ass into recruiting him. White sage
Tithy: Your first and main manakete as well as child soldier but eh she the third one in this she ain’t special . Tiki archetype
Phoenix: Ah yes. Your dad from an alternate reality. Kinshi Knight
Ryuuto: The secondary Manakete you can recruit if too many have died
Ryuuga: End game as well as your third and final Manakete. 90% Atk growth, insane base stats, busted asf. Only recruitable if you use either Gingka/Yuu/Tsubasa/Kenta to talk to him 3 times and then using him to kill the boss of his chapter. Gingka cuz MC of course, Yuu and Tsubasa cuz they’re used to be his retainer. Kenta because in this he used to live inside Ryuuga’s empire and was helped by him once (1) before the whole “Ryuuga got corrupted by dark gem and lost his mind”
Non recruitable cuz he’s the super final end game big bad boss, but Rage is a giant Fell Dragon
That’s all I can remember for now

the most romantic thing about the solas romance is how much love there is for lavellan in the act of breaking up with her.
solas breaks up with lavellan because it is objectively what is best for her. not because it's what he wants. not because his mission is just more important than she is. because he loves her.
it is in lavellan's best interests that she know who she falls in love with and has agency in that decision. solas breaks up with her because he is not entirely truthful about who he is. she can't make an informed choice about being with him without the truth. and because solas isn't ready to tell her the truth, he backs off.
whether we like it or not, fen'harel is part of who solas is, even if solas is part of his genuine character, the face he shows us in DAI is not all of him.
what is so sexy about solas showing his love for her in this way is he sees the clear power imbalance between them (him with all his secrets), and he chooses her well being over his desires, he puts the power back in her hands - by breaking up with her. he says, "it isn't right of me to continue with this when you don't actually know me". only his reveal in trespasser opens the door for her to accept him, or deny him.
ultimately, it is up to lavellan to decide what is in her best interests. does she accept solas, now knowing the truth, or does she say "wow yeah i actually can't live with that" and walk away?

When entering any place of business, such as a store or restaurant, if a staff member greets you, then acknowledge them and greet them back.
Although for many jobs it's a required part of their job to greet you, especially retail workers, receptionists, and restaurant workers to name a few, that doesn't make it feel any less dehumanizing to say "Hello!" to another human being only for them to ignore you. Acknowledging staff members and greeting them back is important for acknowledging their humanity, they are, after all, a human being, and not an automated machine.
This is also important when going to check out at a store. If you approach the cash register, and the cashier greets you, you should acknowledge them and greet them back. Cashiers already have to deal with being dehumanized enough. The least you can do is help humanize them by acknowledging them when they greet you and speak to you.

to me, the most fascinating (and utterly unintentional) feature of TAZ Balance's narrative structure is the way that on the first listen, Tres Horny Boys are the audience surrogates because they, much like us, have no idea what the fuck is going on, but on all subsequent relistens, then Lucretia, and sometimes Barry, and arguably especially Lup in the umbrella become the new audience stand-ins, because just like us, they are, in fact, painfully aware of what the fuck is going on :)

Danny Phantom was not used to fighting magic users. Ghosts, yes. But humans with powers? No.
So when a cult managed to successfully summon and bind him, he lacked the knowledge of how to stop them.
And they tore him apart.
His core was broken into pieces, each one then implanted into one of the most loyal cult members (or potentially sold off to another person to use…) to grant them a portion of Phantom’s many powers.
However, the cult didn’t entirely know what they were doing either. You see, it turns out that shattering Danny’s core in that manner didn’t truly end him. His soul still persisted, still refused to die even as it was trapped amongst the disparate shards. Though each individual piece lacked the strength of mind or power to affect their hosts, they would gradually forge themselves together anew should they ever be gathered back together.
And after Red Hood killed several of the cult’s members, that process began. Their shards, now freed, transferred to the vigilante, instinctively latching onto his proto-core. Though still not yet whole enough to form a truly conscious fragment of Danny, they are enough to start to nudge Hood in the right direction (bolstered in effectiveness by Jason’s connection to death)
Jason can feel it deep within his soul. There’s something more to this cult’s powers than just normal magic, and he has a growing need to find out what that is. To stop them. To burn them all down and dig their secrets from the ashes.

how genderbending the warriors (2024) is done not for the sole sake of "bad-assery"
okay here we go feminist ramble time for our newest chick on the block: warriors. now i'll be honest, prior to listening to the album, when i first heard that the warriors main girls were originally dudes in the movie and the novel, i thought that the decision for the genderbending, in lmm's perspective, were from the following: 1.) girl power move in like a very basic meaning of the word "bad-ass" 2.) simply a twist on a cult movie about big gang bros loved by the film bros, and 3.) a way to have the schuyler sisters back together gjfkdfldf
but when i read more about warriors and its development and how lmm took inspiration from the gamergate controversies of 2014-2015 aka among the peak of gamerbro misogyny campaigns, that's when i realized that Oh Shit Is Serious - because adapting a story about a group being framed and targeted and harassed for something they are accused of doing without any substantial proof other than a man screaming "THE WARRIORS SHOT CYYYYRUUS" with 21st century misogyny campaigns in mind makes the theme of fighting back a lot more complicated and a lot more resonant, going beyond just marketing a cast you can call "badass"
take the hurricanes' quiet girls, for example. the hurricanes (concept album version) is the only gang that lets the warriors off the hook and with a stern warning: quiet girls don't make it home. here, the hurricanes berate the warriors for not saying shit or attempting to defend themselves from accusations they know well aren't true. THIS MESSAGE IN PARTICULAR is what stays and influences ajax, fox, and swan til the very end of their stories.
literally one song after this does ajax show how easily she resonated with the hurricanes' lesson by finally sticking with her gut and actually choosing to fight back against both the baseball furies AND against the sleazy undercover cop. the latter encounter is one of the instances that really solidifies the recontextualization of the story because in the OG movie, ajax (a dude) WAS the sleazy fuck up harassing a woman in a park - and now with the literal character switch, ajax goes from being just a rebellious gangbro dude bro into someone whose want to fight is warranted. such a want to fight is seen in fox seeing as fox is the first to comment on the quiet girls scene and that, in the concept album, she is the one that instigates the rumble against the police in union square - saying that she is sick of being afraid of them and their 'fuckin powder blue' colors (also notice how she is the only warrior that really does say fuck the cops i think that's cool BUT I'LL TALK ABOUT FOX MORE NEXT TIME)
to a less obvious extent, swan also gets the receiving end of this recurring theme - by the album's finale, the usually violence-averse caution-first interim leader becomes a lot fiercer in protecting her crew. but perhaps among what i consider to be the biggest recontextualized change in the feminist sense is MERCY and her motivations to join the warriors in the first place. according to the wiki, her attraction to swan and the warriors and um seeing the orphans as wimps is what led her to switch sides BUT IN THE CONCEPT ALBUM, mercy's motivation to become a warrior is deepened, rooted in admiration rather than attraction - wanting to be like those women who hold their head up high. and again, we see this in Sick of Runnin' when she takes part in the rumble, finding her bravery within their ranks as they fight back. here, mercy becomes less of a swan tagalong and more of someone that wants what the warriors have: pride.
of course now that i type this out i realize that warriors is not based solely on the feminist rhetoric as with their theme of hope amidst adversity, the story is more intersectional and rooted in community struggle and wanting for more than that. but nonetheless, i genuinely believe that the twt filmbros arguments on why the genders should not have been changed in the first place just for "woke" points is kinda like,,,very shortsighted because not only does the narrative of women narrowly escaping unwarranted accusations actually fucking fit, but the act of learning to fight back amidst all odds - be it that of disbelieving, predatory men or the power of oppressive pigs - stays resonant for women yesterday, today, and the days to come.
ultimately, warriors (2024) is not solely a tale of female badassery - rather, it is a tale of the need for such "female badassery" in the face of past and present realities, which is why it somehow fucking worked.

Call me homophobic, but I don't actually think it's great representation to stick a complex, dynamic, newly-realized bisexual character permanently with a flat, boring, underdeveloped love interest just because that was the first guy who showed interest.

some of you may have already seen a preview of this guy, but here he is!
this is Eddie! my Eclipse OC, who i've been brainrotting about lately

He fell in love with another performer, who shared his dream of having a big family some day. but as a robot and a human, they didn't believe it was possible for them. His love eventually left the show to elope with another man—a human man. Years later, they reunite, but she is alone and pregnant. Due to complications during childbirth, his love passes away, leaving behind her twin infants, whom she named Solomon and Lunete. After that, Eddie decides to retire from the stage to raise the twins.
