"Absolutely not. Do not touch us. Do not touch him."

Bruce hadn't meant to snap so hard, his own words sounding almost venomous as he told the officer off, pushing the man's hand away. He could feel everyone's eyes on them. On him and the boy. Poor innocent Bruce Wayne Dick Grayson, heir to the Wayne fortune youngest of the Flying Graysons, lost his parents one cold rainy night to a mugging gone wrong to a performance gone wrong, gang involvement tearing apart another family. As Bruce held the young boy closer to his chest, he refused to let any of the cameras catch a glimpse of the crying child, his coat wrapped around Dicks body and face, the warm wool interior protecting him from the horrible reality he would eventually have to face.

Bruce shifted away from the police that kept trying to pester Dick for a statement, outright demanding they leave the boy to grieve. His arms wrapped tighter around Dick, feeling the heaving sobs the child let out against his shoulder becoming worse and worse as the sirens and flashes and voices grew louder, more desperate for answers and a story than the mental wellbeing of a child who just lost his parents. Looking up, Bruce caught Alfred glaze, pleading for the older man to take them home instead of letting the child end up as he had.

When this had all happened to Bruce, Alfred hadn't been there fast enough. He just wasn't there in time to protect Bruce the way Bruce was trying so hard to protect Dick.

He remembers being alone and afraid. He remembers having photos taken of him while he cried over his parents' bodies. He remembers begging for help, only to receive no aid from anyone. And Bruce absolutely will not let another child feel as hopeless as he had that night. He swears on his own life that no child would ever be subjected to that again.

Okay imagine Bruce Wayne, and he's trans and gets pregnant. Everyone doesn't know except for his bat children and Alfred. And he's afraid of losing the baby that he immediately gets every bat kid he has and they must stay in house for until he gives birth. Or at least until he's assured that he's not going to be losing another baby.

I got worried at first assuming he had miscarriages before bc ya know the fighting as Bats but then I remembered every fucking batkid has died and shit.

And now I'm wondering who's the baby daddy and I wanna assume trans girl Selina or maybe Clark either one is fun to think about.

But yeah Bruce is put on bed rest when he's maybe 2 months along due to health concerns, as was Martha. Each bat kid stays in the manor out of overprotectiveness, Jason stays vigilant surprisingly. Jason is his dad's bodyguard and very much plays music for the fetus to hear.

Damien maybe was angry at first, but drops it bc he knew eventually maybe his father would have his own child himself and not just DNA stolen like Talia had done so.

So just as Bruce needs all his children in the manor, each one are overprotective of him as well. Getting him his food, making sure to pass by his room after a patrol and such

I know that Bruce having the Brucie persona is like a whole thing, but I kinda wanna see... A Bruce that comes back from his training, spends a year or two building the promiscuous playboy routine, only for Dick to show up and Brice gives it all up to basically become a soccer mom. Like, one day, Bruce is playboying it up, taking a date to the circus, only for tragedy to strike, and Bruce abandons his date to shield the little boys eyes. Then Bruce is gone for a week, no sightings at all, as rumor spreads he's adopted that boy. And when he finally shows up at a fundraiser gala, he's twitchy and nervous. And someone asks, and even if he's Batman, Bruce can't help but let it spill that, "oh, Dickie didn't want to come, but I've never left him for this long before, and Alfred said he'd call if Dickie asked for me, but it's been an hour since I left, and I haven't heard anything, and what if something's wrong?!"

And people are blinking, confused. They've never seen smooth talking playboy Brucie Wayne like this before. Someone offers him a drink, and he turns it down, because what if he has to drive home quickly?! What if little Dick Grayson gets scared in that big house, and he wants Bruce to come home?! He can't drink, are you crazy?! So someone tries seduction, asks if they can "give Bruce a distraction", only for Bruce to zero in on that person, and whip out a plethora of pictures, all of Dick, and start talking nonstop about how amazing his boy is, and how cute he is, he's 9 and an acrobat, and he's just so talented!

And then, for the rest of the time Bruce is there, he's bouncing between guests, and from a distance it seems normal. He's in peoples bubbles, he's smiling, and looks like he's flirting. But get a little closer and you hear him just cooing about his new sweet baby boy. And it doesn't matter that Dick is already 9 or that Bruce has only had him for a week, if anything happened to his baby, he would just die!

And eventually, Bruce leaves, and people expect that, when the 'new mom' energy leaves him, Bruce will go back to his promiscuous ways. But it never happens. Bruce still acts like an idiot most of the time, but now instead of "idiot with only sex on his mind" he's an "idiot that can't stop talking about his kid". And it's only kind of an act now. Bruce enjoys talking about Dick, and he loves spoiling his son. But sometimes he's just at a regular gala, and an old flame tries to flirt, and it goes right over Bruce's head and he ends up showing off pictures of Dick instead. In the following years, only one person (Talia) manages to get in Bruce's pants in the years that follow Dick's adoption, and she only manages because she pretends to be a maternal figure just as proud of Dick as Bruce is, and Bruce gets distracted enough by someone else acknowledging Dick that he falls for it. After that, Dick becomes kind of protective, and keeps butting in when people are flirting with Bruce in public, and Bruce never dates anyone Dick doesn't approve of.

But their relationship isn't perfect. Dick is still Robin, and Bruce is still Batman. They have a good relationship, but as Dick gets older, Bruce continues to be protective. Maybe even too protective. Batman takes hits for Robin that he doesn't need to. He makes plans that put Robin in the least amount of danger, even if it makes the plan actually bad. He's more anxious when Robin gets hurt, and tries to bench Robin for the smallest of injuries. Bruce and Dick have a falling out still, because Dick is 18, and he can handle these things on his own, and he needs space to grow on his own now. But Bruce just can't help but be a helicopter parent, especially when in costume. So Dick leaves, tells Bruce not to follow, and he disappears for a few months. And Bruce, who's so used to having a kid to love and coddle, is lost for a while.

Until he finds Jason Todd stealing the tires off the Batmobile.

Medieval/fairytale au with arranged marriage trope where princess!reader is made to marry prince!Bruce Wayne but she's secretly in love with the dark knight (he's literally a knight in this) and Bruce is just like "how do I tell her I'm the one she's been talking to all along? I lover her but do I trust her enough to tell her my secret?" And reader is like "how do I tell my lover that I am now engaged? Should I keep the affair going? Should I break things off with him? Will I learn to like my fiancé? Who even is my fiancé that I have never met before?" And it's like a ladybug-marinette sorta situation where the mask makes the ship dynamic variate so much. I'm 100% sure this has been done before but I wanted to say it.

I’m a simple gal I see GOT au and DC and I come RUNNING!!!! I’ve tried developing my own DC x GoT au and id love to hear more if you want to share!!!

I have a few ideas floating around my head for some of the batfam characters, nothing too concrete tho.

I imagine Bruce to be a lord of the north (mainly because I feel like the north fits gotham and the atmosphere the best. Something about all the dark clothing just fits the grim vibes) although I got a good comment talking about his no kill rule! So perhaps he could be like all edgy no kill because of his parents being dead. Alfred is an ex knight for the throne , also friends with his father that became his personal guard , and after Bruce s parents were murdered, chose to take care and raise Bruce in the North.

Dick's family was part of a travelling performers group travelling around Westeros. Bruce happened to pass by and notice one of their shows, I imagine his parents being killed or something just like Bruce's, then Bruce starts his orphan adopting hobby and takes Dick in.

Jason's father was part of a thief gang to try to provide a better life for his family. This works for a while until they get caught and imprisoned/ killed by whoever busts then/ something. Catherine Todd dies or an illness. Jason is left fending for his own, starts pickpocketing. Bruce finds him while he's trying to steal something packed on his horse and ends up adopting him. Still working on his death/ resurrection (I feel like they're a big part of his character and I want to add that)

Tim's parents were merchants. Possibly knew Bruce . Tim was a secret dick fanboy because of his traveling performer era (thought he was really cool and badass). Some more death and adoption.

I haven't fully thought about Damian s backstory yet and the relationship between Talia and Bruce, since I like the idea of them being from Essos , but that's what i have for him so far. Speaking high Valyrian and some other languages, accent while speaking in English ✨

Batman AU where Bruce's parents survive and he ends up being a psychiatrist (after seeing many to recover from the trauma of his parents being shot in front of him) with a passion for improving infrastructure in Gotham because of all the things that went wrong and almost killed his parents that night.

He can't clean the police but he can find good people to do psych evals and push for them to be More frequent.

He can't adopt every kid he sees but he can make sure there are safe homes for them and register as a foster parent so he can take care of kids who need extra help.

Like the girl who can't speak. And the neglected child next door. The traumatized son of murdered acrobats, and that one fiery kid who tried to steal his tires.

He gets all his kids, some just temporarily.

He still has Damian because he known for being brilliant in the field of psychology but also as someone with great economic and social influence who isn't a politician but Gotham might as well be his kingdom with the way he runs it.

He's also still in fighting shape.

Maybe not as much as most Bruce Waynes but in a world where Alfred pennyworth didn't have to raise Bruce Wayne he became sort of a fun honorary uncle (who was maybe dating his parents) even after he quit being a butler. And as Bruce Waynes fun uncle he taught Bruce all his special forces moves in the hopes of helping a scared little boy feel a little safer and more able to defend himself. This of course sparked a lifelong love of martial arts.

In this world Bruce is a doting parent, a powerful social influencer, a leader in philanthropy and vocationally, a psychiatrist.

Though most of his time is not spent with patients. He teaches workshops. So many. Mental wellness, aiding people with mental illnesses, helping your child cope with trauma.

He teaches several workshops that are mandatory for Gotham police and some that are highly sought after by social workers. Hes also a popular guest professor at GU.

Aside from teaching he has helped create, revamp, and strengthen Gotham city's publicly available mental health resources like clinics, support groups etc. But his most impressive work is the one day each week he spends treating the patients at Arkham Mental Health Hospital and Rehabilitation Center (formerly Arkham Asylum).

Anyway. This Bruce Wayne accidentally falls into another universe, finds out about all the Batman. And starts dedicating one day a month to being a therapist and mental health educator to that Batman and one or two weeks every few months to going to other universes and trying to see if he can add other batmen as patients.

"Who better to help you with this than a you who is internationally renowned in this field. I might not be Batman but i am you and i went to college for 10 years on this exact subject so I'm objectively better informed in this than you while also being one of the only people you can trust to help you. "

Batman gives each of his Robins a different code to use when they’re in trouble and need immediate extraction. He promises that when they call, he’ll drop everything just to get to them, come hell or high water.

Jason, during his time with the League, shares his code with Damian, to be used “only in the direst of circumstances, when you have exhausted all other options.” He doesn’t know if Bruce will answer, given how fractured their relationship was before he died, but it is better than nothing. Every tool counts when they live such dangerous lives.

Damian uses it exactly once, and Bruce, who still feels the loss of his son like a yawning chasm in his chest, responds to it even though he knows it can’t be Jason because Jason’s dead. What he finds, instead of Jason, is a boy in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-small feet, with a face that Bruce sees himself and Talia in, requesting asylum from a grandfather who wishes to possess his body. Bruce doesn’t question how this boy who is so clearly his son knew the code. Talia al Ghul is resourceful and places family above all; the code is not beyond her abilities to discover, and she is not above using Bruce’s desperate love for his dead son to ensure that hers does not meet the same fate.

Bruce takes Damian in, because of course he does, and since Jason is dead he allows Damian to keep using the code. After all, it’s not like Jason is alive to use it, right? If someone uses the code, there’s no one it could be but Damian, right?

The next time the code is used, Bruce traces the location to Gotham even though Damian was supposed to be in Bludhaven visiting Dick. But whatever happened that resulted in Damian being in Gotham can wait, because he has already failed one son and he will not fail another, his son is in trouble and he needs to get to him, he needs to—

What he finds, instead of Damian, is a boy (just eighteen, too young, but also too old, but also he will always be a boy to him) in League garbs, drenched in blood from the tips of his midnight-black hair to his too-large feet (when had he gotten so big), wearing the face of his dead son.

(Who, maybe, just maybe, may no longer be so dead.)

Okay so the Justice League thinking Shazam is Batmans son is great. But hear me out:

The Justice League thinks Billy is Batman and Superman's clone son the way Connor is Superman and Lex Luthors son.

They find out Shazam is just a kid and they're like "hm wow he looks a lot like a young superman... shares a lot of powers..." then Batman/Bruce adopts him officially and they're like "is.. is this a ploy for them to admit to having a son together without telling anyone???"

Canonically Clark does care a lot about Billy and he would be a great co-parent with Bruce hehe

I didn't even have time to develop it besides a few ideas like Dick's parents being part of a travelling performers group (circus alternative ;P) that died on Bruce s domain, Tim's parents being merchants importing and exporting stuff and Ra's al Ghul being from Essos! Also Damian speaking high Valyrian.

Also a few different ideas of Clarky and how he'd fit into the whole thing. I don't know anyone thats into both DC and GoT so I can't bounce ideas back and forth with anyone TT

It’s always “evil Superman!!!!” this, or “villain justice league!!!” that.

I want an AU of villain! Bruce who’s absolutely dog-shit at being evil.

Firstly: The worst thing he can think of doing is not donating to animal shelters or charities . immediately feels so guilty he throws up.

Secondly: The second a child cries because of him, he’d freeze up. Stand like a statue, unmoving and petrified. No more evil, but just today.

He ends up helping the city by accident more often than not, and to his immortal disappointment, Gotham loves both the Bat and Bruce Wayne.

“Yes, sir, “ Alfred is very indulgent. He does his best to pretend it’s actually good. “ ‘Don’t say please to the barista’. Getting bold, are we?”

EVERYTIME He and Clark meet and Bruce monologues about pulverizing him to dust, Clark (and the League) looks at him like this:

“I can make him worse,” GOOD FOR YOU!!! Clark can make him into his malewife and adopt his 7 evil sidekicks who actually know how to villain. Especially the little one.
