I cry everyday because WFA doesn't give us any Bernard despite the WFA comic audience probably being more receptive of him. The current plot in it frustrated me so much cause like why do we get scenes in Tim's apartment and Bernard never shows up?! It could've been hilarious with Tim trying to hide Damis pets from Bear! And then Bear could've been like Tim's apartment version of Alfred and made everyone cookies! What are the WFA writers doing?!?!

They SISTER CODED Steph and Cass, they are actually having CASS consider KILLING, I honestly don't want them touching TimBern with a fifty foot POLL because they'd somehow brother code, friend code, and kill them both.

Like, I loved the first two seasons of the comic, but now they're attempting to UNDERSTAND CHARACTERS THEY NEVER COULD UNDERSTAND TO BEGIN WITH!? But I also hear you because HOW do you exclude Bernard from EVERY MEDIA!!!??? I wish season three was like the first two seasons and I wish we got a lot more TimBern, I wish Bernard was at least mentioned, but alas DC comics are to afraid now to be what comics are, PROPAGANDA AGAINST SOCIETIES EXPECTATIONS AND THE GOVERNMENT! Which is really sad, because I feel like comic book writers from the 60 maybe 70-ish to 90's would've loved having more freedom to make female characters and queer representation.

I'm no history buff, but I know comics have always been woke and now it's like they're borderline afraid to be??? Tim and Bernard deserve more and better, I hate that it's seen as forced or boring and not compatible because Tim Drake: Robin was cancelled, nobody ever really gave it a chance it feels like. Cass and Steph should've kissed by now, I'm sick of this forced sister relationship the writers are trying to push on them. I'm sick of Bruce being abusive or a sweet Dad, like the writers nor fandom can comprehend what a complex character is anymore. Also, Kory and Dick should've been married, and I'm tired of pretending like they shouldn't be.

When I say if I had the motivation to binge read hundreds of comics and write a fic that completely rewrote Batman from start to finish I mean I wish I had the free time because I WOULD BECAUSE UGH I LOVE THE CHARACTER'S AND STORY BUT THE WRITERS CAN LITERALLY EAT BRICKS!!!

Thinking about that series on TikTok where canon batfamily characters meet their fanon counterparts and I think all canon characters would have a sort of disdain to borderline hate for their fanon versions EXCEPT BRUCE. Canon Bruce would be seething with jealousy

I know we as a fandom don’t talk enough about the Batkids acknowledging how old Bruce is getting, but something I think we talk about EVEN LESS is the Batkids acknowledging Dick getting older.

Like Dick is pushing 30 in canon at this point, and realistically cannot do the same things he was doing as a kid. There is a reason a lot of athletes retire young, and Dick’s life has been brutal on his body, so eventually it’ll catch up with him.

Imagine if you will some random new JL/Titans recruit meeting Nightwing and asking “Is it true you can do a quadruple somersault?”

And Dick has to wince and say “I used to, but not anymore.”

Imagine the Batkids hearing that? Imagine everyone who saw him grow up hearing Dick acknowledge he is getting older and can’t do the same things he did in his youth. Imagine how they feel about their own age. Imagine the grief Dick must feel at knowing he’s losing the gifts his parents bestowed upon him, and the fact he’s out-aged them both.

Imagine Bruce painfully acknowledge (in his head because it’s illegal for him to emote aloud) that not only is he getting older, but his first child, his SON, is now the same age he was when Bruce took Dick in.

Imagine Dick picking the smaller option out on ice cream trips because his body can’t handle sugar the way it used to, or eating less in general because his metabolism has slowed down.

Imagine the Batkids sparring and Dick has to tap out because he can’t keep up with them all for as long anymore. Like he can’t keep still do a lot, and handle himself in a fight, but he is not showing off with flips the same way he used to.

Imagine the day one of the Batkids spots gray hair on Dick’s head, or realize that the lines on his face are just a little deeper than they used to be?

Babs keeps calling him the Boy Wonder as a private joke, but the boyish charm that Dick once had has since faded. He’s a grown man, and while at heart he still is the kid that brought light back to Gotham, his outside reflects the life they’ve lived and shared together, which didn’t just pass by in the blink of an eye.

And Jason pretends he doesn’t care, but realizes that Dick isn’t the same 16-year old kid that Bruce put on a pedestal. That he, out of all their siblings, saw Dick the most when he was in his prime, and that his older brother is just a little more fragile than he used to be.

And Tim thinks back to the days of him stalking Batman and Robin before, pulling out those old photos and realizing just how much Dick has aged. When did that happen, he wonders, and how much more will Dick change as he gets older?

Cass, Steph, and Duke acknowledge that Dick Grayson grew up, and left behind a legacy for them to fill, but they’ll always wonder what he was like when he was younger, and wonder how much longer he’ll be around. Bruce has been doing this vigilante schtick for 20+ years, but will Dick still be doing this when he’s Bruce’s age?

Damian takes it the hardest. He can’t look at Dick without thinking of him as the same Grayson who was his Batman, but the truth is, he’s not the same. His old portraits of Dick bear witness to that, with each one just a little different because time is not frozen to Dick the way it is with Ra’s and Talia. Damian privately grieves everyone he comes to care about in advance because death has surrounded him his whole life and eventually despite Dick’s promises that he’ll always be there for Damian, a day is coming when that promise will be broken.

But yeah. Older Dick Grayson. I have thoughts on this.

Alternatively, depending on your mood, you can end the sentence in either a "!" To show excitement or anger, and "?" To be like "what the f#&% is this dude on about?"

Anywho, I am not sure what specifically this is directed at, or why you're so pressed over the fact I'm calling out the writers on their bull of forcing Steph and Tim alongside Steph and Cass into the sibling box instead of acknowledging the romance that happened between Steph and Tim and how it affected both of them as characters, same with Stephanie and Cass. I'm not even a die hard StephCass shipper, but I can still be mad that WFA continues to fail the entire third season by mischaracterizing everyone, but especially Cass to an offensive point and calling Steph and Cass sisters despite them not sharing, being raised by, nor being adopted by the same person or people.

Stephanie is NOT her family.

I could care less if the ship becomes canon or is canon, my problem is the family dynamics that DC cannot ever acknowledge but they also wanna shove the "sibling" label onto characters who AREN'T related by law or blood. Siblings? Tim, Jason, Dick, Damian, Cass. All adopted legally by the same man at one point or another. They are siblings, Duke isn't included because he was never adopted by Bruce nor does he live with him in the main continuity. Steph and Cass? They are not siblings and it's ridiculous to consider them as such when it's acknowledged (panel above) that they AREN'T. What they are doesn't really have a name and it doesn't need one, but hey, go off and defend a comic series to ME, A CONSUMER OF SAID SERIES, WHO READS THE NEW PART EVERY THURSDAY MORNING, without realizing or acknowledging a single point I am trying to make.

Now, apologies if this was to passive aggressive or if it was to many words for you, but I have been caring for seven children and my mentally disabled Mother while my own health issues flare up as I chug down my seventh coffee in hopes of making it thirty minutes through the second season of Bluey with a toddler and another child with ADHD while cooking four different pizzas to feed a family of ten. I sat down to scarf down a meal that's gonna make me sick in less then ten minutes from now, and I find you misgendering me and insulting me in my own space because you're to hurt to find the block button, instead choosing to anonymously insult a stranger on the internet over a literal splice of life comic series about group of superheroes.
