the most IMPORTANT tmmn alien lore from the new ep was the earrings. no not the story behind them or the power. the SHAPE. look at the shape of the clasp. look at the placement on the ears.
the aliens don't have earlobes. or at least not ones that are pronounced enough to notice or commonly pierce? (I mean, cartilage CAN be pierced obviously, but it's a bit more painful than lobe piercings, and considering these were at the lil vendor booth, I assume they're the popular style?)
...they use clip ons. the aliens use clip ons!!! that are clipped around the lower/middle part of the ear!! not the bottom! so these earrings are actualllllly: ear CUFFS!!! which are an actual thing that exist you can get. it makes perfect sense for the aliens to use these, because they're meant to wrap around the cartilage of your ear without needing an actual piercing, and their ear faces down, rather than sideways like our Human Ears do! so! they'll stay on easier with just a cuff!!

I was scanning the names to see#if our guide who lives there and his family survived)#about my skin condition which is daily growing so much worse and causing me to lose a lot of hair#also I am so tired thanks to the cricket and other things#BUT I poured it out to Him in worship today#and then!!! got to watch a dear friend become a member#had great conversations at lunch about things I love#(including Desdichado :)#AND God guided my mind to verses that help AND we had a truly fantastic hymn sing#good songs picked - so many of my favorites - and so much enthusiasm and everyone doing parts!!#so yeah ❤️#the heavy things are still with me but you know what I’m not the only one carrying them

#our promotion 😢😢#1st place is gone#today was tough our opponents were all way better than us#we only won 1 match out of 6#now they're leading our league well we should at least win our last matchday and get 2nd place#the no1 seed was in another league from ours 6:0 6:0 altough she's quite a good player at our club#we only won one doubles match altough they were not as good by far as their other players#and all the matches were quite one sided they were also way higher rated than us#i also lost my match 😫 altough it was quite close actually but that is even worse sometimes idk#i certainly could have won idk why i didn't i mean there were not many chances but they were there#i lost 5:7 4:6 ugh 😭#maybe with a better serve i would have won#but i was 5:4 up and i didn't win that point like that's when you have to be there and make it#i think this might just be one of my weaknesses i'm really good at conebacks and believing in that i'll win but i have to be more effective#and 'cold' when it matters sometimes i'm quite wasteful with my chances#i often make the craziest most difficult shots which are 'impossible' to get back but then fail at the easiest one's#especially in the crucial moments maybe i should play it safe more and be more patient#nah but winning that first set would have changed everything because 3rd sets are more likely to be my advantage with my speed and fitness#and in the 2nd i was just always one behind i always caught up but never went ahead#my serve also wasn't really there today and my 2nd serve is still too weak opponents take advantage and if i have a bad 1st serve percentage#like today it makes it difficult to win my own serve and i also made many double faults (4) 😕#i aced her once tho 🤪#but my serves are sometimes great but very inconsistent dependent on the day (the 2nd one always bad)#my backhand also wasn't as good as usualy i hit a lot of them out but it got better altough then i took many with my forehand which worked#and my opponent had riddiculous stops they wouldn't go up the ground again 🫠#and she was so good at net and also whenever i went there she'd pass me or lob me 😅#i gave up doing that very soon my best shot at this was just hitting winners and hitting balls deep to her forehand#i succeeded at that a couple of times but it was not enough#i mean i didn't play badly but what a shame#she was very nice though and very fair it was a pleasant match and she told me she was the best opponent she encountered in the league

theres a lot of things that I wasn't expecting when watching evangeleon for the first time, but the thing that threw me for a loop the most was the shinji tragic gay romance arc????? Hello???? After all that girl stuff?????
#This is not a bad thing btw#Just so hilarious how they did so much will they won't they with the girls and then he just fell heads over heels with Kaworu#Say what you want about holding the same still frame for five minutes but that shot.... With the music.... heartbreaking#I think it's really cool that that's the one time the audience doesn't get to hear shinji lose it#Got very disappointed when the next episode didn't deal with that at all#Which don't get me wrong- I think the trippy ''how can I be happy'' stuff was cool!#It just would've been better if they had done any kind of lead up to it whatsoever#like can you imagine if they're all rushing to stop the third impact and then something happens and we get those last two episodes#no further explanation no hints as to what's really going on outside shinji's head besides quick shots that might just be misdirection#It would be so cool it would be so cool do you see my vision#Idk maybe they do that in end of evangeleon but I couldn't watch it#tried to push through but man... Been finishing up act 2 of bg3. It's a good thing I find the battle systems so fun bc Hoo Boy there sure do be battles
#speculation nation#im going the epic hero direction this run. mostly bc i care about saving innocents' lives as much as possible#which means Killing Necromancers...... ugh.#cloudkill my beloathed. me n my homies hate cloudkill (used against us at least)#i got my vampire kicked into a fucking CHASM i had to reload a save 😭😭😭#he's been phenomenally unuseful in these fights bc theres so many people and so few places to hide#usually hes one of my biggest damage dealers. and sometimes he can get a good shot in#but a lot of turns hes just firing one dinky lil arrow and then hiding in the corner#...... i keep forgetting about the fancy arrows. i have so many of those. i should try to remember them when i get to the Big battle.#which. hmmm. we r gonna hope it's not Too difficult a battle. ive been able to get thru every battle so far in this game#turns out im Pretty Damn Good at this game. to the point where i'll brute force it and still end up fine.#the literal only battle i had to leave and go back for was the big spider queen thing in the bottom of the well. she was scary.#im level 9 now tho and full of so much guts n grit. and loot. holy fucking shit the loot.#im looting every body (including fallen allies. sorry guys ur gold's goin to a good cause.)#i have karlach with a like 460 carrying capacity but she STILL keeps getting encumbered. from all the armor.#im making fucking Thousands off this tower capture im gonna have so much fucking money#once i leave here and can actually. sell them all 😂#anyways i have been having fun! had to stop for the night bc it's late. but i will be killing thorny ass tomorrow. mark my words.

Also me thinking about the all the ways the nonverbal communication in stampede is utilized for both the characters and the audiences understanding for approximately 0.153 seconds:
#he just ugh it’s so augh#like studio orange did such a good job with the show not tell of it all and it makes me crazy#the fact that both vash and wolfwood knew that there was a high chance that vash wasn’t going to make it out alive after he confronts knives#and how you can see it in both of their eyes. the regret in wolfwoods is so clear and yet they don’t say anything.#they don’t acknowledge what they both know. they act like everything is fine when it’s not fine. nothing is fine and it will never be fine.#and there are so many more instances of this happening#it’s absolutely painful as hell and I adore it#like the livio fight. there’s so much fear and regret and worry and pain reflecting in wolfwoods eyes and expressions. he’s grieving#but there’s no way he’d say that out loud. but he shows it on his face and in his every move. he’s such a capable killer with the punisher#we see that. but with livio it’s different. and not only does the audience get to understand that but vash catches on and tries to help#and it’s not just facial expressions either. little hand movements that are so subtle but say so much. like ww before vash is shot.#or when they’re in the sand steamers control room and before ww says he’s in you can watch his hand clench into a fist and it’s so subtle#but also says so much too. this got away from me a little bit whoops.#trigun stampede#trigun#vash the stampede#nicholas d. wolfwood

It's been five years. Not only has my social anxiety NOT improved, but I have all kinds of new anxieties! I get nightmares about rotisserie chicken availability! Even if I'm at other stores and off the clock, I freeze in fear when the music turns off and the paging system turns on! I flinch at the ringtone of the store phone! I can feel fear curdling in my stomach if the phone rings when there are no cars in the parking lot because that means it's almost certainly a customer complaint! The word 'coupon' fills me with dread in any context now!
#vent post#negative#veresiine irl#posting this because God willing I will be leaving this job soon#because my physical and mental health are deteriorating pretty rapidly#and with all the changes corporate has forced on us starting this summer#all my coworkers are on the brink of collapse too#there are a few more specific anxieties but basically#the only fear this job has helped with is fear of being hit by a motor vehicle#because we have so many near-misses all the time and also frankly broken bones sound better#than working here on a rough day#it's a parking lot so people are going low speeds so a collision probably wouldn't be fatal#honestly I'm much less traumatized by that time I almost got shot in the store parking lot#than I am from some of the verbal customer interactions I've had#in part because I got like. actual support. 'go take your lunch and get something good. Do you need to go home?'#'you were so brave for going through that. I'm so glad you're safe'#vs the verbal abuse is just. an expected part of the job#even if I do get sympathy from coworkers if I cry#why am I - an autistic person with severe social anxiety - working customer service (both in-person and on the phone) anyway?
