an important part abt alice’s loneliness to me is that it IS majorly self inflicted and caused, bc we see time and again how dearly she is loved, and just that she seems to not interpret or see these things properly as just that, bc of her view of herself as an outsider and her lack of extensive-intimate-experience with humans
