Went to twitter for testament content in a moment of weakness and i think it did eat some of my brain away but also i saw someone talking about testament ocd so i didnt kill anybody its ok

watching a two hour video essay on T. Swift by a fellow queer person has really affirmed I cannot vibe with her appeal. Her lyrics don't resonate with me, I couldn't care less about her as a person, and in general, she feels like a popstar who has learned how to perfectly manufacture the most digestible, understandable, and relatable music that fits the current vibe of the pop music space as much as possible. Which makes sense, given her parents are in the marketing business and she seems to have a knack for it, but the 'authenticity' that she shrouds herself in and her fans espouse just seems... plastic? Inorganic?

One of her songs comes on the radio. It's catchy in the way most top 100's songs are. The lyrics are serviceable and paying lip service to a deeper meaning that just isn't found despite the attempts to make one. The singing and actual instrumentation are good enough to not change the station.

The story is muddled from mixed metaphors and themes. There's about as much inventive about the music as the songs that came before and will come after. The last of the instruments fade away as the closing line is sung and I feel
