So, I have to admit my initial reaction to the Chimeric Cadent reveal was one of horror and pity. [Signet] is one of my favorite characters in the show and to have her and the Waking Cadent end up here -- a husk ruling a boneyard, watching their worst nightmare for the galaxy come true for thousands of years -- it makes what happened to Cassander look merciful. At least Cassander didn't live to see it. Real "look through crosshairs" type GMing, you know?

On the other hand, Janine says in the Twilight Mirage postmortem that one of her biggest regrets with [Signet] was not playing up the body horror of the character concept enough -- I think she even mentions reliquaries and incorruptible saints as some of the aesthetic inspirations. We have to consider that not only did Janine agree to her old PC showing up as one third of the Dark Souls 3 boss of a holy sepulcher on a cursed moon, she may have specifically requested it.

I just had a not-so-fun thought. Since Sherlock & Co. is aware that it's a podcast and occasionally references real word events that are currently happening or have recently happened...Do you think the creators will stop releasing episodes of the podcast for two or three years after the Reichenbach Fall to create a consistent and realistic timeline of Sherlock's faked death and John and Mariana mourning? Or do you think they'll shorten the time of Sherlock's absence to merely a few months of playing dead for the audience if they go down this route? Maybe after Sherlock "dies" we'll just get a few sad episodes of John venting to us about missing Sherlock. Whatever happens, I'm both looking forward to and fearing how they will handle this part of the story!

For those who haven't heard this, this is a clip from the episode of David Tennant Does A Podcast With... featuring Olivia Colman, from 2019. In this clip, Olivia and David talk about people filming them without permission, the ubiquity of camera phones, and the idea of "home" as a sanctuary from loss of privacy. I thought it was something interesting to think about and consider, especially in the wake of recent events.

1- he shaved his head in season four and is slowly growing it out again, he also stopped shaving his face as often and is a little too proud of his patchy little beard

2- he gained a bit of weight and now he has a hot sexy dad bod

3- he now enjoys watching the sunset (NOT the sunrise that’s way too early) and actively makes time in his day to watch it

4- he started journaling but doesn’t keep up with it very well and it’s written like his silly monologues

5- he volunteers at youth shelters and stays late to tell stories nobody actually believes (the kids secretly love him like a weird old uncle)

6- he started trying to dress more practically and ended up with a grandpa sweater collection which he insists are not grandpa sweaters

7- he likes animals and wants to get a cat but spends too long obsessively preparing (eventually he gets a shelter cat missing an eye that he talks to in the stupidest baby voice)

8- he sometimes tries to sketch things he sees but never tells anyone and isn’t very good at it

9- he has chronic nightmares and struggles to sleep

10- he would never admit it but he has taken a liking to trash tv (if Rita ever found out he would never hear the end of it)

thinking about my post about how Arthur mightve been able to be more impersonal about people he met and being able to leave them… but specifically with Oscar

of course the decision to leave him, not to say goodbye, that was difficult on it’s own. Arthur of struggled to let Oscar go; even putting “knowing Oscar” in the offering box when they went to the order. however, do you think, could Arthur have actually seen Oscar, would he have been able to bring himself to leave him?

if he could’ve seen Oscar next to his father in law when he was injured, if he could’ve seen him sitting at that bar, if he could’ve seen Oscar’s face when he talked about how Arthur was his purpose, if he could’ve seen Oscar’s form on the floor of that abandoned mansion after he was forced to cut off his arm. could he have even brought himself to cut off Oscar’s arm? the blindness had to have given him some sort of disconnect. not exactly like the disconnect we have, but, I wanna say similar.

even if, say, he could only see out of one eye now. just that small glimpse of what’s happening. how much would that change the story?

I started listening to Malevolent a couple of days ago, just finished episode 20 today and when i tell you i SOBBED. MULTIPLE TIMES. FUCK. I'M NOT OKAY.
