I’m not bilingual and it haunts me everyday. My dad’s an immigrant and my grandma is from the Philippines. Why do I not speak Tagalog or Belarusian. This failure goes all the way back to the top.

#I speak a frankly pathetic amount of German and that’s it #well I mean and English #I have been told I do not talk like a native speaker #I say tattoo like titoo and vaccine like vassine #which I Do Not have an accent #except like a northern one ig cus I’m from Illinois #ppl tell me and my mom we have European accent when both of us were born in the us #which is funny bc no one ever thinks my dad has an accent #ppl always assume my mom is the one from Europe and she’s like nope

I don’t have TikTok but my sister does and she showed me the ban/return messages and I was convinced they were fake until she opened up the app and showed me outside of screenshots bc of how dystopian they were. Like those messages were the type of stuff straight out of a George Orwell book. I looked at them and laughed bc I was like there’s no way that’s real and she stared at me like why wouldn’t they be.

#I have tried to fight doctors #multiple times #editing this bc that makes me sound rly violent #I only fight them when they bring shots near me #I hate dentists bc they lie to me and don’t tell me when they have needles until it’s too late #at least doctors make their intentions clear
