As I've gotten older, I find myself more disturbed by that horror game trope where you the player arrive to a place that's already gone to hell. Monsters are loose, everywhere you go is rife with the blood and bodies of the previous inhabitants. You find the journal entries or audio logs of those people, as they describe how their situation was deteriorating. That something beyond their comprehension is destroying their lives, killing their coworkers, neighbors, their loved ones. People who don't even get to be NPCs but are instead narrative ghosts. Everything they did was - at best - a stopgap. A delaying tactic. Nothing but a warning left behind or an unfinished, plot necessary work to be picked up by whomever comes after them; you, the player.

I think it affects me more now because I identify less with the protagonists and more with all those people who are already dead by the time you get there and were powerless to stop it.

It makes the horror better, but also so, so much worse.

Been rereading the early Inky Mystery chapters recently and I have to say I forgot how flirty Bendy was in the beginning like Idk how I forgot about that. In the beginning it's like a huge part of his character and he's just changed sooooo much.

All of them have, like Felix being a Dad to not only Bendy and Boris, but the Cup-Bros too like now it would seem out of character for him to do that cause of the whole Wiseton mess. Then there's all their banter that's more or less up and left (or literally flown off in some cases), Alice and Bendy's puns, Cups and Bendy's play fighting, Mugs and Boris being cheeky against their bros, Holly's excessive questions (like they're there it's just less and she more subdued), Holly joking w the Cup-Bros or Alice and Cala, Cup calling her Tree Princess, and Finley's jokes and little skits w Sammy (oh Finley, u adorable fox, it's been a while).

OH and then there's the "widdle wolfie" thing, my heart hurts anytime as I reread those like com'on man I can't take it. On top of it I finally reached the Group Date thing and Alice is so avoidant of a relationship w Bendy cause of culture and her parents which is killing me cause like her Mom was fine w it (love that btw) and yeah we don't know how the Upper would react but we could've avoided SOME of the heartache we have now and it just makes me wonder what would've happened if she had excepted at the time.

Overall I just miss their family dynamic and just everything before Finley died and the Dark Circus stuff!!!😭😭😭

Like it's so pure and cute and I miss it...

But alas here we are, the Quester Family torn asunder.

Yeah, they were just such cuties and I love them. Unfortunately tho I love drama, angst, and the darker stuff more so I can't wait to see what's next. Anyway I must say farewell to thee my fellow existences.

It's always so interesting to me how a cosmetic in a game, example DBD, shows off what kind of person is playing the character. Usually it's more on the negative side, again like DBD back in the day when cosmetics were limited but if you saw a dog mask Huntress or Rogi mask Trapper you just knew they were going to be toxic.

Same thing seems to be happening in Texas Chainsaw Massacre the Game as more cosmetics come out. For instance; the new Razor-Sharp Johnny shirt, or as we all like to call his Sunday Best, I've noticed that Johnnys wearing it were a lot nicer. The two Johnny's I got pre-game chat and in game were both super sweet either playing around with me or even helping me sneak out, lol.

My steam name currently is Johnny enjoyer ♥ which, you know, helps a little in showing I enjoy the man and they can make the choice of slaughter or save/play with (I do not mind either choice, please just play more Johnny). Was also playing Ana in her new dress, so not sure if that changes the outcome. I also know the sample size of 2 isn't very much but getting 2 very friendly Johnnys in their Sunday Best was just interesting to me.

Whereas a shirtless Johnny the previous game had hunted me relentless in the basement wanting my blood all over his blade/body.

There is also taking into consideration that Shirtless is free and Sunday Best/Razor Sharp you have to pay for. People who like Johnny will pay for more of his cosmetics, like me, and maybe are more playful?

Who's to say, I'll need to play more and see if more friendly Johnny's wearing the new shirt crop up. Just a little brain worm I've had since playing the other night. Also did a little silly edit. Enjoy~
