You wanna talk about House and Benny? Let’s talk about House and Benny. Let’s talk about how House says he saw Benny as a son figure ans a rightful successor to the strip. Let’s talk about how Benny was so charmed by House’s offer that he literally killed a man to get the position to agree to it. Let’s talk about how House was intentionally priming Benny and regrets not doing better, not for the wasted time but of Benny’s wasted potential, how it was misplaced. Let’s talk about how Benny didn’t question House’s leadership until the guy started going radio silent. Let’s talk about House and Benny:

#cause realistically Benny had to be of an age house could project a parental view on when they first met and combined with how impulsive and #short sighted Benny is with his planning and way of operating makes me think he’s not as old as people headcanon cause he was the leader #the chairmen for 7 years so you have to subtract that from his current age meaning he was even younger and more impressionable to house cuz #how else would house see him as a good candidate if his backstabbing was already a thing seeing as house was aware of his plan from the #start so since house projects and acts like a man ranged late 40s to 50s I’d say Benny is max 25-27 by game start so they met when he was #still a teen cause a theme in the game surrounding older npcs ins a resistance to change and of course someone still young and okay with #change would take an offer such as Houses eagerly along with the fact Benny seems like okay with sudden change actually considering him #giving you the reigns when he thinks his goose is cooked #but this is all to say there was def an unhealthy projection on house part on the role he wanted Benny to play that was likely controlling #and the sudden silence as he tried to acquire the chip would only make Benny more inclined to rebel especially since he is still young and #impressionable if we take he’s only in his mid 20s #and before someone says he doesn’t look it he acts like that and some characters are supposed to be 26 and 37 and I bet you guessed wrong on #who the first time #fallout #fallout new vegas #mr house fnv #robert edwin house #benny fnv #benny gecko

there’s a version of npmd less tied to the hatchetfield lore and with a reworked second act that could go off-broadway and i’m being dead serious. like. somehow transcends starkid and that’s coming from someone who loves starkid. the last minute of the title song is an all-timer. first act is basically perfect unironically and i am not joking

#if it wasn’t obv. i love this musical #i do think the second act is a bit weaker w pacing and the hatchetfield tie-ins #my changes would be getting rid of or cutting the more obv fanservicy things #establishing grace as more of a primary anchoring protagonist and playing up the max dynamic more #and spreading out the second act kills more/make them more atmospheric #and i think maybeee foreshadow the LIB more to rely less on NT/BF lore #basically. just make it a straight comedic slasher lol and more standalone #nerdy prudes must die #starkid

The funniest thing about Hawkins Gang's future kids is that all their parents are going to have the strangest quirks and truama responses, and the kids are gonna have no idea how weird it all is until they're in like college or something. Think about it, the gang all remain close friends. Their children are close as a result, and there's enough of them that they have many examples of similar behaviors throughout their entire environment.

I am only seeing it in clips, but the trip to old spawn is just reaffirming my feeling that the cost of moving to the new spawn far outweighs the benefit...

#there was just so much lost #and very little gained comparatively #the new spawn building is cool but that could have literally just been built at the old spawn #like i get the point of trying to keep everyone on a similar level but it just doesn't work #there will always be players like bad and aypierre and tubbo who will bcome the richest and strongest in record time #resets only slow them slightly in that sense #so if youre not on every day youll never catch up #but you know what doesnt require constant daily log ins?#roleplay #lore #obviously you can fall behind but you can still be involved #quackity and roier and missa and jaiden and max and many others could disappear for weeks and then show up and do fun lore and it was great #bagi arrived alone and carved out such a huge place for herself in the lore #but the resets and events and changes just killed the story and momentum #the months of work building the qsmp world that everyone fell in love with was just abandoned #and though the playera made cool stuff at the new spawn there was always just this huge sense of loss #it hit me especially hard early on when seeing Cellbit at the new spawn #as a ghostie i was so hyper aware of everything lost to bad #but it hit really hard seeing Cellbit hanging out in spawn because all previous character stuff was just #gone #no order #no castle #no ordem rooms #no Cell arch conclusion #it just highlighted even more that all that story #all that hard work he had done for months and months and months #it was just abandoned #aaaaack #/neg #i guess sorry :'D
