Honestly my number one pet peeve about Migurl fanfic is that SO MANY PEOPLE write him saying “fuck” when 2099 canon dictates that “shock” is the new “fuck”. Like he straight up says “real fun cleaning up your FUCKING mess” in 2099 speak. And he says it ALL THE TIME in the comics, too. He has the biggest shocking potty mouth, you guys.

(Campaign boost/mutual aid support scams)

These kinds of scams occur when you tag original posts with tags such as “GoFundMe” “mutual aid” and more. This scam goes as follows:

A relatively blank account with a generic pfp will either send you a message or comment or even send you an ask telling you that your campaign doesn’t seem to be making progress so they’ll offer a service that will ‘boost’ your campaign but it’s not actually free.

Instead, these accounts will ask you to pay them $7 (or more!) to get a boost. You should not pay anyone money to get your fundraiser boosted as reblogs are free of charge and don’t cost any money to do. Report accounts who do this and block them. They usually use a Fiverr link.

Mutual aid support scams work in a similar fashion but the main difference is they will DM you and ask for your banking details so they can give you money or write you a fake check which would lead to you losing money either way. They will disregard any links you have that offer ways to support and evade questions you ask them. Report these accounts too and block them.

Please be careful of DMs that ask for personal information when you have plenty of links that someone could use to support you and don’t pay people to boost your fundraiser,

It might seem easy to make gifs to some of y’all, but I promise you it’s not! I use a goddamn VPN to open this app and it took me AN HOUR to upload this set! I don’t care if you think this is free content and you can use it without proper credits. What I care about is for y’all to NOT repost my gifs without crediting me.

Just a general PSA: OP turned off reblogs and set the post to private, so it can't be reblogged by anyone, but @phantomyre's response is still visible in the link.

I assumed the screenshots were just @/momori-tsuchiga crossposting to a tumblr alt or something, I didn't bother looking too deep until I was approached about it.

This is honestly kinda bonkers. These are pixel-perfect matches, which basically can't happen outside cutscenes. There has been some editing with regard to color balance and the like, but the screenshots themselves were not taken by the OP, and claiming otherwise when people can literally see that you're lying is so genuinely bizarre I don't even know what to say.

I'm one of those people who is fine with my own screenshots being used elsewhere (with credit) unless stated otherwise, particularly since it's not like I made the game, but it is pretty difficult to get shots this good in Rebirth's photo mode. To repost someone else's captures, claim they're your own, and include multiple notes telling others not to steal or repost them from you is pretty egregious!

Since the whole thing with NaNoWriMo has gone down, I've noticed that one of their former sponsors, Ellipsus, has cut contact with NaNoWriMo because they do not support their stance on AI; I didn't know what Ellipsus was, but upon further research I've found that they are a writing platform that works a lot like Google Docs and Microsoft Word, only with a heavier leaning on the story-writing aspect and connecting with other writers - and they also completely denounce any use of AI, both in the writing process itself and in the use of their platform. I really appreciate that.

Since this is the case (and since I've noticed Google has begun implementing more AI into their software), I've decided to give Ellipsus a try to see if it's a good alternative to Google Docs (my main writing platform). It's completely free and so far, I've found it simple to use (although it is pretty minimal in its features), and I really like the look of it.

I figured I'd spread the word about this platform in case any of you writers would want to give it a try, and if you do, let me know how you like it!
