In one of the afflicted corners of Gaza, Mohamed Al-Khaldi, a man in his twenties, took his heavy steps amidst the chaos of life. Mohamed, known for his resilience and patience, worked as a freelancer, spending long nights behind his computer screen, striving to ensure a decent life for himself and his small family.

Before the war, his life was filled with challenges, but he never knew despair. He began saving to cover the costs of his apartment with great difficulty, and his joy was indescribable when he finally got married after a bitter struggle. His wife, whom he loved deeply, was always his support, encouraging him every time he felt the burden was heavier than he could bear.

But the war... that merciless war turned everything upside down. The early days were filled with fear and anxiety, and Mohamed struggled to provide for his simple household amidst the shelling and explosions. One day, while he was trying to bring some basic necessities for his family, a missile fell nearby, and he was hit by shrapnel in his head.

Mohamed was transported to the hospital amidst sounds of crying and prayers. In those tense moments, he thought only of his wife, who was expecting their first child, and the home he had built with his patience and struggle. The pain was intense, but the fear for his loved ones was even greater.

Despite everything, Mohamed slowly recovered. A scar remained on his head, a witness to those difficult moments, but it was also a testament to his resilience. After returning home, he saw his wife with a smile that wiped away all her sorrows. She held a picture of the ultrasound showing their upcoming child and said to him:

"Mohamed, we are stronger than anything, and this child will be a symbol of the life they couldn’t destroy."

On that day, Mohamed realized that despite all the hardships he had gone through, life is worth living, and no matter how harsh the war is, love and hope are stronger.

The price of a loaf of bread is £1 & a 25 kg bag of flour is £500. Despite that, we can barely find them in the markets. We are living a real famine due to the imposition of a complete siege & the closure of the crossings by the occupation for more than two months.

Eggs, chicken & meat of all kinds They were banned from entering through commercial crossings to torture and punish us, innocent civilians. A kilo of rice costs £12 and a kilo of sugar £15. Most essential foodstuffs are banned. We have been living on canned peas & beans for over 411 days.

Every day we stand for up to 3 hours to get a gallon of water to drink & we spend hours of the day securing & providing some food & drink to keep us alive.

Displaced from our home 7 times & now living in a Tent that lacks of Life The tents' waste, including garbage & sewage, is spread around us, causing the spread of very serious diseases such as hepatitis, polio, the spread of mosquitoes & insects. as well as we lost our jobs, salaries & everything.

We were asked through leaflets dropped by the occupation to move from the north of the Gaza Strip to the south, so we left our homes & everything in them since October 2023, thinking that we would return after a week, & here we are waiting to return from 14 months. Our home was demolished due to the bombing of a tower next to it.

The number of WAR martyrs has reached more than 43,000, & the wounded are more than 103,000, of whom more than 35,000 have become disabled. Internationally banned missiles & bombs are used to kill us. Every day between 60 - 100 people die. In the north & the south of GAZA.

I'm collecting donations to provide food & drink for me & my family of 8, including 4 children under the age of 10.

Ok y'all I need some help.

I can't seem to find this fic, and I don't know what to do. It's been a while since I read it last, and I'm afraid that it's been deleted (😔😭😔) BUT I am also a dummy who has a goldfish memory. What I remember is:

- Merlin (from the BBC show)

- Camelot has this tradition of swapping roles/jobs. Nobles and Servants flip flops for a week to see what it's like.

- Uther never participated but now that Arthur is King he's letting Merlin take over while he does something (Arthur is away for some mission or something, so he's unavailable when shit hits the fan)

- Magic has NOT been revealed yet

- The ban on magic becomes a BIG topic that Merlin has to address, but he decides that this is too personal and tells the council that he cannot decide that and only Arthur can, so wait until he's back

- Merthur (I think, but I could be wrong. Either way, it's mostly pre-relationship)

- Merlin ROCKS at being a King, and Arthur + Council are very impressed by him!

- Also pretty sure someone declares war??? There's another really big topic Merlin must do while trying to be like Arthur and a Good King (tm) 👑

My name is Wajdi. I’m 30 years old, Lebanese, and a husband and father to a two-year-old boy. My family is my entire world my wife and our little son. All I want is to protect them, to give them a safe, stable life. But in Lebanon, that dream is slipping further away every day.

We lost our home to the war, reduced to rubble in an instant. One minute, it was a place where laughter echoed and where we planned our future. The next, it was gone. Now, we’re in survival mode, moving constantly, never knowing where we’ll be tomorrow or if we’ll find food or clean water. I used to think that I could handle anything, that I could adapt. But seeing my family suffer my son, so small and fragile that’s a pain I can’t put into words.

My son needs vaccinations, basic health care, but we can’t afford them. Here, even the most basic necessities are luxuries. Food is scarce, and what little we manage to find, I often go without, saving every bit for my son and my wife. Hygiene, clean water, things we never thought twice about—they are now constant worries, haunting me as I watch my child try to grow up in this world that feels like it’s falling apart around him.

But even now, I have hope. As a father, I don’t have the luxury of giving up. I believe that somewhere, somehow, there’s a way out of this darkness for my family. I dream of a future where my son can play in a safe place, where my wife can sleep without fear, and where I can find work, dignity, and security for us all.

I’m sharing my story because I believe in humanity, in compassion. If my voice can reach someone who can help, who can understand the desperate reality we live, maybe, just maybe, we can find a way to rebuild our lives. I’m not asking for pity; I’m asking for a chance—just a chance for my family to survive, to live with dignity, to hope for tomorrow.
