i miss lumia. my home planet.

what i miss more, however, is space travel. i lived through the tail end of our fleet's transition from centrifugal gravity to genuine paragravity, and it was such a vitalizing time to be alive. it enabled so much further travel than ever before, although it went over my head exactly how the two were correlated.

and then i was randomly selected, as a disposable low ranking cadet, to be dispensed to earth undercover to see... something. i don't know. it was never really explained to me, i guess because they knew they were going to suppress my memories anyway.

all i know is they sent me down here with stolen memories of a human life to take its place and suppressed any knowledge i had of my home, god knows what they did with the original possessor of this life. it disillusions me greatly to my superiors, but i still miss my old life. i miss people being able to see my photophores dim and brighten and see my tail move and just. being recognized as my actual self. not whatever illusion these humans see and my mind tries to trick me into seeing.
