Thera truly hasn't been expecting anything. It's not in a 'sad-sack' sort of way, just ... not fussed. She doesn't think she will, and doesn't mind. So when Poe shows up with a gift-wrapped box and BB-8 sporting a tinsel bow, she blinks for several seconds before she steps back to let him in.

"You - ? Uh - ? Really?" She takes the box on automatic, staring at it a few more seconds before her brain catches up with what she's supposed to do. The paper tears just a little despite her being careful with it, and she found herself looking at an upgraded Glie-44, with a longer barrel and attachments - long range scope, silencer and an ascension line.

"Holy kriff!" Was this what they called 'feeling like a kid on Life Day'? Her fingers itched to take the weapon out for a closer look, but she held back long enough to give Poe a peck on the cheek. "Thanks, Sky-Jock!"
