Adventures in Binging: 'Grey's Anatomy'
Adventures in Binging: ‘Grey’s Anatomy’
Originally posted on WhatSamWatches, MFST writer, Samantha Nguyen’s, personal blog. Before binge-watching all of Private Practice, I started Grey’s Anatomy. Which makes sense since Private Practice is technically a spin-off. But Grey’s Anatomy is now on its 18th season, which is insane. So to say it took a while to binge-watch the whole series is an understatement. For those who don’t know,

Adventures in Binging: ‘Private Practice’
Originally posted on WhatSamWatches, MFST writer, Samantha Nguyen’s, personal blog. Almost everyone’s heard of Grey’s Anatomy, but not everyone’s heard of Private Practice. Or at least I hadn’t. A few months ago, I decided to binge-watch Grey’s Anatomy to see if all the hype was worth it. But the thing is, Grey’s Anatomy just finished its 17th season. So to say I have a lot of episodes to go is

Originally posted on WhatSamWatches, MFST writer, Samantha Nguyen’s, personal blog. Following last Thursday night’s episode of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, the story continues on Law & Order: Organized Crime. I don’t know why it took me so long to write this (because I watched this episode right after SVU) but I blame it on being unmotivated and lazy (lol). So, for anyone that wants to see

The Misery Index: 'Waste of a Good Bum' Recap
There are shocks. There's spills and there's Gilbert Gottfried (well sort of) on tonight's episode. In the second episode of the new season of The Misery Index, Walter's the first contestant on episode two of this season’s Misery Index. His most miserable moment was having an allergic reaction, while on a date. He loves seafood, but he's allergic to a specific type of it. Parker's tonight’s second contestant. His most miserable moment came when he stole someone else child. He and his wife were vacationing at Disneyland with there two children. Unfortunately he grabbed another woman’s child mistaking it for his own. The worst part was looking for his child after the mix up.
Full Recap
Tumblr media
Q and Sal will be on Walter’s team, while Joe and Murr join Parker. Jameela places two misery markers on the Trauma Tron. The first is your child asks for emancipation on TikTok. This misery is rated a 68. The second marker is you get peed on at a music festival. It was rated a 42. Both Walter and Parker will each be given a third misery. They must choose above, below or between the current two markers. Walter's shown a clip of a mother filming her child in a rainstorm. The child holds a umbrella. Seconds later lightning strikes the child. The mother runs for cover inside. Walter believes it is above the two markers. He is correct and wins $500. The incident was rated a 87.
Parker is shown a woman doing a cannonball in a frozen lake. The lake appears to be unfrozen. She bangs her head and bum on the water, before skidding to the middle of the lake. Parker thinks it is between the two markers. He is correct. It was a 49. He wins $500. For the more or less miserable round Parker goes first. He is shown a news clipping of a Nana streaking during Gilbert Gottfried’s daughter’s Zoom bat mitzvah. Then he is shown a clip of a toddler receiving a birthday cake with the word “Loser” printed on it. Parker chooses the bat mitzvah as worse. The cake was a 33. The bat mitzvah a 47. Parker now has $1,500 in his bank.

Warrior: 'To a Man With a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail' Recap
Even though Warrior first premiered in 2019, MFST writer, Jamie Nixon, is just now getting into the show during quarantine. As I'm sure we all are binge-watching both old and new shows. Like MFST writer, Samantha, binge-watching all of Psych or Kira catching up on shows like The Crown. Nevertheless, Warrior show follows a Chinese immigrant, Ah Sahm, in becoming a "hatchet man" for the most powerful Tong in San Francisco. The show's also executive-produced by Shannon Lee, as her late father, the iconic Bruce Lee, came up with the original concept. If you missed the last episode, catch up with Jamie's recap. Now, we've finally reached the show's second season. With that said, here's what you may have missed in the sixth episode of the show's second season titled, "To a Man With a Hammer, Everything Looks Like a Nail".
Full Recap
Tumblr media
The boys head to Rooker's Mill for a possible death match. Vega settles a family vendetta. Father Jun may be onto Ah Sahm and Young Jun New opium venture. Ah Sahm, Young Jun, Hong and Vega travel to Rooker’s Mill. A town on the border between the United States and Mexico. While Vega explains to Ah Sahm the rules of the town,Young Jun notices some hookers. He asks Hong if the female gender turns him on. Hong elicits a firm no. When Young Jun asks if Hong would sleep with him, Hong tells him only if you sleep with your sister. Young Jun's appalled. All three men will share a room. Hong sleeps on the floor, while Ah Sahm and Young Jun get the beds. The boys ponder why Ah Sahm hasn’t bedded Vega yet. Ah Sahm doesn't want to answer so, he leaves to take in the sights of Rooker’s town. Earlier the boys had their weapons confiscated or they would be killed in retaliation for insubordination.
Ah Sahm enters a saloon and is immediately accosted by Dolph Jagger. Dolph is one of the competitors. Vega and Rooker’s men know Dolph likes to cause trouble ,they put a stop to the fight before it can start. Later that evening Elias Rooker and his wife toast the tournament. Vega looks shaken after Rooker's speech. The boys dig in to authentic Mexican food for the first time. The tournament begins. Hong wants one of Jagger’s accomplices cowboy boots. The wheels start turning in his brain, as he plots just how to obtain them. Dolph is up first and chokes out, then kills his opponent by breaking the man’s neck. Vega leaves and wanders into the desert. Ah Sahm follows her. As he discusses his background with her, the two realize they have a similar history. When Ah Sahm starts to move in for a kiss, Vega stops him. The two walk back arm in arm.
