Here I am, patiently waiting for Owen and Teddy to get together only 9 seasons in. Only to find out Owen has ANOTHER wife before he marries Teddy 🤦🏻‍♀️ Guess I'll be waiting for awhile.

You know who convinces Steve to go to a doctor about his hearing? Wayne Munson.
His own hearing certainly isn't what it used to be. Working at the plant with all that machinery, only some of which required wearing safety earmuffs. Plus his work at the auto shop on the side wasn't the quietest workplace either. If someone asked him, he's sure all the time he spent with a ringing in his ears as a kid when his father took him out hunting with his brother didn't do him any favours.
And he's just so damn sick and tired of arguing with his nephew about the television volume.
At first, he thought it was some petty arguing from Eddie, ever the one to make it known that he is being personally inconvenienced. But then when Steve started staying over, that's when Wayne started noticing that is what it looks like when someone is hard of hearing.
Steve turns his head to favour his right ear and sometimes Wayne suspects the kid can't hear out of it at all. He mishears a lot too - asks people to repeat themselves with an overly polite, "Pardon?". He watches as the younger kids tease Steve, calling him 'an old man' until his shoulders slump and he goes all quiet. He also complains about muffling sounds, though he brushes off any acknowledgment of his issue. And Wayne is sure it all contributes to the poor boy's debilitating headaches that leave him bedridden.
But most damning of all: Steve never complains about the television volume. And Eddie gets all grumpy with the pair of them, huffing off to his room as if he doesn't play his metal music at a window-shattering volume.
So one day Wayne announces he has made an appointment to get his hearing checked. Thankfully, Robin Buckley is there too, eyes wide with opportunity as she slaps Steve's shoulder repeatedly with what he assumes is encouragement.
"Go!" she insists and Steve gives the world's smallest nod in reluctant agreement.
His own hearing test is straightforward and Eddie is satisfied with the aids he comes home with that will hopefully solve all their squabbling.
But Steve's hearing problems are a different story - more complex and requiring plenty of tests. He even has to go off to that Dr Owens fellow who had surfaced at the hospital when Eddie was recovering.
And Wayne finds out Steve has been through a lot more than he is willing to talk about.
Wayne pats him on the shoulder when they return home from Steve's final appointment. He tucks all the paperwork under his arm, shielding it from Steve's view as he makes a beeline for the kitchen to whip up a round of cocoa.
And of course, Eddie is anxiously waiting, jumping up from the couch to crowd Steve who has only just stepped over the trailer's threshold. He shrugs Eddie off and dumps his box containing spare aids, batteries, cleaning tools and a care manual on the coffee table. Wayne catches Eddie's panicked eyes and gently shakes his head in a soft and potentially too-subtle warning as Steve slumps down on the couch with a huff.
Turns out that despite being a respectable boy who always minds his manners, Steve is a horrible patient. Grumpy, resistant, snappy.
Boy can that kid be snarky!
Wayne chews his lip, tapping his foot on the cracked linoleum in the kitchen as he waits for a pot of water to boil on the stove. He knows Eddie is fretting and hovering, waiting to burst with questions. Before today, Steve hadn't said much to Eddie or his friends about his doctor's visits. He was even evasive when he called up Nancy Wheeler to come along and help him sign the complicated paperwork Dr Owens required them to fill out.
He makes quick work of their cocoa and decides to set Steve's on the side table by the couch, knowing he probably won't drink it at all. They'll be lucky if Steve eats dinner tonight at this rate.
"I'll be outside," he announces.
He doesn't bother waiting for an answer. He will just let Steve be for a while. And Eddie is big enough to handle himself...
Eddie waits for his uncle to finally take his beloved Cubs coffee mug out onto the front porch before he twists around to face Steve, who looks set on not touching his cocoa.
He searches for something and stupidly settles on poking at his boyfriend's cheek.
"They look cute," he offers lamely, running his forefinger around to trace the shell of his ear.
Steve slaps his hand away and huffs. Eddie bites the inside of his cheek. Okay, so some flirting that typically turns Steve to putty isn't going to work.
Oh, no.
"Just..." Steve starts before cutting himself off to pinch his nose, "I just need to sit here."
He sniffles and blinks harshly.
"Stevie," he says, voice low and as soothing (and not annoying) as possible, "This is going to be a good thing. It's going to help with your headaches and dizzy spells."
"I feel like an fucking old man," he snaps, gesturing to the door.
"Hey!" he laughs as he gives Steve's earlobe a tug.
"Ouch!" he shrieks, cupping his ear and leaning away.
"Only I get to call my uncle an old man," Eddie says, hand on his heart.
Steve slowly moves back upright and sinks into the couch.
"Eds, I just need to sit here and sulk for a while. I... I don't mean to be pissed off with Wayne."
He follows Steve's eye to the navy-blue box he'd tossed aside. He tentatively reaches forward, teeth clenching in anticipation of Steve protesting him even touching it.
"This all your ear stuff," he wonders aloud as Steve hums and folds his arms, "Can I have a read?"
Steve rolls his eyes but nods anyway.
Eddie sinks back further and further with every line of the hearing aid manual. He had wanted to know everything, but most of the booklet is just an advertisement for the device's brand. He'll have to ask Wayne for details later considering he and Steve had been all hush-hush about his appointments.
He picks up the spare batteries, two little pea-sized silver discs that will surely be misplaced the second they leave the general vicinity of their box. He snaps them back into the plastic packaging, eyes wide open as he goes, too scared to blink for fear they'll disappear on his watch.
Steve leans into his side, lowering down further until Eddie lifts his own arm to give his boyfriend the space to rest his head in his lap. He brushes his hand through Steve's hair, pushing it back enough so that his fingertips can reach his scalp through the thick mop of brown hair.
"Buckley's already working on a bedazzled little box to sit by the bed when you need to take them out," he explains, not expecting an answer.
"Mhmm," Steve murmurs as Wayne comes back inside and smiles.

Things I noted in the PJO trailer
- and against all odds, he managed to find his way to a happy ending. Cute
- BLACKJACK
- Percy's eyes are so striking. Walker is perfectly cast
- I LOVE seeing CHB and the rest of the sets. It's exactly how I pictured it when reading the books
- I kinda miss seeing Dr Owen Hunt as Poseidon weirdly.
- I love our main trio, they're so cute
- Percy's archery scene cracked me up. Should I try again?
- LIN AS HERMES
- Is that Ares he's fighting with in the trailer?
- Sally is perfect
- Maybe I won't even need a sword. Cut to chimera. I'm gonna need a sword. Hilarious
- I'm so excited for a perfect on screen percabeth. They're adorable
This made me feel better about Shadow and Bone being cancelled. Thank you RR.

The hustle and bustle of the emergency room echoed through the cold hallways as the double doors were pushed apart to make way for the ambulance crew and their critical patient. The vehicle's red and blue lights cast flickering shadows on the walls, while the howling sound of the approaching accident conveyed to hospital staff the urgency of the situation.
The paramedics, with serious faces and rustling uniforms, wheeled the gurney into the emergency room. An unknown woman lay on the stretcher, pale and motionless, only the shallow rise and fall of her chest showed any life. A white sheet covered her completely, and her blood-stained hair stuck damply to her forehead. The slow, monotonous beep of the portable monitor accompanied every breath.
Dr. Hunt, the emergency physician in charge, immediately rushed to the bed. His expression was professional, but the depth of his gaze betrayed some concern. The nurses and also Dr. Keppner rushed to help the team take over.
"What do we have?" Owen asked as he looked over the medical file one of the paramedics handed him. "Unknown female person, middle-aged, found unconscious in a park, presumably after an attack. Stabbed in the chest and abdomen. We cannot say any more. No identification and no indication of possible previous illnesses."
The paramedics quickly explained the course of events, how they found the patient and what first aid measures they had taken. The information was relayed with the precision of a well-trained team, but uncertainty about who the woman was and what had happened to her hung in the air.
While Hunt and Keppner began checking vital signs, the unknown woman was wheeled into an examination room. The nurses exchanged hand signals and quietly instructed each other on the next steps. The background noise is a chaotic orchestra of clanging instruments, murmuring conversations and the beeping of medical equipment.
April Keppner leaned over the patient and began a thorough examination. She checked the pupillary reaction, palpated the pulse and analyzed the respiratory rate. The monitors showed unstable readings and the two doctors' facial expressions hardened. A quick look between the two revealed that they were worried.
"We need a CT scan immediately," Owen said, turning to the nurses present. "I also want blood samples for a comprehensive analysis. Let the lab know it's urgent."
While preparations for further examinations were underway, the nurses and doctors tried to keep the unknown woman stable. An intravenous line was placed and fluids began flowing through her derm. The monitors continued to show jittery signals and the tension in the room increased.
"Call Dr. Shephard and Dr. Altmann. I want them here as quickly as possible!" He ordered as he continued to analyze the data on the screen. "And someone should inform the police. We have to find out who she is and what happened in order to prevent further damage."
The exam room was now in a coordinated state of emergency and in a room that was normally a place of rescue, the medical team battled uncertainty and a race against time to save a woman's life. He was abuzz as the neurosurgeon and cardiologist burst through the door almost simultaneously with quick steps. Their eyes were focused, the rubber of their Crocs squeaking in unison with the machines.
"Shephard, the patient is exhibiting unstable neurological signs. The CT scan and blood results are pending," she informed Hunt as he cleared the way for her to the bed.
Amelia nodded curtly and fully entered the room, closing the door behind her. A glance at the monitor and the papers on the tablet caused her eyes to flash briefly before she focused back on the patient. However, as she leaned over the lounger, she froze.
Her features slipped away, the slight smile on her lips fading as she realized who was in front of her. The woman on the lounger was none other than you. Hunt and Keppner stared at her as she noticed her reaction, not understanding why she didn't move forward with her work. "Amelia, we have a critical situation here. The patient's identity is unknown and her values are concerning. We urgently need your expertise!"
Amelia shook her head slightly, as if she could push reality away. Her heart raced as she double-checked that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. "This is y/n. Y/n y/l/n. She's my girlfriend. Find her family, get them here!" A strangled sound escaped her throat and the world around her seemed to stand still for a moment as she processed the shock.
The emotional rollercoaster went through all the ups and downs, from worrying about you to the overwhelming need to stay in control. Her hands shook slightly as she reached for your lifeless and bloody hand.
"Y/n," Amelia whispered with a strangled sound in her voice and the two doctors and friends of the neurosurgeon were also dumbfounded, their breath catching in their throats. "What happened to you?"
Owen Hunt moved closer and tried to reassure her, while also conveying the urgency and explaining the neurological details. But Amelia only heard fragments. Her gaze was lost in your eyes, which were closed as if you were in a deep sleep.
"Amelia, I know it's hard. But we have to act immediately. The CT results are crucial and we have to find out what happened to her to prevent something worse. She could die!" April urged, concerned about her colleague's professionalism.
But Amelia couldn't let go. She ignored the two of them, her focus solely on you. The world outside the exam room seemed to fade as she held your hand tightly. "Y/n, you have to hold on. You can do this," she whispered in your ear, tears of despair welling up in her eyes. "You're strong, you know? We'll get through this together."
In her emotional despair, an internal struggle unfolded within Amelia. Her professional self fought against her personal connection to you. The shouts of other doctors and nurses became a muffled background noise as she refused to loosen her grip on your cold hand.
"Amelia," Owen Hunt spoke in a calm but firm voice. "We need you now. She needs you now. Let's find out what happened to her together.
A conflict between duty and personal pain raged within Amelia. Finally, she reluctantly gave in and removed her hand from yours. However, her gaze remained focused on you, and concern for you was reflected deep in her eyes. She struggled with fear for you as she prepared to resume her professional role as a neurosurgeon.
A deep breath flowed through her body and with a firm resolve she wiped the tears from her cheeks and turned her gaze to the surroundings. "Dr. Hunt, take her to the CT immediately. She's probably having a brain bleed." she spoke, her voice firm. The neurosurgical focus returned fully, analyzing the medical indicators.
The trauma surgeon nodded in agreement and began giving the necessary instructions, getting you up to the CT scanner. Amelia stayed at your side, letting go of your hand for a moment to oversee the diagnostic process.
The minutes that passed felt like hours. The results of the CT scan appeared on the screen, and Amelia scanned the images with a trained eye. She analyzed each region of the brain, looking for signs of bleeding, injury or other abnormalities. The intensity of her concentration was palpable, and the medical staff eagerly awaited her assessment.
"We have severe damage to the frontal lobe," Amelia explained, swallowing hard as she continued to study the images. "It looks like a severe traumatic brain injury. We need to operate immediately to relieve the pressure and prevent further damage."
The team immediately began preparing for the operation. The sterile atmosphere of the operating room seemed to embrace Amelia as her professional role took over. In her surgical uniform, surrounded by a team of experienced professionals, she struck her familiar Superman pose and focused on the procedure ahead.
During the operation, which lasted several hours, your girlfriend showed an impressive mix of calm and precision. Her hands worked in sync with the instruments as she gently treated the damaged tissue. Monitors in the operating room recorded progress, and the medical team closely followed their experienced leader's every move.
After what seemed like endless hours, but which passed like seconds, she finally closed the last stitches and the atmosphere relaxed slightly, but the uncertainty about the outcome of the operation weighed heavily on her.
Amelia let out a frustrated gasp before exiting the operating room, tearing off her gloves and hood. She immediately went to the waiting area to inform your siblings and parents. The tension in her chest eased as she saw the expectant looks of the people who were now her family and your sister immediately threw her arms around her.
"The operation is complete," Amelia began, trying to keep her voice steady as she also clung to your sister to keep her emotions at bay. "It was a complex brain injury for reasons still unknown, but I did everything I could. The next step now is to wait and hope she remains stable."
Your family breathed a sigh of relief as Amelia explained more details about the condition and cooperation with the police. Her words were reassuring to your sister, but she still felt the knot in her stomach. The outcome of the operation was uncertain, and there was no way of knowing whether you would ever wake up and be your old self again.
In the silence of the hospital hallway, as she left the waiting people behind, a moment of exhaustion overcame her. Her eyes wandered back to the exam room where she found you in. The image of you on the lounger didn't fade, but Amelia found comfort in the fact that she had saved you. Now things could only go uphill and she couldn't wait to look into your beautiful eyes again.

DID YOU SAY WEREWOLF OWEN AU?!?!
TELL ME MORE
YESSSS thank you so much, this is like one of my favorite aus ever (I haven't posted anything on tumblr about it yet) (this is going to be long)
So, in this universe, Curt and Owen wouldn't be spies, but werewolf hunters. They are still two of the best agents on the field, working together as a pair both professionally and romantically.
One day, during one of their missions, Curt doesn't clean up the area as well as he should, but neither of them give it enough importance. However, when the wolf is chasing after them, Owen trips and falls. Curt doesn't stop running away, not even turning when he hears Owen scream in pain. He thinks it's too late for him.
Little does he know, Owen isn't dead, but mortally wounded: the wolf's claws had pierved Owen's skin too deeply in many parts of his body. It is in the pain of the wounds and the rage of the betrayal that Owen transforms for the first time.
In this au, Owen wouldn't quite be the deadliest man alive, but the deadliest werewolf: he would've given in to his instincts and emotions, that are a swirl of anger, betrayal and grief. He'd use being a werewolf to become one of the monsters he and Curt used to hunt, luckily taking him with. It's an easier way to cope with his new self, it's an easier role to fill. After all, it's only a matter of time that one of the hunters gets him. He can give them a show before he goes.
(I must add that, although in this universe, werewolves are like really linked to their emotions, they can control themselves. Owen wouldn't be trying to do it tho, giving in to the bloodlust).
Cut to Curt, that would've retired after Owen's "death", as he wouldn't be able to kill anymore. However, after 4 years, the other werewolf hunters would ask him to return, as Owen would've been targetting hunters.
During the investigation, Curt would notice small things that reminds him of Owen in the places the wolf has allegedly been in. Curt would mostly attribute this to grief. Until he's face to face with Owen, and he cannot deny it anymore.
I'd like to think they'd start a long-term chase, à la One Step Ahead but longer, (or like Daisy and Basira in tma, iykwim), with both of them clashing and maybe talking? Ish? Through the violence? It would be enough to make Curt realize that, behind the wolf, Owen's still there.
However, instead of putting a (silver) bullet in his partner's brains, I think I'd be interesting to see Curt transforming too, and see both of them deal with it. Maybe it would fix them (certainly not, but wouldn't it be cool to see werewolf!curtwen fighting?)
TL;DR: I love lycanthropy as a metaphor of things, and Owen is the perfect fit for most of them (anger, rejection, being queer, being othered, etc.). Being a werewolf woulnd't fix him, it would make him worst, but maybe after like so many deaths it could save him! He might even be forced to get a healthy coping mechanism to deal with lycanthropy! And if Curt becomes a wolf too, he might finally understand the horrors of staying alive.

The Pregnant Resident (Andrew DeLuca x Alex Karev’s Sister Imagine)
Previous Chapter Here
Tumblr media
Age Rating: 12+
Chapters: Two of Four
Fandom: Grey’s Anatomy
Ship: Andrew DeLuca x Amber Karev (Alex Karev’s Sister)
Canon Episode: Season 19 Episode 2
AN: Happy Fourth of July guys! I hope you have a good day and enjoy this chapter. The final two chapters will be posted tomorrow and Saturday.
Warning: Some smut in the end.
Summary: Amber works at the pit where she finds it difficult to do her job while pregnant but persists and gets annoyed by Yasuda who was sent to help her at Alex’s request. At lunch she and Andrew go to the on-call room to have a moment alone.
Words: 3118
September 12th, 2022
Amber moves her feet around as she stands due to how swollen they are but focuses on the patient in the bed with a bandaged ankle. She examined the injury and is about to diagnose it to the young lady.
“Okay the ultrasound shows no broken bones so it’s your standard sprained ankle.” Amber groans a bit putting her hand against her own back as it flares up.
The woman looks at her concerned, “Are you okay? You look ready to have a baby right here.”
Amber nods, “Yeah, I’m fine. Already your just gonna ice it for the next 12 hours, be on bed rest for the next week and take ibuprofen for the pain, I’ll write you a prescription and send it to the pharmacy of your choosing.”
Amber pulls her pen out of her front pocket, but it falls with a clatter to the floor beside the bed. The youngest Karev sighs knowing the task ahead of her and how much she hates it. She bends down to reach for the pen, but her giant belly makes it impossible for her to reach. The patient looks on not knowing what to do since her ankle is sprained. Amber stands back up with a sigh.
“Forget it the pen lives there now.”
“I got it.” Alex Karev bends down with ease and picks up the pen handing it to Amber who quickly writes the prescription, hands it to the patient and walks away with her brother next to her.
“You know that is exactly why I carry at least 10 pens with me, show off.”
Alex chuckles leaning against the nurse’s station with Amber who updates the chart, “Most people would say thank you.”
“When have I ever striked you as ‘most people’?”
“Never.”
“Exactly and what are you doing here? I don’t remember calling a peds consult.” Amber’s mind jumps to a theory, “Did my husband send you down here to spy on me?”
“I wouldn’t dream of getting in the middle of a fight between you two.” Alex states flatly, “Altman has me here to observe Hunt while he does procedures.”
“I thought you had three surgeries for today?”
Alex groans, “I do but apparently watching Hunt while he suffers and Teddy smiling at it takes precedence. It’s either me or having the patients complain about the happy couple fighting again.”
“Lucky you.” Amber says sarcastically.
“Yeah, tell me about it.” Alex sees Amber stretch her neck clearly tired and in pain, “There’s this thing called maternity leave, you should look into it.”
Amber rolls her eyes, “There’s too many patients and not enough residents, I’ll take my leave in a couple of weeks.”
Alex nods but is still concerned for her, “Are you sure your okay?”
“I have to pee every five minutes; my breasts feel like their gonna explode with one poke and the baby only sleeps when her daddy reads one of my thrillers to her.” Amber coldly states before smiling and flipping her hair back like a model, “But I am glowing right?”
Alex grins, “Radiant. I’ll come back to check on you later.”
“Please don’t.” Amber orders before her brother leaves to observe Hunt.
Alex knocks outside the door of the exam room and sees Owen Hunt and Mika Yasuda helping a man on the bed while Teddy Altman is observing.
“Hey, I thought I was gonna observe him?”
“I’ll take you over Dr. Altman if that’s an option.” Owen bitterly states, causing Teddy to glare at him.
“Do I need to remind you why I'm here, Dr. Hunt?” Alex and Mika look uncomfortable from the ensuing fight.
Owen retorts back as he preps the ultrasound, “Well, it's been about 10 minutes since the last time, so, sure, knock yourself out.”
The patient Harold looks at all of them confused, “Are you all doctors?”
Owen addresses his wife, “Teddy, this is just an ultrasound.”
“So then it should go quick.” Teddy approaches the patient and his wife, “Hi, I'm Dr. Altman.”
Mika answers Harold’s question, “Yes, we are all doctors.”
“And you're all necessary?” He asks causing Alex to speak up.
“I’m not I gotta get back to the peds floor.”
“Sorry my wife wasted your time.” Owen says obviously to insult Teddy causing Alex to walk out of the room quickly.
Mika rushes to Alex after excusing herself from observing Dr. Hunt who is treating a patient while Altman observes and belittles him. She had enough of it as she looked for a way out and saw it when Alex walked in.
“Dr. Karev?”
Alex stops and looks at the young intern, “What is it Yasuda? Make it quick.”
“I can't work for Dr. Hunt because it means you're also working for Dr. Altman, which means you're working for velociraptors.” Mika elaborates to Alex’s annoyance, “They're vicious, can snap in an instant, but there is a mind-game component going on between those two that is so deep, it might destroy all of civilization.”
“You call that quick?”
“Can I be on your service instead of Dr. Hunt’s?” Mika pleads.
“No, I already have a resident.” Alex turns to leave when an idea goes off in his head that might be good for his sister who is clearly suffering in silence. He turns back to Yasuda, “You can’t be on my service, but you can be on my sisters, Amber DeLuca.” The intern looks hopeful, “You’ll be by her side and help her lessen her load by taking half her patients and going to her if you have questions.”
Mika sighs in relief, “Thank you so much sir.”
Alex presses his lips together knowing his sister too well, “Don’t thank me yet Yasuda. Go to the pit I’m sure the Hunt’s won’t notice if you’re missing.”
Yasuda runs straight to the pit where she finds Amber sitting behind the station working on charts on the desktop. She hurriedly approaches the pregnant resident already looking forward to working with her instead of Owen Hunt.
“Hi Dr. DeLuca, I’m Mika Yasuda the new intern here.”
“I know who you are.” Amber tells her blankly from her spot not bothering to look up, “What do you want? I’m busy in case you haven’t noticed.”
“I’ve been reassigned to your service.” Amber looks up with narrow eyes that intimidate Yasuda who clears her throat, “Your brother told me to help you in case you were struggling. Which I don’t think you are you seem very competent even at your state. Not that pregnant women are weak I think all pregnant women are strong and protective and glowing and-”
“Stop.” Amber orders and Mika closes her mouth obeying, “If I give you an assignment will you stop this rambling that is grossing out my baby?”
“Yes ma’am, I mean doctor.”
“Fine.” Amber holds up the almost empty Tum’s bottle, “I bought this on my way to work this morning, I need you to get me more antacids, so my chest doesn’t feel like it’s on fire and my stomach doesn’t feel so tied up.”
“I don’t think you’re supposed to take that many.” Amber glares at her causing Mika to gulp, “But what do I know? Antacids it is, anything else while I’m out?”
Amber thinks for a moment, “My lunch break is about to start, and the baby hates the cafeteria food. Go across the street to the Mexican food truck out front and get us chicken tacos, beef tacos and three meat tacos with lots of onions on the side.”
Mika looks alarmed, “I don’t think street meat is gonna help with the indigestion.”
Amber clasps her hands together and gives Yasuda a look that makes her take back her words, “Lots of onions got it.”
Yasude moves to exit the pit as Amber yells out, “And a ginger ale!”
“Got it!” Amber exhales content in her chair and sees a nurse giving her a look that pisses the pregnant woman off.
“What?” The nurse looks away when being called out, “Yeah that’s right lady no fetus, no opinion.”
Lunch
Andrew watches in shock as his wife chugs her ginger ale with a plate that once had three tacos empty after just five minutes of them sitting down. Amber soundly gulps her drink not noticing Andrew’s face in their two-person table in the corner of the cafeteria. After finishing the soda Amber loudly exhales content and full.
She sees the wide eyes on Andrew’s face, “What?”
“You just devoured an entire plate of tacos in less than five minutes. I don’t if I should be impressed or scared.”
“Hey when your baby wants street meat she demands street meat.” Amber reaches over and picks out a French fry from Andrew’s tray and eats it, “At least there’s one good side to having an overbearing brother who assigns an intern just to babysit you. Maybe I can get Yasuda to set up the nursery next.”
Andrew grins amused, “How’s the new job going?”
“Oh, so good I’ve already got them peeing in their scrubs.”
“I bet. How’s the baby?”
Amber sighs rubbing her pregnant belly, “She’s fine, she’s having a great nap while I treat patients who are more concerned about me going into labor in front of them than being treated for their injuries.”
“Can you blame them? The scrubs don’t exactly hide it.”
Amber grins at that, “So I heard that one of the college roommates are patient zero for an unknown illness. Are you working that case?”
“Yeah, I’m trying to go over similar cases over the years and sent Dr. Riley a list of the symptoms and pictures while the interns get deep into the books. I mean I have seen strange things in this hospital but septic shock due to bad rice is something new.”
“It makes me wish I was assigned to the OR instead.” Amber wipes her mouth with a napkin before deciding to change the subject, “Okay let’s get to the on-call room while we’re still on our break so we can have sex.”
Andrew is taken back by the sudden change and looks at Amber with wide eyes, “Where did that come from? I’m not complaining but that was a lightning-fast change from how you were five seconds ago.”
Amber shrugs, “The stupid hormones change my mood by the minute. One minute I’m hungry and the next I’m horny, it’s best to just ride it out before it passes.” Amber stands up, “You coming?”
Andrew eagerly nods, “Yeah absolutely yes.”
Amber walks away as Andrew takes a big bite of his sandwich before following her to the nearest on-call room where she shuts the door before turning to her husband and pulling him in for a kiss. Andrew holds Amber’s hips as he kisses her while her gorging belly stands between them, but it doesn’t stop them from going at each other like animals in heat.
Andrew moans against Amber’s mouth as her hands snake under his scrub top grazing his torso, “God I love the stupid hormones.”
Amber pulls back with a smile, “That makes one of us.” Amber resumes kissing him before taking his scrub top off exposing his rippled physique to her that she explores with her hands while kissing him deeply. She then pushes him to lie back in the single bed where he smiles in lust as she climbs up on top of him.
Andrew handles her very carefully holding her hips as she kisses him while straddling him. Their tongues overlap each other while Amber’s hands travel from his face to his neck and gradually trail down his torso causing him to moan at her gentle hands brushing against his skin. She finally reaches his bottoms ready to untie them when a knock on the door causing them to groan at the interruption and break apart.
Mika Yasuda’s voice is heard outside the door, “Dr. DeLuca I need you to come with me so you can observe Dr. Hunt while he diagnoses Mr. Peters while I observe him diagnosing him. Can you come out?”
Amber frowns at the annoying intern and faces her husband who looks pained by the bad timing, “Ignore her, she’ll go away.” Amber whispers to him.
“I was thinking the same thing.” Andrew whispers back before pulling her back toward him to kiss her and moans more softly as she unties his scrub bottom waist string. He is about to help her take them off when another knock interrupts them and another voice is heard.
“DeLuca, I know you’re in there Yasuda saw you go in two minutes ago.” The couple register it as Owen Hunt who sounds annoyed, “I hate to do this to you, but I need someone aside from my wife to interfere in my work and you annoy me less so come on out!”
“I am gonna kill him!” Amber says frustrated before getting off him so she can handle the intrusions.
Andrew tries to call her off to no avail, “No Amber wait.”
Amber ignores him and opens the door wide open causing Hunt and Yasuda to look on in shock at who answered the door and DeLuca on the bed shirtless sitting up on his elbows clearly embarrassed.
Amber ignores the stares and gets to the point, “No Hunt, Dr. DeLuca cannot observe you while you do subpar procedures because he is busy trying to give his pregnant wife an orgasm. So go find Altman, suck it up and stop bothering us or your gonna have another angry blonde to deal with during work, got it?!” She slams the door in their faces before they even answer, and she turns to face her husband who looks at her frightened and slightly turned on.
Amber exhales before calming down and asking her husband, “Where were we?”
Andrew pops his mouth, “I think you were about to take off my pants.”
“Right thanks for the reminder.” Amber resumes kissing her husband as she straddles him while he gently holds her above him.
Thirty Minutes Later
Simone Griffith stands outside the on-call room waiting for the door to open so she can use the room to sleep. She rolls her eyes at the couple in there who are clearly using the room for private time evident by the male and female moans coming from the other side as well as the thumping.
Lucas Adams and Benson Kwan walk up to her also looking for some rest but the sight of her outside makes Blue groan.
“Don’t tell me.”
“It’s locked.” Simone answers.
Lucas looks up at the ceiling, “Well are they sleeping or…?” The sounds of Amber and Andrew moaning inside answer his question, “Do people ever just sleep in there?”
“After maybe.” Simone sighs.
“Who’s in there anyway?” Kwan asks.
“The DeLuca’s.” Kwan looks confused causing Simone to explain, “The pregnant Dr. DeLuca is married to guy Dr. DeLuca.”
Kwan looks perplexed at another married couple in the hospital, “I know we don’t have lives outside this hospital but so far I’m wondering if there’s a wedding chapel for the doctors here based on how many of them are married to each other.”
“And how many rooms they occupy.” Simone bitterly says before giving up, “Forget it the chair inside the supply closet is comfortable. Let’s go before she catches us and makes us do scut until she gives birth.” The three of them walk away from the outside of the door.
Later
Amber stretches her neck in satisfaction as she sits up under the covers in her black tank top while Andrew jumps off the bed in his underwear and pulls up his navy scrub bottoms. Despite their recent powwow both spouses are ready to head back to work.
Andrew smiles at his good fortune today as he pulls up his pants, “Have I mentioned how much I love the hormones?”
Amber grabs her scrub top from the floor still sitting on the single bed, “You mentioned it and I secretly lashed out at you for it because you’re not the one growing a person inside your body and feeling more disgusting by the minute.”
Andrew grins at that, “You look beautiful. We wouldn’t have done what we just did if I didn’t find you as sexy as I did six months ago.”
“Six months ago, I could still see my feet.” Amber reminds him as she puts her top on and grabs her bottoms from the bed while her husband sits next to her holding his scrub top. He looks at her concerned knowing despite her bravado she’s tired.
“You know I can get Qadri to take over the pit while you rest. I’m sure you need it after the marathon we just did.”
Amber pulls her bottom on and raises an eyebrow at her overbearing husband, “You’re not looking to rest either.”
“Yes, but I’m the only one in this room who can see my feet.” Andrew teases causing Amber to playfully smack his arm, “Seriously I’m sure Qadri and Parker wouldn’t mind giving you a few hours to nod off. It’s the perk of you being the chief resident.”
Amber pulls out a beef jerky stick from her bottoms and chomps off a piece chewing as she speaks, “Being the chief resident means you never take a break unless you want your interns to kill people and you get blamed for it. And with this class the odds of them causing an accidental overdose while I look away for five seconds are alarmingly high. You wouldn’t understand because you had me as a resident when you were the chief, and I was practically a god send.”
Andrew grins at that, “Well aside from you I had not so god sent residents to look after. It took everything in me not to drown myself in the paperwork or be sent to jail for murdering Schmitt.”
Amber slowly gets off the bed and stands up with a groan, “And now the baton has been passed down to me I gotta get back to the pit before Hunt and Altman use the patients as human shields for their next fight. And don’t worry I have Yasuda to help until she pisses me off and I send her home crying.”
Andrew sighs putting his top on as he stands in front of Amber, “Promise me you will call a resident to take over once you feel like passing out. Please.”
“I will now I have to go; I’ll see you at the pit.” Amber kisses her husband before waddling out of the room while her husband watches her in worry as she closes the door behind her.

I can't break up with you
Tumblr media
"I'm sorry, Owen. But you're my attending and we..- I can't do this. It's wrong and I'm not gonna risk my career over a stupid heart!"
You basically yelled at him before you stormed past Meredith and a few baffled nurses at the pit. You were an intern. The only intern for trauma as well. You and Owen had been in a relationship for a few weeks now after Karev couldn't keep his mouth shut about your crush on Dr. Hunt. The news made rounds like a raging wildfire and that's how Owen found out eventually.
"Y/N... I... I want you. You understand that, right? I love you and I know you want to marry me and have kids... Which I want as well. (Y/N)..."
Owen pleaded but you scoffed and whirled around before you marched towards him.
"Owen... I do love you. It's just-"
He cut you off with a kiss. Your first instinct was to push him away but you didn't. Instead, you kissed him back ever so softly and melted under his touch until you both had to break away for air.
"Damnit. I can't break up with you."
You admitted which made him grin.
"I know."

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997, Steven Spielberg)
19/03/2024
The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a 1997 film directed by Steven Spielberg, sequel to Jurassic Park and inspired by the novel The Lost World by Michael Crichton.
The franchise continued with Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
Four years have passed since the dramatic events at Jurassic Park. Professor Ian Malcolm, one of the survivors, is contacted again by the now ex-head of InGen, John Hammond, and informed that Isla Nublar, the place where the park stood, was in reality just a showcase for tourists. In fact, the prehistoric creatures were actually created on nearby Isla Sorna, the so-called "Site B" where, following the destruction of the fences caused by the hurricane called Clarissa, they were able to escape from their cages and live undisturbed without the whole world knowing, but now the target of her greedy and corrupt nephew, Peter Ludlow, eager to plunder her to recreate a "city Jurassic Park" in San Diego. At first Malcolm, knowing the very high risks, declines the proposal but, discovering that his girlfriend, the paleontologist Sarah Harding, has already gone to the place, he decides to leave immediately to bring her back, aided by the photographer Nick Van Owen and the engineer Eddie Carr.
Not long after Peter Ludlow, together with a team of hunters led by Roland Tembo, arrives on Isla Sorna to begin the capture of some dinosaurs and in particular, an adult male specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex.
After a day's march, Dieter Stark, Tembo's deputy, loses his life in the jungle, devoured alive by the small Compsognathus and that same night the camp is attacked by T-Rexes, attracted by the smell of the puppy's blood left impregnated on the jacket by Sarah. In the general escape, the hunting team crosses an expanse of tall grass falling victim to an ambush by seven Velociraptors; despite this, Ian, Sarah, Nick and Kelly manage to reach the communications center, where Nick requests reinforcements from the mainland while the others have to deal with the Raptors.
Jeff Goldblum is Professor Ian Malcolm: a mathematician expert in chaos theory. He is, together with Hammond (and with the exception of the children, who only appear in a brief cameo), the only main character from the first chapter to also reappear in the sequel. At the end of the first film, Malcolm managed to escape from Isla Nublar, and during these four years he revealed the facts of Jurassic Park to the public.
Julianne Moore is Dr. Sarah Harding, Ian Malcolm's girlfriend.

Doctor Y/n - Attending Orthopedic Surgeon - 9 - Grey's Anatomy x Fem!Reader
Peeling back the duvet, you glanced down at the sleeping Allison who had snuck into the bed again whilst you asleep.
"Good morning Ally, time to get up before Luna starts her alarm call for your auntie Joey." You watched as the sleeping child began to stir from her dreamland.
///
"Joey, I'm going to get in the shower!" You declared after Owen had picked up Allison to take her and Leo to the park, bonding time for the children with Owen's mother, plus his sister Megan and her son Farouk.
Teddy was already at work, so you took your shower alone whilst Jo was up with Luna already in the kitchen when you heard the knock at the door and Jo going to answer it.
"Why are you dressed like a pigeon?"
"I'm a phoenix! Phoenix Fest!" Schmitt defended his costume, "what happened to your hair? Are you having a nervous breakdown?"
"No! I was trying to lighten my hair a few shades but I fell asleep, and Braces is in the shower after staying up with Allison who wouldn't sleep. I try to study when Luna's sleeping and Teddy and Braces have Allison and also Leo and Rory who visit now, but- help me!" Jo got louder and louder as she prepared a bottle for Luna.
"Do you have scissors?" Schmitt carefully asked, grimacing as Luna began to cry and Jo sighed.
///
"Okay, I will see you two later!" You nodded to Jo, then glancing at Luna before getting out of the car, not seeing Jo fail to follow as you headed into Grey Sloan for your shift.
"Tandem cyclists crashed. Rider in the back flew about 10 feet, she's hypotensive and presents with numbness in her legs, possible spinal fractures." Nico explained as he caught up to where you had caught up with Link.
"Swell." Link's smile was fake, reminding you of how he had turned up at the penthouse needing a place to crash after his proposal to Amelia went south.
"Might want to lose the happy face. Patient might be paralysed." Nico replied as you raised an eyebrow, realising things were probably even worse than you thought.
"I don't want to look how I feel, Nico, which is like I want to break the whole world into a million pieces and bury it so no one can find it." Link put on another fake smile as the three of you grabbed gloves.
"Maybe we should take this one then?" You offered, gesturing between yourself and Nico, the patient talking about how her wife had steered the bike into a family's day out in the park, and a nearby priest who had been visiting the duck pond.
"Y/n, her wife, Ms Correa, bed three." Winston instructed you, and as you headed over to the patient bed in question, you were glad it was you Winston sent, and not Link, as Amelia's face broke into a smile at seeing you.
"Can someone make sure that the priest is okay?"
"Priest?" Your nose crinkled in confusion, looking to Amelia for an explanation.
"They ran over a priest visiting the duck pond."
///
Nico, Link and Amelia were in the OR whilst you were in the ER, looking for anyone who could help Schmitt restore a patient's face after blasting it off with illegal fireworks, a patient who was apparently on shrooms.
It was Webber who returned with a plastics candidate who was interviewing.
"Did you pull that doctor from the interview-"
"We needed a plastics surgeon, I gave privileges." Webber replied, heading to go try to re-arrange the interview with Dr Lin, whilst you were prowling the ER for ortho cases.
///
"Y/n!" Megan Hunt spotted you almost immediately after having calmed Owen down from the fact that a priest had died after colliding with bikes that had almost hit his family, including Allison and Leo.
"Hello, Megan!" You froze for a moment before the woman pulled you into a hug.
"Come on, we're all going to the bar to raise a class for Father Christopher, and I haven't seen you in ages but Allison kept asking for her mommy and mama at the park today." Megan smiled, looking over at where Teddy was watching you both with a smile on her face.
///
Two incoming message(s)
Link: Found Jo sat in her car in the car park.
Link: She couldn't take Luna in to daycare and leave her.
One unread message
Link: What happened to Jo's hair?
Y/n: sleep deprivation and a hair lightening kit
You barely managed to type a reply to Link before Allison was in front of you, her hands on your knees wanting up.
///
"Okay I'm not going to tell you how to parent your son, but this is not going in Luna's bag. Hey, Braces, is Ally finally asleep?" Jo spotted you wrapped in a blanket, looking exhausted but you still tried to help with Link and Jo preparing the bags for Luna and Scout.
Especially since Amelia had headed to Minnesota, and Scout had decided to stop sleeping through the night.
"Teddy is dropping Leo off at Owen's, I think Scout is asleep and my job is now to try save Elsa's cape which ended up in the dishwasher? Leo's world, we just live in it." You concluded as you began to examine the remains of the cape.
"Too bad Jackson left, this cape needs plastics to restore it, and I don't think I can ship it to Boston."
///
"All of the children are at daycare, one form or another. Cody texted me a photo of Rory and everything... and Arizona just texted me a photo of Sofia, wow it's been forever since I've seen them!"
"Should we shelve the Elsa costume?" Teddy enquired, confusing you and Owen with the new conversation topic.
"What?" Owen frowned whilst you jumped to wanting an explanation.
"Why?"
"You know, put Leo in more t-shirts and jeans? Just, is that the right parenting move?" Teddy asked, glancing between you and Owen, before reaching for your hand as she noticed you shift nervously.
"Did something happen?" Owen enquired but Teddy shook it off.
"None of the other kids at daycare are wearing costumes, so I just..."
"I think Leo should decide what Leo wants to wear. I didn't have much growing up, clothes especially. Costumes of characters never happened, so I think... I am being called." You headed out as the scans were up for Owen and Teddy's patient.
///
Amelia calling you from Minnesota took you by surprise as you headed into the Residents Olympics, sitting with Jo and Link.
"I found a strawberry in my patient."
"Back in med school, I found a yam." Link added, eating more crisps before putting bets on the residents.
"Brussel sprouts. Plural." You added in, making Jo and Link look at you in shock.
///
"Look at you two, breaking rules and saving lives. Too bad I prefer Teddy with Y/n than my own brother." Megan Hunt sassed as Owen looked offended and Teddy tried not to laugh.
You were completely in the dark about their patient, and the actions that would follow everything.
///
Your phone buzzed with an email, opening your phone to see Callie had sent you a research article to read. You barely had time to open it as Jo sent a message to you.
Joey: please hurry home, Link is singing depressing lullabies
"I'm worried, I want Leo to be okay in the world, what if-"
"What if we let him be himself?" Owen suggested, smiling as he spotted you sat on the floor of the daycare, helping Leo put on Elsa's cape.
"I'm worried that the world won't be kind. I'm worried that it will be hard. I'm worried that people will be cruel." Teddy confessed, her eyes lingering on where you were grinning and singing Let It Go with Leo and Allison.
"Maybe they will be. Y/n has seen more hardship and cruelty as a child than any child should, but despite my first judgements, S/n is great with the kids. Leo's happy, let's just let him be happy, okay?" Owen suggested, smiling as Leo spotted them both and made a beeline, whilst you pushed the pushchair that Allison had been put in.
"Let's get you all home." You barely heard what Owen said as Teddy walked over to you, holding Leo in her arms but leaning in to kiss your cheek.
"Hi, love. How was your day?"

resonance (steve harrington x superpower! reader) chapter seven
Tumblr media
masterlist | previous chapter | next chapter
content warning for blood n gore!
“I said Dr. Sam Owens,” Hopper’s irritated tone floated through the Byers' house once you popped back into the living room, damp boots and hunting knife in hand. You startled Nancy, who was hovering nervously in the hallway, giving Jonathan space while he sat with his unconscious brother.
Giving her an apologetic smile for the fright, you headed to the kitchen and nodded at Steve, who was leaning against the counter. “Did I miss much?” you muttered and began braiding your damp hair.
“What, was I supposed to count the bodies?” the older man growled into the receiver, shaking his head angrily. “I don’t know how many people are left alive in there!”
“Not really,” Steve replied. “Chief’s been on the phone since you left,” he gave your blood-free outfit a glance and coughed. “Could be going better, though.”
“I am the goddamn police!” The man in question yelled. “I’m fuckin' Chief Jim Hopper!”
“They didn't believe you, did they?” Mike asked Hopper when he eventually slammed the phone, fuming.
“We’ll see,” he hedged before nodding at your clean state. “That was a quick shower. You get any blood on my floor?”
“We’ll see?” the boy cried before you could reply. “We can’t just sit here while those things are loose!”
Raising your eyebrows at his attitude, you remained silent and finished your elaborate braid, flicking it over your shoulder. You looked knowingly at the man. “I teleported into the bathtub, so no." You swallowed, thinking of how much red had went down the drain. "Clean as a whistle.”
Choosing to ignore Mike as well, Hopper asked as nonchalantly as he could. “Is the cat inside?”
Plopping onto the hard tile floor, you set to work drying off the boots with a dish towel, sending a nod to Max when she shuffled over to sit next to you. “Nope.” El appeared to be sleeping on a bus, for reasons unbeknownst to you, heading back to Hawkins from God knows where. She appeared safe in the void, but seemed to have gotten a makeover since she’d been gone.
“It’s still weird that you two live together,” Dustin shook his head.
Hopper’s condensed version of how you met when you arrived at the Byers’ earlier left something to be desired, simply telling the group that he had rescued you in the forest. No one asked questions.
You all had other things to worry about, after all.
“Can we please focus on the problem?” Mike burst out. “Why aren’t we going to do anything?”
Hopper visibly resisted snapping at him, sending a tired glance your way. “We’re going to stay here and wait for help.”
You cleared your throat at the deflated look the boy wore and tipped your head towards the hallway, looking back at Hopper. “Have you checked on her?”
The man shook his head. Sighing, he trudged down to the room where Joyce had remained inside since your group arrived, lightly knocking before entering.
“Did you guys know that Bob was the original founder of Hawkins AV?” The younger Wheeler asked the group (mostly Dustin and Lucas) after a few moments of silence. He was fiddling with a box in his hands.
You felt your throat tighten, flashes of the man's body flickered in your mind against your will. Your eye twitched and you continued to wipe at the shoes.
Dustin hummed. “Really?”
“Yeah,” Mike said, looking sadly at a stack of puzzles on the table. “He petitioned the school to start it and everything,” he smiled wistfully. “Pretty awesome, right?”
The other two boys agreed.
“We can't let him die in vain." Mike stood up suddenly, wearing a stern expression. "We can’t.”
“Well, what do you want us to do, Mike?” Dustin said, throwing his arms up. “The Chief's right on this. We can't stop those demodogs on our own.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at the dumbfounded look on Wheeler's face. He scrunched his eyebrows. “Demodogs?”
“Demogorgon,” Dustin sighed, clearly irritated at explaining the word for the nth time that night. “Dogs. Demo dogs. It's like a compound!” he rolled his eyes at Mike’s blank stare. “You know, a play on words?”
“I know what a compound is Dustin!” he hissed before rolling his eyes back at him. “There has to be something we can do.”
“Maybe when it was just Dart we could fight them off," Lucas said. "But there’s a whole army of them now.”
“Precisely.”
“You couldn’t even fight Dart,” Steve snorted. “You shitbirds let us do that for you, remember?”
“His army!” Mike exclaimed, ignoring him. “The demodogs are his army! Maybe if we stop him, we can stop them, too.”
That got your attention.
“Whoa, whoa whoa, no!” Steve was already shaking his head when you stood back up, mostly-dry boots tugged back on your feet. “No way!”
“No way what?” Hopper walked back in.
“You said his army,” you cut in aggressively, jumping closer to the kids and startling them a little with your sudden participation. “Who’s he?”
“Um.” Mike blinked at your close proximity and went to pick up a paper from the counter that had a drawing of a monster on it. “The shadow monster,” he said, handing you the paper. You frowned, it looked like a big ass spider. “It got Will that day on the field,” Mike explained. “The doctor told us it was like a virus. It infected him.”
“Like in The Evil Dead.” Steve mused. “It’s possessing him?”
You bit your lip. The shadow monster.
A bout of dread churned through you at the thought of just who he could be.
“And so this virus, this monster,” Max said, glancing between you and the paper. “It’s connecting Will to the tunnels?”
“Tunnels?” your eyes widened. “Ho-hold on,” you stammered, abruptly turning towards the many papers haphazardly taped on the walls. “Is that what these are?” you all but sprinted to the wall nearest you, where what was now clear to you as tunnels trailed out into the living room.
You hadn’t had time to ask about Joyce’s choice of interior design when you’d first arrived.
“To the tunnels, monsters, the Upside Down,” Mike confirmed. “It’s connecting Will to everything.”
A small whimper escaped you. Fucking hell. Your heartbeat skyrocketed looking at the series of papers creeping along the walls, turning to glance fearfully at the boys and then back around to the wall you were closest to.
“Slow down, Jesus,” Steve ran a hand through his hair, shooting a concerned look in your direction.
Not here. You squeezed your eyes shut. Not now.
“Okay, so, the shadow monster is inside everything,” Mike mused, ignoring your outburst. “And if the vines feel something like pain, then so does Will.”
“And so do the demodogs,” you heard Lucas say. “Like Dart.”
They were speaking back and forth incredibly fast, clearly all thinking the same thing. Not that it really mattered to you; they might as well have been underwater. Putting a hand against the wall, you stared blankly at the paper in front of you and breathed heavily, trying to tune back into the conversation.
“It’s like what Mr. Clarke taught us,” Lucas said excitedly. “The hive mind.”
“Hive mind?” Steve asked.
 “A collective consciousness. It's a super-organism. And this is the thing that controls everything. It's basically the brain—”
“—like the Mind Flayer!”
“The what?” Max and Steve asked in unison, causing someone, you weren’t sure who, as you couldn’t look away from the papers, to run down the hallway.
Get it together, you scolded yourself, blinking rapidly at the hues of blue that weaved along the wall. You’ve got a monster to worry about, which is probably the one that sent you here in the first place. Why Henry would want to be a freaky spider monster, you weren’t too sure.
It’s okay. You shuddered, taking a deep breath. It’s not like they want to go frolicking in the tunnels. Turning around, you rejoined the group that now included Jonathan and Nancy. Bury the fear, you told yourself. Refocus on the problem at hand.
It was Mike who ran back into the kitchen, slamming a large book on the table as everyone crowded around it. The boys explained over each other, describing the monster that they thought was terrorizing poor Will.
“It's a monster from an unknown dimension—”
“—so ancient that it doesn't even know its true home—”
“—enslaves races of other dimensions by taking over their brains using its highly-developed psionic powers—”
“—Oh, my God, none of this is real!” Hopper finally lamented, wiping a hand down his face. “This book is just from that kids game you play!” He called out your name. “Help me out here!”
You couldn’t help but shrug. “To be fair, it’s not like I ever thought monsters like the demodogs existed before I came here,” you peered down at the spider-like creature in the book, missing the look of delight Dustin briefly wore at you using his name for the monster. “Why couldn’t this one be real as well?” And I’m from the future, you thought. Someone could tell you pigs were flying and you wouldn’t be surprised.
“Thank you!” Dustin exclaimed. “And this isn’t a game, Chief, it’s a manual,” he argued, his tone full of sass. “And unless you know something that we don't, this is the best metaphor—”
“—Analogy,” Lucas cleared his throat, correcting him.
You snorted at the look on the curly-haired boy’s face. “Really Lucas?” he asked snarkily. “Analogy? That's what you're worried about?” He rolled his eyes. “Fine. An analogy for understanding whatever the hell this monster is.”
Nancy sighed. “Okay, so this mind flamer thing—”
“— Flayer . Mind Flayer.”
Her eye twitched. “What does it want?”
“To conquer us, basically,” Dustin explained. “It believes it's the master race.”
“Right.” Steve nodded along. “Like the Germans!”
Eight pairs of eyes blinked at him. “Um,” Dustin squinted at him. “Do you mean the Nazis?”
“Yes!” He snapped his fingers and despite the situation, you couldn’t help the tug of your lips at how proud he looked. “The Nazis!”
“I mean, sure?” Dustin paused. Hopper rubbed his face in exasperation and looked at you before tilting his head at Steve, clearly questioning your claim that he would eventually one day become Chief.
Dustin continued. “If the Nazis were from another dimension, then yeah…totally.  Uh, it views other races, like us, as inferior to itself.”
Mike pointed at a paragraph in the book. “It wants to spread, take over other dimensions.”
“If this is the same monster we’re dealing with,” Lucas finished somberly. “Then we are talking about the destruction of our world as we know it.”
Nancy ignored Steve’s panicked outburst at the cheerful statement, leaning in closer to look at the book. “Okay, so if this thing is like a brain that's controlling everything, then if we kill it…”
“We kill everything it controls,” Mike finished.
“We win.” Dustin said.
“Theoretically,” Lucas added.
“Fantastic,” Hopper stated dryly. “So how do you kill this thing? Shoot it with Fireballs or something?”
Dustin chuckled. “No. No fireballs. Um, you summon an undead army, uh, because,” he stammered, looking to his other friends for help. “You know, because zombies… they don't have brains, and the Mind Flayer, it… it... It likes brains? This is a game,” he broke off, shaking his head. “It’s just a game.”
Your eyes shot skyward as Hopper groaned and slapped the table. “What the hell are we doing here?”
“I thought we were waiting for your military backup!” Dustin sneered.
“We are!”
Mike pointed to the book. “How could they stop this anyway? You can't just shoot this with guns.”
“You don't know that!”
Lucas put his head in his hands. “We don't know anything!”
Mike shook his head, straightening his spine to continue arguing with Hopper. You looked on with mild respect. The kid didn’t know how to give up. “We know it's already killed everybody in that lab. We know the monsters are gonna molt again. We know that it's only a matter of time before those tunnels reach this town.” You felt your heart stutter again. “So we need to do something. ”
“He’s right.” An angry, tear-stricken Joyce stood in the entryway, making your heart clench a little. “We have to kill it. I want to kill it.”
“Me, too,” Jonathan agreed, putting an arm around his mother.
"Me, too, Joyce, okay?" Hopper looked pained, his expression softening at the woman. “Believe me, I want it dead too. But how do we do that? We don't exactly know what we're dealing with here.”
“From what they said,” you spoke up faintly, eyes flickering worriedly to the illustrations on the wall again. “It sounds like Will does.”
“She’s right,” Mike nodded. “If anyone knows how to destroy this thing, it's Will. He's connected to it. He'll know its weakness.”
“I thought we couldn't trust him anymore,” Max furrowed her eyebrows. “Isn’t he a spy for the Mind Flayer now?”
Nancy breathed, excitedly meeting her brother’s eyes. “He can't spy if he doesn't know where he is.”
“You okay, kid?” You jerked, almost slamming the piece of plywood you were holding into Hopper’s face. “Sorry. How's your cut?”
“Just stings a little,” you relaxed, walking towards the backyard with him. It was decided that Will would be placed in a blacked-out shed to confuse the Mind Flayer. “Nothing I can't handle. Hop. But it’s just,” you said, adjusting the wood in your hands and frowning. “The monster controlling Will, what if it’s… him ?”
“Henry?” he asked, sighing when you nodded. The two of you passed Steve and Nancy, who seemed to be having a serious talk while gathering more materials to cover the shed with. “Could be,” he shrugged. “Course, that would mean that Henry was who got Will last year, too,” a frown graced his face. “Which would make a lot of sense, actually. Why the hell didn’t I think of that sooner?” He muttered, scratching his chin with the hammer he was holding thoughtfully. “Do you think it’s him?”
“Probably.” You adjusted the wood in your arms and grimaced. “It’s too much of a coincidence for it to be a different evildoer, right?”
He groaned. “I fucking hope not. Chief of Police doesn’t pay nearly enough for handling more than one. Best if we just have the one instead.”
You shuddered, thinking of the group that was now faced with defending Hawkins from evil for a second time. “How are you all so… calm about this?” you shook your head. “I thought another dimension and monsters would make people more…”
“Scared?” he offered. “Freaked out?”
“It's these kids,” Hopper sighed when you nodded. “They grew up playing that damn game and reading comic books, I think they’re the only people in the world who would see actual monsters and be excited about it.” You chuckled, setting the wood down inside of the shed. “They’ve met real-life superheroes, kid,” he nudged you playfully. “More than one now. They’re scared, no doubt, but this is still an adventure to them.”
“They’re reckless,” you whispered.
“Someone else has always been around to save them,” he shrugged, and suddenly you were back in the living room of your old house, listening to your mother weave a not-so-happy bedtime story of just what could happen to kids who acted reckless. “Hey, don’t worry,” he said gently, misinterpreting your shift in demeanor. “Everything’s gonna be okay. We did this once before and managed to keep everyone safe.”
Swallowing, you looked up at him, feeling just as young as you really were. “And the tunnels?”
“What about them?” He squinted. “Wait, is that why you were staring at the wall earlier?” A sigh was released when his question was met with silence. “The tunnels,” he said. “That’s how those dogs are getting around town, they go all the way to the lab.”
You shuddered. “And we have no reason to go in them, right?”
“Hell no.” He looked at you strangely. “I got stuck down there yesterday, really don’t recommend it. Relax,” he laughed at your panicked expression. “Those kids might be reckless, but they’re smart. They won’t go charging into danger, let alone those tunnels. Don’t worry about it.”
You remained silent the rest of the time you worked, praying he was right.
Once the shed was covered and deemed unrecognizable, you went inside to wait with Steve, Nancy, and the kids, save for Mike, while Hopper carried an unconscious Will out back.
“How can you even be hungry?” Lucas shuddered, watching you rummage through the fridge after a few minutes of silence. The group had panned out, loitering nervously throughout the house. “You know, with all the shit you saw in the hospital.”
“Lucas!” Max shot him a nasty glare, causing him to wilt a little.
You smiled. I knew I liked her.
“What?” he argued. “It was a lot of blood! I’m just saying, I’d be too grossed out to eat right now if I had to kill those things and watch someone die.”
Your smile faltered. “Well it's a good thing you didn't have to.” You leaned against the fridge door, knowing he wasn't trying to be rude. “I spent most of today fighting those damn dogs so I’m pretty wiped out. If it’s alright with you, I’m gonna eat something not necessarily because I want to,” you said, raising an eyebrow at him. “But because if we get attacked again, it won’t do us any good if I pass out. Using my power takes up energy,” you said, spinning back around to dig through the fridge and grab a jar of jelly before blanching at the sight of the bright red color. “Unless, of course, you and your wrist rocket are gonna take on that army by yourself?”
“If he finds out where we are,” Dustin said hesitantly, watching you make a face and put the jar back, choosing instead to make a plain peanut butter sandwich. “Do you think he’ll send those dogs after us?”
“He won't find out,” Lucas insisted.
“Yeah, but, if he does…”
“Then we're fucked,” Max deadpanned, just as the lights in the house started to flicker.
“And on that note,” you hummed cheerfully, gesturing towards the kitchen light. “I’m gonna go sit while I still can.” You grabbed your finished sandwich and a glass of water before strolling out into the hallway, avoiding the tunnels that crept along the wall with you.
Choosing to sit on the couch beside Nancy, you nibbled delicately at your sandwich in a way you knew wouldn’t cause any crumbs to fall, watching Steve swing his bat aimlessly in the corner of the room as the ticking clock above him alerted you that it was nearing 9 p.m.
“So,” Nancy hesitated, watching you eat with curious eyes. “You have powers.”
You licked peanut butter off of your finger. “Yup.”
“Like Eleven.”
Shrugging, you took another bite. “So they tell me.”
“But," she paused again. "You’re not from the lab.”
“Nope.”
She frowned.
You almost wanted to smile. Gotta try harder than that, Wheeler.
“How long do you plan on staying in Hawkins?” Steve asked suddenly, leaning on his studded bat.
“Not sure.” You swallowed the rest of your sandwich, making sure no residue remained on your lips.
“Why?” Nancy’s tone was pressing. “Don't wanna go back home?”
You raised your eyebrows, taking a sip of water so you wouldn’t laugh at her determination. “No home to go back to,” you said evenly.
“Oh,” Steve, the actual angel, replied, looking genuinely sad for you. “I’m sorry.”
“Could be worse,” you shrugged, placing the glass back down on the coffee table. You started a little at Nancy’s wide, unblinking eyes.
“You’re lying.” Nancy’s accusation made you finally bark out a laugh.
“Nancy!” Steve scolded. “She’s not on trial here.”
She blinked at him incredulously. “You’ve only known her for one night, Steve, and you’re defending her?”
The against me went unspoken. “Yikes,” you couldn’t help but let out. “Can we not drag me into whatever this is?”
They ignored you.
“Uh yeah, I am!” Steve nodded furiously. “She saved all of us, Nance! Multiple times!” He cried, swinging his bat to rest on his shoulder. “And you’re interrogating her like you think she’s a monster!”
“She’s a stranger, sue me for being cautious,” she scoffed. “She obviously lied to us in the store, she’s probably lying about how she ended up here too.”
“The store?” you repeated, eyes curiously bouncing between the two.
Nancy’s face tightened, almost like she was angry you dared to join the conversation. “You said you were trying to cheer up someone, a girl who couldn’t go outside on Halloween.”
Movement out of the corner of your eye alerted you to an audience currently peeking from the kitchen at the noise. Little eavesdroppers.
“And from what Hopper just told us,” she said. “That can’t be true,” she tilted her head tauntingly.
“Oh, so you do remember Halloween night?” Steve laughed harshly, causing the girl’s face to drop guiltily.
“Steve…”
“No, Nancy!” he held a hand up. “You know what? Who cares if she’s lying? She fought those things with me, a total stranger,” you winced internally. “and then she ran into the lab without thinking twice for Will and your brother! She saved us all practically by herself and is still helping us now even when she doesn’t have to! I think she’s entitled to a few secrets.”
“She didn’t save everyone,” Nancy snapped defensively, freezing once she realized what she had said.
You swore the temperature dropped twenty degrees as you looked up at her expressionless, grateful the sharp pain that splintered across your chest didn’t reflect on your face. Nancy couldn’t hide the panicked glance she sent towards your hands, which were thrumming with energy.
You would’ve snorted if you weren’t so upset. Not with Nancy, of course, but with yourself.
She wasn’t wrong, after all.
The door to the kitchen suddenly slammed open before you could say anything to the girl, sending you into fight mode. You quickly teleported into the room, everyone else following closely behind. Hopper was furiously scribbling on a notepad at the table. “What happened?”
“Will,” he rushed out. “He’s tapping on his chair.” Finally, he leaned back, allowing you to look. “I think he's talking, just not with words. We just have to keep Will, or the thing inside him, anyways, distracted while he tells us.”
“What is that?” Steve asked, and all of you hovered around the dots and dashes that littered the paper.
“Morse code,” you replied along with multiple people, nodding your head in approval.  “He’s smart.”
“H-E-R-E,” Nancy read.
“Here,” the group said in unison.
“Will's still in there,” Hopper explained. “He’s saying something to us.”
“Looks like we got a plan after all,” Dustin grinned.
…........
The harsh words Nancy said were tabled for later, you supposed, as you all hastily repeated the corresponding letters to Will’s morse code that Hopper sent via walkie-talkie. The celebration of the resulting phrase “CLOSE GATE” was short-lived, however, as the Byers’ phone began to shrilly ring, sending you all into a frenzy.
“Who the hell is even calling this late?” Lucas yelled. The panic that filled you was swift and sudden, and rather than waste any more time you threw a hand in the direction of the phone, swiftly ripping it from the wall and sending it hurtling down the hall.
You made a mental note to apologize to Joyce later.
“Do we, uh, think Will heard that?” Dustin asked, glancing around the house.
“It’s just a phone,” Steve frowned. “Couldn’t it be from anywhere?”
A horrible shrieking, familiar to most of you, filled the air.
Wryly, you stretched your arms out and flicked your braid over your shoulder while the kids flew to the windows, looking for any sign of the dogs on the horizon. “Guess that answers that question.”
“Shit!” The kitchen door bounced off the wall once more, revealing the rest of the group and an unconscious Will. “Get away from the windows!” Hopper yelled to the kids, lugging two guns inside. “Can you use this?” he asked you, holding a shotgun out.
The look on your face was priceless as you scoffed, waving your hands out dramatically. "Right." Nodding sheepishly, he asked the group the question again at large, ultimately handing it to, surprisingly, Nancy.
“Alright,” You pushed over the kids heads to look outside, nodding a little. “I’ll be right back.”
“What?” The vein on Hopper’s forehead pulsed angrily. “You’re not going out there.”
“I’m the first line of defense, Hop,” you rolled your eyes, pointing at yourself. “I ate a sandwich, I’ll be fine!”
He sputtered in response and without much of a farewell, you made sure to grab the hunting knife and teleported outside, hearing a faint “ ...away from the goddamn windows!” when you gracefully stepped down the front porch.
You shook out your shoulders, clocking the creatures that were already creeping in from the tree line, the single street light at the edge of the driveway casting a particularly horrifying glow on their shadows.
“Shit,” you shuddered, unable to remain as confident as you appeared in the house. No matter how much it thrilled you to fight, you couldn’t help but be nervous. You had no idea how many dogs were watching you.
It didn’t matter, you resolved. No matter what, you wouldn’t let them kill someone else. You spared a glance back to the house, letting out a chuckle at the faces that were smashed against the window again.
Swallowing harshly, you allowed your mind to go blank. “Well, come on, already, Henry!” you taunted, beckoning whatever was out there closer.
Adrenaline pumped through your body as the creatures begin barreling towards you in response. It was like a choppy ocean wave, the dogs tripping over each other just as they did in the lab in an attempt to get to you first. You cleared your thoughts, tuning into the environment around you, and began to fight as the first few screeched and lunged.
It was likely that only minutes had passed by as you spared a glance down to the dogs that lay dead at your feet, the rush from fluttering around the yard leaving you a little dizzy. You had just taken a deep breath when you had to suddenly duck, the flailing body of a limp demodog was soaring over you, straight through the window of the house. What the hell?
Straightening, you were flooded with relief at the sight of the figure that stood a few feet away, commenting dryly. “Well, that was dramatic.”
At the very end of the driveway stood El, still donned in all black. With a quick pop you appeared next to her, fluttering around as she began to attack the remaining creatures with determination you hadn’t seen before.
“You’re a little shit, you know that?” you called out, yanking your knife out of a demodog and spraying the mailbox with blood. “I would’ve gone with you.”
She smiled, gesturing to the many bodies littered across Joyce’s lawn. “I needed to do it alone,” El responded. “Looks like they would’ve been in trouble if you weren’t here.”
You couldn’t help but agree.
“What happened?” she asked.
Sharp pain suddenly flooded you as one of the creatures managed to claw at your leg when you were turned the opposite way, knocking you to the ground with a yelp.
You heard someone yell from inside the house.
“We need to close the gate,” you huffed, furious at the dog for pulling you into a puddle of blood. "I just cleaned those shoes!"
Her breath hitched. "Again?”
“Yep,” you grunted, kicking the monster in the head and closing your fist, squishing its petals with your mind. El helped you up, taking notice of the last remaining dogs that were left.
Together, you both raised your hands, flattening the creatures and filling the night with silence once more.
You looked at her, tucking a stray piece of hair back. “Where’d you go anyways?”
“Chicago.” You pulled her in for a hug with a chuckle.
Hopper was gonna have a heart attack.
Tightly, you squeezed her, feeling the smaller girl squeeze just as hard back. “Was it windy there?”
“Yes,” she nodded seriously when you broke apart. “Very windy.”
You snorted, sighing tiredly. “Did you find whatever it was you went there for?”
“Yes,” El smiled, grabbing your hand and tugging you towards the house. “I did.”

haii finley !!! need to know about your grey’s dr (if you’re comfortable ofc) 🙏🏼🙏🏼 am very curious as i’ve never seen anyone talk about theirs !
Yes I would love to talk about my greys dr!!! I love that reality ☺️
So I’m a surgical intern in Lexie’s year, so I’ll be joining at like season 4. Lexie is my best friend and we’ve known each other for years, so we’re also living in an apartment together. We’re gonna kinda mirror Cristina and Meredith with being each other’s “person”, but we’re not as dark and twisty as they are (at least not outwardly so)
I had a very tough time deciding who should be my resident during my intern year, mostly I was going between Meredith and Cristina because I want them both to like me skfksjfjsj but I decided to have Cristina be my resident because I think I can get Meredith to like me but I may need forced proximity (and the power of scripting) to make Cristina like me considering how much she dislikes interns
I’m gonna specialize in peds and so I’m gonna spend a lot of time with Arizona, which I’m very excited about. I think I’m gonna kinda be her “mini-me” because we’re both blonde and a bit peppy, which isn’t scripted but I did script that we’re very close to each other and I just think it makes sense. I honestly don’t know what Alex is gonna think of me, I think at first he’ll find me annoying but maybe again through forced proximity I’ll get on his good side
I made quite a few changes to the reality, mostly stopping people from leaving/dying or, in the case of Owen Hunt, having them leave very soon. Pretty much anyone I like stays and is happy to. I also wanted to bring back Addison, maybe not right away but soon, because I love her. Also maybe good in the long run because Alex is her guy and then I can be Arizona’s guy and there won’t be as much competition between us
The funny thing about this reality for me is that in my CR I could NEVER be a surgeon, not only because I am just not that skilled but also because the inside of the body makes me so squeamish. But that’s just the power that comes with shifting realities I guess!
Okay I’ll stop there for now but I’m really motivated to get to my greys dr right now so I would love to talk about it more if anyone has any more questions :) if not I’ll probably talk about it again anyways because I can do whatever I want hehe

Next to me(Emmett Cullen)
Chapter 18: chess and suspicious minds

Tumblr media
I tossed and turned in Emmett's bed. He was gone hunting with Jasper and we all knew he needed to blow off some steam. It didn't help the fact I sat there with millions of thoughts running threw my head.
After about ten minutes I claimed out of bed and walked down the flight of stairs that lead to the main room of the house. The house really was gorgeous, I've never seen a design quite like it.
I was quite as I traved through the house, not wanting to disturb anyone. I went to the unused kitchen and got a glass of water in hopes to calm my brain down.
“are you okay?” I soft voice said suddenly. I flinched and carlisle put his hands up with a soft smile. “sorry, I didn't mean to scare you”
He set his book down on the counter as I rinsed my cup out. “where is everyone?” I asked. “out hunting and my wife left to send some disings in for work”
I nodded softly, still slightly out of it. Carlisle titled his head as he studied my troubled face. “something on your mind?”
I didn't know what to say. Dr. Cullen was still a stranger to me but at the sametime I felt like I could trust him, but I shrugged. Carlisle nodded and set infront of me.
“perhaps would could play a game? It might take your mind off things”
“okay” I nodded. Carlisle smiled softly and grabbed a red and white chess board. We played in silence for a while, it was a comforting silence but enough was enough.
“I just got a little freaked out by Emmett's driving tonight is all... He was angry at some guys that tried to jump me and Rose” I said moving my queen towrds one of his pawns.
“Emmett told me... He was afraid he was gonna kill them... Fall off the wagon and drink human blood.” carlisle said.
“my parents died in a car crash... Me and Owen almost didn't make it our selves” I said, Carlisle's gold eyes traveled to me giving me soft expression. “I'm tired of feeling so crappy everytime I think about them... I try to think of the good stuff but it doesn't help”
“it will hurt for a while... That's a given, but after a while it'll hurt less when you think about them” Carlisle said.
“my mom passed away giving birth to me, so I can't really tell you I know how you feel” carlisle sighed. “as terrible as it sounds I gotten used to loss during my 200+ years of living”
“I'm sorry” I whispered. Carlisle smiled softly. “nothing to be sorry about... And you win” he said folding his hands on the table. Staring the the board that held my victory.
I chuckled. “yeah...thanks for the talk Dr. Cullen”
“please... Call me carlisle” he smiled. “and you have a lot of people still looking out for you including us.
~~~~~~~~(.......)~~~~~~~~
It was Saturday so I spent most of the day with the cullens. We didn't do much, mostly watched movies and talked. The best thing about today was when Edward showed me the song he wrote for Bella, Edward was a hopeless romantic and its adorable.
Later that night I came home to Charlie and owen watching the Red Soxs game “hey, how was the sleepover with the Cullen girls?” Charlie asked.
“it was nice” I said setting my bag by the door. “Bella's looking for you” Charlie said taking a sip of his beer.
Before I could move Bella called out from her room. “Y/n!” I rolled my eye and went up stairs to Bella's room.
“you bellowed?” I asked opening the door after entering. “I think Emmett and Edward are vampires... Or at least Edward” my eyes widened and I quickly latched the door.
“keep your voice down... And why would you think that?” I asked setting on her bed. She grabed her Labtop pushed in my face. “Edward has done all of this or he has one of theses traits”
“Bella this is insane” I said not wanting to out my boyfriend and best friend. Bella sighed and snapped her Labtop shut.
“Edward is your best friend and Emmett's your boyfriend, your telling me you haven't noticed anything out of the ordinary?”
“Edward is just out of the ordinary, we all know that” I joked. Bella sighed and grabbed a hared back book about the mine and Sam's tribe leadgens. “I'm being serious!”
“Bella, there are no such thing as vampires” Bella rolled her eyes. “I thought you of all people would believe me”
I couldn’t tell her she was right, I didn't even know if she would keep it a secret. She couldn't know about the creatures that roam our world.
I stood up with a sigh. “I'm going to bed Bella”
When got to my room I saw Emmett lying on my bed reading one of my Harry Potter books. I smiled closing my door. “making ourselves at home, are we?”
He smirked and snapped the book cosed. “I missed you” he said holding his arms out. I rolled my eyes and cuddled into his chest. “you saw me all day today”
“it wasn't long enough” he said wrapping his arms around me. “your such a sap”
“only for you” he said kissing the top of my head. “Bella knows” Emmett sighed.
“she's suspicious” I said into his chest. “we'll let Eddie deal with this one”
“agreed” Emmett said running his fingers through my hair. Before I knew it I was fast asleep on his chest with the thoughts of Bella knowing the truth running through my head.
A/n: sorry this was so short, but I promised I'd have a new chapter out.
Will Byers repeatedly overpowered the mind flayer for a week before expelling him completely.
Billy immediately succumbed completely, overpowering him only once and being promptly killed for it.
Will Byers survived in the upside down for a week while being hunted down by the Demogorgon after being kidnapped by him directly.
Barb didn't even make it out of the pool.
I hate to say it, but Dr Owens...do what you do
