today's (and tomorrow's and every day after that's) reminder to not just like and/or reblog w/o saying something but to leave comments and encouragements in your reblogs. writers are doing this for free. the least you can do in return for them entertaining you is give them some praise and feedback

As a reader I'll admit I hate timeskips.
Like whadoyomean they grow up?
They don't get to live on without me. I want to be there for every monotonous mundane moment of their life. I don't care how boring or obvious it is. I want to experience every thing alongside them.
(Wow now I'm a creep apparently)
But as a writer, I'll admit timeskips are ✨cOnVeNiEnT✨

VERY important question for Fantasy (and ESECIALLY High Fantasy!!!) fans as well as everyone in my taglists!!!
Say you're reading the best, most original work of fiction yet. You're loving it. The worldbuilding's superb, the characters feel like real people, and you can tell everything is building up to something, even if you don't know what.
And you hear about a slumbering God of Chaos.
They're locked into a coma by the other gods for the crime of destroying the world of old.
What do you expect of this, and are you excited for that to happen?
My taglist: @honeybewrites @the-golden-comet @illarian-rambling @ashirisu @urnumber1star

Back at it with something different today! Have some memes inspired by Alexandra Rowland's newest queer pirate novel Running Close to the Wind. I struggled keeping my composure as I put these together! 😂 Which is a very similar experience to reading the book actually.🤣 It's available for purchase (and likely upon request at your local library if it doesn't have it yet) just about anywhere but if you'd like to take a peak at before seeking it out, you can do so here:

i don't understand some readers when they start complaining about other readers' worn down, highlighted, written in, folded books with broken spines.
books are meant to be read! meant to be loved! to be loved is to be changed, people.
can we please start showing love to our books like normal people again?

When trouble strikes, head to the library. You will either be able to solve the problem, or simply have something to read as the world crashes down around you.

Tsoa was an emotional ride. I cannot think of anything but the afterwords and the two hopeless, lost souls, reaching out in the dark, and light erupts from their touch. Achilles went mad. Patroclus' last thought was Achilles. Even in death and after, roaming as a pained soul, his thoughts were of Achilles.
These men, who killed for the other, also lived for the other; and they died for the other.
Imagine them in the underworld, life cut short because one was— unfortunately — a half-god. Imagine the said god, awaiting the half of his soul, alone and but a mere shadow. A soul without his counterpart. A soul that had once glimmered as bright if not more as sun in the battlefield. Now he waits for his Philtatos. All rugged at the edges and empty.
When Thetis sinks his name beside Achilles, imagine Petroclus. He rushes because Achilles is waiting for him. He is waiting for him with his arms open and Petroclus knew his arms would be open because he was waiting for him. Their skins sizzle as they finally meet, and light as bright as thousand suns spills out.

A Room of One's Own
"A Room of One's Own" by Virginia Woolf explores the world of female novelists, emphasizing the importance of financial independence and personal space for women to freely express their ideas.
I personally enjoyed a lot her reflexions about both sexes, and how she talks diferently about men and women, and their diferent grade of dificulties in order to make themselves a name in the novelism world.
I also liked a lot her references to some of the most famous and important female autors, with whom without their work and constant dedication, we, women, woudn't be where we are now in the literary world.
I give it 4 stars, because there were moments of confusion and deviation from the main topic, making it challenging to follow at times, although I think we can blame It on the writing style from back then.
Nevertheless, it's a book with valuable reflections that every women should read at least once in their life.

✨Thankful Thursday/Favorite Fiction Friday✨
Hi everyone! This week has been kind of crazy, but I haven’t forgotten. June’s a fantastic month for many different reasons: Pride, end of the fiscal year, for some it’s the end of the school year. But, there are many things to be thankful for.
I will start with, a MASSIVE thank you to @autism-purgatory , who made me fanart of Peter Hart that I am still gushing about and showing to my husband. You took time out of your day to draw my characters and make me smile, and I cannot thank you enough for that. I know how much joy it brings to see your characters come to life, and really inspire people. Thank you, G.J.
HUGE thank you to @thatuselesshuman who made me laugh from this meme about my stories, because it is entirely accurate and hilarious. Another one for my collection ✨
Gigantic thanks to @gioiaalbanoart, @wyked-ao3 and @sunglasses-in-the-bentley , who are reading Peter Hart for a second time (anyone else who is, please let me know too!) To read my works the first time is a gigantic honor; to go through the adventure again is one of the highest praises for an author, next to receiving fanart, fanworks, and fanfiction.
Thank you to this kind stranger, who made me beam all day from this comment. And thank you this community, who has shown so much kindness and support that I wonder why I’ve kept my talents hidden so long. Well, NO MORE. You will get art, you will get stories, you will get support, the best way I know how. I will do my best
Okay, enough gushing. Here are my favorite authors, and my favorite fiction from them:
@autism-purgatory — Loop Of The Hollow
@alinacapellabooks —The Tengu and the Angel
@gioiaalbanoart — Too Far Gone?
@justabigoldnerd — I Am Your Lover (I Am Your Jailor)
@fortunatetragedy — Doom Metal Love Story
@wyked-ao3 — Tuesday event or is it
@poorreputation — Dimples
@sunglasses-in-the-bentley — I Won’t Hurt You
@pippinoftheshire — Sing Me A Lullaby Before I Go
@lychhiker-writes — Snippet Dump
@brigidfromthecelts — The Devil’s Sonata
@dyrewrites — Before Deluca
@froggy-pposto — oblation
@deanwax — Cycle’s End
@far-cry-from-finality — The World’s Not Ending As Long As We’re In It
@theverumproject — The Verum Project
@snugglesquiggle — Hostile Takeover
@zackprincebooks — Dear Heart
@bookish-karina — Your Average Fangirl
@glasshouses-and-stones — The system’s breaking down
@thatuselesshuman — Bloody Hands are Kind
@piscesapplelady35 — As Lethal As Holy Water
@shards-things — Meant To Be
@sic-sempervirens — Taarasthari
@katenewmanwrites — Whispers In The Moonlight
