The hustle and bustle of the emergency room echoed through the cold hallways as the double doors were pushed apart to make way for the ambulance crew and their critical patient. The vehicle's red and blue lights cast flickering shadows on the walls, while the howling sound of the approaching accident conveyed to hospital staff the urgency of the situation.
The paramedics, with serious faces and rustling uniforms, wheeled the gurney into the emergency room. An unknown woman lay on the stretcher, pale and motionless, only the shallow rise and fall of her chest showed any life. A white sheet covered her completely, and her blood-stained hair stuck damply to her forehead. The slow, monotonous beep of the portable monitor accompanied every breath.
Dr. Hunt, the emergency physician in charge, immediately rushed to the bed. His expression was professional, but the depth of his gaze betrayed some concern. The nurses and also Dr. Keppner rushed to help the team take over.
"What do we have?" Owen asked as he looked over the medical file one of the paramedics handed him. "Unknown female person, middle-aged, found unconscious in a park, presumably after an attack. Stabbed in the chest and abdomen. We cannot say any more. No identification and no indication of possible previous illnesses."
The paramedics quickly explained the course of events, how they found the patient and what first aid measures they had taken. The information was relayed with the precision of a well-trained team, but uncertainty about who the woman was and what had happened to her hung in the air.
While Hunt and Keppner began checking vital signs, the unknown woman was wheeled into an examination room. The nurses exchanged hand signals and quietly instructed each other on the next steps. The background noise is a chaotic orchestra of clanging instruments, murmuring conversations and the beeping of medical equipment.
April Keppner leaned over the patient and began a thorough examination. She checked the pupillary reaction, palpated the pulse and analyzed the respiratory rate. The monitors showed unstable readings and the two doctors' facial expressions hardened. A quick look between the two revealed that they were worried.
"We need a CT scan immediately," Owen said, turning to the nurses present. "I also want blood samples for a comprehensive analysis. Let the lab know it's urgent."
While preparations for further examinations were underway, the nurses and doctors tried to keep the unknown woman stable. An intravenous line was placed and fluids began flowing through her derm. The monitors continued to show jittery signals and the tension in the room increased.
"Call Dr. Shephard and Dr. Altmann. I want them here as quickly as possible!" He ordered as he continued to analyze the data on the screen. "And someone should inform the police. We have to find out who she is and what happened in order to prevent further damage."
The exam room was now in a coordinated state of emergency and in a room that was normally a place of rescue, the medical team battled uncertainty and a race against time to save a woman's life. He was abuzz as the neurosurgeon and cardiologist burst through the door almost simultaneously with quick steps. Their eyes were focused, the rubber of their Crocs squeaking in unison with the machines.
"Shephard, the patient is exhibiting unstable neurological signs. The CT scan and blood results are pending," she informed Hunt as he cleared the way for her to the bed.
Amelia nodded curtly and fully entered the room, closing the door behind her. A glance at the monitor and the papers on the tablet caused her eyes to flash briefly before she focused back on the patient. However, as she leaned over the lounger, she froze.
Her features slipped away, the slight smile on her lips fading as she realized who was in front of her. The woman on the lounger was none other than you. Hunt and Keppner stared at her as she noticed her reaction, not understanding why she didn't move forward with her work. "Amelia, we have a critical situation here. The patient's identity is unknown and her values are concerning. We urgently need your expertise!"
Amelia shook her head slightly, as if she could push reality away. Her heart raced as she double-checked that her eyes weren't playing tricks on her. "This is y/n. Y/n y/l/n. She's my girlfriend. Find her family, get them here!" A strangled sound escaped her throat and the world around her seemed to stand still for a moment as she processed the shock.
The emotional rollercoaster went through all the ups and downs, from worrying about you to the overwhelming need to stay in control. Her hands shook slightly as she reached for your lifeless and bloody hand.
"Y/n," Amelia whispered with a strangled sound in her voice and the two doctors and friends of the neurosurgeon were also dumbfounded, their breath catching in their throats. "What happened to you?"
Owen Hunt moved closer and tried to reassure her, while also conveying the urgency and explaining the neurological details. But Amelia only heard fragments. Her gaze was lost in your eyes, which were closed as if you were in a deep sleep.
"Amelia, I know it's hard. But we have to act immediately. The CT results are crucial and we have to find out what happened to her to prevent something worse. She could die!" April urged, concerned about her colleague's professionalism.
But Amelia couldn't let go. She ignored the two of them, her focus solely on you. The world outside the exam room seemed to fade as she held your hand tightly. "Y/n, you have to hold on. You can do this," she whispered in your ear, tears of despair welling up in her eyes. "You're strong, you know? We'll get through this together."
In her emotional despair, an internal struggle unfolded within Amelia. Her professional self fought against her personal connection to you. The shouts of other doctors and nurses became a muffled background noise as she refused to loosen her grip on your cold hand.
"Amelia," Owen Hunt spoke in a calm but firm voice. "We need you now. She needs you now. Let's find out what happened to her together.
A conflict between duty and personal pain raged within Amelia. Finally, she reluctantly gave in and removed her hand from yours. However, her gaze remained focused on you, and concern for you was reflected deep in her eyes. She struggled with fear for you as she prepared to resume her professional role as a neurosurgeon.
A deep breath flowed through her body and with a firm resolve she wiped the tears from her cheeks and turned her gaze to the surroundings. "Dr. Hunt, take her to the CT immediately. She's probably having a brain bleed." she spoke, her voice firm. The neurosurgical focus returned fully, analyzing the medical indicators.
The trauma surgeon nodded in agreement and began giving the necessary instructions, getting you up to the CT scanner. Amelia stayed at your side, letting go of your hand for a moment to oversee the diagnostic process.
The minutes that passed felt like hours. The results of the CT scan appeared on the screen, and Amelia scanned the images with a trained eye. She analyzed each region of the brain, looking for signs of bleeding, injury or other abnormalities. The intensity of her concentration was palpable, and the medical staff eagerly awaited her assessment.
"We have severe damage to the frontal lobe," Amelia explained, swallowing hard as she continued to study the images. "It looks like a severe traumatic brain injury. We need to operate immediately to relieve the pressure and prevent further damage."
The team immediately began preparing for the operation. The sterile atmosphere of the operating room seemed to embrace Amelia as her professional role took over. In her surgical uniform, surrounded by a team of experienced professionals, she struck her familiar Superman pose and focused on the procedure ahead.
During the operation, which lasted several hours, your girlfriend showed an impressive mix of calm and precision. Her hands worked in sync with the instruments as she gently treated the damaged tissue. Monitors in the operating room recorded progress, and the medical team closely followed their experienced leader's every move.
After what seemed like endless hours, but which passed like seconds, she finally closed the last stitches and the atmosphere relaxed slightly, but the uncertainty about the outcome of the operation weighed heavily on her.
Amelia let out a frustrated gasp before exiting the operating room, tearing off her gloves and hood. She immediately went to the waiting area to inform your siblings and parents. The tension in her chest eased as she saw the expectant looks of the people who were now her family and your sister immediately threw her arms around her.
"The operation is complete," Amelia began, trying to keep her voice steady as she also clung to your sister to keep her emotions at bay. "It was a complex brain injury for reasons still unknown, but I did everything I could. The next step now is to wait and hope she remains stable."
Your family breathed a sigh of relief as Amelia explained more details about the condition and cooperation with the police. Her words were reassuring to your sister, but she still felt the knot in her stomach. The outcome of the operation was uncertain, and there was no way of knowing whether you would ever wake up and be your old self again.
In the silence of the hospital hallway, as she left the waiting people behind, a moment of exhaustion overcame her. Her eyes wandered back to the exam room where she found you in. The image of you on the lounger didn't fade, but Amelia found comfort in the fact that she had saved you. Now things could only go uphill and she couldn't wait to look into your beautiful eyes again.

could you please do an amelia shepherd (or any greys female character) where reader has a bad day at school and she tries to cheer her up by having this cute little movie night with readers favorite movie franchise and eating all of her favorite snacks?? 💜
Tumblr media
ᕚ---ᕘ
As Amelia Shepherd reached the elementary school parking lot, her heart was pounding like it did every day with anticipation of seeing you again after a long day of school and work. Normally you were full of energy and beaming with joy, but that day Amelia sensed something was different. As she got out of her car, she noticed the other children running, jumping and laughing exuberantly towards their parents. But you walked down the front steps at a slow pace, your shoulders slumped and your eyes dull.
The brunette neurosurgeon frowned as she stepped towards you and lifted you onto her hip. "Hey, love," she said softly, pressing a kiss to your cheek before hugging you tightly. "Are you ready to go home?"
You sighed heavily and nodded just barely, the corners of your lips still turning downwards. "Yes Mama." You replied quietly without looking at her and rested your head on her shoulder, away from her gaze. That wasn't your usual demeanor, Amelia thought worriedly as she made her way home with you in her arms. During the drive she tried several times to start a conversation, but you only responded with monosyllabics and seemed lost in thought.
When you both finally got home and the brunette turned off the engine, she turned to you and gently placed a hand on your knee before you could even unbuckle yourself from your car seat. "Honey, did something happen today? You look so sad."
You lowered your gaze and began to play with your fingers, letting out a small gasp. “It was just a stupid day, Mom,” you mumbled between the tiny tears that made their way down your cheeks. "I failed the math test that Link and I practiced a lot for. Also, today Mrs. Kayo kept ignoring me when I knew the answers and only took me up on it when I didn't know something and I just feel terrible."
Amelia felt her heart clench when she saw your tears. She gently stroked both of your knees before encouraging you to climb forward where she pulled you into a tight hug and stroked your hair soothingly. "I'm sorry you had a bad day, love," she said softly, giving you a kiss on the forehead before continuing. "But I know what we can do about it."
You sniffled and hugged your mother tighter. The sky may have been cloudy for you today, but tonight the sun should shine for you again.
When you entered the house, Amelia still felt the tension in the air that accompanied you. You let yourself retreat to your room while she went to the kitchen to prepare some snacks. Amelia opened the cupboard that was kept secret from you and looked for your favorite snacks. She pulled out a bag of popcorn, a few of your favorite candy bars, nachos with cheese sauce, and a bowl of freshly cut fruit.
As she placed the snacks on a serving plate, she thought about how she could cheer you up. She remembered how much you loved having movie nights, especially your favorite movie, and with a smile on her face, she returned to the living room and called for you.
A short time later you came out. Already in your pajamas, you were wrapped in a light blanket, a sad expression still on your face. "Yes Mama?"
"I have a surprise for you." She spoke softly as she placed the snacks on the table and you quickly raised your head, looking at her curiously. "What surprise?"
Amelia smiled and gestured to the entire living room, eventually to the snacks and the flat screen. "How about a little movie night? We could set up a tent, hang some fairy lights and watch Maleficent. What do you think?"
Your eyes began to light up with excitement when you heard the idea and a wide smile stretched across your lips. With a strong nod, you set up the tent together in the living room, stretched colorful blankets over it and hung up fairy lights that bathed the room in a warm, cozy light. You snuggled into your blanket while Amelia started the movie.
As you watched the adventures of your favorite character together, you forgot the worries of the day and laughed at the funny scenes. As the plot slowly unfolded, you began to feel the dark clouds of your bad mood being dispelled. The colorful images on the screen and the familiar story captivated you and made you forget everything around you for a moment. The tension you had felt all day dissolved and was replaced with a feeling of relaxation and pleasure.
As you sat on the sofa with your mother and your mother gave you popcorn and nachos in between, you felt a deep warmth. Your mother's embrace and loving care helped you feel safe and secure. You felt loved and understood, and that gave you the strength to enjoy the moment.
With every laugh and every snack you shared, you felt your heart lighten. The darkness that had surrounded you gave way to a feeling of happiness and contentment. You could feel your mother's love at every moment.
As the last movie ended and the credits rolled, Amelia looked over at you and smiled. “Did you enjoy the movie night, darling?”
You beamed with happiness as you looked up, letting the last nacho on the serving plate disappear into your mouth. "Yes, Mom. That was great! Thank you for always knowing how to cheer me up."
She took you into a tight hug again and nuzzled her head close to yours. "You are my everything. I am always here to support you and be there for you no matter what."
In that moment, Amelia knew that the love between her as a mother and you was stronger than any challenge life might throw at you. And as you dismantled the tent in the living room together, you both knew that no matter what the next day brought, you would get through it together.

Hi, i was wondering if you would write one about Amelia Shepherd as your foster mom or motherly sister - you have anorexia and she is admitting you to the psych ward against your will. meredith is there to support her and you.
Tumblr media
Authors note: I'm sorry there wasn't a new story yesterday, but I had another recurring episode of a migraine and it really weighed me down.
ᕚ---ᕘ
In the dark corridor of the psychiatric hospital, the footsteps of the neurosurgeon and the general surgeon echoed as the two hesitantly walked towards the closed door of your temporary stay, Meredith's arm reassuringly placed on the brunette's shoulder. The dim beam of light from the bulb above the door was the only glow at the end of the dark hallway, reflected off the peeling walls. Amelia's heart was pounding in her chest as she gripped the cold metal handle of the door that separated you from her.
She slowly opened the door and entered the room, which was filled with a diffuse light from the bedside lamp. "Hey, sweetheart. I have brought you a visitor," she spoke to you calmly, scrunching her nose as the smell of disinfectant and suppressed suffering crawled into her sinuses. In the corner of the room you sat, curled up on your bed with your legs pulled up to your chest. "Go away, I do not want to see you," you spoke, your gaze was empty, your eyes seemed tired and expressionless as a faint shadow of past joy of life crossed your face.
Amelia hesitated for a moment before approaching the bed. Her hand shook as she gently took your hand. She felt the cold of your skin and the pressure of your fingers weakly recoil and move away from her, sliding further into the corner. Tears welled up in her eyes as she carefully backed away even though she just wanted to hold on to your hand and cling to it so as not to fall into the abyss herself. "Please, y/n.. I love you and missed you," she began to speak quietly, Amelia's words full of pain and desperation. "and you know that bringing you here was the only right decision,"
You were trapped in your world, your sister´s words seeming opaque and incomprehensible as she spoke of the constant fear that tormented her when you stopped eating in your dark hours and were no longer the person she once knew. "You dragged me here and left me with strangers who were supposed to help me. When all I really needed was MY SISTER!" Another grab for your knee vanished into thin air as you evaded away from her touch and her hand instead reached back towards Meredith, who had not said a word yet but was holding a bag that the brunette had brought for you.
With tears in her eyes and shaking hands, she pulled out some personal items and began decorating your new room for the next few months to calm herself down. Amelia had no idea what to say, she felt incredibly guilty. She carefully placed these items on the nightstand next to the bed, as if she wanted to leave a piece of her lost sister behind. Photos of happy times, some books you recently bought and a diary where you once wrote down your dreams and hopes. "Amelia, is it okay if you leave us alone for a moment?" Meredith's bright voice broke through the cramped silence that was almost unbearable and the brunette nodded groggily but thankfully before slowly turning away, her eyes full of pain and helplessness.
With one last, loving look at you, she left the room and closed the door behind her. The click of the door lock echoed through the empty hallway, and behind it she burst into tears as she leaned against the cold wall and slid painfully down. In that moment she knew she had made the right decision, even though it broke her heart that you turned her away. Amelia had placed you in the care of professionals in the hope that you would find help there, but the pain and sadness of seeing you in this fragile and self-destructive state would stay with her forever.
But she also knew that you would both get through this and that you would eventually thank her for saving your life. And as she pulled herself together and walked down the hallway of the hospital into the parking lot, she could not stop wondering what was currently going on in that room with Meredith and you. Meanwhile, Meredith retreated to your room with you, the atmosphere charged and tense as you nervously folded your hands over your thighs. She sat down next to you and gently placed a hand on your shoulder. "I know this is all very new and very difficult for you. You are probably feeling very hurt, angry and alone, but I want you to understand that your sister never intended to harm you," she began to speak slowly, her hand moving to your face to brush a stray strand of hair from your pale face and tuck it behind your ear. "She loves you more than words can express and she did everything she could to help you."
You hesitantly let her touch you, hurt that she also agreed to your Amelia´s decision and helped her register and accommodate you here. "But then why did she put me in this psychiatric hospital? Why she did not try to help me if she loves me so much?"
"Sometimes, my love, life is not as easy as we wish it to be. Amelia was desperate. She saw how much you suffered, how much you had changed and how you were destroying yourself in front of her eyes. She just knew no more how she could help you. Your sister tried everything, but it felt like nothing was helping and she did not want you to continue to be trapped in this darkness. That seemed to her the only way out to make sure that you Get the support and care you need."
After her speech, you burst into utter tears. Meredith took off her shoes and crawled on all fours to you. She quickly pulled you closer to her, pushing your head into her lap where you clung to her thighs. "But I feel so alone here. I am scared and I miss Amelia and you so much." She stroked your hair comfortingly, gently wiping your cheeks with her thumb every now and then to catch your tears. Her other hand searched for yours, fingers intertwining with yours. "Remember that you are not alone here. The people here will help you and I will always be there for you. I am just a call or a text away and if you want, I can come here with your sister every day after work and spend time with you so that you do not feel alone for at least a few hours.“
"I do not want to blame her but it hurts so much to be here," you admitted quietly, turning your head so that you could look into her eyes from below. A small smile crept onto her lips and she nudged your nose before starting to speak again. "It is okay to have these feelings, to be angry and sad. But please also understand that she acted out of love, even if it does not feel like it in that moment. She did not want you to suffer.“
You lowered your head back to her thighs as you thought about Meredith's words. A spark of understanding glowed in your eyes, and despite the pain, you felt a tiny bit of relief. It was a first step on the road to healing that gave the blonde hope.

sometimes, fictional characters are a home to us because they´re not only entertainment but friends and a safe place. They comfort us in time of need, make us feel seen and heard, but most of all bring a smile to our face even on the darkest of days.

Amelias little sisters abusive ex shows up at the hospital.
A/N: I posted an Alternative to this request below this one because I had two ideas to this. Hope you like them ♥
---
You had the first half of your working day successfully behind you. After three patients who were admitted to the emergency room because of a car accident and one whom you performed an emergency operation that took several hours you were now hoping for a great lunch with your friends that you really deserved.
"Did the man survive?" asked Amelia both, Meredith and you, while you both walked down the stairs with your lunch and she joined you. The blonde and you managed to stabilize him and repair the injuries, but they were critical; he just had to wake up and get through the next 24 hours. "Barely. Bowel was perforated, spleen was ruptured and a broken rib pierced his lungs. It was close, but he survived."
"Nice work, little sister!" she exclaimed while giving you a nudge in the other direction, smiling and proud. Thankfully Meredith cushioned your tumble with her own body and you walked further down the stairs laughing as you met Maggie, who also wanted to have lunch with you.
Together you walked outside and looked for a place in the warm sun.
While you were enjoying your lunch and chatting about all sorts of topics and current surgeries, you began to feel increasingly uncomfortable. It was like your body was reacting to something you hadn't realized yet. Almost paranoid, you turned around in all different directions and looked around, not without the others noticing.
"Y/N, are you okay?" Maggie muttered while she was still chewing on her food and you turned your head to her. Even when you tried to appear normal, your eyes and entire face spoke volumes.
In your eyes the shine had been exchanged for fear and your rosy complexion was suddenly very pale. Your lips no longer radiated a smile but rather a straight line and the others could see that you were nervously chewing on the inner surfaces of your cheeks. "I don't know."
Your gaze went around you once more as your eyes focused on a man standing by a tree, looking at you. Amelia trailed your gaze and got stuck on the guy as well. Her fork fell into the lettuce she had in front of her and her jaw dropped down. "Oh no," she uttered and immediately turned back to her sisters. "Maggie, take Y/N to the hospital right now and don't leave her side. Hurry up."
The black haired one looked questioningly between all three before she got up and put her hands on your shoulders to pull you away from where you stood. However, you shrugged your shoulders away, your gaze not deviating from him. "Sweetheart, come on."
"No, I won't go." you stuttered, already noticing the fear in your trembling voice.
"Y/N, you are leaving now. Immediately." Meredith now interfered and looked at you urgently, but you didn't buckle. You were fed up with running away. "No. I won't hide every time and especially not in my own territory. I am not afraid of him anymore."
He pushed himself out of his position and walked slowly in your direction while your eyes kept turning down to his hands. He had clenched them in fists, the knuckled were already turning white and your heart was starting to beat faster and more irregularly.
It was like a trauma response when suddenly ever single moment in which he had hurt you shot through your head. It was like a bad movie that you couldn't quit and that you had to watch until the end.
"Maggie, we're going to need help in a minute. Get the security." commanded Amelia in a harsh tone as Meredith and her set off in front of you; like a kind of protective wall to create enough space between him and you.
She knew how aggressive he was and therefore she also knew that with her anger she had built up for him over all these months, she couldn't get very far and make it even worse. He was a muscular guy with more weight on his ribs than the three of you put together. If she reacted wrongly now, he would hurt you again. And she wanted to prevent that.
"What are you looking for here?"
"Calm down, I just want to talk to your sister." He replied to the brunettes question as he cocked his head to one side, looking at you grinning.
You weren't sure about your decision to stay here anymore. You stood there, huddled and trembling, your arms crossed under your chest, your gaze blurred from all the tears that were gathering in your eyes. "Go," you whispered and winced when he moved even a little to the side. "I said go. Get out of my damn life and fuck off!"
Not only were you amazed at your strength to show him the cold shoulder but also the two woman who stood in front of you.
The only one who wasn't convinced was your ex boyfriend. He bit his lip and his eyes filled with exactly the same anger as then. His face turned blood red and you could already see the steam fume from his ears.
"What did you bitch say?" he snapped before he wanted to pounce on you. You let out a scream and turned away, hiding behind Meredith while the two tried to keep him away from you.
You were already waiting for the blows and the rumbling, but when you heard his screams and scolding further and further in the distance, you opened your eyes to see how he was carried away by the security men and how Bailey, Maggie and Hunt were already standing around you.
Relieved you fell on the street floor and let your feelings run free. While the others were shielding you from the unwanted audience, Amelia had joined you.
Her arms wrapped around your entire shaking figure and her chin rested on your head. With soothing and gentle touches on your back she gave you the signal that it was all over; like she did every time you had a bad day. You were in trance, your ears didn't perceive any sounds from your surroundings and you had absolutely no control over your body.
You were trapped in this like a prisoner in your own soul.
You whined, you winced and flinched, you cried and you hit her unintentionally. But she stood firm and still held you tight in her arms, not even thinking for a second about letting go or leaving you alone.
Her heart burned with pain and her body struggled with the infinite anger she had.
It wasn't easy and it wouldn't be anytime soon, old wounds had been torn open again, which she had patched up with great effort. She had to hold back her tears to be strong for you, even if it tore her inside but she was proud of you.

Note
Amelias little sister gets mugged on the way to dinner at Merediths house.
Maybe you should have accepted Maggie's offer by asking you if she should wait half an hour for you and take you home, but you said no. On such stressful days, you just needed a little distance; the loud music booming through your headphones and the fresh air as you stomped through the streets of Seattle to the house of Meredith for dinner.
And now you were sitting on the cold and wet floor in a darkened alley, your jeans torn open at the knees which were totally bloody and a laceration on your lip from the blow in the face.
At first you didn't understood what was happening - suddenly you were dragged into the alley by your hood and were pressed against the wall. You didn't recognized who it was, but you felt the tip of a knife at your side while his elbow dug into your neck.
His cigarette-smelling fingertips reached to your headphones, rudely ripped them out of your ears and you groaned in pain. You couldn't defend yourself, he was too strong and pressed you against the wall with all his strength, even speaking was difficult. "Please, let me go."
You knew that a simple request wouldn't help, but you were hoping for a miracle.
His mischievous laugh scared you and you felt the tears sting in your eyes. You expected the worst. "I want all your valuables, then nothing will happen to you."
"Okay, okay." you said out of breath. "Let go of me and I will give you everything I have right now."
Your first thought was to run as soon as he let go of you but you just didn't want to risk that he somehow managed to hurt you - you didn't know if he still had a gun somewhere or if he was faster than you to slit your throat. You just did what he said in hope, he would spare you.
Indeed.
After you put your entire bag, cell phone and necklace in his hands, he left you alone and ran away, but not without punching you in the face beforehand.
---
Soaked and completely exhausted, you arrived at Meredith's house and decided to keep the hood over your head so that you could perhaps get upstairs unnoticed. You quietly closed the door behind you and took a few steps back when you bumped into something and turned around, frightened.
"If I had known it would rain like that, I would have waited!" Maggie exclaimed. She wanted to start talking again when she saw your torn knees and was startled. "What the hell happened?!"
You played nervously with your thumbs. "I fell." was the only lie you could think of right now. Your head was still lowered so she couldn't look into your face. You quickly tried to loop past her but she blocked the way and pulled your hood down. "Oh you.. Amelia!"
Now it was too late - you could already hear more footsteps from the living room that got faster and louder, then sharp drawn breaths and fingers under your chin. These pulled your face in the other direction; cautious and gentle, but swift and dominant.
You looked into your sister's brown eyes and tried in vain to turn away. The brown-haired one had your face firmly under control.
"I will get bandages and new clothes for her." gulped the blonde. "I will get and ice pack and a washcloth." said the dark haired in unison with Meredith and disappeared in different directions while Amelia still stood there with you and looked at you intently.
"What happened?" she asked and demanded an answer. her eyes had grown dull and darker, like every time she was angry. "Who did this to you?"
"I don't know." you sighed and tears started to build up in your eyes again. "He had a knife with him and dragged me into an alley." Amelia didn't let you speak any further. Immediately she pulled you into her arms and wrapped both protectively around you.
As soon as you felt her warmth, you also put your arms around the middle of her body and began to cry out bitterly of fear. Again and afaig she stroked your hair while slowly beginning to move in the direction of the couch where her two sisters already waited for you to patch up your fragile, cold and shaking body.
She broke away from you for a short time so that you could free yourself from your wet clothes and then pulled you into her arms again after you had changed into your sleeping clothes. You spent some time in her arms and told Maggie, Meredith and Amelia everything at your own pace.

Can you do a one shot of Derek and Amelia reacting to little sisters suicide attempt?
A/N: TRIGGER WARNING!
THIS ONESHOT CONTAINS MENTIONS AND PERFORMANCE OF SUICIDE AND DEPRESSION!
PLEASE, IF YOU ARE AFFECTED, I ASK YOU TO NOT READ THIS STORY!
I DON’T WANT TO TRIGGER YOU AND PUT YOU IN DANGER.
PLEASE SKIP THIS TEXT!!!!!!!!
---- Today was another day of hell for you.
It was mid summer, the sun was beaming through the city almost permanently and the heat pushed people to go outside. Everyone was happy, everyone was laughing and spending time with their family, except you.
You came home from university earlier just wanting to go to bed and do nothing besides staring blankly at the white bedroom wall.
You didn’t have the strenght to do anything. You felt empty and useless. Worthless. You felt that the world would be a much better place and your siblings would have a much better life if you weren’t there. Because overall, what have you already achieved?
It hit you like a brick in the face.
The feelings you were hiding behind fake smiles and laughter from your friends and siblings came over you and your wall began to crumble. As if your clear thinking was switched off, you walked to your desk and looked for something that was sharp.
With a short-circuit reaction, you unscrewed the screw on your work scissors and took one of the cutting knives with you on the floor. Then you looked for your suicide note from one of your notepads that you had written months ago and put it next to you.
You were done with this world and yourself. Thoughts have been your enemy for too long and you have been a victim of their violence for too long. You wanted to put an end to them for a long time, but you have never been ready to take this last step. Until now.
The angel on your shoulder lost the fight against the devil.
There was blood everywhere. A puddle had almost formed on the floor. And you? You sat leaning against your bed on the floor. Your arms covered in blood and your clothes soaked in red.
The sight of it made Amelias own blood freeze. Her eyes widened and all the color drained from her face. Amelia stood there frozen and could not move. It felt like her heart skipped a beat. The seconds she stood so stiffly felt like years until she finally regained control of her body. She was completely overwhelmed and did not know what to do.
The brown-haired had so many thoughts running through her head and it felt like her skull would rip in half and her brain would finally jump out of her head. Her head pounded wildly with one simply question at the first place. Why did you do this? What brought you here?
Quietly she heard an „Amy? Are you okay?“.
It was Dereks voice, he had dropped her off at home and was supposed to leave right away but he stayed to make sure everything was okay, he had a queasy stomach all morning. And the feeling he had was right.
She turned her head to the left and noticed her brother now standing behind her. „Derek..“ was the only thing she got out before he cut her out. „Damn it, what is going on here?“ he said confused and immediately ran to you while you looked at him sadly.
Barely audible you whispered, „Go away. Please. You shouldn’t be here yet.“
While Derek tried to clear his mind and help you, Amelia was slightly relieved that she was no longer alone with this situation and she had someone, who thought clearer at the moment.
It took her a moment to understand the situation before she let herself fall in front of you and looked at you with fear and panic in her eyes. Derek just swore and ran into the bathroom. Seconds later he came out with a pile of towels.
„Here, we have to try to stop the bleeding. Push as hard as you can and call an ambulance.“ He spoke out of mind, in complete contrast to his sister, and threw one at her.
Immediately she did what she was told and dug out her cell phone with one hand and dialed the emergency number while the white towel under her other hand turned red in seconds.
She explained the situation in a flash, gave the address and hung up as soon as she was assured that both the ambulance and the emergency doctor would be there shortly. Now her focus was fully on you.
Derek had meanwhile taken off his jacket, tore it in two parts and tied your arms above the cuts as best as he could.
„Help is on the way.“ was the only thing that got out of Amelias mouth without taking her gaze from you for a second.
Your eyes were about to close and you heard Derek screaming at your sister almost in panic that they had to keep you awake. „Hey, sweetie. You have to stay with us, you understand? We need you here. Don’t you dare to leave me alone now! You said to me that only stupid people leave and you are definitely not stupid. There is a solution for everything, we can do this together, but you have to stay awake and keep fighting now, okay?“
Amelia looked at your pale face and there was so much pain in her eyes that it stung your heart.
In the background you could already hear the sirens on an ambulance which were getting louder and louder. Shortly afterwards you could hear a lot of people running on the stairs and you could see the paramedics in the door frame.
Immediately they put you on a stretcher and took you down to the ambulance. Amelia held your hand the whole time to show you that you were no alone while Derek, who was just as shocked as at the beginning, now stood in the doorway and watched the paramedics and you.
Once at the ambulance, Amelia had to let go of your hand, unwillingly. The doors oft he ambulance closed in a flash and the gravel crunched and dusted under the tires, which started moving at a frantic pace.
Your siblings watched the car afterwards, even after he had disappeared from their field of vision, until the sirens only reached them very quietly. Amelia sank down on her knees completely exhausted, tears streaming down her face as she didn’t notice anything of what was happening around her.

Could I pretty please request one where the reader is Amelias youngest sister and gets brought to the ER she’s paged into, in critical condition! Lots of angst and fluff between the reader and Amelia
„Unknown patient, female. No ID or other belongings of finding out her identity. According to witnesses, a driver ran a crosswalk at a red light and caught the woman at a frantic pace.“ The medic said quickly and rolled the stretcher with Meredith, Bailey and Callie into the entrance of the Grey Sloan Hospital.
„We take over from here, thank you.“ Said the blonde and took control of the front wheels of the bloody stretcher. „Shock room 2.“
As soon as they got there, the woman was connected to hoses and monitors. The heart machine beeped faster than it should normally and the whistling of the blood pressure was now almost a continues sounding line.
„Blood pressure is at 80/61, pulse at 142. Bring me an ultrasound.“ Said the surgeon of general medicine, holding her hands on the young woman’s stomach. She pressed several points a few times and then reached for the head of the ultrasound machine to control the spots she examined. „I see bleeding on the spleen, probably ruptured. The other organs seem to be okay, but it won’t show until I open her.“
„Her hip is dislocated, the blood circulation is impaired. As soon as we have her ready in the operation room, I put it back in place, but it has to go quickly in order to not damage other organs.“ The orthopedist also chimed in. „We also paging Shepard. She is unconcious, she was already in the ambulance. We have to make sure that we don’t miss anything that could possibly be a danger.“
She looked at her colleague and she nodded to her. With this consent, she turned to one of the nurses and she just nodded back, turned and walked quickly out of the room.
During further examinations of the two, the woman on the stretcher regained conciousness, but her eyes were still closed so the doctors didn’t even noticed. The light was just too bright.
After a few blinks and the adjustment of her eyes, she looked at a white, bare ceiling of the hospital. At first she didn’t know where she was and what she was doing here until she remembered that ceiling. That ceiling she saw everyday. She was in the hospital.
„Amy..“ she said weakly and yet Meredith heard it and recognized the voice immediately.
The young surgeon’s eyes opened wide and the things she held in her hand she had shortly before found their way back to where they came from. From above she looked into the eyes of the little sister of her deceased husband and her best friend.
„Oh my god. It’s Y/n.“ she said in shock and put both her hands softly on the bloody sides of the womans head to calm her a little. She knew what shock someone could be in when you suddenly lay there. She had experienced it herself.
„What?!“ only came from the opposite side and the orthopedist immediately ran out, the door still wide open. „We need Dr. Shepard here. Right now!“
But she didn’t have to get her called anymore. As soon as she shouted this through the whole hospital, the brown-haired neurosurgeon turned the corner. „I’m here, Callie. What is there so urgently that you took me out of an opperation?“ she asked angrily and the look of the Latina already told her everything.
It was the look and expression that she already knew too well. Every one of those who have left them prematurely was written in the face oft he woman in front of her. Amelias smile faded and she swallowed hard. She couldn’t move, she was sick and hot at the same time. She didn’t know what or who was waiting for her as soon as she entered the room, she had already lost too many people who where important to her and gave her support.
„Who is it?“ she asked coldly and almost emotionlessly but her colleague didn’t answer and just looked at the floor.
„I urgently need help here!“ her sister’s familiar voice came out of the room. Amelia squeezed between the orthopedic surgeon and the wall and paused again before finally entering and examining her surroundings.
A young girl lay on the table, soaked in blood. The machines beeped wildly and almost continuously. Meredith struggled to survive and slowly approached the situation.
Now she was standing next tot he lying figure and was paralyed, her heart was punding in her chest. A movement on her thigh tore her out of her thoughts and she looked down.
A hand reached for hers.
She gripped her tightly and gently stroked the back of her hand. The woman’s head slowly turned to her and Amelia burst into tears. It was her beautiful sister’s eyes. She looked deep into them again before the younger ones eyes rolled back and the machines ermitted a loud signal. She was still holding her hand, unable to do anything and assured that she was there.
That she was there and her sister was no longer alone.
She would fight. She would live. She had so much worse in her life, she would survive this.
Amelia was sure.

TRIGGER WARNING! MENTION OF EATING DISORDER
Words: 1.327
---
You woke up from an inexplicable sleep. The light flooded the room, your eyes were blinded and you pinched them together.
It took them a while to adjust to the light. When they got to the point where you could open them without flinching away, you saw two women in front of you which were standing with their back to you.
“Where am I?” your raspy voice echoed like cracks through the room.
The brunette and the blonde turned around to face you and only now you realized that it was Arizona and Amelia standing there in their white coats, watching at something in the paediatric surgeon hands.
“Oh, thank god you are finally awake!” The neurosurgeon said softly as she walked towards your bed you lay in and sat down on the foot end. “You are at the hospital sweetheart.”
“Why am I..” right before you wanted to finish the sentence, you wanted to reach for your head but something in your arm started to itch.
You looked down and saw the needles in your arm which intertwined with a small back that hung on a pole beside you.
Nervous and almost panicky, you sat upright, wanted to remove the needle from your vein but a hand prevented you from doing so. You heart skipped a few beats and you looked into your sisters eyes which only smiled, already knowing why you were panicking.
“Calm down, it’s just liquid. You were dehydrated.”
Slowly you sat back, knowing that you could trust your sister. You tried to regain your normal heartbeat and breathing which helped by looking at your sister and holding her hand.
“Do you know what happened to you?” the blond haired once joined in and stood in front of your bed, ready to type in whatever you were about to tell her.
“Not really.” You started when you took another breath. “I was in the gym with my best friend. We were about to do some cardio on the treadmill. I felt dizzy but I didn’t bother. I got on it and everything went black around me.”
“Zona, could you give us a minute, please?” you sister asked her before she could even make up an sentence.
Of course she understood and didn’t want to disturb further. She shouted a “I’ll come back later” with a smile before she disappeared out the door which slipped behind her in the lock after her.
Now you were alone with your sister in the minimal, almost bare room; staring at her. Your sister wasn’t surprised that you landed here; she was the only one who knew your problem with food too well.
Not knowing exactly what to do or what to say, she bit her lip and looked back at you, hoping for an answer.
“I’m sorry” was the only thing you managed to sculpt before tears rolled down your face.
You were sure you had disappointed her, only recently did you promised her that you would feel better and that you wouldn’t need any therapy.
In fact, you felt better. You ate normal and you gained a bit of weight. But your thoughts came back and haunted you to no end. You relapsed; yet again.
“I tried it but..” you saw how your Amelia just got up, thinking she was going to leave.
Sobs came out and tears flowed like waterfalls over your cheek. “I lost the fight.” Your head sank down.
It wasn’t until then you realized how two arms were around you and you were relieved that she hadn’t left because of your stupidity.
You could always count on her.
“Shhh, everything is alright. Do you hear me? I’m here, we will fix this.”
She rocked you back and forth and it took some time before she broke away from you, took your face in her hands and looked at you. “When was the last time you ate something? No lies.”
“Yesterday morning.” You whispered, almost ashamed.
You saw the shocked expression and she let go of you. The neurosurgeon got up again, this time without a word, she left through the door and left you alone; crying without saying a word.
You had the belief that you had hurt your sisters too much and thought that it was right that she had left you alone.
You lay back in your bed, put the blanket up to your nose and cried bitterly as the guilt feelings plagued you.
You wanted to get better, for your sisters. She was the only one you had left out of your family who was there for you. You finally saw the danger you were in but you didn’t know how to get out of this hole.
The eating disorder accompanied you for years now and Amelia was always the one who stood by and tried to help you. But what should you do now if she decided that it was enough? That she couldn’t longer take the responsibility for your bullshit and didn’t manage to see her younger sibling approach death more and more?
The door opened and you heard something move next to you at the side. Slowly you looked up from the blanket and wiped your tears aside when you saw the brown haired standing with a chair by your side and pulling out your table on the scooter car next to you.
In front of you appeared a colourful salad.
“I know it will not be easy, but what is easy, right?” she started and opened the lid of the food. “I’m not going to start with ‘if you love me, you would eat’ because that’s nonsense and doesn’t help anyone, but I’ll tell you the truth. I will tell you here and now that you’re going to die if you don’t change something soon, and I don’t want that. I want many years with your silly and lighting attitude. I know it’s hard but I’ll go with you all these rocky roads and together we’ll make you get better again. I will not force you to do anything you don’t want, it’s your decision but I beg you, at least try. For me and especially for your own health and life.”
With these words, she has hit you more than any other word ever and you didn’t even have the incentive to think twice about it.
Slowly, with trembling hands, you took the plastic fork that Amelia held out to you and looked at the food in front of you.
Not only you had panic by looking at the individual ingredients, you just saw different red numbers in front of your eyes that literally jumped you. Now you were not so sure anymore.
But you wanted to get well. For her and especially your future. You wanted to experience so much and follow in the footsteps of Derek. Start your own family. Build a house with your husband. You’ve never been to New York and never seen the Northern Lights either.
You still had so much to do on earth and most of all, you wanted to experience it all healthy and not on Youtube while you were stuck in a bed in the hospital bed because you were too weak to even function right and needed to be fed with a tube in your nose.
You took another deep breath before stabbing the fork into a small tomato and slowly leading it you your mouth.
---
It has been some time and although you felt bed and you hated the feeling of being full, you were proud of yourself.
You almost ate the whole salad, just left the cucumbers and the olives you didn’t liked on the plate.
“I am so proud of you, sunshine.” She said, looking proudly at you with shining eyes and a big grin.
She gave you a big kiss on the cheek and a big hug before she started cleaning up. “I am proud of you.”
“Thank you. Thank you for everything.”
