halloween had always been ashton's favourite time of year. the weather would cool, the leaves would fall and there were endless parties and excuses to dress up, something that for the first time they were experiencing in new york. this year they had opted to dress as the rootin'-est, tootin'-est cowboy in the wild west, a costume that they executed perfectly. they'd met maria's friends a couple of times now and they were people that ashton really enjoyed being around. they had turned up a little earlier to help set up, having maria meet them later on. they'd been talking around the heater when of the woman's friend nodded behind them, leading ashton to turn around, their eyes immediately finding their girlfriend, taking in her costume. a goofy grin crossed their features as they moved towards her, "as the sheriff on duty here, i'm going to have to arrest you for being criminally good looking, ma'am." ashton leaned in and kissed her sweetly, "hey," they whispered against maria's lips. "i was starting to wonder when you'd get here."

The airport was rather busy, the arrival time of Ash's flight a rather popular one, but Maria could not care less for the crowd around her. Her mind was on a single person who would hopefully soon walk through those doors. Having brought along a long-stem red rose for them, Maria could feel her heart beating almost out of her chest with the anticipation of seeing her partner, fingers toying with the edge of her sleeve as she watched the doors opening, each time finding herself waiting longer.

But then, finally, she saw them. Her lips turned up into a bright, joyous smile and she carefully pushed through the crowd until she could run to Ash, wrapping her arms around them in a warm embrace.

"I missed you so much." Maria's words were mumbled against their neck, before she pulled back and pressed their lips together, a kiss that was deep and displayed just how true the admission was. Cupping Ash's face in her free hand, she held her partner there until breathing had to happen once more, pulling away with a small laugh. "It's so good to see you."

Get in loser, we're going shopping. as a first post, i wanted to do a personal take on one of my favorite sims trends and high school tropes, the mean girls! !! following the tradition set by heathers and, of course, mean girls, i set out to create a triumvirate of color-coded, matching adolescent social might from left to right, there's valerie, the airhead, maria, the queen bee, and stacey, the professional gossiper don't know if i'll do anything more with them in the future, but they were really fun to make and edit together :))
