Alder snorted, surprising himself. He'd completely forgotten about the ongoing Fun Zone saga. Sortof far from top of his priority list the last few years. "I'm sure you'll figure something out, dude. You were a pretty obnoxious kid, but you're not too bad at all as an adult." It was half-joking, half-true. He used to not get why Mav was so attached to Cain, he tried just for Maverick's sake, but he did now, maybe, see a glimpse of what was there all along.

Cain laughed, dry and sardonic, as his head dipped. His gaze settled on his feet, and he tucked his hands in his pockets. He knew Alder was being sincere, and it only made the idea sting more. He'd come a long way, but at what cost? And who had he helped after all this? "Thanks. If the Games really are done, I think maybe I'll jump start my career in motivational speaking. The Fun Zone went under during the war, so I need a new business venture." He tried to joke, to keep things from encroaching on too serious.
