SET WHEN MEREDITH DIDNT LIKE AMELIA MUCH IN THE BEGINNING
Reader pov:
One year. One whole year me and Amelia have been dating for. Itâs crazy how fast time feels when youâre in love, I do t know what Iâd do without her. The only issue is my best friends, Cristina and Metrdith. Not that Iâm afraid of their answer, well. Iâm not staid if Cristinaâs answer.
Meredithâs husband happens to be my girlfriend brother. Itâs a minor detail, and you know, Meredith isnât the biggest fan of said sister. Me and ames have talked it over and weâre going to tell people soon, but leave Mer till last, what could go wrong right?
Cristina went wrong.
âHey! Cristina!â I whisper yelled across the nurses station.
âIf you have another twisted-sisters-almost-died-or-had-a-traumatic-event drama to tell me save it for after my surgery. Please.â She sighed out.
âNo itâs not that I have to tell you something. But you can not, and I mean can not, tell mer.â I insist
âDann what did you do screw her sister or something?â
I stay silent at this and her eyes go wide. âOh. My. God. No you did not.â
I nod my head profusely and respond âWeâve been dating for a year Cristina. Me and Amelia, what am I supposed to tell her?!â I start to panic just thinking about all the different ways this could go wrong.
âOhh I have no idea! Good luck, youâre gunna need it, oh and tell me when youâre telling her so I can watch.â I rolled my eyes as she walked away from me towards the OR to scrub in.
I walk to my patients room pondering ways to tell mer about me and Amelia, it was going to be a long day.
Amelia pov:
âDerek! Come here!â I call out to him across the neuro floor.
âWhat do you need Iâve got a surgery with Yang in like, 2 minutes?â He says looking bored before I even start talking.
âHey you could at least act interest in what Iâm about to say, oh and donât tell mer yet. Please.â His interest was piqued at this so he gave me a look as if to say âkeep going youâve got me hookedâ so I continued âMe and y/n have been dating for a year, and we are o my just telling people ad were scared how mer will react because sheâs not exactly my biggest fan as of right now and her and y/n/n, and Cristina obviously, are like twisted sisters or whatever.â I took a breather after sayibg all that and my brother just looked like he wanted to laugh in my face.
âWell, good luck!â He smiled and walked off to the OR.
Well shit.
Reader pov:
I walk into my patients room still deep in thought when he speaks up, heâs fairly old, around 70-ish and was in for a broken hip. âYou seemed pretty serious with whatever you were talking about back there and now I donât even get a hello? Somethingâs gotta be on your mind Doctor.â He gave me a knowing smirk as I open my mouth yet no words come out and let out and exasperated sigh.
âAh you know, trouble in paradise, well, paradiseâs surroundings at least.â I say trying to be as brief as possible.
âHappens to the best of us kid.â He seemed like a genuinely nice guy and to be honest I needed a break so instead of getting a nurse to check his vitals I decided I was going to do them, although it seemed someone else had the same idea.
âHey y/n/n what are you doing here?â I hear a voice I know all too well say from behind me.
âHi Ames, just doing Mr Davisonâs vitals, are you okay?â I say giving her a smile.
âFunny I was just coming to do the same thing.â she walked beside me and trailed her hand lightly over my lower back which didnât go unnoticed by Mr Davison.
âYour âparadiseâ is a she? Ugh just another dyke, exactly what we need!â I stare at him shocked, as does Amelia. His sudden outburst seemed to pull some attention from outside and the one person that I didnât want to walked in, walked in.
âIs everything okay in here?â Meredith asked.
âNo get these people away from me! Horrible people you lgqbt whatever people!â He flailed his arms about like a toddler as he was ranting and raving. Immediately Meredith jumped to our defence.
âExcuse you? Who do you think youâre talking to? I have you know youâve just made and enemy out of the best neuro, general and ortho (sorry callie) in the state. Itâs 2024 in the USA for gods sake, get a grip man!â With this she ushered us out of the room and then into an in call room so she could talk to us.
âą
âYOURE WHAT?!â mer practically yelled
âKeep your voice down, yes weâre dating.â Amelia said to mer try help her keep her head on.
âLook Amelia, I love y/n with my whole heart sheâs my sister okay? So, if you hurt her, break her heart or do anything to even slightly harm her, I will hurt you twice as much. Sheâs the best thing thatâll ever happened to you, so donât screw it up okay?â My heart warmed after hearing just how much mer cared about me and that she would protect me but also slightly concerned she just threatened my girlfriend.
âYes maâam.â Amelia murmured clearly slightly intimidated by mer.
âOkay, now that thatâs out the way, Iâm so happy for you guys!â Me and Ames say thanks and merâs oager goes off so she has to run so me and amy are left alone in the in-call room.
âI love you Amelia.â I say as I peck her lips and wrap my arms around her neck.
âI love you too y/n/n.â At this she pulled me into a passionate kiss and lowered us both down onto a bed.
When in an unoccupied on-call roomâŠ

Hello :) Any chance for Amelia X reader(surgeon) fluff ,anything pls ? Amelia deserves better :((
Flirting
Paring: Amelia Shepherd x reader
Summary: In which y/n is flirting with Amelia, but she dosn't notice it.
A/N: I fucking hate it. I didn't have any idea for this, so it's just it. Let's hope that the next one is gonna be better (ă_)
You were one of the best surgeons at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital. And you have liked Amelia since you first met her. She was nice, smart, and beautiful. But you were too scared to tell her. You knew about her past lovers; you didn't even know if she wanted to start a new relationship, so you kept your feelings to yourself. But your feelings started growing more and more, so you made the decision to try with little steps.
"Hey Amelia," you greet her when you walk into lockers.
"Hey, y/n," she smiled at me. "Have you had any cool surgeries today?" she asked, closing her locker.
"Heart transplant."Â
"And that's interesting. Maybe I'm going to come and watch you?" She asked, which surprised me.
"Really?" I asked, too happy. "I mean, sure. You can come." She smiled at me and walked out of the locker room. On her way out, she passed Maggie, who gave her a soft smile as a greeting.
"Did you just?" Maggie asked, smiling broadly.
"Shut it," you say while putting your shirt on. "I want to take small steps with her."
"So you're just going to flirt with her?" the girl asked.
"Too loud, Maggie, too loud," you say. You then left the locker room, completely ignoring her question.
As she said, Amelia came.
Through the whole storm, you had a good mood. You even winked at her a few times.
"Sooo," you started when you met her after. "Wanna grab some lunch?" you asked.
"Sure," Amy smiled at you, which you returned as you stared as you made your way to the cafeteria.
"We never really talk a lot; why have you asked me to lunch now?" she asked.
"I just really like you, you know?" you answered, looking straight ahead. "We don't have a lot of time at work to talk either."
"Ah, okay. You're a good friend, you know y/n?" you nooded.
But at this moment, you didn't know if Amelia wasn't feeling the same for you or if she was just being dumb. You felt dumb. And kind of embarrassed because you just told her that you really liked her. Everyone who knew about your crush on Amy was saying that she was feeling the same.
"She did what?" Maggie asked with her eyes wide open while I was reviewing one of my patients' charts.
"She said that I'm a good friend. After I say that I like her!" I repeat, I am taking a sip of my coffee. "Maybe I wasn't obvious about it?"
"You said you liked her, just after you asked her to go to lunch with you! Is she dumb or something?"
"Don't talk about her like that, please." Maggie rolled her eyes.
"If she's dumb, then it's my turn," she said, then drank her coffee and started walking away. I followed her for a bit.
"Your turn to what?" I asked, and at the same time, my pager went on. I sighed.
"You'll see."
It was finally the end of my shift. I changed into my normal clothes and locked my locker, and to my surprise, I saw Amelia outside the room. This time, I tried to ignore her. I didn't say 'hello' or smile at her; I just packed my things into my bag and tried to leave.
"You were flirting with me, right?" she asked, making me stop. I took a deep breath.
"I was, Amy. But forget about it," I answered calmly as I approached the doors. Then Amelia laughed, making me stop again.
"I was so dumb," she said, grabbing my wrist.
"Ameliaâ"
"I really like you too, y/n. More than just a friend." She said it suddenly, leaving a moment of silence between us. I didn't wait after this. I turned around, leaning her against the locker, and then kissed her. She started kissing me back, making me feel satisfied. The kisses grew more passionate as we got closer and closer.
"Dinner. Tonight," Amy suggested, breaking the kiss.
"Sounds good," I answered, kissing her again when I heard the doors open. I grabbed my bag and headed for the door, giving her a wink.
"Text me later, Amy."

Can I request 3 and 4 with đ andđ for Callie and Arizona if it's okay with Callie being sick? I am loving everything that you have already written! You write with Marina super well I can't wait to see what you can do with Callie/Arizona.
Chicken Soup for the Surgeon
ăNotes: I had a bit of trouble trying to get the characters down for this one, I hope you like it.ă
ăSummary: Arizona's superpower is never wrong. That doesn't mean that Callie will listen.ă
ăWord Count: 2398 ă
âŸMasterlistsâœ
.ă»ă.ă»ăâă».ă»â«ă»ăă»ă.
Arizona had warned her. She had warned her ten hours ago, saying that she should take the day off of work because sheâd be sick. Callie wasnât typically one to ignore her wifeâs typically valid points, but she scoffed at the idea that the perky blonde could predict when someone would be sick with no evidence at all.Â
As a medical professional, she needed evidence for just about any decision in her life. There came a certain comfort when one worked in a field driven by science, a level of surety that was never swayed by opinion. No matter what someone believed there was a correct answer. There may have been multiple, but there was always an answer if you were willing to find it.Â
Imagine the orthopedic surgeon's annoyance when she woke up for her next shift with a pounding headache and stuffy nose. She groaned inwardly and rolled over in bed, surprised to find it empty. Her wife was nowhere to be seen. Shit.Â
The brunette checked the time and her âshitâ feeling grew more intense. She was late. She was so very late.Â
Ignoring the protests of her overly exhausted body the surgeon pulled herself out of bed and raced to the bathroom, pulling on the first clothes that she managed to yank from the dresser. She managed to brush her teeth while doing her hair, a feat that she was mildly impressed by. She was capable of doing anything if she was late.Â
Callie ran into the kitchen, grabbing her bags as she headed for the door, pulling up short when she saw a note on the counter.Â
Calliope-
Donât you dare come to work today. Bailey knows youâre sick and is under orders to alert me if you are seen entering the hospital. Thereâs chicken soup in the fridge, heat it for lunch. Iâll call you in a few hours to check-in.Â
Love you,Â
ArizonaÂ
The note gave the ill doctor pause. What if she did say home? What if she followed her wifeâs orders and went back to bed? She knew from experience that Arizona made amazing chicken noodle soup, it was practically the only thing that she could cook. She also knew that there was a good chance that the blonde would come home to her if she asked.Â
Callie pushed the thought away as quickly as it had appeared, she probably wouldnât be allowed to see patients but she could at least fill out paperwork. Like most of her coworkers, she was awful about finishing her paperwork on time, there was just so much going on that she didnât always have time.Â
ââââ
Amelia was startled from her intense study of the brain scan by a hacking cough that reverberated off of the walls and made her chest hurt in sympathy. She poked her head through the doorway and curled her lip at the sight of Callie stumbling down the hallway.Â
âTorres!â She called, pulling the brunetteâs attention away from whatever her original task was. Based on the glazed look in the Ortho Goddesses eyes and the emptiness in her expression Amelia wasnât even sure that she had a task.Â
âDamn, youâve kept that cough through two colds and it sounds like youâre on your third.â The neurosurgeon murmured, pressing the back of her hand against Callieâs hot forehead. She grimaced and the other doctor took a few quick steps away, looking dazed. She turned away and began to cough into her arm, doing her best to shield the woman in front of her from the germs.Â
Amelia reared back, covering her mouth with a hand.Â
âNo, nope. I have to be in a kid's brain in two hours, you are not giving me whatever that is. Go home Callie, youâre gross.â She wrinkled her nose and gave Callie a sympathetic pat on the shoulder before running off to rub hand sanitizer on any part of her body that might have been exposed to whatever her friend was currently infected with.Â
The ill woman sniffled tiredly and trudged down the hall, not going anywhere in particular. With her brain on autopilot, Callie found herself wandering onto the pediatric unit, right to where Arizona was signing reports outside of a young patient's room.Â
âI want a clotting test done on her and make sure to continue monitoring her vitals, page me if they drop any lower.â The blonde doctor ordered, smiling warmly at a nurse. The man nodded and went to get the things needed for the clotting test.Â
Callie realized her mistake at the last second and tried to veer off course, but it was too late, she had been seen. The pediatric surgeon glared at her sick girlfriend and shook her head, resisting the urge to start yelling in the middle of the hallway.Â
While the woman always loved her heelies, she was particularly grateful for them in that moment, it made it much easier to catch up with her fleeing lover.Â
âCalliope! What the hell are you doing here?â She hissed, grabbing the brunette's shoulder and spinning her around. Callie looked at her with wide eyes, seeming at a loss for words. She was never at a loss for words, she always had something to say.Â
Arizona felt her heart drop at the look on the womanâs face, she just looked exhausted and confused.Â
âCallie. Baby. Why are you here?â She asked, her voice softening as she let go of the frustration. Her girlfriend had a fever, she wasnât fully aware of what was happening.Â
âI umâŠI didnât want to be alone.â Callie said sheepishly, refusing to meet Arizonaâs eyes. She was incredibly embarrassed by the admission, she wasnât one to express any kind of weakness, and this, this was weakness. This was just about as bad as it could get. She was vulnerable, she wanted her girlfriend.Â
âOh, Calliope. Okay,â The blonde sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose as she tried to figure out what she should do. She could stick the other woman in a room until her shift was over, that might be the best course of action. Or she could just take her home to make sure that she rested and it was probably best to remove her from the hospital entirely so that she didn't sneak off to work.Â
âEllen,â She said, turning back to one of the nurses. âIâm going to take Dr. Torres home, I want you to page Dr. Montgomery-Shepard if anything happens. She will decide if I am needed.â The nurse nodded her understanding and gave Callie a sympathetic smile. The doctor wrinkled her nose in distaste, unhappy that she was getting so much attention. She just wanted her girlfriend.Â
âCâmon Callie. Letâs go.â Arizona whispered, looping her arm through the other womanâs. Callie coughed into her shoulder and the pedâs surgeon hummed her disapproval and rubbed her back to calm the fit.Â
âYou okay?âÂ
âMhm,â Callie replied, rasped rather, her eyes dull and clouded with fever. She had started to shiver a bit, inching closer to the woman by her side. Arizona held her a bit tighter as they walked out of the building, throwing a wave at a slightly annoyed-looking Bailey on the way out.Â
One look at the orthopedic surgeon and the womanâs expression turned from frustrated confusion to a mix of disgust and concern. She waved back with a slight eye-roll, leaving the two to go home.Â
Callie fell asleep as soon as Arizona started the car, her cold taking everything out of her. The blonde smiled over at her girlfriend, her heart swelling at just how beautiful she was. The wrinkles on her forehead were gone, leaving a soft content expression on her face.Â
Her lips were parted and her nose was red, but that didnât take away from her overall beauty. It added a sort of vulnerability to the womanâs stoic demeanor. That was when Arizona realized: she was in love with Calliope Torres.Â
She drove in silence, contemplating the revelation that sheâd just had, glancing over at the sick brunette every few seconds just to reassure herself that the woman was still breathing. The quiet was only broken by the sounds of Callies soft snores and sniffles.Â
When they arrived home Arizona was almost hesitant to wake the brunette, she was sleeping more peacefully than she had in weeks. But her cheeks were flushed and her nose had begun to run across her lip, they needed to go inside.Â
She climbed out of the car and shut the door quietly, hoping to give her just a few more seconds of rest. The blonde opened Callieâs door and touched her shoulder, squeezing it gently to wake her up.Â
âHey Callie, it's time to wake up.â She murmured, reaching up to tuck a lock of thick dark hair behind her lover's ear. The brunette started, sitting up quickly with wide confused eyes. She stared at Arizona, almost looking right through her.Â
âHey baby, itâs okay.â Callie frowned, looking around, disoriented as she tried to take in her surroundings. She was pretty sure sheâd fallen asleep at the hospital, butâŠthis wasnât the hospital.
âWeâre at home, remember?â The blonde could read her mind and any other day it would be cute, but for now it was creepy. It was making her nervous, she didnât fully understand what was happening and all she wanted to do was go back to sleep, hopefully in her girlfriendâs arms.Â
âWeâre at home?â She asked, blinking tiredly up at her fellow surgeon.Â
âMhm, weâre home. Come on, let's get you inside.â Arizona wrapped an arm around Callieâs waist and helped her walk inside, being incredibly careful not to let her trip up the steps. It was a slow, painstaking process, but soon enough she had the brunette in the bedroom, standing near the bed.Â
âI gotta change.âÂ
âWoah, woah, sit down your complexionâs scaring me. Iâll help you change, okay? Let's take your temp first.â The pediatric surgeon whipped out a thermometer and dragged it across Callieâs forehead, simultaneously forcing the brunette to sit down. She held the womanâs chin in hand as she stared at the device in her hand.Â
âOkay, 101.6, thatâs not as bad as I thought. Here, I want you to change into these while I get some NyQuil, which you will be taking. Understood?â Arizona had gone full-on doctor mode, not leaving anything up to fate. She would be taking everything into her own hands to make sure that her girlfriend got better instead of worse.Â
Callie sighed and nodded, slightly relieved to have her girlfriend with her. She wasnât alone, she didnât have to deal with it on her own, and she had someone to take care of her. The brunette watched as Arizona left the room and began the painstaking process of undressing, her muscles aching in protest with her every move.Â
She had managed to pull on the sweatpants and get the shirt half off when the other woman returned, a bottle of Nyquil in one hand and a glass of orange juice in the other. She set her things down on the bedside table and chuckled at he lover's predicament, rolling her eyes slightly.Â
âNeed some help?â She chuckled, moving to pull the shirt off the rest of the way and replace it with the soft cotton one. With the woman changed and sitting in bed, she was now pouting up at her blonde lover.Â
âI donât feel good.â The brunette complained, sniffling pathetically. Her cheeks were flushed which was a huge contrast to the pallor of the rest of her skin. As soon as the âIâm the toughest person in the room grrrâ attitude wore off, Callie turned into a big baby when she was sick. It was sort of endearing.Â
âI know Callie. Take this and drink half of that OJ and then you can get some sleep.â Arizona ordered, handing over the small âshot glassâ of medicine. The ill woman grimaced and glanced up with a âdo I have to?â look on her face that she hoped would work. She forgot that her girlfriend got that look all of the time.Â
âNice try, take it.â With a long-suffering sigh, Callie did what she was told, being sure to exaggerate her disgusted expression the whole time.
âYouâre mean.â She grumbled, reaching for the orange juice to chase the awful taste of the medicine.Â
âYeah, but Iâm cute.â Arizona grinned back at her and began to change, pulling her hair out of its ponytail as she climbed back into comfy clothes, fully intending to join her girlfriend.Â
Callie drank about a quarter of the OJ before she couldnât do it anymore, her throat protesting against the acidity of the drink. It wasnât that she didnât want to make Arizona happy, but she just couldnât drink anymore.Â
âAlright, I guess thatâll do. Now, you are going to take a nap and I am going to do some work. Sound good?â The blonde wasnât really looking for an agreement, it was happening whether or not Callie wanted, but thankfully she did.Â
She curled into the womanâs side as she pulled the blankets over the two of them, opening her laptop as she settled under the covers. The slightly younger surgeon put one hand on the top of Callieâs head, stroking her hair as she typed with one hand, the clack of the keys lulling the sick woman into a sleepy daze.Â
ââZona?â She mumbled, already slurring as she began to fall asleep. Arizona hummed in response, not looking up from her screen. She had files to finish and this was the perfect excuse to catch up on some of the pointless work that sheâd been putting off.
âLove you âZona.â She stopped in her work and looked down at the woman by her side, a smile spreading across her lips. Callie was chuckling quietly, her body shaking with quiet laughter.Â
âI love you too. Now shush, I need to work.â And that was that. Calliope Torres lay with Arizona Robbins, one sleeping fitfully while the other worked. It wasnât the most glamorous sick day, and it wasnât the most comfortable, but at least she wasnât alone. Both would later agree that leaving Callie to roam while she had a fever was definitely not the best idea.Â

this is probably an unpopular opinion but I'd honestly love if greys brought britney/betty back even just for an episode to like... run into amelia or something somewhere and have them catch up. I always felt like that storyline ended abruptly and really liked seeing amelia with her. idk.

Itâs okay
Word count:1.5k
Pairing: Amelia x fem!reader
Warnings: panic attack, mention of death/patient loss, tiny angst ig? mostly a comfort fic
!!NOT PROOFREAD!!
Reader is an OB-GYN at Grey Sloan
Request: @wh0reformeredithgrey on wattpad
more comfort/sickfics? maybe I really enjoy them or like y/n is having a panic attack or is upset and someone comforts them.
Hope you like it!!
Reader POV:
"Charge again!" I yelled to the scrub nurses around me. They all just stared and did nothing. "Goddammit, did you not hear me? Charge the paddles!" I exclaimed tears pricking at my eyes and panic lacing my breaking voice.
"Doctor, we've been trying to get her back for 25 minutes now, she's gone. You have to call it." Bokhee said to me.
"But-" I tried protested but was cut off.
"She's gone, I'm sorry."
"She's only 16, her and her baby are gone, what am I supposed to tell her parents?" I rambled
"Doctor, you need to call it." Bokhee repeated
"Time of death, 19:37." At that I ripped of my mask, gloves and gown and headed to tell the parents.
As soon as I walked in the room they stood up with hopeful faces. As soon as they saw my state the mother started to cling to her husband and sob.
"I'm so sorry, there was a complication during surgery. Her heart stopped and the cause was her preeclampsia causing a blood clot stopping the blood flow to her heart and it was too quick to prevent. I'm so sorry for your loss." Then he started yelling. All of it was a blur from then in.
"YOU SAID IT WAS A SIMOLE SURGERY!" and so on. He just kept going. The mother still sobbing. Then all of a sudden I saw a blur of beige and then a stinging sensation on my cheek as my face was pushed to the side.
People had seen the commotion and the saw her dad slap me and stepped in. "SIR, STOP RIGHT NOW." Bailey said, escorting the man out. Jo tried to come comfort me but I just stormed off. I needed to be alone. I needed to cry.
Amelia POV:
Today has been really great, I had 2 back to back craniotomy's and both of them went really well; I got paged to the pit and got to poke around in people brain all day and didn't loose one patient. It was amazing.
I'm walking down the hallway to go find my girlfriend so I can gush about all my surgeries to her, but she seems to be nowhere. I've looked in all of her usual spots, looked in OR's, patient rooms I've asked her best friend, Jo, if she knows where she is an she didn't, she just said she ran off after what happened; but I don't know what happened. Is she okay?
I was about to give up and just page her when I see her storming down a corridor and walk into a storage cupboard and close the door. Instantly I knew something was wrong. Storage cupboards are for crying, or getting away from annoying patients. No in between. Y/N is the most tolerant person I know so, I knew it wasn't good.
Trying to walk as fast as I could but not draw attention to myself was hard but I managed. It seemed like forever before I reached the door. I didn't bother knocking because she'd just tell me to go away. When I walked in the was curled up, knees to her chest and head in her hands, crying. No scratch that, sobbing. Whatever happened had to have really hit her hard.
Reader POV:
I lost them. Both of them. Mum and baby. She was 16! She didn't deserve to die, and neither did her kid. It's my fault. All my fault.
I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard the door swing open and shut and I instantly knew who it was.
"Oh sweetheart. It's okay." Was the only thing she said before she got down on the floor next to me and pulled me into her comforting embrace.
Even though having Amelia here was making it a little better I started to spiral again. My breath started to get thready and I already knew what was coming. My hands started shaking while my heart thumped faster and faster against my chest. I felt like I was going to explode. My chest was getting tight and I started hyperventilating, it felt like I was being suffocated. I started clawing at my arms just trying to feel something other than this emotional pain and feeling that I didn't do enough. Amelia clearly noticed my state and went into action.
"Look at me." She said as she pulled away from the hug and grabbed my hands to discontinue my previous actions.
"Breathe, okay? Long deep breathes. C'mon do it with me. In, hold, and out."
It helped a bit but not much I was still unable to catch my breath.
"Hey tell me about that cat that you wanted?"
"What?" I said back through choked tears and ragged breathes.
"Tell me. Everything I wanna hear it."
"Uhm okay. She's a siamese cat, and she's the fluffiest of her litter. She's got heterochromia, one eye blue and one green, and when she sees me when I go to the adoption place she runs up and headbutts my leg." I giggle at that last part and realise it helped calm me down. I'm still crying but I can breathe now and my chest isn't tight.
I didn't even realise that Amelia had moved my legs so I was cross legged and facing her while she rubbed her hands lovingly up and down my thighs. She was just staring into my eyes with nothing but love and concern.
"Great job baby, you're doing so well, you wanna talk about it, Ii might help?" I nodded and stated talking her through it.
"A teen mum came in, she was 8 months pregnant and 16. She was having pains in her abdomen, it was just a small very minor ovarian cyst that could be removed with a simple procedure that wouldn't affect her or the baby. But, for some reason they failed to mention that she had preeclampsia which I figured out mid surgery so that made me become really concerned because of how long she'd been under and decided that I didn't have time to search to see if the other ovary was clear, I just had to close. Just as I was about to her BP plummeted and she went into full arrest, first I opened her up and saw the clot, I removed it and used internal panels and she came back but it just kept clotting over and over. I shocked her for 25 minutes and they were both gone. The baby died instantaneously when her heart stopped the first time. It was my fault. All my fault. I should've seen the elevated BP indicating preeclampsia in her labs but I didn't, it was so subtle I-" I rambled on when Amelia cut me off.
"No. Okay? No. It was not your fault, they should've told you she had preeclampsia. That's something that greatly impacts how much surgery you can do and how much the mum can take. It wasn't your fault that she clotted either. No one could've prevented that."
"Yeah but I put her body under stress which cause her to clot."
"How do you know that? Do you know that as a fact? Tell me right here right now that you are confident and 100% sure it was because of the stress of the surgery." I stayed silent, the truth is, I didn't know what caused the clot I just instantly blamed myself. Amelia then started talking again.
"Exactly, you need to not be so hard on yourself y/n/n, it's not good for you." I stayed quite and just climbed into her arms and cried.
"He hit me." I said out of the blue after a few minutes of just being in each others presence.
"He what? Who? Where? Are you hurt?" Amelia said becoming protective over me immediately.
"The girls dad, he was yelling really loud and saying horrible things about me, that I probably deserved, and he hit me." I pointed to my red cheek. Not that you could really see in the dim light of the cupboard.
"I'll kill him." She said coldly.
"No Ames, I'm okay I swear. It was just too much, and thank you for helping me through the uh- you know.." I trailed off at the end embarrassed that I had a full on panic attack in front of my girlfriend.
"Y/n/n you don't need to be embarrassed it's completely okay and a natural response. And touching on what you said earlier that you deserved to be slapped, you didn't. It wasn't your fault, okay?"
"Okay." I said back to her as she stood up and helped me off the floor.
As soo as I stood up I was engulfed in her arms.
"I love you so much Amelia." I said
"I love you more y/n."

I have never liked Kai but after that last ep seriously LOL @ them. âI was going to tell you last night but you were just so sadâ lmfao the way they said that line made it sound like Amelia was just a sad person and not just sad at the moment.
