while on the topic of iron posting. a very small very insignificant thing that i really enjoy is that nobody really harasses it for not speaking. and like. we don't know precisely why it doesn't speak. it could be because it's mute, it could be due to an unseen injury, it could just be a selective choice, it could be that it never bothered to learn human language to begin with, etc etc. but there's never been a scene (at least as far as i can recall) where mr iron is specifically called out or pressured or anything of the sort. not even by its own haters 4 haters coworkers. and yeah this is realistically probably because its an ESPECIALLY deadly space bat that could kill you six ways from sunday if you pissed it off, but also, y'know, sometimes it's really nice just having a mute character that's treated Normally for once

"This town's big enough for one cool guy,"
"There's something different about you,"
WAGH, THE MAFIAxGANGLEADER AU PIECE IS FINALLY DONE GOOD GOD, DESIGNING NEZHA AND AO BING PUT ME THROUGH THE WRINGER
Anyways! Hope you guys like these designs! Might draw more of the other characters (The rest of the Loong family + SGB, or the rest of Nezha's gang) one of these days lmao
Some design notes:
Ao Bing
The thing over his shoulders is a hanfu-styled jacket, with it's inner having a dragon pattern in the style of those blue porcelain pieces
The lapels of his vest and the hem of his pants have the same print as the fabric of his hanfu and robes in his canon design
The hairpin that keeps his hair up is supposed to mimic his horns in canon, though I don't know how clear that is 😭
His hair is incredibly well-maintained, especially since he dyes it often
It's not pictured, but he has ice burn scars that crawl up from his palms to a little above his wrists
This is what he wears on the job/when going outside. Otherwise, he dresses pretty casually, defaulting to a light sweater vest, sweater, or cardigan over a white button-up (like the one fit his irl mascot wore lmao)
Again, unseen, but he has a large tattoo of his dragon form from the original movies! I still haven't decided if I want it on his arm or on his back yet tho lmao
That uniform has been through a lot. A lot of his wardrobe comes in white or light blues, which is a biiiit of problem when you're the son of a mafia kingpin and you're occasionally tasked with "helping" people "swim with the fishes".
Nezha
All of his clothes are thrifted. All of them. Especially the red cropped jacket
Speaking of which, has lots of lotus motifs (inspired by this design by snowscapism) and the yellow lining the lapels calls back to the vest lil Nezha has in canon
That crop top used to be a normal, black crop top before Nezha absolutely shredded it (probably in some accident) and painted over it to make it "cooler". He also painted over the cargo pants he's wearing.
ANOTHER jacket tied to his waist as another callback to the yellow ribbon in Nezha's canon design
A lot of his jewelry were gifted to him by mama Yin when she saw he took interest in some of her own pieces when he was younger. The only ones that weren't were his helix piercings which he got without telling anyone in his family lmao
He also does his own makeup and face paint. The red, flame-like markings are a symbol of their gang, and every member has the mark, often done by Nezha himself
HENNNAAAAA!!! I GAVE HIM HENNA ON HIS HANDS :))) I LOVE HENNAAAAAAA!! They have a lotus design on them, but they aren't exactly that noticeable 😭
Rollerblades....

AUGH AUGH AUGH AUGH [sounds of me dying the longer I go without writing about the mad scientist AU] Nie Huaisang has just received a message written in blood via a crow that does NOT look alive, likely from Wei Wuxian due to the reference of what his sect is like, similar to how he first approached Nie Huaisang with a message. He isn't quite sure what to do - he should go to his brother at least with this information, but he is very busy planning the war with Lan Xichen and Nie Huaisang doesn't want to cause any more stress for them. So! He instead goes to Lan Wangji, who is, as always, helping out in the medical tents whenever he's not on the battlefield. Instead of saying anything that could draw attention to the situation, Nie Huaisang just waves him over and then shows off the yin filled - almost definitely dead - crow, before gesturing for them both to leave the medical tent. Lan Wangji goes without question.
Nie Huaisang shows him the message and is like "so uhh I'm pretty sure this is from Wei Wuxian." "Why is it written in blood?" "he's in the Burial Mounds, you can't expect him to have ink." Lan Wangji concedes this point, and wants to know why he is being told this, so Nie Huaisang explains that to have a batshit insane Wei Wuxian on their side would be very damn useful. Issue is, they need to find the Wen siblings and Xue Yang and get them to safety in order to get his support in the war, and Lan Wangji is great for field missions during this lull in the fighting. It's not like Nie Huaisang is going out!! He works best behind the scenes, after all.
Of course, Lan Wangji is more than desperate to make up for the mistakes he made by not attempting to help Wei Wuxian when he first had a chance to, so he goes out of his way to hunt for the Wen siblings and Xue Yang, chasing down information in a way that is basically like what he was doing during those three months in canon. He finally learns that they are in the supervisory office of Yiling, and goes on over there to collect them - and take back Yiling in the process. Yes, there is a thought of how close Wei Wuxian really was to his family all along, but it's overshadowed by the realisation that they need to explain to Nie Mingjue and Lan Xichen what's been going on while they've been busy plotting and planning to save the Jianghu.
Lan Wangji makes the executive decision to bring it up during a meeting, and there is varying degrees of skepticism to the news. Nie Mingjue and Lan Xichen are open to the chance of a changing tide in the war, plus they owe Wei Wuxian the protection of his family after they so carelessly overlooked him before he was thrown into the Burial Mounds. Jin Zixuan is like "I said right from the start that he was brainwashed, but nobody believed me!" so he's willing to take the risk of harbouring three wen associates if it means being proven right through the powerhouse that could be Wei Wuxian. (I should explain that they believe that he must be pretty powerful right now because one, he's actually survived in the Burial Mounds, and two, he's had previous work with resentful energy, he had to be getting up to some kind of work in the hellsite.)
Jiang Fengmian is like "I don't know all that much about him, but he did save Jiang Cheng's life, and he's the son of my bestie" but Yu Ziyuan (who is obviously there because why wouldn't she be) is NOT having it. Why would she? She's a hater. She's saying all sorts of insults n shit, but Lan Wangji basically left the moment he got assent from all of the actual sect leaders, so it's all for naught in the end. Lan Wangji is too busy showing up to the supervisory office in Yiling with a small group of soldiers, kicking ass and taking names like there's no tomorrow. Xue Yang, who is quite rabid at the moment, is watching the carnage and being like "I'm going to fucking kill anyone who touches Wei-gege's notes" while Wen Ning and Wen Qing are getting ready to escape. Lan Wangji catches them in the act but is like "we're here to help" and shows them the note that the crows sent.
The lads (Wen siblings + Xue Yang) realise that Wei Ying is alive and go through so many different emotions but they don't have time to unpack all of them - Xue Yang wants to go into the Burial Mounds himself to collect Wei Ying, but Wen Qing shuts that down. They don't know how Wei Ying survived, and they have no clue if Xue Yang would survive. It's best to just let Wei Ying come back to them, like a stray puppy. Xue Yang does not like this, so Wen Qing instead gets him with a needle and Wen Ning carries him along, used to this turn of events. (Yes I have decided that Wen Ning is the shy but sweet brawns to his older sister's brains. He's not not smart or anything, I just think it'd be neat.)
Meanwhile, the crows are watching all around because they're in Yiling, and they report back to an anxiously awaiting Wei Ying, who has been pre-emptively gathering an army of resentful spirits who could find closure in fighting and violence and death. He's helping them all be chill through a gentle melody session, and the Burial Mounds is dragging more spirits into Its grounds to help out Its precious son! Wei Ying learns that his family is not only alive but close to him, and is simultaneously kicking himself while also thanking the Gods that they are alive and they're going to be safe in the grasps of the Sunshot Campaign. With that knowledge handed to him, he feels a lot calmer as he squares his shoulders, pushing all the pain to the side and focusing on the army of resentful spirits he has created.
Oh, the Wen won't know what hit them.

The TGCF Audio Drama released a mini theatre episode set during Quanyin's disciple days, and i did a rough translation of the dialogue in it! It shows how close QYZ and YY used to be before everything went wrong ;A;
[Context: The neighbouring sect’s eldest shixiong bullies his younger shidis. QYZ saw it, was angered by the injustice and seems to have ripped up some of the tiles in the roof of the neighbouring sect’s temple/monastery]
Translation below:
Disciple from the other sect: Eldest Shixiong, this person is too arrogant! Disciple 2: Exactly! How dare he rip up our monastery roof! What are we still standing around discussing for? Let's settle it with a fight!  QYZ: Come at me! Eldest shixiong from the other sect: You really think you're so strong, huh? QYZ: Yeah, I'm stronger than you guys.  Eldest shixiong from the other sect: You - ! (YY appears at that moment) YY: Yizhen! QYZ: Shixiong!  YY: My fellow cultivator brothers, I am truly sorry. On behalf of Yizhen, I would like to apologize and seek forgiveness.  YY: (draws out money) For the damage and losses incurred by your honorable sect, we will bear full responsibility. My deepest apologies.  Disciple 1 from the other sect: Again? That’s all he’s going to do?  Disciple 2: You should already know by now, Yin Yu will definitely help his little shidi. Eldest shixiong from the other sect: This time, I will save face for Yin Yu. Next time, I won't let you off so easily! Let's go! [The disciples from the other sect leave]  QYZ: Shixiong, that person is like you, he's also the sect's eldest Shixiong. Why does he bully his own shidis?   YY: Yizhen, this matter... Jian Shi aka Jian Yu (interrupting): Some people choose to establish their authority in this way, it's within their capabilities to do so. You aren't even from their sect, so why do you just have to insist on poking your nose into others' affairs, dragging our sect into a dispute?  QYZ: Because I don't like it. Jian Shi: So just because you don't like it, that means that you can destroy another sect's roof?? You - !! (seethes with anger) Jian Shi to YY: Yin Yu Shixiong, tell him off! YY: …In this matter, Yizhen wasn’t exactly wrong. Furthermore, it is his birthday today, so you shouldn’t rebuke him so much anymore, alright?  QYZ: Shixiong, you remembered! YY: Of course I remembered.  QYZ: Then, where’s my birthday present? YY: I’ve already prepared it long ago. It’s a little heavy, so I didn’t bring it with me just now. QYZ (excitedly): Then let’s go back and get it! Jian Shi (still aggrieved): This… this rascal… QYZ (delighted): Shixiong, it’s really great that you remembered my birthday. YY (fondly): Of course! Every year for Yizhen’s birthday, I must prepare a gift early in advance for you. QYZ: Then, will you also remember it next year? Will there be a present for me every year? YY (in promise): Yes, every year. QYZ: Then it’s agreed! YY: En.  (YY pats QYZ fondly, QYZ laughs joyfully)

Okayyy Li family designs and head canons now
Here are their outfit refs and various head canons and lore ramblings if you scroll further, you know the drill :3
Tumblr media
Zhenying is good friends with Longnü and Ao Lie despite being two years younger than them. She's been friends with Longnü since she was two and met Ao Lie after she became an immortal
Zhenying’s design draws loosely from the Chinese Oriole, a bird symbolising joy and friendship
Yes, all of Nezha's siblings knew about his and Ao Bing's friendship when they were younger. It's just Muzha that's oblivious to their current relationship
Jinzha has long since graduated from being Wenshu Guangfa Tianzun’s disciple and now works as a member of the Court of Heaven as one of the Five Wisdom Kings
Muzha is a senior disciple of Guanyin, along with one Ao Cinxin. ‘Senior disciple’ is more a of a courtesy title, as Muzha more of an assistant to Guanyin than a student
Zhenying is currently a disciple of Yuding Zhenren, the same deity that taught Erlang Shen. None of her brothers are thrilled about this
Erlang Shen is the one who recommended Zhenying for the work of a fighter pilot for the Celestial Army. It stresses Li Jing out
Muzha is the one who actually introduced Ao Cinxin and Erlang Shen to each other, having been long time acquaintances with them both. He likes bragging about the fact that he got them together, by complete accident
Nezha loved his mother deeply. She was the person who built his first (and favourite) temple but also she was good and kind and helped his best friend through the worst time of his life when Nezha didn't know how. He'll always respect her for it
Nezha's reasoning for still sticking close to his father despite all the shit Li Jing puts him through is because of how much Lady Yin loved him. There must have been a reason his mother loved his father so much, right? There must’ve been. There must've. Why can't Nezha see it then?
Jinzha looks the most like Lady Yin. None of them look like Li Jing all that much. In fact, they all get very insulted if someone ever says that they look like their dad
Before his suicide and rebirth, Nezha's eyes were brown. They're now more reddish
Muzha has heterochromia, his right eye is grey and and left is brown
Zhenying’s rankings for her brothers goes as such:
Muzha. She and him are very like minded and she gets along best with him as a result. It's also him that she sees most often in the Celestial Realm. He's twelve years her senior
Jinzha. She doesn't see him as much but she admires that he's very hardworking and would stand for the things he believes in. He is sixteen years older than her
Nezha. Zhenying holds a lot of hate and resentment for her third brother. They have an eight year age difference
Jinzha is actually allergic to lotus root. It's nothing serious, he just gets hives if he ingests some, but it sucks because a lot of specialties of Chengtang Pass are made with lotus root
He also gets itchy after he kisses Nezha on the cheek or things like that, since Nezha's body is made of lotus paste. Nezha protests against Jinzha’s affection, not wanting to trigger his allergy, but Jinzha does not care lmao. Muzha even encourages it
Muzha is the one that gets along with all of his siblings' teachers and often has tea with them. Sometimes, Zhenying will also tag along. This is how Zhenying enlisted Taiyi Zhenren’s help in resurrecting Ao Bing
Muzha is the most sociable out of the four of them, and he looks the most approachable by far
Zhenying greatly admires Ao Bing, mostly because of how highly both Longnü and Ao Lie spoke of him. She hates that she does not remember him more
Muzha’s most prized possession is a pair of gold hoop earrings that he inherited from his mother
Li Jing’s favourite child is Zhenying
Nezha still keeps up frequent contact with his older brothers. It's just Zhenying that he doesn't speak to often, not like she wants to speak to him anyway
Zhenying is just a smidgen taller than Nezha. He's the shortest out of the four of them and he's not happy about it
Muzha has a fierce loyalty to their father. To the point where he was injured by Nezha during a fight between him and Li Jing. They’ve long been over that incident and Muzha loves his father and younger brother very much… but even he has to admit sometimes that his father can go too far
On the other hand, Jinzha prefers Nezha over Li Jing. He hates his fathers temper, something that both Nezha and Zhenying inherited, and wishes that he could be more rational at times
Zhenying’s the most doted on by Li Jing. Sometimes, it makes her feel guilty that he loves her so much in comparison with her brothers, especially when Zhenying herself would much rather her own mother than her father
Muzha dresses the most casual since it’s rare that he’s actually attending celestial court meetings
While all the Li siblings are friends with at least one of the East or West Sea dragons, (Ao Bing for Nezha, Longnü for Zhenying, Cinxin for Muzha,) Jinzha is actually friends with both Ao Jia and Ao Mo'ang
Muzha: Wow da ge! How come dad lets you have two dragon friendships?
Jinzha: Diplomatic relations lmao
On second thought, maybe it's just Muzha that doesn't have a second friendship with a royal dragon, since Zhenying and Nezha both knew and were friendly with Ao Lie. But does that count when he's dead?
Nezha and Zhenying's dynamic on the days where they're chill with each other:

After seeing your drawing of Dan and Kori, I've realised that I need their friendship like right now.
They would be so cute together! Chaot, but in a good way? And I could definitely see Dan being soft for Kori during their friendship.
And where in most dpxdc stuff where majority of people don't understand ghost fighting, the fact Kori does with her culture would make a great bonding experience.
Context
Yesssss ty for seeing my vision!! I just think they’d oddly suit each other as either partners, best friends, whatever.
Like even with Dan’s terrible past, I think Kori would be really empathetic to him. Tamaranean culture is focused on emotions and love, so I think that Kori would be really interested in Dan, since imo, all of his actions are based off of love (or losing that love via his loved ones’ deaths.) She’s also a good fighter who picked herself up from a bad past and became a hero, meanwhile, Dan is someone who was a hero, had a bad past, and then became a villain before his redemption arc. For Dan, I think he would be reminded of Jazz whenever he interacts with Kori and Kori is also a good person, so I think he’d really like that.
They’re just so??? Yin and Yang coded??? Like omg???
I will be making a post ab this bc I’d loveee to draw Kori some more too XD

The Eclipse is here!
Thought it would be fun to draw all of the moths in the game, and by all I mean 80% of them because thinking about how to draw M.M. and the Zomoth as well as Kali already makes me tired.
But undercut is very rough sketches of Kali I did for reference for the Kabbu fight drawing I did a bit ago. (She would've been the tallest out of everyone.)
I'm going to briefly go over their designs now.
I thought Neolith was just a generic moth, though after looking up "striped moth" he could be some sort of hawk moth, or its just a design choice. Either way I think I want to change his wing patterns later.
Not very seen well, I think Mothiva would have fake lashes. She has a cute design though.
I don't have much to say on Yin, she looks polite and I think I achieved that here.
I think I referenced the wrong hawk moth for Hawk, but the red accents really does make him look cooler. Gave him a honeycomb pin too.
Screw you all, Tod has gynandromorphism now. Realistically, the change in speices will be defined by a clear line, but I decided to be dotty with so I can still be true the original design.
Wanted to give Muze a more kind motherly vibe in contrast in what I have in mind for Muse.
I don't know how to draw old people, let alone old bugs. Gave grandpa some loose hairs here and there.
Was aiming for Muse to look more like a fighter, and she's leaning for towards the magenta side than pink. Overall wanted to differentiate her from Muze while still looking similar to each other.

Hi caro 🌹 I saw in your hyunjin kibbe post( which I loved brw) that you mentioned some luxury brands and their go to kibbe types . I was wondering what kind of brands would best suit pure romantic? There is so little about the subject of pure R s sadly . Have a nice day ❤
KIBBE'S PURE ROMANTIC IN FASHION & HISTORY (+ even architecture)
R is the opposite of the tall, non-curve dominant dramatic and flamboyant natural model body types, which is why it SEEMS juxtaposed to haute couture on paper, as if people thought:
"romantic = gentle flowing style of bygone eras on a small figure 8 body = not fashion just a past reference,
Tumblr media
dramatic = severe modernity with ultra sharp lines on a statuesque body = yep, that's forward modern fashion for the runway".
Tumblr media
...even if the opposite is easily true (e.g. damiano david often dressing fashionably romantic)!
Tumblr media
and the strawberry R dress causing a real fashion ruckus.
Tumblr media
sure, that polar opposite logic isn't 100% erroneous. dressing tall models in R will often feel retrospective and damiano is SD-ish so he can do both; plus yin garments are too cinched & short for 6'0+ models as no vertical is accommodated.
there's a reason why the 50s are THE romatic (+ SC) era, as is baroque, R feeling almost confined to these periods.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
however, many brands actually do design innovative yin lines! romantic equals luxury, excess & abundance (= upper class), ornamentation and glamour itself, as kibbe wrote, after all. a dramatic body type does not exude abundance and ornamental detail at all.
Tumblr media
(even if such garments can cost hundreds and it could be difficult to craft and accurately sew!)
D is spartan, brutalist, geometric, NOT copious. which is ironic and deceptive for a luxury brand, supposedly the opposite of austere and simple! wealth whispers would be a classic type motto. but money on display is always R, always redundant, almost always past-oriented, and once again ironically very feminine-coded even if wealth is and was mostly in men's hands worldwide.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
as a pompous, infuriating and exaggerated example, look at the german castle neuschwanstein of bavarian king ludwig above, or (jump scare) mar-a-lago's wasteful wannabe versailles-style interiors below.
Tumblr media
insanity how this can exist. note how "princess"-like it all is, the inverse of masculine, hard, dark, angular, strong yang. showing material affluence is confusingly yin? 😅 as if, a guy is so rich, he can quite literally afford to display femininity in his interiors. nothing about this alludes to D, FN, SD.
Tumblr media
you wouldn't guess a guy like trump lives there. soft fabrics, candles, florals, ruffles, lace, pastels... everything we associate with hyperfemininity and the romantic type: the inverse of donald who is a flamboyant natural (tall + width), men's 'chad/archetype' of our time — paired with the SD trend — and fashion's towering ideal body ever since the 90s (claudia, gigi, candice, naomi, adriana etc, and all male models ever, like tyson beckford).
Tumblr media
quite a political and aesthetic paradox, the world upside down. maybe - on top of trump dressing business pure classic, i.e. far off his type - that's why he looks out of place, as if you photoshopped it in.
Tumblr media
PS: the stereotypical villain's castle in fiction is almost always gloomy and pure dramatic, immediately signalling its intent without hiding. (minas morgul in lotr, maleficent in disney)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
talk about excess, anyway, and that's where i answer the question: the notoriously well-off catholic church is very SD/R in its aesthetic, too, similar to european aristocracy. that's probably why many italian fashion houses love a yin branding. rounded yin is catholic (st mark's basilica, venice). italy idolizes the yin body type.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
^look how dolce & gabbana draws from this to make it TR. that's why i include architecture in this post. it intertwines.
if you look at many historic arabic garments/buildings or especially dynastic china, too, pure R is also prominent in noble dress and art. if you want to study the romantic type, study ottoman and chinese (fashion) culture. even the men wear waist emphasis, decorative fabric, dresses/skirts, rounded head gears and fine jewels.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
all of this heavily influences luxury today, which is why i took some time diving into history.
so, finally: ROMANTIC BRANDS!
as mentioned, versace is very ornamental yin overall, even the logo. no sharp D lines to be seen. they do several kibbe types, but R is a huge focus.
Tumblr media
dolce & gabbana is always between TR, SD, and pure R. chungha being soft gamine fits the brand. she always wears R and TR. this brand is the most yin in europe, IMO.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
guo pei, the most wonderful and well-crafted of all. such details, pure R eye candy. my favorite. it's no surprise they successfully dressed rihanna (SD). guo pei is a genius. everything she does is yin.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
she is one of the few designers who shares her own essence with her clothing creations. guo is also very yin.
robert wun is always going tumblr viral. those light reflective fabrics. it's the darker side of romantic, not soft and sweet. still, draped and translucent, only sometimes SD and TR. i think robert is the frontier to make romantic lines modern and gender-neutral. so good.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
smaller/lesser-known/less pricey R brands:
innika choo
chi chi london
confete
loveshackfancy
sir the label
morning lavender
revolve
icy city co
jessa kae
shopbop
doen
steele
lacemade
chicwish
for love and lemons
miss patina
hope this helped! thank you for reading and sending such an interesting question.

zutara fits perfectly with the motif of balance in atla which makes it even more irritating that they didn’t end up together canonically.
because a large part of the show emphasizes balance between all 4 elements. this is most emphasized in the swamp,
See this whole swamp is actually just one tree spread out over miles. Branches spread and sink, take root, and spread some more. One big, living organism. Just like the entire world.
You think you're any different from me or your friends or this tree? If you listen hard enough, you can hear every living thing breathing together. You can feel everything growing. We're all living together, even if most folks don't act like it. We all have the same roots and we are all branches of the same tree.
and in bitter work.
There is energy all around us. The energy is both yin and yang. Positive energy and negative energy. Only a select few firebenders can separate these energies. This creates an imbalance. The energy wants to restore balance, and in a moment the positive and negative energy come crashing back together, you provide release and guidance, creating lightning.
Fire is the element of power. The people of the Fire Nation have desire and will, and the energy and drive to achieve what they want.
Earth is the element of substance. The people of the Earth Kingdom are diverse and strong. They are persistent and enduring.
Air is the element of freedom. The Air Nomads detached themselves from worldly concerns and found peace and freedom.
Water is the element of change. The people of the Water Tribe are capable of adapting to many things. They have a deep sense of community and love that holds them together through anything.
It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If you take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale. Understanding others, the other elements, and the other nations will help you become whole.
balance. the 4 elements balance each other out; fire and water, earth and air. you can not have one without having the other. tui and la. yin and yang.
it’s what makes seeing zuko adapt different bending styles in his firebending so beautiful, because as he grows and he learns beyond the fire nation supremacist propaganda, he becomes a stronger bender by absorbing what he learned.
and this notion of balance being so important would make perfect storytelling sense to have zuko and katara end up together. both, who on the surface are opposites: katara, a self-trained (nothing for u pakku) waterbender from the southern water tribe, who grew up in a war torn extremely small village, and zuko, the banished fire prince. but though they seem to be worlds apart, they share experiences and feelings that no one else in the gaang does.
like that’s thematically so good??? but bryke needed their self insert flopness of it all.
like GUYS HELLO. FIRE AND WATER. SUN AND MOON. TUI AND LA. YIN AND YANG. THEMATIC. GENIUSNESS. but no 😆

Nezha's Power Catalog: FSYY
Well, since @journeytothewestresearch has pinged me and @ruibaozha in an ask way back when, we are doing a catalog of Nezha's powers together. I'll be taking the FSYY part.
Google Doc Version
...
Disclaimer: I'm not counting powers from his treasures, such as the Wind-Fire Wheels giving him super speed and allowing him to take flight.
I'm also excluding the invisibility talisman Taiyi drew on him in Chapter 12, since, unlike his Three-headed Eight-Armed Form, it's not a skill or permanent alteration.
...
Pre-resurrection:
Advanced physical maturity - I don't know what to call “A newborn baby being able to jump and run around right after emerging from a ball of flesh”, but this is probably it. (Chapter 12)
Unusual height - 6ft tall 7 years old kid, though this might just be a result of FSYY's weird sense of scale. (Chapter 12)
Super strength - A 7 years old kid killing Li Gen the Yaksha with a Qiankun Ring to the head likely counts as super strength. In Ao Bing's case, he drags him off the steed with the Huntian Sash first before the bonking. (Chapter 12)
Still, his later beatdown of Ao Guang and being able to draw the Qiankun Bow no one else could lift? Yeah, definitely super strength. (Chapter 13)
Five Elements Travel: Earth - After Ao Guang storms off to make a complaint to JE, Nezha uses Earth Travel to go to Taiyi's abode and ask for help. It's activated by grabbing a handful of dirt and tossing it into the air. (Chapter 12)
Travel to the Celestial Realm - After Taiyi puts an invisibility talisman on him, he goes to wait for Ao Guang under the Celestial Realm's gates. (Chapter 12)
Dream Communication - Talking to Lady Yin in her dream after his suicide. (Chapter 14)
A generic ghost power, as shown by later instances of Wen Zhong and Yin Jiao's souls warning King Zhou in his dreams, before they go into the Terrace of Investiture. (Chapter 52, Chapter 66)
Efficiency at granting prayers - After Lady Yin builds a temple for him, he is said to be able to fulfill all the wishes of his worshippers, from granting blessings to warding off disasters.  (Chapter 14)
Materialization - After Li Jing's destruction of his temple, Nezha goes to protest to Taiyi, and the narration says that “After receiving incense and worship for half a year, Nezha is able to take a form and voice himself to some extent.” (哪吒受了半年香烟,已觉有些形声)
It is implied here that ghosts can become corporeal again via people's worship, though, from the looks of it, Nezha has only become visible and audible, and doesn't have a physical body yet at the point of the temple's destruction. (Chapter 14)
Post-Resurrection:
Unusual height (Again) - He grows from 6ft to “1 Zhang 6 Chi” after his resurrection, which is about 15-18 ft. (Chapter 14)
Spear arts - Taught by Taiyi. (Chapter 14)
Samadhi Fire - When Wenshu ties him to the Flying Dragon Pillar and orders Jinzha to whip him, he is described as “blowing out Samadhi Fire from his seven orifices” (打的三昧真火七窍齐喷). This may or may not be metaphorical. (Chapter 14)
It must also be noted that FSYY's Samadhi Fire is not the Red Boy-exclusive special attack of JTTW, and multiple Daoists from both Chan and Jie Sects are able to use it.
The best example is when Nezha and his brothers, Lei Zhenzi, Huang Tianhua, and Weihu try to burn Ma Shan with the Samadhi Fire on Jiang Ziya's orders, which doesn't work because he's a lampwick spirit, who proceeds to escape through the flames. (Chapter 63)
Lotus Body: Immunity to soul-based attacks - In Chapter 37, the narration then explains that all beings of flesh and blood possess the Three Souls and Seven Spirits, and Zhang Guifang's spell works by forcefully scattering them.
Nezha, because of his lotus body, does not have souls, thus granting him immunity to the attack.
This will become a recurrent thing. Here's a list of all the soul-based treasures and spells that fail against Nezha:
Zhang Guifang's Unhorsing Spell (Chapter 37)
Zheng Lun's nose beams (Chapter 57)
Chijing Zi/Yin Hong's Yin-Yang Mirror (Chapter 60)
Guangcheng Zi/Yin Jiao's Soulfell Bell (Chapter 65)
Qiu Yin's Red Pearl (Chapter 74)
Fa Jie's banner (Chapter 79)
Long Anji's Paralyzing Ring (Chapter 79)
Bian Ji's Spectral White Bone Banner (Chapter 84)
And here's a collection of his sassy responses:
“Bastard, I'm staying on these wheels and you ain't calling me off them!” (Against Zhang Guifang)
“Dude, are you sick or something, blowing your nose at me like that?” (Against Zheng Lun)
“Idiot, it's just a red orb. What's so special about it, huh?” (When Qiu Yin tells him to take a look at the pearl)
“Your ring sucks, check out mine!” (To Long Anji, right before bonking him with the Qiankun Ring and killing him)
Lotus Body: Resistance to physical attacks - Spells can't knock Nezha off his wheels, but weapons like Yang Sen's Sky-opening Pearl, Wen Zhong and Zhao Gongming's whips, and Guangcheng Zi/Yin Jiao's Heaven-turning Sealstone can. (Chapter 38, Chapter 42, Chapter 47, Chapter 63)
However, he doesn't seem to suffer any lasting injuries afterwards. The only non-magical/poisonous injury that sticks for a while is some bruises, from getting hit in the face by Deng Chanyu's Five Light Stones. (Chapter 53)
Lotus Body: Immunity to diseases - When Lv Yue puts his plague pills into Xi Qi's water supply, the entire city falls victim to the sorcerous plague, save for Nezha and Yang Jian, because of the former's lotus body and the latter's Ninefold Mystic Arts. (Chapter 58)
Later, Yu Hualong's five sons create five bushels of poisonous poxes, which are spilled all over the Zhou camp from the air, giving everyone magical, five-colored smallpox.
Once again, Nezha is immune, and Yang Jian, knowing that the Yu brothers are up to something, gets the hell out of dodge before the pox spell is unleashed. Cue Nezha complaining of them “Pulling a Lv Yue again”. (Chapter 81)
Immunity to the Soul-Killing Banner (戮魂旛) - The treasure in question belongs to Yu Hua: when raised, it unleashes/turns into multiple streams of black smoke that covers the victim and whisks them away. (Chapter 32)
Subsequently, he tries to use it against Nezha, but Nezha just grabs the smokes, seizes the treasure, and stuffs it into his Leopard Skin Sack. This may or may not fall under the umbrella of “Immunity to Soul-based Attacks”. (Chapter 33)
Counterspell: Pearl Attack - Feng Lin can blow a cloud of smoke out of his mouth, which contains a bowl-sized red pearl that functions as a projectile weapon. Nezha just points his finger at the smoke, and it fizzles out. (Chapter 36)
Supernatural endurance: Red Sand Formation - One of the Ten Formations, it contains three bushels of red sand, which can create a giant sandstorm that reduces any humans and immortals who enter the formation to powder. (Chapter 44)
Nezha and Lei Zhenzi are assigned to protect King Wu, the only person who can break the formation…because Fate Says So, but is also Fated to get trapped in there for 100 days. So naturally, Nezha and Lei Zhenzi get stuck in there alongside him. (Chapter 49)
When Old Man of the South Pole breaks the formation, Nezha and Lei Zhenzi are fine, but King Wu is already dead and has to be resurrected via a magical pill. (Chapter 51)
I'm not putting this under Resistance to Physical Attacks because, unlike the weapons, I'm unsure as to whether the red sand is magical in nature.
Resistance to poison: Blood-melting Knife (化血神刀) - Limited, since Nezha is still severely injured and incapacitated by Yu Hua's new treasure (made by his master Yu Yuan). However, for mortals, a wound from the knife is pretty much an insta-kill. (Chapter 74)
Three-headed, Eight-Armed Form - After Nezha is injured by Yu Hua's knife, he's taken back to Taiyi's abode to recover. When he's ready to leave, Taiyi offers him three cups of wine and three “fire jujubes”, which gives him his iconic multi-headed and armed transformation.
Unlike in JTTW, FSYY's Nezha has 8 arms instead of 6. Presumably, the 2 extra ones are used to wield the Yin-Yang Swords, the pair of weapons Taiyi gives to him alongside the Nine Fire Dragon Bell Cover…which never get used afterwards.
Upon switching to the multi-headed and limbed form, his appearance also changes into a blue-faced, red-haired, fanged monstrosity, which is not too dissimilar to the fierce guardian deities of esoteric Buddhism. (Chapter 76, Chapter 79)
Also, amusing reaction to his new transformation: “Dangit master, how am I supposed to use all these arms? They are like ugly branches on a tree.” (Chapter 76)
Sagehood in Flesh (肉身成圣) - Nezha is said to attain the status post-war, alongside his brothers, Li Jing, Lei Zhenzi, Wei Hu, and Yang Jian.
Basically, immortality and godhood, but it doesn't require you to die in Ancient China's Bloodiest Bureaucracy Recruitment Program first. (Chapter 100)

Probably shouldn't speak on it for my own peace of mind but I will because I wanna say it. Some of yall need to let ppl have hcs 😭 More specifically the ones that don't make your fav character as nice as you want them to be.
Yknow what this is specifically about punch out where arguable theres like. Barely any characterization besides bare bones. And people know that but also don't for some reason
Like hc Aran Ryan as a super soft dude who's idk secretly rlly sensitive and no one bats an eye, hc him to be a cheater and society goes WILD
Like oh "why does he have to be a cheater just because he cheats in the ring—" BECAUSE WHY NOT???? God forbid i have fun with a story of him being a cheater because he's scared of any kind of commitment so he actively sabotoges his own relationships to the point he's so used to it that anything else seems foreign. Also I'm sorry but that man looks insane he has broken laws and I could see it going either way on whether or not infedility is something he adds onto the list. Maybe when he was younger and stupider.
Like what if I wanna make these boxers a bit of an asshole???? Asshole characters are fun to draw/write and I'm not trying to go out and say it's canon or say he's for sure a bad person or he totally can't be gentle with his partner.
Like I don't wanna say too much cuz im just the same but sometimes people take things too personally and punch out is one of the last fandoms to argue about correct or incorrect characterization 😭 for every yin there's the yang and im the yin ig
Tldr: as long as the hc isn't like. Morally and legally reprehensible who cares.

Note
found your mad scientist WWX au while I had a cold and it is FEEDING ME like your writing is so yummy!!! I vibed with it at the beginning but I am LOVING the Creatureification of WWX, like man is feral and it’s amazing.
also read Loosing hope and holy shit in the beginning I had to take break every few paragraphs cuz I could read through the in eyes!
AUUUUGGGGHH THANK YOU SO MUUUUCCCHHH. Losing Hope is my precious baby, the first thing I think I fully committed to writing like, ever. If you can't tell, I have a penchant for dropping Wei Wuxian into what I like to call the trauma pool and then holding him in there for a while while I play snake. I'm so glad you like it!!! And the mad scientist AU? THANK YEW. I didn't expect it to gain the traction that it did lmfao. To feed you a little more, take THIS MINI POST!!!!! Wen Chao is a cowering bitch by the time Wei Ying gets to him. He must have heard the screams and the cries of those meant to protect him, and it's hard to forget that Wei Ying was only recently covered in the blood and gore of his main bodyguard for years. It's almost amusing - he hasn't even used guidao yet, wiping down Suibian's blade with a scrap ripped from a dead body on his way up, and Wen Chao is already acting like he's gutted someone right in front of him. Personally, he can't wait to see how the other boy will react when he does let Chenqing have some fun as well. Despite his fear, Wen Chao still sneers and pretends that he has any sort of control in this situation. That Wei Ying hasn't come here for the sole purpose of giving him the same treatment his father gave his family.
"You don't scare me," the whimpering lump hisses out, leaving him rolling his eyes as he leans back against the wall opposite him, "I've seen you at your most pathetic." Which, of course, is strange. If being at his most 'pathetic' involved still gripping a chunk of Wen Zhuliu's heart with hands cut by the same man's bones, then that can only be classed as a good thing in his eyes. So, he just smiles and shrugs, uncaring of whatever taunts Wen Chao may have to him as he begins to slowly advance on him, relishing in the fear shining in those dark eyes. His unusual silence only scares Wen Chao more as he huddles further into the corner he has tried to sequester himself away in, leading him to snapping and saying "it doesn't matter what you do! The Wen are going to be victorious soon anyway!"
It could just be stalling, but Wei Ying is intrigued. He already speculated that the enemy had something big planned to even let Wen Chao away from Qishan, which is why he's got a couple of crows drifting nearby in case they need to send some sort of message or carry something quickly, but this is the confirmation he desired. He raises a brow, pointing out Suibian and letting her blade say everything that he does not care to. The Wen heir flinches back but doesn't back down, which is both useful and impossibly moronic, spluttering about how it will be too late by the time Wei Ying gets back, that the Wen and Jin have surrounded their war camp undetected by using Wei Ying's own talisman designs. This, this hits him hard, even if he shows no visible reaction. If something bad has happened because of his designs, he'll never be able to forgive himself.
He reminds himself that if there is an attack, he already sent a crow off with the Yin Tiger Tally (created on a whim in the Burial Mounds) to give it to the Burial Mounds so It could protect the camp in his absence, but still sends another crow off to go do a round of the camp with a flick of his hand. By the time the crow gets back, he's already halfway through holding Wen Chao down and surgically slicing off bits of his skin, taunting him with blood slicked fingers as he tries to get him to eat it. One of his arms has been sliced open and his bone is being picked at by another one of the crows, and Wei Ying is going to draw this out for as long as he can, no matter how 'sadistic' it makes him. With everything he's done to those 'volunteers', it's only right that Wen Ruohan has offered his son as a 'volunteer' for Wei Ying's experiments.
The crow comes swooping in, perching on his shoulder and speaking to him of the battle currently going on in the war camp. Wei Ying growls at the thought, frustration contorting his face as he looks down at the bawling, snot nosed brat he's dealing with, not wanting to let him go but also not wanting to leave his friends alone in this issue. Even though the Burial Mounds is with them, he still feels that pang of fear at the thought of his family being in danger. So, without hesitation, he grabs Wen Chao by the scruff of his collar and yanks him up, determined to not let him escape his grasp no matter how much he squeals and squirms. If the enemy wishes to make a show out of every attack against his family, then Wei Ying will return the favour.
