Thinking about how he consulted the rabbits to lan Xichen because he liked them and wanted to keep them but he can't keep them so he doesn't know what to do but his xiongzang must know because older brothers know everything. Thinking about how this trust probably dissipated to nothing after those 33 whips.

Simple question since you love ranking titles; rank every completed danmei you've finished. I know there's not alot of finished titles from 7seas yet.

1) Guardian by Priest

I love Guardian a lot! Priest has a way of writing yearning that is so compelling to me. Also the work place banter in this is top tier.

My all time favourite extra (it will take a lot to beat it) is also here. Almost good enough to make me change my view on them 🤣.

2) Lip and Sword by Jin Shisi Chai

If you love old school toxic yaoi, especially with a workplace flavour, you’ll love this. It’s very Boku no SH coded. I really enjoyed the concepts at play here and the smut is prominent. What I will say is the translation and editing for this series is not great and if you read them all back to back like I did, it can be a bit jarring.

3) Remnants of Filth by Meatbun

I’ll be honest, once upon a time I was very ride or die when it came to Yuwu. However… vol 6 onwards lost me completely and I hate the ending. The angst and torture porn in the first half is A++ and I do love how Meatbun found herself writing quite a wholesome couple in Ximang. However I would say if you’re a Meatbun fan it is not very Meatbun. A lot of the later tropes she uses she has definitely done a lot better elsewhere and in the authors note it does seem like she doesn’t like Yuwu and it was never the story she wanted to do which makes sense considering how it went to pot (imo).

4) Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation by Mxtx

I’ll be honest, I loved the donghua and I do love a lot of the concepts behind it. I love a good courtly drama and the different clans and stuff. The ending was definitely stolen by Jin Guangyao. It’s my favourite mxtx but no where near my favourite danmei.

5) Heaven Official’s Blessing

Baby’s first danmei! In my opinion, tgcf is a really mixed bag. Vol 1 is a drag to get through but vol 2, 3 and 6 are banger! If you’ve read tgcf and enjoyed it - please read Guardian because I honestly think it has the same vibes but the superior execution.

I’ll come back and update this eventually to add Stars of Chaos and Thousand Autumns.
