Will Nezha and his brothers get a proper face to face reunion? Or is that a little off the table with their dad situation?(Sorry if you answered this already.)

Part of the issue is that Nezha's older brothers had been teenagers when he was born, and honestly had a really hard time bonding with him when they were all mortal. Having a younger brother that's a snake-like demon-creature cus your mom was secretly a celestial princess makes things complicated.

And the fact Li Jing was openly disgusted by Nezha to the point of destroying his own son's temple/death shrine out of bitterness.

The next time either Jinzha or Muzha is said to have encountered their brother is when their father Li Jing was running for his mortal life from his resurrected son - now in a fiery god/asura-like form wreathed in lotuses. Li Jing demands that Muzha protect him as he flees, and after a tense battle; Nezha kills Muzha with a golden brick. Muzha shows up again later less than pleased, but is overall chill with it. Though considering that Li Jing literally sacrificed his middle son to save his own skin, it's no wonder why Muzha peaced out of the Celestial Realm afterwards to become Guanyin's disciple Moksa/Hui An on earth.

Jinzha was already working for the Buddha by this point, so he was a little out of the loop considering that the whole Investiture Crisis was going on.

Edit: Jinzha is instructed to flog Nezha by his master Wenshu Guangfa Tianzun when the deity stopped Nezha from killing Lu Jing + stopped Li Jing from self-deleting. No wonder none of these bros talk.

In the modern day the three barely consider each other brothers. The eldest two have all but officially denounced Li Jing as their father, and the only reason Nezha hasn't is cus Li Jing keeps him on a tight leash with the Pagoda + emotional abuse.

The healthiest thing that happens to Nezha in the last couple hundred years (at least in the TMKATI au) is him being "punished" by being sent down to the mortal realm in his true form. And of course since this ask came about pre-S5, Li Jing does seem like that sort of incompetent/petty as to kick his own kid out of Heaven for an argument gone sour.

Even if the three brothers reunite and bond over their shared terrible dad, it's a long road to go.

Nope. No he does not. Jinzha ans Muzha? They don’t care, they already are older brothers. What one more kid? But Nezha is the baby of the family, and maaaayyybe that plays into it.

He doesn’t realize it at first, but he’s jealous. If they have another kid, that takes Jing’s attention away. It’s dumb, he knows, he’s not 5 anymore. He’s an adult for heavens sake! He’s in charge of the celestial realm and everything!

But Nezha and Jing have only just started rebuilding their relationship. Nezha isn’t ready for that. Thankfully, neither is Jing, so no potential baby anytime soon.

Besides, Nezha thinks it’s hilarious to watch Lionsword scramble, and takes active participation in bullying Jing along side his brothers.

Jinzha has become a proud warrior of the heavens and has begun to advance his studies even further.

Muzha has been practicing his swordsmanship, but other than that I haven’t heard anything else from him.

He hasn’t been home for a while. He’s been spending more time in the mortal realm among Wukong and his successor’s family.

yes I am very excited for season 5

How do you think it's gonna start out? Would you prefer for it to be high stakes right away or low stakes but slowly building up to it?

If I had to choose to start season 5 I would say low stakes but slowly building up to it

Do you think we'd see any other JTTW characters in it, or maybe in later seasons?

I think that surely more jttw characters will appear as new characters or in flashbacks, personally I would bet that Erlang Shen could appear

What kind of character do you want to see in the next season, in terms of personality and role?

Ugh I have a very long list of characters I want to appear and now that you've asked I'm going to ramble on about it, bad luck for you

starting with the most probable:

The mayor

I want to know more about the character, what he was like before meeting LBD and being the mayor, getting to know his relationship with her in depth. Is he just a henchman or does he have his own motivations? what was he doing during Lady Bone Demon's confinement.

Erlang shen

I'm really dying to see what kind of character Lego Erlang Shen is, what kind of complex character he can be, will he be a villain, an antagonist or maybe an ally? Will being a demigod be important for his character? what will his relationship with Sun Wukong be like? They will be like sworn brothers or enemies

guanyin goddess of mercy

I really want to know what the lmk writers will do with Guanyin, how important his role would be in the series, taking into account his importance in Journey to the West, I think it would be great if it turned out that all this time Guanyin was secretly watching over MK and his friends helping them without them knowing. I mean, she always helped the pilgrims on their journey and could do the same for mk and his friends. I also wonder if his relationship with Red Son exists in lmk.

Ao bing

I really want Ao bing to appear, I don't care how or why. basically because I think it would be cool for the fandom to see that Monkey King isn't the only one with skeletons in the closet. It would also be interesting to see Nezha face someone from his past that he thought was buried and that he would never see again

Taibai Jinxing (Gold star of venus) I would really like him to appear to help the protagonists

Nezha's family I would like to see Nezha's family even if it's just in flashbacks, especially muzha and LI Jing

lady earth Flow I'm really curious to know what his design would be like in the series.

Jade faced fox although if she appeared I highly doubt that her relationship with the demon Bull King would be the same as in the novel

The ones that are least likely to appear but I want them to appear so bad:

Spindrax

I know the writers wrote it off for Strong Spider, but it would be great to see the spiders again. Maybe as an idea here the character of Spindrax wants to revive the spider queen or maybe avenge the spider queen, the writers could use to spindrax to show us spider queen's past and also give mei a badass biker rival (cough girlfriend cough)

Rumble & Savage

I know that many think that the macaque is practically redeemed, if they think that that is perfectly fine. but in my opinion I do not agree with that, because the basic thing in a redemption is that the character realizes his mistakes and repents of his bad actions, Yes, Macaque helped defeat the bad guys and everything. but he has no regrets for the damage he did to mk and his friends I thought it would be great for Macaque's future redemption arc to have him face his own past mistakes and what better way to do that is face the little versions of himself who want revenge of you and they won't hesitate to hurt your loved ones in the process just to see you suffer (cough karma cough)

Bone spirits

I really wanted to see Lady Bone Demon's army in the specials, They are literally the only villainous army not to make an appearance in the show and which I think is a big waste imagine that the mayor was not the only follower of lbd, if there were other followers and allies of her, plus it would be interesting to see more spirits or demons like LBD, besides I love his designs I mean who doesn't like skeletons with hoods.

I would love for all three of the Lotus Princes to appear in S5, mostly cus I want Nezha to have to deal with his older brothers.

Muzha, the right-hand to Guanyin herself and Second Lotus Prince.

Jinzha, literal golden-boy to the Celestial Realm and the First Lotus Prince.

Cue them appearing on the scene and the three bros going full Huey, Dewey, and Louie on eachother. Like completely devolves into childish insults and roughhousing. They may be immortal, but they're still brothers.

So it shocks everyone to see Tang is the only one able to wrangle them into behaving themselves. Must be the Golden Cicada energy. Or the dad energy, who knows.

In ancient and even modern China, white is the color of mourning, especially for family/spouses.

The celestial guards wear yellow. Nezha wears pink. The Jade emperor wears green. Li Jing wears white.

Lady Yin is the reincarnation of the Jade emperors second daughter. She was also Li Jing’s wife for a very long time. She was one of his closest confidants, his best friend, and the mother of his children. It’s not something you just… let go of. So when the Jade Emperor enstates a mourning period for her post-death… Jing doesn’t protest.

But eventually, you have to move on. Centuries pass. Nezha, his brothers, the Jade family, everyone has stopped wearing white. Time has loved on.

But when Jing tries to do it… he is properly pulled aside by the Jade emperor and calmly informed that the mourning period for him as a Widower as not needed. This confuses him, but Jing chalks it up to celestial time differences.

But Centuries pass. Everytime Jing attempts to wear another color then white, he is rebuffed/criticized. Once, he had attempted to wear something black to keep warm on a cold day, and the Jade emperor emperor blew his casket.

Li Jing only brought up the prospects of re-marrying once in the company of an advisor. It was off handed, but when the advisor mentioned it to the emperor…

Li Jing was… informed that it would not be happening. As his wife had (technically) been a celestial princess, it would be inappropriate for him to remarry. That’s when Jing realizes that he would likely never have another intimate relationship like Yin again, married or not. If marriage was enough to set the JE off, then pre-marital intimacy was absolutely off the table.

And for a very long time, Jing adheres to that. He does not want to incur the JE’s wrath again. But… then he meets Azure, and suddenly everything goes ona. Tightrope. And during the peak of the war, when he finally breaks the rules… he has to be very careful.

But now the JE is dead, Azure is back, and Nezha is in charge. The world has nearly fallen apart, and held together only by a thread. It really put some things into perspective, and the conclusion Li Jing came too was… he was done.

He was done mourning for the wife and friend that’s been dead for thousands of years. He’s done being alone. He’s done following the rules. And It’s not overnight, He’s got a while to go. But the first thing Li Jing does to start?

He stops wearing white.

(This is maybe an excuse to change up Jing’s wardrobe going forward.)

Don't have specific theories but here's some I like and/or made myself

- Macaque's creator is the Wind, or how I call them, the Winds of the World

- The other 2 Celestial Primates, Baboon and Gibbon, are older than Wukong and Macaque and have lived another life time before them

- Erlang Shen was probably sent on a mission far away so he doesn't know what's happened, I'd like to think he's on Vacation, but with Wukong once again chasing trouble and Heaven in danger, seems unlikely he'd be on vacation without anyone trying to get his help

- Okay this is a long one- back in the Spider Queen special when the gang went to Heaven and it was weirdly empty- I feel like someone on the inside, Heaven, knew what they were doing and cleared most of Heaven to help them

- Same as above, mostly, I feel like that same person ordered the noodles in Seaspn 1 a Hero is born. 1, PIF hadn't tried Pigys Noodles till later in the season, Redson only cared about 'His moment' in freeing his father and probably wouldn't order noodles in case that's ruined, the Bull Clones can't eat what's the point, and FINNALY, Wukong didn't know MK so how could he just order noodles specifically for MK to be there?!

Just feels like someone's been helping the Gang since the beginning

And my theory is that it's the Gold Star of Venus

Why?

The only member of Heaven to usually have a brain cell qnd voice of reason, 2, he's helped Wukong and Tripitaka before, 3, he's weirdly been absent, especially in season 4 considering he's the Jade Emperors assistant

- Oh and also I think Wukong didn't know Nuwa created him till Season 4
