🦁 Turns out that in the split second MK was in the pillar with Nuwa, the world had begun to reset. Starting with brining back those who had been lost.

🦁 Azure awoke, unsure how or why he was alive.

🦁 He no longer had the Jade Emperor’s power, nor his left arm.

🦁 He was scarred where the universe had torn him apart, his face and body marred with the beautiful galaxy like cracks.

🦁 He didn’t expect to immediately be apprehended by the Celestial Armies, especially not by the Pagoda Wielding General Li Jing.

👑 Li Jing had been sent to collect Azure Lion the minute his magic was sensed in the mortal realm. Not expecting to see the pathetic state the lion was in.

👑 Missing an arm, covered in scars, and refusing to even fight back. Azure willingly surrendered and pled guilty to his crimes.

👑 Normally, the punishment for the killing a celestial official, especially one as high as the Jade Emperor, was execution.

👑 But, the courts took pity on the lion, considering his self sacrifice as a factor in their decision.

👑 Instead, he would be placed in the care of the celestial armies to be rehabilitated.

👑 And just who took responsibility for him, but the same general who brought him in.

❤️ Azure and Li Jing surprisingly had a lot in common with each other. The older general was stern, but the lion could tell he had soft heart inside.

❤️ It didn’t take long for them to get close, and after a night of too much wine, closer ;3

❤️ So, Li Jing got an oversized house cat that always helps him out.

❤️ Azure also makes sure Li Jing doesn’t overwork himself like a cat demanding to be on their owner’s desk.

❤️ And when that doesn’t work he just picks him up lmao

❤️ His son on the other hand doesn’t seem to enjoy the new addition to their household.

❤️ Especially not when he finds the lion napping on his father’s lap, the older man refusing to move until he wakes up.

I honestly think Peng's outfit is a bit boring compared to the others, I don't dislike it, but it's kinda hard to do much with they're body type since he's a bird demon.

(BTW, I used Erraday's (twt/insta) art of Yellow-tusk as a reference for his body type/pose because.. I literally cannot find any decent references for anthropomorphic elephant characters - at least none that fit my vision of the character)

I'm like 100% sure Xiang Liu not only manipulates Azure but Lady Bone Demon as well.

Now, hear me out. So, by this point, I'm sure everyone can see Azure and Bone Demon's goals were similar but, has anyone ever noticed that they're BOTH unyieldingly confident in themselves? One could reason Lady Bone Demon is like this because of her belief in her destiny, or rather the dream she's had:

"For as long as time itself, I've had this recurring dream. At first, its meaning was unclear. Now, I know it was a premonition. The very moment I finally achieved my ambition: to perfect this imperfect world."

But what brings about this dream? Why is she having it? Clearly, not because she was some sort of chosen one, but maybe to assist Xiang Liu in his plans somehow. I believe this to be so because even without the Samadhi Fire, her presence is seen and felt in the Celestial Realm:

See how that shockwave of hers goes straight through the Jade Palace into the rest of the Celestial Realm? But I don't think this thing just turned the sky an ominous blue, no, I think this very thing weakened the Jade Emperor! Nezha brings up JE's state only twice, but the wording of the second really stuck with me:

"The Jade Emperor was already weakened."

Meaning he was weakened for sometime before Azure and Co. arrived. And what a coincidence we learn about this a season after Lady Bone Demon's shockwave hit the realm...

Sorry for the very random burst of inactivity, life has just kept me busy and my kitten has kept me tired, so not a lot of time or energy to do much.

I am still planning on updating the Cursed AU and the Swap AU, I have been mostly writing things down in my free time since I can't draw as often.

But I got some time put aside to work on some small redesign of my favorite villains, so I hope that's enough for me to be forgiven!
