i think a lot of people coddle kuai liang too much. yes he’s good and a tortured man etc. and people see that he has struggled but don’t really see that he still is struggling and has faults. even in mk12 people aren’t really talking about how he did in fact try to kill bi-han- which yes, he would have regretted, but that is still a fault you have to see in him. he’s susceptible to fits of blind rage that will make him do things he’ll regret. his anger was justified (obviously) but he’s also capable of murdering his own brother (which once again, i am sure he would have regretted).

#like criticism of writing aside- that is who he is now. he isn’t an innocent baby who needs to be constantly coddled #he’s a nice guy he’s a great guy etc etc etc but he has these negative traits that are a part of his character #idk if infantilizing would be the right word for what i feel like this fandom does to him #as much as i talk about bihan it’s kuai liang who’s the character who i love most #mostly for sentimental reasons due to being the character i first liked #but i feel like the fandom doesn’t really appreciate him as much as they want to ‘baby’ him #and once again he’s one of the purest characters out there!! but he’s also full of a lot of pain #and in mk12 we actually saw him exert that pain into rage which almost killed bihan #and it’s a negative part of him (the consequences of his blinding rage) that we have to also accept as a part of him #this isn’t directed at anyone this is just a general problem i have with the fandom #i like him a lot and think he has faults we should also appreciate him for and that negative traits in a character don’t make them a bad #character but make them more interesting 👍#i think his anger is now brushed off as ‘oh yeah it’s justified’ and like yeah but also do you see how he almost killed bihan? how he #violently killed the guards?#how he would have done that to bihan if he was not stopped by a gaurd?#his anger is beyond something that’s just ‘justified’ it’s also something that *can* control him #and yes i’m aware he ended up sparing bihan after their fight but that’s not the point i’m making #kuai liang #talking;

I’m in the very early stages of starting a little diy zine about horror movies! I have no experience in this so advice is appreciated lol. But I’m hoping to have it out by July. I’m calling it PHOBIA and the theme of this one is summer horror, so not strictly ones that take place in summer but they got the vibes. Along with the horror theme there’s also gonna be a smaller section about upcoming music/concerts/etc too. Going to attempt to have it in print but it may end up digital if that’s easier for me. And I’m having open submissions!

I’m open to all things, art, reviews and rantings, movie recommendations, original fiction or horror poetry, even your urban legends (got a story about a evil ice cream truck lol I’d love to hear it!). The subjects so far are:

is it silly that i genuinely think learning to do my makeup is one of the best things i’ve ever done?

#to preface this- obviously i don’t think that anyone should EVER feel like they have to wear makeup to look presentable #not wearing makeup is normal and there is no bare minimum for makeup products anyone should be required to wear #but in the past year i’ve started to learn how to properly do my makeup #and honestly? it’s one of the greatest skills i’ve learned #it’s really therapeutic (despite the wild strings of cursing that comes from doing eyeliner)#the brushes and stuff have such a nice texture on my face and in my hands- it automatically calms me down #i love the packaging of all the products (i feel like a crow whenever i’m shopping for new ones bc i love the pretty bottles and tubes)#it’s honestly just fun to do as well- like using highlighter on the tip of my nose? that shit gives me so much serotonin holyyyyy #and i get to feel extra pretty for a little bit after i first put it on which is always a bonus!!#my hands have gotten steadier (though they’re still kinda wobbly it’s manageable)#there is no feeling better than getting an eyeliner wing perfect first try #plus i get to have glitter on my face?! HELL YEAH!!!!#i dunno just. i’m glad i taught myself cause it makes me really happy #fuck the beauty industry though. there’s so much bullshit there #FUCK anyone and anything that preys on and creates insecurities to sell products. it’s BULL. SO THERE WAS THIS FUNNY LITTLE THING about ‘cyber corruption’ that made things a little bit . . . DIFFICULT. an asterisk on the side of the word , or that ever-elusive fine print at the bottom of the page. because cyber corruption — well that implied a sort of REPLACEMENT of what was with something foreign and unsafe. ( tails would compare it to maybe a MALWARE , of sorts , if it happened to one of his gizmos. )

this happened to be ONE OF THOSE TIMES , as sonic dashed into tails’ workshop and skid to a stop. then , reached for the back of tails’ work chair and spun him around with a lopsided grin across his face.
